RP Board Planning - Original 5 [opening date: 7/21/2020]

     I'm a little late on here, but congrats everyone!

     I promise to rewrite one of ThunderClan's traditions tomorrow. Am I rewriting SkyClan's nest decoration one as well or would someone else want to?

     I know I don't want us picking Clans to be secondaries to because that leaves an odd man out. For territory placement rotation, we have like four options? WindClan > RiverClan > ShadowClan > ThunderClan > SkyClan > Back to WindClan. Or.. SkyClan > ThunderClan > ShadowClan > RiverClan > WindClan > Back to SkyClan. Third option would be kinda weird as it's a bounce, so.. SkyClan > RiverClan > WindClan > ThunderClan > ShadowClan. The other would be reversed. I think alphabetical and the two first territory placements would work.

     So, for this, a secondary leader only gets power to accept people for a Clan they don't own if the leader and mod(s) are gone. They also keep an eye and make sure things are running smoothly. If there is a Gathering and they are having to run both their own and a secondary, they will only have the Clan show at Fourtrees and report the news.

     Hello, it's little ol' me again. So while I was going to rewrite some of the traditions for ThunderClan due to some of Owl's valid concerns, I noticed that there were a few things that confused me. I was rereading all of the traditions to prevent from copying them too much. (I know we can't avoid some similarities.)

     One concern I had was in ShadowClan's tradition "A Night Alone in The Woods" where it implies that there is a ceremony for senior apprentices. I know we're separating apprentices into young and older to make the tasks that we discussed easier to moderate and we're also dividing warriors by age as well. So I wasn't sure if this was an intention, as it could be changed to "before they turn nine moons old, they..." so we don't have to write out a ceremony.

     We've already touched on ThunderClan's adder tradition, but they seem to share a greenleaf tradition with RiverClan and I was wondering if you guys wanted to change that a little bit and in which Clan.

     Another one that is shared with RiverClan is SkyClan's nest decoration. I remember some people already saying okay to this change due to RiverClan having canon favor. But I just wanted to remind everyone.

     Lastly, I was confused by ThunderClan's "Senior Council" tradition, as it's one that is already semi-canon but seems to imply power is taken away from the leader? I think it's how it's worded not to mention that a leader typically consults their deputy and senior warriors on matters and they talk it out. It kind of takes away from the drama of one of the highly controversial codes that a leader's word is law.

     I'm still going to reread them all again and see if there is anything that we may need to change before Owl proofreads them.

"Ultimately, the leader gets to make the final decision, but it is highly frowned upon for the leader to go against the council’s majority vote."

     Is the line I'm referring to, as I feel like if a leader decides against the council too often, then it gets to where everyone questions the leader. I understand that can and will happen, but I feel like that directly conflicts the leader's word is law. It also can pressure a leader into a vote when the leader has been chosen as deputy and leader and has the blessing of StarClan with nine lives. It's also very close to canon so seems redundantly mundane.
