She found her own place in line, though she made sure to save a spot next to her for Eclair. The two may be rivals from here on out but she knew the importance of wanting to be first. Once the two were situated together, she let a small huff of air. Her comment had rubbed her wrong, her team was perfectly capable the way they were. If anything, waiting to evolve would help them become stronger before they made the final leap. "Have you ever thought that evolving your pokémon wasn't everything? I mean, when I evolved my two eevees their whole personality changed. Aren't you the slightest bit worried when your Applin evolves it may not listen to you? Or even worse, not like you anymore?" She didn't want to seem rude but it was just in her nature to be dead honest. Both of her pokémon who have evolved were completely different than they were beforehand. Instead of playing together they have started fighting more often than not.
{Btw for anyone joining and if Sparks is okay, I might start the ceremony in the next post. You're free to jump in or even afterwards rp like you were there (:

Eclair chatted absently with the other trainer as they waited. It wasn't going to be long before the gates opened, and even if she wanted to be one of the first there that didn't mean she'd stop talking to focus on waiting. She may be ready to fight, but she was also always ready to talk for hours on end. Especially if she could take about training or cooking. Since those were the two things that often took up the majority of her time "It should be opening soon." she eventually said, looking down at her phone screen again, squinting slightly to see it in the sunlight.

Lena / 27 / Female Unassuming with her long. wavy dark brown hair and youthful face, Lena often gets mistaken as a fellow trainer instead of gym leader. She has tanned complexion with gray-ish green eyes. Lena doesn't exactly have the most welcoming presence. It isn't that she is rude; she is just focused and doesn't tend to smile much while she is running her gym. She is very meticulous. She isn't the most patent person and comes off as bull-headed, especially when Lena believes she is in the right. However, she can be cheeky and playful when she isn't busy. As if the world heard her, the doors opened up to welcome the trainers inside. Kinsley shuffled inside and searched her bag for her trainer card, something that would prove she was a trainer in the Round Table and not some random kid off the streets. Upon finding it, she showed it to one of the workers and was escorted into the back room. Riolu followed her close behind, holding onto the bottom of her shirt. The two were finally left alone in a rather large room with other trainers milling about and a tv screen in the middle. On the screen was the field used for this gym, a crowd having begun to gather around the outer edges in anticipation. Kinsley felt a knot form in her stomach, nerves finally settling in. She was about to truly begin her journey and it felt so scary for once. She looked around the room for Eclair, wondering if the trainer felt the same. |

Eclair moved quickly and ended up splitting apart from Kinsley. Akane was basically being carried like a football so he wouldn't get knocked from her arms with people milling around her. When she finally got to the large room she spotted Kinsley and waved eagerly. She had already become friendly with the other, even if to anyone else it just looked like she wanted to fight and boast about herself. That's what friendship basically looked like to her "Long time no see." she greeted "You ready for this? I can't wait to get started and prove myself!" it was rare for her to actually get nervous, considering how bold she was. This however would often lead to her messing up because she doesn't have any filter or patience.

Noah was standing outside of the Fairwick Gym, the young man had a pensive look on his face as his eyes scanned the crowd. There was a lot of people milling around the city, he wasn't a big fan of crowds and considering the constant tugging of his pant leg nor was his Minccino. His blue eyes flickered down to Cheeko, who cocked her head at him, giving him an expectant look. Noah let out a sigh and leaned down to cradle the fluffy gray pokemon in his arms, "We will get out of here soon," he reassured her with a soft smile, gently rubbing the pokemon's large ears, We just have to get through this ceremony. Noah had only recently decided that roundtable was something that he was interest in. This way he could exploring with purpose... and maybe make new friends within the trainer world.
His eyes flickered back towards the gym as the doors open. Cheeko chirped in his ear before demanding to ride on his shoulders. Her fluffy gray tail swiping over his head in attempt to clean the trainer. "Cheeko," Noah hissed around his breath as he protected his eyes from her tail, "I showered beforehand. I am not dirty." He ignored Cheeko's annoyed huff as he followed the crowd into the gym. He assumed most of the people gathered were trainers... or curious bystanders. He thought he recognized some of the people but his eyes lost them in the crowd before he could be sure.

Stepping in the city, the dark brown haired girl let out a breath. Her green eyes bright as she glanced around, it seemed like it was going to be a beautiful day out. Perhaps her and Merci would take a nice walk back to Dryholde instead of using transportation. Lena looked down at her outfit, she was a gym leader. She figured she should look the part sometimes; for today's ceremony, she had decided on wearing a simple black sundress with boots to match and a orange ascot tied around her neck. She figured a warm color would be a subtle indicator of who she was. Lena had young face and when dressed in casual clothes; she had been mistaken as a simple trainer.
"Come. I believe we are late," Lena grinned down at her vulpix before taking off through the crowd while Merci swiftly followed.

She gave a short nod to the trainer. "I'm as ready as I ever will be. I think I'm most excited to see the different gym leaders in person. Sure it won't be a meet and greet of them but seeing them up close and personal will give me a better idea of who we are up against. Are you nervous at all?" She glanced back to the screen, the crowd was much larger now. Bigger than she thought was possible, had so many people come out just to see the trainers off on their journey? She knew eyes would be on them but she didn't imagine so many. Riolu even seemed a bit nervous now, clinging to her side as he looked at the trainers beside them.
{Okay so I was thinking for the opening ceremony they could introduce the gym leaders by their parts in the Round Table 'paladin or knight' that is but for trainers they'd do more of all of them at once, what do you guys think?} |

"Nervous? Why would I be nervous?" she cocked her head to the side and grinned "It's those Gym Leaders that should be nervous." her never ending confidence was something to be marveled at. She'd met the Gym Leader specializing in electric Pokemon once. He'd visited their restaurant when they first opening in this region. But she'd never actually interacted with any of the other ones, so she was eager to see what they had to offer. The Gym Leaders were supposed to be some of the strongest trainers, and many of them had rare Pokemon. She couldn't wait to see them! "Are you nervous? Better get your nerves about you before it starts."
Luca was running a bit late. Only a bit! He'd been all ready to enter the building, but got distracted and ended up in the last group to enter the building. Kazma gabbed him in the leg with a hot foot and Luca rolled his eyes "Rude. It's not like you were paying attention to the time either." he waved his hand. A lot of the trainers stood out, many of them with their own Pokemon. He noticed two girls standing closer in, they must have gotten in early, as well as another trainer with a Minccino perched on him. So far there didn't seem to be any Gym Leaders out, so he must have made it on time.
Faro stood on standby, waiting for the ceremony to start. He ran a hand through his hair and looked around at his fellow Gym Leaders. Most of them were here, minus a few running in late. They were all busy with their own towns and jobs, so it wasn't a surprise that some of them just barely made it by the skin of their teeth. He rolled a Quick Ball absently in his hand and looked at the clock on the nearby wall. When Lena finally made it to the meeting area he waved a hand and greeted her with a grin "Glad you made it! Thought you'd never make an appearance."

Slipping through the crowd with a determined face, Lena and her vulpix got into the gym in one piece. There seemed to be a decent amount of trainers outside; which wasn't a surprise. Most were eager to become the best; however, only a few would manage to get through the Paladin Gyms. She headed towards the area where she knew the rest of the gym leaders were waiting for the ceremony to start. This wasn't Lena's first ceremony nor would it be her last.
Lena glanced down to check on Merci. The vulpix still on her heels yet now, the pokemon seemed to have an annoyed look on her vulpine face, someone must had bumped or almost stepped on her. As long as Merci didn't start flickering fire at anyone, everything would be fine. Hearing a familiar voice, Lena's head snapped up to meet Faro's gaze. She walked over towards the electric's gym leader and rolled her eyes at his cheeky tone, "Maybe if we didn't have the ceremony at Fairwick, I would be on time," Lena retorted with an annoyed tone; however, her small smile gave her away, "Just be glad I didn't decide to walk here. I would have been so lately." She laughed. She would've needed to leave more earlier than she did.

She was quick to defend herself, shaking her head. "I'm not really nervous, just feels weird to be standing here finally after months of training." She had been in this stadium only once before and even then it seemed less crowded than it was now. Her brother was probably running late and was the sole reason the thing hadn't begun yet. It couldn't fit anymore people inside, she was sure of it so the hold up had to be on their end. After a few passing minutes, a single person walked out onto the field. They weren't part of the Round Table really, just the announcer for these things. They were wearing a black dress with a gray shrug thrown over top. Her hair was gray, probably had been doing things like this since before any of the trainers times. She approached the center and raised her hands, riling up the crowd.
"Welcome to the 108th Round Table event! It is with great honor I introduce you to the contestants and Gym Leaders involved. First up, we welcome the gym leaders from Knight side of the gyms. Known for their fiery personality we have Lena of the Dryholde Gym!" She waited for the gym leader to come running onto the gym floor, standing idly by. When they had approached she began on the next gym leaders. "Our second Knight gym leader is Faro, may he shock you with his abilities from the Fairwick Gym!" Kinsley stood in her spot, watching each gym leader come forward before turning to Eclair. "You think she's gonna run out of puns by the end of this?"

Eclair snorted and shook her head "I'd bet money on them having more than enough bad puns for the Gym Leaders." they probably spent a lot of time just thinking them up when they had hours to spare. She noted that Faro hadn't changed much from that last time she saw him. He was just as friendly and approachable as always, even standing up there with the rest of the Gym Leaders as their names were called out "They better have a great introduction for me when I become Queen!" she said confidently, shooting a look towards the other trainer that stood by her side.
After a few more minutes of chatting with his fellow Gym Leader they were called to their places. Faro took his spot and waited for is name to be called. When it was he walked forwards, waving to the crowd and hitting them with a bright smile. He even noticed a few faces in the crowd that he recognized. It wasn't an understatement when people said he was one of the most sociable Gym Leaders. After his introduction he moved to stand beside Lena and watched as the rest of the Gym Leaders were getting their very own introductions. Things were going well!

Taking her attention off of Faro, Lena watched as the speaker started the ceremony. She smoothed her hands over her dress, knowing in a moment she would be walking across the field. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the description "fiery personality." She was a delight. "Stay," she murmured to Merci before heading onto the field with a hand raised and a smile on her lips.
She took a position near the middle of the field before watching as Faro took his introduction with the rest of the Knight Gyms. Her eyes flickered around the gathered crowd. It felt like there was more hopefuls here than last year.

Noah followed the crowd into the stadium. His eyes wide as he glanced around the gym, "Oh wow," he muttered his breath. It seemed impressive. His blue gaze flickered towards a group of adults, whom he assumed were the gym leaders. He caught some smiles between the group; it make a sense that some of them would be friends. Noah jumped in surprise as his minccino swiped him with her tail again. The young man was too busy gawking to pay attention; thankfully Cheeko had a knat for staying focus. The ceremony and introduction was starting.

Kita / 28 / Female Kita is a slender young lady, standing at a shorter height of 5'2". For being the Dragon Gym Leader one might never guess it. She has soft features and a bright smile, with a dash of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Her hair is a platinum blonde and often pulled up into two messy buns atop her head. Kita has strands that fall around her face and are pulled precisely to frame in a cute style. Her eyes are a bright golden color framed with thick black lashes. She will often put small black triangles beneath her eyes as decoration. When she smiles it almost seems like her canine teeth are just a bit sharper than normal. She usually wears a black turtleneck shirt with a long vest with a similar pattern to Kommo-o's layered scales. Her pants are black leggings and she wears deep red boots. A very bright and bubbly person, Kita is usually seen smiling and engaging in conversation with fellow leaders, trainers, and others in the training world. Happy-go-lucky and a free-spirit she is a very approachable person. Though, in battle her golden eyes take on a fiery spark and she can be as fierce as the dragons she trains. In any other serious topics she is all business and understands her role as a Gym Leader. However, she is always willing to take a break and sit down for some lunch with a friend. It's often common place for Kita, after a gym battle, whether she has won or lost, to give positive feedback and advice to those she has battled. She does have quite the fear of bug-type pokemon, and often shows than when they appear to battle against her.

Deino is her newest and youngest pokemon and doesn't participate in battles. Though is often at her side when out and about to socialize and learn.
Allelujah (Lulu) / 18 / Female Lulu is a tall individual, about 5'8" at full height. She has caramel toned skin with freckles across her nose, checks, and down to her shoulders as well as here and there across the rest of her face. Her hair is voluminous and curly, deep brown with highlights of caramel tones throughout. Usually she tries to keep it back in a bun or ponytail to keep it out of her face, though now and then pieces fall out to frame around her face. Her eyes area a hazel tone and usually she wears a light layer of mascara on her lashes. She usually wears neutral and earth tones for clothes but normally wears a pair of light washed jeans, cream colored high tops and a light green sweater than is open around her shoulders. Lulu will wear a cream bandana around her neck too that she'll sometimes use to tie her hair back or wrap around her head to keep strands out of her face during a battle. She is a bright individual, though a bit short-tempered at times. Lulu is smart and once she puts her mind to something she's dead set to get it done. Impatient if she gets held up doing "unnecessary tasks" sometimes Lulu can come off a bit brash or rude and sometimes it requires a small reminder by a friend to reel her in and calm her down. She really means the best though and once you get past those traits she a fun and loyal individual, ready to succeed and push her and her friends to be their best. She's just a fiery spirit who hasn't quite learned to tone down the intensity yet.

Usually Deerling is at her side outside of its pokeball. It helps with keeping here in check if she ever gets impatient and will sometimes give her a little kick to the shins to remind her to check herself. Colt / 18 / Male Colt stands a solid 6' even with a lean, athletic-type of build. He has paler skin, though it has slowly been getting tanner over his time travelling and training, which he's happier about. Colt has chocolate brown hair that is curly and usually tousled messily. He doesn't often know what to do with it, so it's usually just a run of his fingers through and calling it good. His eyes area a gray-blue color, nothing too special, though turn more blue when caught in the light. He usually sticks to more athletic clothing, often seen in jogger-type sweats and tennis shoes. Depending on the weather he'll alternate between sweatshirts or a jacket and a simple t-shirt. To help with his hair situation he'll wear an older baseball cap with a great-ball pattern, often turned backwards. He's never seen without his phanny pack though, worn cross body. It's a simple white and black phanny pack and usually stores various snacks inside. Colt is a laid-back individual who often needs people to come up to him before starting a conversation. A bit more of an introvert, he prefers to stick to himself and his pokemon. That's not to say he's not open to friends or conversation though, he's just a bit awkward and not the best at starting those things. He's a goofy individual who enjoys a good laugh and often jokes around with his pokemon and the wild ones (that aren't attacking) as well. When in battle Colt maintains this more quiet mood, he's not a boisterous fighter and one might not even hear his commands to his pokemon. Pokemon ♂ Nidorino / lvl 20

Open to having a rival! Trainer @ Silverwaters // 𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓿 Usually Colt hangs out with his Amaura since she has a very gentle and chill nature as well, they often share snacks together and travel together.
Favorite pokemon: definitely Noivern and Haxorus

(I'll post an intro and jump in with my charas too just so we can keep going and I don't interrupt anything!)
Lulu stood among the crowd of fellow trainers ready to be initiated into the Round Table and begin their journeys. She let out a soft sigh and looked down do Deerling who was attentive to the introductions and announcements. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she rolled her eyes before looking back up to the Gym Leaders. Her eyes moved over each of them, taking in her possibilities for fighting and the tactics she may be able to take when combating them. Once again Lulu's lack of patience was getting the best of her. She started to fidget a bit, shifting back and forth and messing with the bandanna around her neck. Deerling gave a small kick to her shin to bring Lulu back to focus, it worked and Lulu laughed gently, "Alright, alright" a gentle pat landing on Deerling's head.
Colt was a bit late, his lax attitude having caught him in line for some food before going into the ceremony. He was carefully reaching into his phanny pack and munching on some chips while his eyes sat on the Gym Leaders. Amaura was looking around slowly, taking in the sights and the crowd around them before looking up to Colt and giving a gentle coo. He smiled down to his partner and dropped a hand down, handing her a chip. She munched happily before looking back ahead, though all she could see was the backs of other trainers. Colt laughed softly and turned his gaze back forward, looking over those ahead of him as the ceremony continued on.
Kita had been a bit late, though had made it with enough time to settle herself with the rest of the leaders. She stood a couple leaders down from Faro and Lena, giving each a happy wave of greeting. Deino sitting on her shoulder, looking around nervously. She gave a light pat on his head before looking ahead. A light laugh escaped her lips at each pun given for the leaders and she pondered what hers might end up being. "Crunched by the dragon's jaws" "Scale the heights to defeat her" "Roar your way to victory"? Another giggle and Kita smiled towards all the trainers. She couldn't wait to see how these trainers fared and how far they could advance. Those were some of her favorite things, watching these kids grow and expand their power and abilities as trainers.
