A few hours later, Phoenix had left the infirmary after getting her arm wrapped up and moved on to the training arena, wanting to blow off some steam. She was still frustrated with the trick Levin had pulled on her, and was currently taking that frustration out on a couple wooden dummies.
Echo paused and looked back when Mathias called out to her. She gave him a light nod before responding, “Yeah, I’ll think about it. I should be done with my cabin inspection by then.” She said, “I’ll see you later. Try not to overwork yourself.” Echo added, moving on with her walk.

Lyra walked at Levin’s side, the two of them seemingly already getting along. Seeing as Levin was claiming to be a child of Iris, that would make them half-siblings after all. Deep down, they both knew eachother in different ways. Nathanial’s plan required them to work together after all. Lyra pretended to give the boy a tour around the camp, stopping purposefully in front of the training area. Good. Phoenix was here.
“Woah!” Levin exclaimed loudly enough to announce his presence.
Mathias grinned lightly, before he clapped his hands against eachother to shake off the tree bark. It was about time he stopped anyway and went back to get his stuff anyway. Sometimes it was great to have time alone, though he hoped Echo would show up.

Phoenix looked up at the sound of other voices before turning back to her training with a roll of her eyes. Great, just what she needed, the new kid just had to come by while she was here. Phoenix swung her sword and separated the dummy’s head from its body, finishing the rest of her training exercise. She had hoped to avoid this guy for a while, something about him felt off and she didn’t quite trust him either.
Echo finished the rest of her walk and moved on to finish whatever else she had planned for the rest of the day, considering Mathias’ offer to join him at the beach. She always seemed to be busy with her Cabin Counselor duties, so it would be nice to relax for once. It was almost time for dinner, so she headed back towards Cabin 10 to start rounding her siblings up so she could lead them the Dining Pavilion once the conch horn is blown.

Who knew Iris had another kid hiding around? New sibling for me!” She teased, looking at Levin with a knowing look. “Wow. You really can do it all!” Levin whistled, pretending to be impressed by Phoenix’s sword skills. “Do I get a sword?” He asked. Mathias sat languidly in the dining hall, watching Rosaline and Valen discuss something about skulls and handbags, though his eyes flickered towards the doors. He was already wearing his swimming shorts and a sleeveless undershirt, preferring to just go to the lake right after eating. He could already hear Evelyn rushing around to help the camp cooks, too selfless for her own good sometimes. |

I'm not sure exactly what is out there right now, but I've always wanted to work in the parks so when I did my college program, they put me in kitchen which had no interaction with guests. It was terrible and the only thing that kept me going was my friends. Now I may be cleaning and emptying trash cans, but I can get more positive interaction than any other role. Who wants to yell at someone for cleaning something up? But definitely look into the types of internships they have because you never know what you will end up finding!)

It could be any one of them, and they could strike at anytime too. Echo sighed, giving a shake of her head and tried to turn her thoughts to something else. |

James slowly walked out of the Nemesis cabin, using his walking stick to feel his way around. Stopping for a moment he thought about where he wanted to go he ultimately deciding he would head to the training area to get some more training with his spear. Once there he felt around for a second while asking aloud," Hey does anyone here want to help me train?"
Pirithous was sitting in the mess tent, occasionally taking a swig from his flask. He was really bored and wanted something to give him something to do. While sitting at his fathers table he watched the other campers to see who might be able to help him with his plight.

"Ah... lots of people there?" Levin asked, feigning a sudden shyness, even though he allowed something akin to anticipation fill his eyes. He glanced at Phoenix, eyeing her sword with a hint of awe, before he chuckled. "Well, I guess that means a big introduction then." Mathias looked up from his place amongst the other Ares campers, eyes flicking right to Echo as soon as she sat down. He tapped his fingers idly against the wood, food ignored momentarily as he observed her. She seemed distracted, thinking too much about something. Maybe, if she did end up showing up when he went to the lake in a few minutes, she'd have answers about it. |

Nathanial sat at the Ares table and had noticed Mathias’ gaze turn to Echo right away and gave a light smirk. It was quite obvious that his half brother was smitten by the daughter of Aphrodite, even though he liked to act like he wasn’t. Nathanial nudged Mathias, “You know, you could always ask her out officially instead of beating around the bush or staring at her.” He suggested.

Levin idly wondered if these campers knew just who they were harboring, and if they’d be ready once they brought Phoenix to their side. Levin followed along, looking as excited and aloof as he could. Mathias was drawn from his thoughts by the sound of Nathanial’s voice, turning to look at his half-brother with a small scoff. “Asking her out? Like what, a 16 year old going to a Homecoming dance? Please.” He inwardly felt a flicker of a fluster in his gut, knowing that Nathanial could easily see his interest in Echo. He picked idly at his food. “I’ve never been a dating type anyway, though if she’s interested, I already told her she could join me at the lake tonight.” Mathias shrugged, though his casual air had a hint of anticipation to it. He looked at his brother, now smirking ever so slightly. “And you, thinking of being all romantic with someone? If Lloyd didn’t look at everyone with those pretty eyes of his, I’d think he likes looking your way sometimes. Or are you more of the challenge type? Sasha, maybe Erin?” He mused. |

Lyra was an okay girl, but Phoenix hadn’t really hung out with her much before, and she wasn’t keen in talking with Levin either. She gave them a wave as she joined her siblings.
Nathanial chuckled and rested his chin on his fist, “You sure that’s even the type if relationship she’s looking for? She is a daughter of Aphrodite after all. But then again, Echo has always been a bit of a mystery even to some of her siblings.” He said, glancing over at the Aphrodite table. As he did, he also noticed Lyra and Levin come in with Phoenix. A grin grew on his face at the sight, Phoenix could play an important piece in his plan if she’s as strong as he thinks she is.
Nathanial looked over at Mathias when he poked fun at Nathanial’s own love life, “Ah, no one here has really caught my attention.” He said with a slight shrug. “I don’t think there’s anyone here who actually will.”

I swear, you’ve been this way since the day I came to this camp all those years ago.” For a moment, he seemed to remember something, a sense of ease filling him. After all, it had been Nathanial who he had met and trusted first of anyone in the camp. He shook the thought away and continued. “It’s the mystery that adds to the charm. Not that a daughter of Aphrodite needs it. Especially her.” He looked at Echo once more, missing Nathanial’s glance towards Phoenix, Lyra and Levin. |
