โWhat is going on with me?โ Phoenix muttered, still staring down at her hand. This powerโฆ it felt different from her other abilities. It didnโt feel like something a child of Hephaestus would even have. She was distracted and lost her focus on the monster, a rookie mistake. Levin allowed the Monster to rise to his paws, before it streaked away deeper into the forest and faded deep into the undergrowth. Now he was assured that she had an ability that was not from her father. Nathan had been right. Phoenix was harboring some intense power that belonged on their side of the fight. He readied himself for his acting again, slowly pulling himself out from behind a boulder and whimpering quietly. "I-is it gone?!" He begged. Phoenix quickly turned her attention away from her hand and raised her her sword at Levin. There was something off about him, there was no way he was just a regular mortal, โWho the hell are you?โ She said, green eyes glaring at him. |

Start a post for me blazer!) Sasha slipped out of her cabin, inwardly snickering at the thought of Drake one day finding out about her escapades with other campers. Mathias was pretty good at slipping out after the deed was done, though she knew Drake was certainly more shy than she was when it came to having specific kinds of guests in their Cabin. Her eyes quickly searched for Erin on instinct, hoping to get into another spat with her. She liked seeing her annoyed. Kyo muttered out a small noise of complaint as he left the Hephaestus Cabin, the air outside still colder than he liked. Spring was coming to slowly, and the cold was always a deterrent for him. He sighed, knowing it was his turn to go collect the training swords to fix up today. If only the training grounds were closer. He looked around rapidly, mousey as usual when walking past other campers. Evelyn and Rosaline were chatting airily in the Dining Hall, the two girls seeming to be intently entertained by their conversation. |

Drake was already up and about for the day. He ran his hand through his hair, pushing a few strands from his face as he made his way towards the dining hall. He wasnโt very hungry but figured he needed to eat something. He stepped in and noticed Evelyn and Rosaline.
Erin was heading down from the cabins towards the lake. She wanted to take it easy this morning, just going for a walk. She yawned as she walked, still not quite awake yet.

Drake was already up and about for the day. He ran his hand through his hair, pushing a few strands from his face as he made his way towards the dining hall. He wasnโt very hungry but figured he needed to eat something. He stepped in and noticed Evelyn and Rosaline. Erin was heading down from the cabins towards the lake. She wanted to take it easy this morning, just going for a walk. She yawned as she walked, still not quite awake yet. "There's the star of the-" Rosaline's loud exclamation was cut off as Evelyn frantically covered her mouth with a hand, the freckled girl looking at Drake with wide eyes as she stammered. "A-ah! Haha! Rosaline! We have company. Hi Drake! Hello, I mean- Sorry for the volume, just. Girl talk." Rosaline simply removed Evelyn's hand from her mouth and crossed her leg elegantly over her knee, not a thread of her clothes or strand of her hair out of place as she smiled primly. "She's happy to see you. Real happy." Sasha immediately made a bee-line for Erin the second she spotted the girl heading down towards the lake. Stepping casually and craftily, she called out with a smooth roll of her tongue. "Going skinny dipping or something without me? Erin, I'm offended." |

Shard listened to her ramble on about the birds, nodding slightly as he listened. โThatโs super cool! I wish I was good at building stuff like that.โ He sighed lightly. โThen I could offer you some advice.โ He smiled. Jacob smirked a little as the others agreed to his plan. โAwesome! And I figured weโd drag Connor along as well.โ He spoke. Roxana looked up at Shard before looking away quickly as she felt her face heating up again, โTh-thatโs okay, I-Iโll figure it out eventually.โ She said, finishing some of the wiring for the bird. She flipped a small switch on its side and gave a light smile as itโs metal wings started flapping slowly and rose in the air. โWell, we do need someone to keep us in line.โ Echo said with a small smirk. She turned and started walking out of the training area, โI bet weโll find Connor near the woods.โ She suggested. (They could bump into Hunter and Nakita and invite them out. Then we could get the plot started.) |

Evelyn quickly assured, patting one of the chairs near them with a sort of franticness. "Oh! Rude of me, you can sit down if you like. We'd be happy to talk to you." "Oop! Might have to scratch that for me." Roasline said suddenly, perking up as she gave Drake and Evelyn a dazzling smile. "I promised Lloyd I would watch over him while he gardened so that, and I quote, "my luck could make sure he pulled out huge carrots". Have to do my generous civil duty, but please! Take my seat, Drake darling, Evelyn is a doll to talk with." She quickly stood and winked at Evelyn, who's face was suddenly ashen with embarrassment. "So you can get a good look at my assets." Sasha responded as though it was obvious, sauntering past Erin and turning to walk backwards with a cool confidence. "And of course so we can enjoy nature at its fullest. Sing Kumbaya, all that lovely stuff. Maybe I'm bored." The red marks on her neck from her previous engagement earlier peeked from the collar of her shirt, though she seemed uncaring if anyone noticed. |

Drake just stood there awkwardly. โOh um if youโre sure.โ He spoke, moving to take the see Rosaline vacated. He looked at Evelyn. โI didnโt mean to run her off or ruin your girl time.โ He told her. โIโm sorry if I did.โ
Erin watched her move ahead, cheeks getting red at her teasing. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked her over, noticing the red marks. โI donโt think you need me looking at your assets as someone else already is.โ She rolled her eyes. โBesides I didnโt think you liked me so why would we hang out.โ

Roxana gave him a shrug, โIโm not better than everyone else in the Hephaestus cabin.โ She said, setting the bird aside, โBesides, you donโt have to have powers to be special.โ
Echo laughed, shaking her head at Jacob and finally spotted their friend, โConnor!โ She called to the son of Demeter, giving him a wave. Connor looked up the book he was reading at his name, giving a small wave in return.
โWhat kind of trouble are we getting into today then?โ Connor asked, already knowing from the looks on their faces that his friends were up to no good again.

Josie had dozed off on the floor of a canoe, floating near the edge of the lake. She had ventured out on her own to be away from the flow of the camp, things were tense and she wasn't sure when it would get better. So, after a pretty rigorous solo training session this morning, the daughter of Zeus decided to take a canoe out earlier in the afternoon. She'd stopped by the strawberry field before and had smuggled a pretty big handfuls worth of strawberries, which were currently laid on a bandana under one of the canoe seats that had her shorts and camp shirt neatly folded on top of. A book laid on her face, indicating that she'd been reading before being lulled to sleep by the warm sun beams. One of her hands laid on her bare midriff while her other arm was bent on top of her head, her hair and olive green bikini still slightly damp.

Juniper stands in front of the pen that holds her favorite pegasus, feeding him a couple of bright orange carrots at a time, smiling as she watches the magnificent beast chomping down on the vegetable, green leaves on all. It's one of those small, rare moments where the young woman looks soft and content, her icy demeanor melting away when she's alone, and especially around the pegasi and horses. "You want another one, mon chรฉri d'amour? Alright, but don't tell the others how much I spoil you." She chuckles under her breath, flicking her long ponytail over her shoulder as she feeds the pegasus one more carrot.

Claude sits outside of the Hermes' cabin, lounging on the front steps and leaning over the porch. He looks to be writing a letter, who the recipient could be is a total mystery. He didn't have anyone or a home to write back to, but here he was, hunched over with a concentrated look on his face. He pauses for a moment, chews on the inside of his cheek as he looks around, tapping the end of his pen on the ground as he thinks. After a moment he lets out a long, slow exhale, folds up the paper and sticks it into his back pocket. The blonde then stretches out, holding his arms high above his head and feels his lower back pop from being in a twisted position for so long.

Jimmy grunts as his back hits the ground, cursing sharply under his breath. His eyes stay shut before opening them and frowning up at the climbing wall before him. He'd been trying to beat his climb time, wanting to shave off more than a minute or two and his strategy didn't exactly work out right, obviously. One wrong handhold and it was over for the young teen. When the ache finally eases away, the son of Athena slowly sits up and brings his knees towards his chest while he leans back on his hands. He sits there, contemplating and running through new pathways in his head, lost in thought.

Similar to most demigods, Blaze's mind was constantly moving, hardly ever settling for too long. From the hardest of tasks like building new celestial bronze gear to the current task at hand. Unfortunately that included simple tasks like trying to figure out what he wanted to eat for his afternoon meal. I burn a lot of calories in that forge... hehehe get it burn and I'm a son of Hephaestus, he snickered to himself. Wow, I am lame for that joke. Blaze let loose a long sigh before running his fingers through his hair as he sat on his bed in his cabin. With one quick jolt, he was up on his feet and walking out of cabin nine. As he walked he could see in the distance someone attempting the climbing wall, yet he watched them take a tumble. Blaze cringed in pain as let out an observant "ooohhh". That's gonna hurt later. A quick glance down at his hands then back to the wall, he shook his head and decided it was not worth the time today. Guess the Canoe Lake was the choice and it seemed like someone else had the same idea. As he approached the lake, a canoe floating near the edge of the lake. Blaze snorted, but decided to not bother whomever was laying in the canoe... at least for now. His biggest worry now was trying to ignore the water naiads playful nature.

If only I could control these powers, I wouldn't have to worry about hurting anyone. Shadow rest against one of the tree trucks on the edge of the forest, watching over the camp arena and armory. For what, he had no clue but just a sneaky suspicion was something happening the camp was unaware of. He had been sitting their most of the day, but his arm barely lifted from its position as the stiffness had taken over. Slowly he started mumbling an older Journey song, a way to keep the time passing.

His attention span was not what it used to be after the whole seeping into the darkness incident in front of a few people at the Arena. If only he had been able to control the power, maybe he wouldn't look so weak or insane for the voices constantly pestering his mind. Thankfully, he had learned to silence them with threats of sending himself to his father in the Underworld. He wasn't exactly sure, but he had a feeling they didn't particularly like the the god down under.

A loud snore is what finally wakes Josie, nearly startling herself as she sits up with incredible speed. In her just woken up state, she tries to catch the book that had been resting on her face and was now flung off. Her hands fumble around, and all of her staggering movements causes the canoe to rock back and forth, causing ripples in the water. After a couple of bounces, she manages to catch the book right before it falls into the water. "Hah! ...Huh?" Josie notices the tipping canoe before it's too late and lets out a high-pitched screech right before she falls into the water, the canoe flipping over in the process. In a pretty impressive feat she manages to keep her hand up above the water, book sticking straight in the air and pretty undamaged except for a couple droplets of water from the splash her body made. Her head breaks through the surface and she grumbles under her breath, her camp clothes starting to float further away as she kicks herself over to the upturned canoe. Well, at least no one was around to see her, right? Just as the thought crosses her mind, Josie looks up and her clear blue eyes meet the chocolate brown of Blaze's gaze. Her whole face reddens in embarrassment. "Uh, hey, Blaze!" She gives a very sheepish grin, resting her arms on top of the bottom of the canoe. "Could, um, can I get a hand with this?" Oh gods she could just die right here and now. |

His eyes focused on the naiads sitting in front of him, Blaze tried to keep them at a distance in fear his pyrokinesis would suddenly spark up and evaporate one of them. "Girls, I promise you don't want to flirt with me," Blaze said rubbing the back of his neck. Slowly small waves started to move along the lake edge and Blaze turned his head to find the source only to see Josie completely topple out of the lone canoe and into the water. Her camp clothes, now soaking wet, floating toward him. His gaze went straight to her eyes and he tried to hide a smirk. "Yeah, don't worry. Wouldn't be the first time," he chuckled. "Nor do I think it will be the last." Without hesitation, he pulled off his camp shirt and tossed his shoes off onto land before wading into the lake. Thankfully, the canoe wasn't so far out and he reached Josie within a few seconds. "Are you good?" he asked with a slight smile. He wrapped his arm around the underside of the canoe and slowly, but surely flipped the canoe back over.

The moment his shirt comes off, Josie can't help but let her gaze flicker to briefly admire his torso. Who could blame her? Years of working in the forge seemed to be going rather well for the son of Hephaestus. She turns her head away before she can be caught staring by him. Josie moves away from the canoe as he starts to flip it over, and even though she was taller than some, she found herself in the deeper part of the lake, her toes just barely scraping the floor if she tried to stand, so she continues to tread water with just one hand. "Yeah, yeah. I'm good." She's determined not to get her book wet, so she opens it up in half and plops it on the top of her head. With expert balance, it stays fairly still. As Blaze flipped the canoe, Josie at least tries to aid him by reaching up to grab the edge of it to bring it back down, trying to create as minimal wave movement as possible. Once it was right side up, she grunts softly as she starts to push it back to shore. "Thanks, Blaze, don't know what I would do without you." Josie chuckles, cheeks still warm and red, clearly the embarrassment hasn't gone away. "What brings you out here, anyways?"

Despite everyone's warning of Zeus' offspring being intimidating and serious, Blaze always found Josie to be quite the opposite. She was playful, fun and silly and almost always smiling. Of course, she still could attract all the attention in a room, though maybe the was because of her ability to control electricity. The moment Josie put her book on her head was the moment Blaze couldn't hide his laughter any longer. As he pushed the canoe toward shore, Blaze reached out with his free hand grabbing what of Josie's clothes he could reach. "No problem" he breathed, a small blush on his face, realization setting in that she was only in a bikini. "Uhh, just coming down to get away from the heat of the forge. Plus I, uhh, was tired of not doing anything for myself." His gaze changed further than the shore as he looked in the direction of the forge where he spent a majority of his time.

Josie credits her leadership skills to her father, but her bubbly and care-free attitude was all from her mother's influence. A woman that she misses dearly and only hears from through letters and gifts, one being the book that she had been so desperate to save from falling into the waters. His laugh gets her to blush even more, but doesn't stop her from chuckling along, assuming her antics were pretty silly. She watches as he rounds up her clothes, appreciative that he would grab them for her, glancing up to him and eyeing the red blooming on his cheeks. "I totally get how that feels. It's good to make time for yourself, hang out with friends, all that jazz." Josie offers a gentle smile, moving to pluck the book off her head once they've finally got the canoe back to shore. "How've you been anyways? I feel like we hardly see each other, especially with all the uh, well with whatever's going on at camp." She notices his lingering gaze past the shore and reaches up to place a still wet hand on his arm, just above his elbow.

Blaze's background was completely opposite of Josie's from what he heard. He knew that she and her mother were connected almost all the time through their letters and gifts. Sadly, he had no connection like that with his mother for she was killed by a hellhound. The grief had been something he buried a long time ago, but it surfaced time and time again. "What else can I do? Like you, I don't leave, so doing a routine is all I know." His voiced trailed off as the attack played out in front of him again. The hand that touched his arm brought him back to the moment as he turned back to smile at Josie. "Okay, tired, but okay. And you? I see you are trying to relax, emphasis on trying," Blaze commented with a laugh. He casually leaned back against the shore, sitting there with his arms resting on his knees.

If she tried to remember back, Josie could recall the grief stricken look on a younger Blaze as he came to camp for the first time. It wasn't unlike a lot of campers she'd seen in her 7 years of living here, but her heart went out to him anyways. Josie was one of the lucky few who still had a parent that was alive, loved her, and continued to reach out. A slight frown tugs at the corners of her lips as she gives a knowing nod of agreement at what he says. Part of her knows that it's safer for her here, but she couldn't help but yearn for a life outside of camp. As Blaze sits down, Josie follows and settles close beside him, pinching his arm as he teases her before withdrawing her hand. "Tired, with training, with being here, with not knowing what's going on." She sighs, letting herself sound as tired as she felt for the first time in front of someone else. "Guess something in the universe just doesn't want me to relax." Josie chuckles, leaning over to let her head rest on his shoulder, her wet hair dripping down his back.
