Redflash gave a quizzical look to Maplechirp before giving a small nod to the tom beside her. "Mangoliaclan suffers the same fate as your own, our leader, Stagstar. has taken up to switching the code on us." He seemed to be a bit uncomfortable, switching his weight from one paw to another every few moments. The young she-cat knew exactly why he was like this, he had been just like Bramblenose in deciding to turn against the normal and join her. His final straw had been when Stagstar chose to apprentice a cat too early, the cat was fine of course but it still left an uneasy feeling in both of them. How long until Branchstar joins his views? Will that be the final straw for Bramblenose or something else? Maplechirp moved between the two, giving a nudge to Redflash to walk with her. She waved her tail to Bramblenose, wanting him to stay put as she had a bit of an one on one with the tom.
"I need your help, Bramblenose is the kit of Branchstar as we both know. His joining will be welcomed I'm sure but I don't doubt there will be wary eyes on him. You need to convince the others with me that this is a place of open hearts and minds, we need to make sure the others know he is on her side." Redflash listened to her intently before sparing another look at the brown tabby tom, obviously still not on board.
"He was born from a greedy she-cat, I trust your own judgement Maplechirp but I don't see how you expect me to convince everyone. We all see the difference in how him and his siblings are treated, even those from Mangoliaclan can see the favoritism. It's a bit weird for one of her kits to be so sure of disobedience." The older tom still seemed uncomfortable, his fur beginning to bristle again. Maplechirp reached up and gave him a soft lick on the head in comfort, she wouldn't let the cats fall apart.
"Return to your group, I'll handle him from here." The two parted ways and Maplechirp gave an uneasy purr to Bramblenose as they met once more. "Do you have anymore questions before I take over and begin the ending of our meeting?" She asked, she wanted to answer all of his questions but the longer they stayed out the longer they risked more finding out.

(Sounds good to me! Both of his siblings can be roleplayed by either of us, btw!)
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Large Roots for a Clan Meeting," Branchstars voice broke the relative silence of the early morning that Bramblestar had been enjoying. He was still in his own nest, it wasn't late enough to get it just yet, and feigned sleep just to enjoy to peace and quiet for a little while longer before he had to get up and see if he'd been assigned a patrol just yet.
But, of course not, the one day he was able to stir just early enough to enjoy some peace and quiet his mother called a clan meeting.
For what, he wasn't sure, and at first he was worried that Maplechirp had been caught and this would be a trial but... Branchstar looked rather pleased. The large dark brown she cat looked absolutely pleased and that meant that she hadn't figured out that there was a group of cats planning to overthrow the entire clan. Well... at least that was fine. While he wasn't fully behind combining the clans, especially because old hatred ran deep and he didn't think that every cat would suddenly be alright with sharing tongues when it came to rival clans, he didn't think that the cats who rebelled deserved to get into trouble, either.
Not yet at least.
"Today, I have some exciting news. We have three kits who have proven that they are ready to become apprentices today," There were some confused muttering throughout the clan- there weren't any kits old enough to become apprentices yet, the eldest in the Nursery were Robinsongs kits, but they were barely five moons old, not the required six moons.
"Now, they might be a little young, but I've been watching them, and I think that that they are beyond ready to take on these responsibilities. They're more than capable of becoming apprentices early," Shocked silence met her ears for a moment as she turned her attention towards Robinsong- this wasn't something that Branchstar had talked to her about either, either. "Robinsong, I've made sure to keep this clan safe before, and I feel as if your kits are ready to become warriors. Do you trust me?" Her eyes wandered over to her three kits, waiting to see what their reactions were, too.

Maplechirp was making her way to the nursery herself when the clean leader called a meeting. Her heart skipped a beat and she spared a glance to Bramblenose, she had been promised a moon. Was he taking it back now? Calming her nerves, she walked to the edge of the gathering cats. Robinsong was quick to join her, the kits following suit. Their fur looked neatly groomed and they appeared to be nervous, shaking in their pelts. The orange and white molly narrowed her eyes, looking from her sister to the leader. This isn't about me, this is about...no,it can't be true! Maplechirp opened her mouth to speak but Robinsong gave her a look to keep her mouth shut, eyes full of sadness as the leader began to speak.
The unease in her stomach kept rising as the leader named her sister after mentioning apprenticing cats, this couldn't be happening. Surely Branchstar was smarter than Stagstar? Robinsong stood up, grace in her movements as she caught the leader's eyes. "I trust your judgement, Branchstar. My kits are ready to become apprentices." Her voice was strong but Maplechirp could note the shaking beneath her pelt, she was scared. I can't do anything, I can't...help. Her heart sank deep in her chest as she watched this unfold. She wasn't in time to protect the kits, they were going to be going into wars as soon as the name 'paw hit the end of their names. They were five moons, yes, but in the moment they looked so much younger to her. Breezepaw was quick on his feet, fur fluffed up to make him appear bigger. Robinsong quickly brought him back down, sitting herself.
Maplechirp wanted to speak, tell her sister to run away with the kits until things were better but there was nothing she could do. I'm helpless in this, I...there's nothing more I can do. I just have to push for them, push for the cats to work harder for our goals. We have to move the date up, after this moon we can't wait any longer.
{When do you want Bramblenose to meet the cats wanting to kill Maplechirp btw? I'm thinking this group could be from her failed attempts to convince cats. Maybe runs into them on his way to meeting when it happens again?}

(ooh maybe! That would be a good idea!)
Dread, dark and cold dread, started to pool it's way in his stomach as Robinsong agreed, that she trusted her leaders judgement, and part of him wanted to leap up just like Breezepaw did and snarl out his own protest. But he didn't- he couldn't- not while he was under his mothers scrutinizing eye. So instead he was sitting next to his two littermates like he often did during the Clan Meetings, eyes flashing over to Maplechirp for only a moment, before focusing back onto his mother as she saw the approval fill her features at the agreement.
"Very well, Applekit, come forward." She waited for the kit to stumble forward, and in that moment they just looked so tiny and he couldn't believe that Branchstar thought that following Stagstars lead was a good idea. " From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Applepaw. Your mentor will be Petalbloom. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you," His sister, who had been sitting to the left of him, puffed out her white and brown chest just a little bit before padding proudly over to the tiny kit, leaning down so they could touch noses infront of the entire clan.
"Mottlekit, come forward." It was the little tortoiseshells turn, but Bramblenose already knew who her mentor would be: his brother, Pineclaw. His stomach dropped at that, because not only did it mean that he would mentor one of these kits, but Pineclaw was too. A tom who had already shown his temper to be too much at times and wasn't patient enough to lead a patrol, what was going to happen to a kit? "From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mottlepaw. Your mentor will be Pineclaw. I hope Pineclaw will pass down all he knows on to you," His brother, dark furred and looking similar to Bramblenose himself, almost looked bored as he stood slowly, padding over to Mottlepaw and leaned down.
"Driftkit, come forward." The last kit, a tiny little thing with black fur and wide eyes, was the last to come forward and of course he was going to be the mentor. He and his siblings had to be prepared, after all, and Bramblenose needed an apprentice to become a deputy. It had all but been promised to him the moment that he'd received his own warriors name, that they just had to wait a little while longer for the kits to be old enough.
But they weren't and he was barely paying attention to the words, trying to find a way to make this little kit safe while he trained him, fully aware that he was the largest out of all of his siblings, bulky and fluffy and that he was dwarfing the little one he was supposed to mentor. He leaned down, crouching would look odd since his two siblings hand't done so, touching noses with them as Branchstar ended the meeting swiftly so the apprentices would be welcomed into their new position.
This wasn't fair- this wasn't right. Driftpaw and his siblings deserved to be kits for just a while longer, and his stomach felt sick as he looked down at them. "Congratualtions, Driftpaw. Why don't we go and see your mother?" He looked over to see Petalbloom showing off her apprentice already, and Pineclaw looking almost annoyed as he pushed Mottlepaw towards the apprentices den with a curt "Meet me for the next patrol. Go find a nest." and he tilted his head to one side. "Why don't you go get your sister first, actually, then go see her?"
He could already feel the tension in the clan, because the kits were too early and given to three massively inexperienced warriors. He could see the horror in Pebblepaws eyes, but she had stuck with her mentor the entire ceremony and said nothing, and he didn't like the sick feeling he had in his stomach because apprentices were supposed to be a good thing.
(Also feel free to change anything in the ceremony! I kinda just made it basic but we can stop if any of the kits were too nervous/anything like that. Like we can break it apart per kit!)

Applekit had been the strongest out of the three, not physically but emotionally. When their own father had passed, she had been the one to stand tall and comfort her littermates when Robinsong failed. She took this greatly in Maplechirp's eyes, meeting her mentor with proud strides. She couldn't show her own worries when her siblings were watching, it hurt her heart to watch the small kit reach up and touch noses with the she-cat. Maplechirp knew very well about Bramblenose's own littermates. It brought even more concern to her but she couldn't say much besides standing by and watching. Mottlekit was next, practically stumbling over her own paws as she met Pineclaw. This wasn't a good pair, even if she was old enough. Any cat with half a brain and a sense of morals could see this, he would push her too far she was sure. One kit was remaining at their side, Driftkit. There was only one littermate left in Branchstar's litter too. Maplechirp shot a dirty look Bramblenose's way, did he know this was going to happen and kept it to himself or was he blind to the fact too? She hoped he would tell her, warn her, about something like this but he was already doing so much by giving her time. All three had been given their names and there was nothing left to do but cheer them aloud. Some cats did but Robinsong didn't stay for this, instead she pushed through the crowd and made her way to the nursery. Her sister trailed after her, fur bristling. Just as the two reached the entrance to the den, Robinsong quickly spun around fury in her eyes.
"You promised me, Maplechirp!" She hissed with a whisper, pushing her muzzle into the warrior's face. Maplechirp took a step back, tail falling down as she refused to meet the eyes of her furious littermate. It wasn't easy, but she had failed her. She was trying as hard as she could but it wasn't good enough it seemed. "You told me to my face, the day the kits were born you were going to work towards bringing them a better future. Does this look like a better future to you? You were the one who brought the news of their father, Shadowswirl, told us this wouldn't happen again. They're going to be in danger constantly now!" Maplechirp tried to find the words, she always had the right words but now they were failing her. She felt like a kit once more, being scolded by their mother for messing up badly.
"I'm trying, I'm trying." She pleaded, finally looking back, desperate for her sister to understand. "It's not as easy as you think, we've run into problems of our own. Bramblenose found out a half moon ago, we only have a moon to convince him not to tell Branchstar. You have to understand, please." She tried to not let her voice rise above the whisper it was in but she felt like wailing. She never felt this way before, it was like she was pinned against a wall by a rock. There was nowhere to turn for her.
"Bramblenose? Why didn't you just fix the problem, Maplechirp? You talk so much of these hopes and dreams for us, the clans but you let yourself be pushed around like this?" She seemed to hesistate over her next words, shifting to look at Bramblenose then back to Maplechirp. "You have the rest of this half moon to fix this, Maplechirp. But if you wan't I'm sorry, I can't forgive you for giving me a false hope." Her voice fell, the anger still there but sadness entering her now. Maplechirp nodded, smoothing her fur now.
"I can do that, Robinsong, just try me. I know I can."
"That another problem of yours, you think you can do everything Maplechirp. You are not invincible, why do you assume you can do everything? You are risking your own life for an if, not a when. How do you think you can do all of this? I know you have your cats, you've told me countless times how many are joining you but you are the leader of them. One misstep by you and this all falls apart. You need to get your head out of the clouds and realize that you are risking more than just your own life. There's cats depending on you. You can't just sit on your tail and pretend you are the only risking things. Stop acting like it." She turned at that, leaving her alone. Maplechirp surpressed the feeling of dread, instead she rushed over to Shredleaf to tell him about her plan for an emergency meeting tonight, she would have to find a Mangoliaclan warrior tonight.
During all of this, Driftpaw was with Bramblenose. He watched his mother leave abruptly before giving a small nod. "I can do that but you can do me a favor...can you check on Maplechirp or Robinsong..?" His voice trembled, his mother meant a lot to him and it looked like she was getting into it with his 'second' mother as he called her. He knew his sisters needed him right now though, he couldn't just leave them alone. He hoped his mentor would help but there was uncertainty in his voice. He knew that Bramblenose was the clan leader's kit, everyone did. He just hoped he was better than how he saw his siblings act.
{I am writing on autopilot btw so forgive mistakes lol and sorry, I got really into the sisterly dynamic there and thought it may help push Maplechirp to get her rebellion into action }

(You are all good! I like it!)
Great Starclan the guilt was eating him up, even if he'd already decided that he'd do whatever was in his power to protect these three kits from harms way, because forcing such little ones into a dangerous situation was unforgivable. It was a reason why he'd detested Magnoliaclan, convinced himself that they were better because they waited, but apparently he was wrong and now there were three kits he'd have to look after. He wasn't so concerned for Applepaw, if only because Petalbloom would be using her as some kind of trophy and it'd be easy to make sure that she was being trained properly... it was Mottlepaw he was genuinely worried about and was actively trying to find a way to protect her. Maybe he'd be able to offer more training sessions with the both of them, he knew that Pineclaw would either push the kit too hard or ignore her completely once he realized that a kit that tiny couldn't keep up with a fully grown warrior.
He was surprised, though, at his apprentices request and his features softened considerably as he crouched his hulking frame down just so he'd be able to look at him eye level. "I will, don't you worry. I'll talk to the both of them before the sun sets today, okay? I'll go find your mother first. But what I need you to do is find a place to sleep in your new den. Pebblepaw would be happy to help you," Because he knew that she cat was already against this, that was for sure, and he wanted someone to look over the kits while he went to assure Robinsong at least one of her kits would be safe... and hopefully all three.
Branchstar, you've just made a massive mistake." He thought with a sigh as he got back up onto his paws, gently nudging Driftpaw towards his new den. "Once you've done that, meet me at the fresh kill pile. Maybe we can all go and explore Nettleclan territory for a bit, yeah?" He was a lot more soft spoken than most would expect him to be, considering the fact that he was the kit of a leader and already told he would be taking his mothers place one day. Most cats assumed he was just quiet because Branchstar wanted him to observe, not that he was quite soft spoken once they got him talking and he wasn't actually upset.
After that he set off to find Robinsong, following her sent and pausing at the nursery because how would he ever get Robinsong to believe that he had her kits best interests at heart? His chest twisted in anxiety because this was why he'd wanted to be a medicine cat instead. He wanted to help cats get better, to heal, not to train kits to fight. Starclan, Maplechirps idea was making more and more sense by the minute and that was bothering him more than anything else as he finally pushed his way into the warm, comforting den that was called the nursery.
"Robinsong?" He called out, not wanting to startle her and waiting just beyond the entrance, giving her some space.

Driftpaw was quick to leave, making his way over to the apprentice's den. He was somewhat happy with becoming an apprentice though he still felt nervous. All the other apprentices were so much bigger than him, given they were moons older. He hoped he was able to make friends with them and not be judged by his small size or age.
Robinsong was about to tear her nest out when she heard a voice calling to her from the entrance. She retracted her claws and stood up, making her way over slowly. She was surprised to see the tabby tom standing before her, the two had never really shared many interactions before but now she was hearing and seeing him constantly it felt. She knew why he was here, at least she thought she did. Her fight with Maplechirp wasn't exactly hidden, just the reasoning behind it was. She straightened her fur and gave him a bitter glare.
"You. What do you want? Come here to gloat in my face that my kits are to suffer a worse fate than my own mate? Or are you here to give me another story filled to the brim with excuses?" She felt the heat of anger reigniting in her body, shoving her muzzle into his face. She was a mother out on a war path now, her fury knowing no bounds and she was out to hurt those who hurt her. He may not have had a paw in the matter but he was now mentoring her kits and the whole reason her sister had given for the plan to fall apart for the time being. She wasn't pleased in the slightest, fur bristling now along her spine. She wanted to fight him, rake her claws across his mouse-brained face. He's not the only who was involved with this though, Maplechirp could have been more careful. She could have just ended him and went through with her plans.

Bramblenose couldn't help but flatten his ears at the fury, taking a paw step backwards, but reminding himself that he promised Driftpaw that he'd make sure that they were okay and that meant talking to a queen who was beyond furious and in pain right now, so he let her snarl at her, before shaking his head slowly at her questions. "No- not at all, Robinsong. I just- I wanted to apologize. This is not a practice that I support. Nor did I know that Branchstar was going to do this" He started slowly, his voice low and gentle, because there wasn't any other cat around here just yet. The other Queens were still outside, probably worried about their kits own futures, because five moons was earlier than Stagstars and this was some kind power trip that Branchstar was going on.
"And- well. I'll do my best to keep your kits safe, not just Driftpaw." He couldn't promise complete safety- but then again, neither could Robinsong because they couldn't guarantee that a Fox couldn't get in, or some Magnoliaclan attack. His stomach twisted a little before shaking his head a little. "I'll leave you alone- but you should know. Driftpaw's worried about you. And Maplechirp." And with that he slowly backed out of the den, because if there was anyone who could actually comfort her now it would be the other queens that shared the den with her.
(Sorry this one's a little short, I didn't know if you wanted more interaction between the two of them so I left it open!)

"You want to protect my kits? You take into account each paw step you make. You actually listen to what she has to say. She may have her head in the stars with her own plans but she's got her heart in the right place. She cares for this clan more than one would think, you want to know how I know this?" She brought her muzzle back to his, eyes blazing still as she bared her teeth. "If I was her, I would have killed you the second you found out about the meeting. To me, the protection of my kits is above the life of anyone else's but to her? She views the life of each individual cat as important. Even if this cat is the kit of a terror to the clan." She brought herself back, turning her head away to stare at the ground. She could still feel heat all over her body, she loved her sister dearly but her love for the clan was going to be her downfall at this point. She was too trusting, too naive for this. She felt useless suddenly as if she was standing on a thunderpath and monster was barreling towards her, no way to stop the disaster about to form before them. The only thing she could do now is protect her kits to the best of her ability.
"If one fur on my kit's body is out of place, I will make sure do what my sister is too nice to do. Do you understand this, Bramblenose? I don't think you do because you have no clue how deep a mother's love runs. Those kits are the last piece of my mate to remain and if I lost them..." Her voice broke, pain piercing through the anger and causing her to want to cry out. All of their lives were held in the paws of a cat she could never bring herself to trust. "If I lost them, I would be nothing. No queen should suffer the lost of her ktis." She finally turned away, wanting to rest before tearing away her nest.
{You're fine! I hope Robinsong's response is decent, sorry if it seems I'm trying to paint Maplechirp as a saint because she certainly isnt haha. ^^; Also if you want, we can have some Maplechirp and Bramblenose interaction before the meeting, I think she may have some choice words for him too xD }

He couldn't help but flatten his ears at the pure fury that was being thrown at him- it wasn't like he had done anything wrong and he was trying to do something right. Great Starclan what was wrong with She cats? Because every single one that he knew seemed either completely insane or hated him- no in between apparently and in their eyes he couldn't do anything right. He felt like a kit again, with Branchstar snarling at him when he tried to say that he wanted to be a medicine cat, that he already knew a lot of herbs from what the medicine cat had taught him but tried to put those feelings away as he glared back at her. "Then thank the stars she's the one in charge, not you. Are you really naive enough to think that you could kill me without there being some kind of recourse? That they would find my body and not be able to smell the other cats at the meeting? No. They would. And then any hope that any of us had would be dashed because those cats would be killed." He couldn't help it- he hated being the one that others yelled at and his life being threatened? He understood she was a queen and these were her kits but come on.
He was trying to do the right thing here and the frustration was just too much at this point.
He paused at the threat, his tail flicking for a moment, understanding at least the last comment as he sighed. "Driftpaw is safe with me. I'll be doing my best to take over Mottlepaw's and Applepaws training without being suspicious." He didn't trust that his sister would actually train Applepaw, instead use her as some kind of trophy and the poor kit would be woefully underprepared for any kind of fight... and Mottlepaw he didn't think would survive being under Pineclaw, his brother was too harsh even with apprentices that weren't his. The kit would have scars long before she earned her warrior name if he didn't step in, and he knew it.
With that, he went off, findign Driftpaw and seeing if he could get the apprentices together to show them the territory.
(Sounds good! Do you want to have Maplechirp pulling him aside after he takes all three of the kits out with their mentors?)

The molly had been watching out of the corner of her eyes, hoping her sister wasn't too harsh in her words but she knew deep down she was out to hurt anyone close enough for her lashings. She pushed down the feelings trying to rise up in her, she would remain strong for the cats watching her. She didn't want to voice her fears aloud, it would only put them several paces back. She still needed to speak with Bramblenose though, she knew no one else would bother to tell him about the emergency meeting. Should I even worry about inviting him? We are in a crisis now, if I didn't invite him I could push the plans closer to time now...She felt shame in those thoughts, it wasn't right even if he was the reason she had been holding off so long. She would wait until he was alone to invite him, she couldn't forget him.
Driftpaw had chosen his nest, smoothing it out before returning to the clearing. He spotted Bramblenose quickly, fur fluffing up as he raced towards him. He was still concerned about his mother and aunt, wanting both to be happy and not fight. It's my fault, isn't it? He wondered, trying to push the feelings back inside him. He didn't wanna feel like this but he was the only tom left in his family, he felt it was his responsibility to be strong. His sister, Applepaw, had been strong enough for them as kits but now it was his turn. He could see the worry in her eyes when she was assigned to Petalbloom. At least he got a somewhat friendly mentor it seemed. He finally reached Bramblenose and stretched himself out to meet his eyes. "How did it go? Is everything going to be alright?"

(okay, so especially during their talk in the woods, I can't help but be reminded of "nonstop" from Hamilton)
He was still bothered- of course he was, after being yelled at by a queen who was obviously out for blood- but when Driftpaw scrambled over to him he couldn't help but feel all of those angry feelings melt away into a heavy feeling of guilt because he was much too young to be an apprentice. So he leaned forward, swiping his tongue over the apprentices head, scared at how tiny he was. "I talked to your mother, but I think that Maplechirp went for a walk to cool down. They'll both be alright- but you just let me worry about them, okay? You're job is to be an apprentice and learn. That's it, okay?" Because he didn't want this young kit to put too much on his little shoulders. It just wasn't fair- he knew that the litter had already experienced so much loss and grief in their young lives, and he wanted at least Driftpaw to get the best parts out of being an apprentice.
"Did you talk to your siblings? Do they want to explore the territory with us?" He asked, watching as Petalbloom finally seemed to look at Applepaw, talking to the tiny kit briefly and seeming to be at a bit of a loss as to what to do with the kit that she was now in charge of. He held back a heavy sigh- there was no point in letting Driftpaw know how worried he was about all three of the siblings, scanning the camp until he found that Pineclaw was impatiently waiting at the entrance for Mottlepaw, an unhappy scowl on his features.

Driftpaw seemed to be put off by his words, trying not to dwell on them too much but it felt like it wasn't the full story. He would, of course, worry about the two of them. His aunt always seemed tired and they always spoke with his mother in a hushed tone to not wake them up when they slept in the nursery but he always caught bits and pieces. "I haven't had the chance..." He trailed off, guilt racking his brain. He should have done that first instead of concerning himself with his nest but he had to make sure their nests were near each other. He glanced over to his sisters, Mottlepaw was trailing over to Pineclaw with her tail dragging in the dirt. Applepaw seemed to be awkwardly standing there, only a few whiskers away from her mentor as she was shown off like a large piece of prey that was caught. Shouldn't this be a special day for them? It was overshadowed by the fact they were a moon too young to be apprentices. He hoped this wouldn't last and soon he would feel excitement about his apprenticeship. Right now, dread was all he could feel. He heard horror stories from Maplechirp about the life of an apprentice and warrior, his mother wouldn't approve but Maplechirp was always giving them warning of the life they were living beyond his nursery walls.
"Should we go gather them now? I think I'll be more comfortable trying to talk them with you." He mewed, turning back to his mentor. He had heard about him too, the leader's kit. He hadn't heard a lot but enough to know they were of high honor in the clan. He should be excited that his mentor was held in such high regards in the clan but it felt...different. Like he shouldn't be the one overtaking his training, same with his siblings. At least Bramblenose seemed to be caring towards him, he couldn't imagine what it was like under Pineclaw or Petalbloom.
{*turns down Hamilton inspo music* what are you talking about? I dont see it at all LOL. tbh I used Hamilton's Congratulations and whatnot for the fight to get me in the mood.}

She watched as he took out the three apprentices with his siblings, ducking deeper into the brush. If he would only get himself alone so she could speak...her time was coming quicker than she thought, his littermates breaking off with their own apprentices to do Starclan knows what. She waited until they were deeper into the forest before reaching out a paw and grabbing at his back leg, taking him down. She knew Driftpaw would be worried but she peered her head out so he could see. "Hello little one, sorry I have to borrow your mentor for some warrior business." She turned to the now fallen Bramblenose. "Sorry, I thought it would be more of a dragging you into the bushes with me, come on we have to hurry before they return." She quickly turned around and went deeper into her hiding spot, waiting for him to follow.
She tried to remain calm but she still felt this sinking feeling in her chest, what if he knew about the kits becoming apprentices early? That was something they should have known. But he had to know if we did know this information, things would be rushed and he wouldn't get his full moon.

Bramblenose, for all intents and purposes, had tried to keep the three littermates together for as long as he could. He managed to do so as they toured the territory, but the moment that they had seen everything once Pineclaw wanted to go and teach his apprentice some fighting techniques and Pettlebloom wanted to go to and "scent the border" which... probably meant flaunting Applepaw more to the warriors from Magnoliaclan.
Great.
He'd already put the seed in his siblings mind that they should be trained nearly fully together- that having a trio that knew each others moves so well they didn't need to think would be an advantage but he'd have to work on them more when they were alone and away from little ears that shouldn't hear anything about battles yet. Which was why he was going to start Driftpaw on hunting- of course he'd have to teach the little kit some basic self defense moves, but he wanted to protect Driftpaw as much as possible. He was leading the kit towards the Dead Oak, where plenty of rodents lived during New Leaf so he could get some practicing in.
Which was where his back leg was taken down and he let out a startled hiss, swiping at whoever had taken him down before he realized it was Maplechirp. He was started at that, looking between the apprentice and Maplechirp. "Driftpaw- I won't be long. I want you to stay as still as possible and look for what kind of prey you could catch here." He had to think fast before following her quickly, ears a little flat, because he didn't want Driftpaw to be alone for very long.
"No- I understand. What do you want?" He wasn't being rude- he genuinely wanted to know what was so important that she literally dragged him away from an apprentice he was already scrambling to keep safe.

She kept her gaze towards Driftpaw's placement before going back to him. "We have an emergency meeting tonight. Things aren't exactly going to plan and I'm unsure how much longer I can put it off. I know I gave you a moon and I plan on keeping true to my promise." Unlike some cats she thought bitterly before focusing back on their conversation. Her fur was beginning to bristle with each moment passing them. "I am unsure whether you knew about this, I honestly don't care at this point because there's nothing to be done about what happened. Though this has complicated things a great deal. "You have to understand my next words, if you don't then I feel as though any relationship we have is going to be shattered." A pause filled the air between them as she looked back to him, gauging his reaction before speaking once more.
"After this half moon has passed, we are going to attack. I don't care how you feel about it in the end, if you warn your mother about us or not is no concern of mine anymore. I cannot rest without knowing I did everything in my power to protect those kits. They may not be birthed from me but they are family and I helped raise them with Robinsong after her mate passed away." Her claws dug into the ground now, trying to stop herself from clawing at the nearest object near her which would be the warrior before her. She knew she was giving away so much information but he would hear it tonight and she didn't want to blindside him when he heard her speak then. It would certainly be worse than it was now, however he may react. She stood up quickly, ears perked as she listened for the other two warriors to make their return. They still had time to discuss this but she didn't want to push her luck.
