He snorted at her trying to correct his nickname, it wouldn't work. He had grown fond of it enough already and if he had to explain why she was given it a million times, so be it. "Well maybe if you didn't smell so strongly of them I wouldn't give you the nickname." He teased, brushing his tail over her side in a friendly manner. It was true, to him she smelled like the flowers growing just below them now but perhaps she couldn't scent it on herself. He was sure he couldn't pick his own scent out of a lineup. He was about to ask her something when she dived into explaining that she had been having weird dreams. The fur on his back rose as he realized perhaps he wasn't the only one experiencing this. "That's quiet odd, I've been having my own strange dreams. Dreams that were once filled with open fields full of flowers and sunshine are now growing troubling with each passing night. My two-legs aren't even in them anymore, which I find rather worrying considering they are always front and center in my dreams."

Rosco @stitchlover20 aether βΎΡΞ·ΟΟzΡβ½ Though this entire situation was a stange one, and Rosco did his best to avoid things strange in nature, he could not help but feel something within him yerning him to be apart of this. Listening to the fluffy black and white she cat speak Rosco easily related to her. Though he loved his upwalkers, and he knew they loved him, the kittypet life was no longer the life he desired. Unhappy and trapped by the walls of the den Rosco wished for a life free of the upwalkers. A life full of self-reliance and community with his own kind. Taking a deep breath he nodded to Blaze. "I think a meeting is a great idea. We should split into pairs and spread the news. If we work fast enough we can reach everyone before nightfall and have the meeting at moonhigh." Rosco was eager to figure out who else might have had the dream and what type of connection they all shared. Casting a kind glance to Sophie he spoke up once more. "We could pair up if you'd like. I'm Rosco by the way", he meowed introducing himself with a swoosh of his plumed tail.

"When will this meeting be? It should probably be at night so none of the twolegs know we're gone." Sophie swished her tail across the ground as she got to her paws. The plan could go wrong if they scare other cats with their ideas and dreams. There might be some who never had them and think they're all crazy who should leave the neighborhood. She turned her attention to Rosco with a grateful blink of her eyes at the tom. "Sure! It'll be fun meeting new neighbors I haven't seen. My name is Sophie, it's a pleasure to meet you."

He often lost patience with cats that were a bit over-the-top, whether it was because they were overly bubbly, overly excitable, or - like this cat - overly irritable and aggressive. He was good at remaining calm, but it only lasted as long as he had the patience to deal with a situation, and he was beginning to get annoyed. Even Lily changed her tune, telling him off as well, and he flicked his tail in satisfaction; you'd have to be a truly irritable cat to tick Lily off. He was getting to his paws, expecting them both to turn tail and find someone else's company, when the she-cat seated herself again stubbornly, and he blinked at her in surprise. Glancing at the other tom, Shadow could see his own expression reflected there - he hadn't been expecting that either. His interest in this encounter renewed when the other tom didn't give nearly as aggressive of a response as he did before, Shadow sat back down beside Lily. " I haven't got anything better to do, honest," Shadow drawled, his amber eyes twinkling. " Besides, we haven't met a cat so rude before... this is a fresh and exciting experience!" Amusement rippled through him; he was definitely making fun of the tom a little bit, but he didn't want to provoke him either. " It didn't sound like a stupid quarrel from what Lily was telling me," he went on, more seriously. " If you don't want to get passed onto another Twoleg you're not going to get along with, why don't you just stay somewhere else? If you made friends around here, plenty of us would be happy to make arrangements for you to stay in a better nest. Most of us know how our Twolegs would react to a new cat in their home." He shrugged his shoulders, stretching his jaws in a casual yawn. " But... that would mean you'd have to make friends first." He looked pointedly at the tom. " What's your name?"

Coco threw Shadow an icy glance at his teasing but makes no comment. There really much he could say. Mainly because he's never been in this situation before. Coco physically tensed at the mention of his quarreling with his twoleg, shuffling his feet uncomfortably. He really, REALLY didn't want to talk about what happened. He just wants the past to be in the past and move on. The young tom glued his eyes to the ground as the other tom went on, seemingly in thought. Stay somewhere else? Make arrangements? Make. . . friends? Coco felt something he thought he'd lost a long time ago - hope. Would these cats really be willing to offer him a place to stay? Even after how he treated them?
He then glared. This sounds way too good to be true. He's an absolute idiot to believe anyone would do something so kind for him. Why would they? There's no way they'd offer such a thing without wanting something in return. He turned to them to object, but the dark tom was quicker with his questions. Coco looked away from them and lifted his chin.
". . . Coco," He flatly replied. "My first twoleg gave me that name."

Blaze ;; Sophie's Yard ;; Sophie, Spider, Rosco ;; @stitchlover20 , βΎΡΞ·ΟΟzΡβ½ , Falconwing ;;
Blaze nodded firmly to Rosco and flicked his bushy tail, "Yes, good idea. We'll group up, that way the others won't think we're lying or anything! Even if they haven't had dreams, just try and get everyone to meet." He looked thoughtful for a moment, considering Sophie's question regarding when this would take place. His fur pricked in anticipation and he knew one thing: he wanted to do this now. "Tonight. By the fence where Lily lives, just three nests that way-" he gestured with his tail towards the east, where trees could be seen distantly swaying above the fence tops, "Get anyone and everyone to meet there. We'll be able to talk. This has to mean someone, so please convince everyone!" He turned to Spider, "We'll pair up!" Truthfully, the sandy tom would have preferred the warmer company of Sophie or the calmness of Rosco. Alas, the snarky Spider would suffice. Besides, they weren't here to be best friends - they had a task to do!
"We'll meet you two at the fence, at moonhigh. Please convince everyone!" He bounded back towards the fence, preparing his muscles to leap to its top. He felt as though he had the strength of a hundred cats as he sprang to the top, and a surge of strong emotions made his paws tingle. He could hardly be sure what he was so excited for, he just knew that he was, as though there were bees buzzing about in his brain. Glancing back, he looked to Spider. "Any suggestions for who we should visit first?" He asked.
Lily ;; Twolegplace ;; Coco, Shadow ;; bumblingbee , πΌππ²π―π½ ;;
Lily was glad to have Shadow's presence by her side as his nonchalant attitude made her settle her agitation. She couldn't explain why she had decided to stay rather than leave; perhaps it was stubbornness, perhaps it was interest. Coco was certainly proving to be a strange cat, and when she looked back to the white and brown tom, she eyed him with fascinated curiosity. As his face turned with conflicting emotions, she wondered what on earth could have happened to make him so closed off and defensive. Clearly he was troubled - it would make sense he was so closed off if he thought he was leaving, what would be the point in making friends if you feared you would be leaving soon?
"Your first twoleg?" She meowed questioningly, her head tilting. Lily had only ever known a life with the one twoleg she had, and while they were not perfect, she still thought they were fine. She would hate if she had to live with another twoleg, it just wouldn't be the same! And what if she had to leave all her friends? Glancing back to Shadow, she thought about how hard it would be leave not just him, but Blaze and Evie alike. "How many twolegs have you lived with?" She asked, turning her attention back to the white tom.

aether πΌππ²π―π½ Coco sighed at the question. That was tough to answer accurately. He's moved to so many nests that it was difficult to remember the exact number. He gave his chest a few quick licks as he tried to come up with a suitable answer. Still not looking at the two cats, he replied. "Ten? Twenty?" He shrugged lazily. "I've stopped counting a long time ago. No twoleg ever wants to keep me. So what difference does it make if I stayed here? 'Course, I don't expect either of you to really get it. You housecats must really love being pushed around and treated like you're stupid,"
The brown and white tom laid and curled up against the tree, mindful of his leg. Coco couldn't really call himself a 'housecat' at this point. Not with all the constant moving. So he had no problems with calling Lily and Shadow "you housecats". And he's not the least bit sorry about what he's said about their twolegs - he meant every word of it. Ever since his first twoleg, Coco never had any positive feelings towards the entirety of twolegs. Noisy, smelly, grabby control-freaks!

"Moonhigh it is, see you guys then", Rosco meowed confirming with Blaze before turning back to Sophie. Dipping his head low and bowing the silky grey tom spoke in a smoother tone. "The pleasure is mine sweet Sophie." Rosco couldn't help but turn on some charm towards the pretty she-cat. Lifting his head back up, the tom rose to his full stature and looking in the direction of the meeting place. "If the meeting is to commence at Lilys fenceline it might be a good idea to make sure she is on board with it. I would hate for some many cats to show up to make her feel threatened or anxious and her not know whats going on. What do you think?", seeking Sophies opinion he looked back at her with soft green eyes and awaited her answer.

"If we find anyone on the way we can ask them about having any dreams." She turned to her fence before leaping on the ledge and carefully balanced on it as she waited for Rosco to join her. She wondered if Lily would refuse their plan and they have to find a brand new place to meet? It would be more tricky to figure out a place where a group of cats could meet for this.

He'd said nothing except his name in response to everything Shadow had said, seemingly struggling with his response, and he obviously didn't want to talk about what had just happened with his current Twolegs. Oh well, it wasn't as if he was truly interested, he was just along for the ride, as things often were when he spent time with Lily and other cats. " I'd say it's nice to meet you, but it hasn't," he purred, flicking his tail in his own amusement. Lily showed more concern for Coco, wondering incredulously how many Twolegs he'd lived with. Like the she-cat, Shadow had only lived with these Twolegs for most of his life too; though, from how often he acted out, he was sometimes shocked he hadn't been thrown out for good. Shadow tilted his head at Coco's condescending tone as he went on, and scoffed in response. " I've never been pushed around a day in my life by my Twolegs, are you kidding me? I own that nest, I just allow them to live in it. I've knocked their things off counters, woken them up in the middle of the night, scared them when they're just walking around..." He let out another purr of amusement. " You really think we're getting pushed around? We push them around as soon as we make them love us. There's nothing I could do at this point that'd make them hate me and that, my friend, is not so bad at all." He paused for a moment, considering. " If you hate Twolegs so much, why don't you just go live in the wild?" He rose to his paws and nodded behind him, where beyond all the fences and nest there was a forest. " I was born out there, as a kit."

"The feeling's mutual," Coco responded to Shadow's teasing, being nowhere near friendly or playful. Seriously, what was with this tom and making fun of him? The nerve of this cat! If it wasn't for the fact he hated fighting, Coco would have already clawed Shadow's ears off for constantly mocking him. Coco scoffed as the dark tom bragged about "owning the nest and pushing the twolegs around", rolling his eyes.
"So in that case, you housecats are no better than twolegs," He spat. If that's how housecats truly acted, then was there really a difference between them and their twolegs in the beginning? His ears perked up at Shadow's mention of the wild, definitely catching his interest. He followed Shadow's gaze towards the forest.
He does admit that Coco DID consider leaving the twolegs behind and venturing forth into the unknown depths of the forest. Coco didn't know why, but the young tom had always felt. . . drawn to it. Like something in the dark was calling out to him. Coco blames that entirely on the strange dreams he's been having as of late. Hunting mice, stalking through the shadows, the smell of pine, the herbs. . . He'd never confess this to anyone, but the place in his dreams felt more like. . . home to him. A place he truly belonged. And a place completely absent of twolegs! Coco almost purred at the thought but stopped himself just in time. The last thing he needs is giving Shadow more reasons to mock him. Coco tore his memorized gaze away from the forest and shook away the thoughts from his head. "I didn't ask!" He quickly replied. Composing himself, he lifted his chin to put on an arrogant facade to disguise his emotions. "Why would I ever want to live in such a damp dark place like that anyway? Your sense of humour is poor at best."

Bella || Twoleg Dens || With @stitchlover20 's Smokey Bella nodded sharply, bunching her muscles to spring into the air, her tail swishing along the well-manicured lawn playfully, "I promise you won't hurt me, and I will do my best to not hurt you. The ball is super soft so it won't hit very hard at all!" She winked playfully at the tom, "Come on! Give it your best shot!" Smokey felt silly for asking the question and should of known the ball was soft enough to cause no harm. She just wanted to play a game with him and he is acting too nervous. Most of the cats around here seemed nice and didn't stir drama to make him not trust anyone here. "Alright, here it comes!" He threw the ball towards her while getting into a position when she hits it back to him. Bella smiled as the tom seemed to relax into the idea of playing with her. As he lobbed the small ball into the air the she-cat watched it closely before springing upwards and batting it back up into the air. Landing back on the ground, Bella found herself purring happily as the ball arched back towards the dark furred tom. 'So this is what it feels like to have friends!'

MadFaith Moony followed the tom along the top of the barn, still slightly afraid she might fall off the edge even as she was being as careful as possible and staying close to the barn cat. Her legs trembled when he jumped onto the pile of hay at the wall farthest from the pigs, hoping she didnt break anything and dropped after him. He led her to a crevice between the hay bales and there in the opening was a nice, warm, cozy nest the smelled strongly of mice and grass. "This is nice. The lining here is perfect," she meowed, circling the nest and admiring the feathers. She then realized something. "Dont any other cats come here? Like to visit? Or do you stay here... like alone?" She found it hard to believe a jolly, patient and warm tom like this didnt have any friends. Oliver sat back on his haunches as Moony explored his nest, it felt nice to be able to share his world with someone else and invite them in to his space. "I collected the feathers from the chickens, they loose them so frequently, I thought it would make sense to make use of them instead of just leaving them lying around." Moony's question caused the tom's smile to falter slightly, as his gaze very quickly fell to his paws, "Not too many house cats want to spend their time with a barn cat. You're the first cat that has ever really shown interest in seeing my world. So most of the time it's just me, my no-furs and the other critters on the farm, but I like things that way." The tom's last comment was shaky, like he was trying to convince himself of a lie he knew to be false.

Lily ;; Coco's Nest;; Shadow , Coco ;; πΌππ²π―π½ , bumblingbee ;;
Lily rolled her eyes as Shadow and Coco began to bicker. Perhaps there was no point in even trying to talk to Coco, not when he was apparently so threatened by the presence of the two of them. Shadow's mention of living in the forest made her turn her gaze towards the fenceline, the forest was only a short distance away. Her own twoleg nest was situated next to the forest and she would often find herself gazing into its dark, interesting depths, but she had never strayed into it. It seemed like a whole different world! How could a housecat like her ever live there? She flicked her tail and stood up, stepping between Coco and Shadow. She placed her tail lightly on her tabby friends shoulder, "You're right Shadow. We are able to do whatever we please, with or without our twolegs." Glancing to Coco, she sighed softly. "No way are we as bad as our twolegs. Besides, that doesn't matter. You should learn by now that if you are so bitter and angry then no one is going to accept you." There was a harsh sting to her words, but her eyes seemed to be more concerned than anything.
"We aren't going to get anywhere with all this bickering. Let's do something else. Maybe something constructive." She tipped her head as she thought, "We could go stalk some butterflies? Or get some food from the old twoleg who is always handing out snacks?" Lily's take on 'fun' showed clearly how sheltered her life was.
Harvey ;; Forest;; Weasel ;; Weaselstar ;;
Harvey flicked his tail and nodded approvingly as Weasel pushed himself up and onto the branch beside him. The Siamese tom shifted to make room for the lean tom and he flicked his whiskers. "Well done! That was great. I've been trying to learn how to hunt from the trees." He licked his lips, thinking about one day being able to snag a squirrel in a tree. He'd never done it before, but that was what goals were for! "It takes a long time because you can't be stealthy when you climb trees, it requires strength and speed. But if you are precise, you can make it work." He pressed his claws into the bark of the tree and looked down to the ground. He much preferred the forest than his home, he felt as though he could relax when he was in the trees.
Baxter ;; Anne's Nest;; Anne ;; ο½ο½ο½ο½
;;
The heat of the sun made Baxter's chocolate pelt warm the to touch, it looked sleek and shiny in the light. He was crouched, eyes narrowed intently, and whiskers quivering with excitement. Ahead of him, a big, black beetle meandered over the grass, its hardened back was also shining in the rays of the sun. Wobbling on his haunches, Baxter sprang. His front paws slammed down on the beetle and he lunged his head forward to grasp it in his mouth, only to spit it back out a moment later as its spiky legs itched against his lips. "I'm the best hunter that ever lived!" He yowled, spinning around to face Anne. The young tom lived two houses over from the ginger she-cat, and since his twolegs spent most of their time away from the nest, he often spent his days playing in Anne's yard. He shook his pelt before moving down into another hunters crouch, this time his target was Anne. "You'd better watch out, Anne! I'll catch you just like the beetle!" His eyes were watching her intently, but they were filled with playful humour.
He was often intrigued by the idea of hunting for his own food, especially since his own twolegs would sometimes forget to top up his own bowl when they returned home so late at night. He never knew where they went all day, but he knew they were boring because they didn't even pet him like Anne's owners did!

aether πΌππ²π―π½ Coco made a 'hmph!' noise in response to Lily. What is she, his mother? Of course he knows that! It's what kept cats away from him in the beginning! Well, up until today. It still baffles him that Lily made the conscious decision to stay put despite how he talks to her and Shadow. He's never met another cat this stubborn in his life! Coco's. . . not entirely sure how to feel about that. Is he annoyed? Relieved? Perplexity is definitely what he's feeling at this moment.
He looks at Lily at her suggestion. "Constructive, huh? Like what?" He questioned. Coco's confusion from before quickly transformed into bafflement. Slowly, he sat up while keeping his gaze glued onto the she-cat. ". . . Is that your definition of fun?!" Rather than condescending, his tone carried more disbelief and awestruck. How sheltered WAS this cat that she sees being fed by an old twoleg "constructive"?! Lily must live a worse life than Coco! Good grief! "What kind of a sick twisted home did you grow up in?!"
