Lily ;; Twolegplace ;; Open to replies ;; @ ;;
Lily balanced on her back legs as her housefolk dangled a piece of meat just above her nose. "Come on, give it to me!" Lily mewled, reaching up to grasp it with her claw. The twoleg rumbled and purred before giving Lily the piece of meat, and the she-cat wound her way through the housefolks legs in thanks. "See, you're not so bad!" Lily meowed to her twolegs. The loud call of a bird outside caught her attention and Lily whipped her tail. That pesky bird is back! I'll show it! She skidded momentarily on the tiles before she hared out the back door, shooting into the yard in time to see the pigeon take flight. "And don't come back!" Lily yowled. She'd never been able to catch the birds that often came to her yard and it frustrated her to no end, so now she opted to scare them away.
The sky outside was free of clouds, but there was a nip to the wind. For some time, Lily had sprawled on the grass and groomed her pelt under the gentle warmth of the sun. The she-cat quickly became bored an instead of going back to her teasing twolegs, she bunched her muscles and leaped on top of her fence. Expertly, she padded across its top edge with her tail waving high in the air. She lived in a nest that border the woods, but she never strayed into the dark depths. Instead, she padded along towards the closer nests. Sometimes, other twolegs would leave bowls of food out and she discovered that if she purred and wound around them, the food was hers for the taking.
Yassssss let's do this! >:3

Arya || Smokewillow || 28 moons A short furred gray molly with pale green eyes A naturally maternal she-cat with a strong dislike for risks. Open to any kin || RiverClan descendent
Anne || Brightpaw || 8 moons A pretty, long furred ginger tabby with pale green eyes. A naive she-cat who prides herself in always trying her best. Though very gentle, she certainly dislikes getting her paws dirty. Open to kin || She definitely could be considered "spoiled" by her twolegs || ShadowClan descendent
Louie || Brackenpaw || 11 moons A handsome brown tom with a white muzzle and underbelly, along with light amber eyes. A tom who values loyalty above all else and is incredibly affectionate. He's willing to do nearly anything for those he cares about, but can be "sassy" at times. Open to kin || RiverClan descendent
Could I eventually make a cat who's a member of the Ravens? (If those are roles you'd actually want people to RP, of course :-) ) ))

Coco hissed and thrashed and yowled loudly at his twoleg grabbing him by the scruff and picking him up. How dare this creature grab him! What does he look like, a toy?! He managed to snag his claws on the twoleg's paw and it yowled in pain. That alone was enough to make him grin with satisfaction. But that moment was quickly interrupted when he was suddenly thrown out of the nest and into the yard, feeling the pain of landing shoot throughout his body. This seemed to fuel his anger and quickly shot up onto his paws.
"Did you just THROW me?!" He screeched. The twoleg closed the sliding door as soon as Coco clumsily dashed over. His fur bristled with rage and his ears flattened against his head. "You stupid furless FREAKS! You think just because you're bigger than me, you can treat me however you want?! You deserved that bite earlier and you KNOW it!"
Angry, he stalked away from the nest's entrance, a slight limp in his step thanks to his weak front left leg. He pressed himself against the yard's small tree and curled up, now sulking. Then, he sighed in dejection.
This is the sixth twoleg this month alone. None of the previous twolegs that adopted Coco ever wanted to keep him. He can't say he doesn't know why though; Coco had the tendency to get aggressive with every twoleg he came across. He just never found any reason to like them. Big, stupid, smelly, selfish, arrogant creatures that assumes those smaller than them are easy to push around. The young tom was never able to understand how other cats could form a bond with their twolegs. Can they really not see these things for what they really are?
He gave another sigh. Whatever. Tomorrow or so, he'll just be handed over to yet another twoleg. Hopefully its nest doesn't have any kits of its own, or dogs, or fellow cat. Coco seriously doesn't have the energy to deal with them.
Coco's ears perked up at the sound of something walking along the fence. He mentally cursed. 'Please for the love of Pete let this be a hyperactive bird and not another cat!' He anxiously thought. Coco didn't dare lift his head to look. If it WAS another cat, then he'd lock eyes with them and then he'd have no choice but to talk and then a conversation would happen and he can't deal with that right now!

Weasel laughed at himself. Harveyβs advice made sense, however it wasnβt what he thought what you needed to do such a task. Nonetheless Weasel reared back and sprinted for the trunk again. His paws slipped a couple times and looked back and almost picked at how high he was. Weaselβs front paw came loose, but he was near the branch so he leaped with all his might and managed to scramble on the branch. βWell, that was...difficult.β

SHADOWβΈ twolegplace βΈ tag aether & bumblingbeeβΈ hope it's ok if I hop in this one too?? β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β°β° It was after Shadow stalked, pounced, and clung onto his Twoleg's pant leg that he was finally thrown out of the nest for the time being, after much exasperated yowling on the Twoleg's part. It was like a daily ritual; Shadow would find some new, interesting (or tried and true) way to annoy his Twolegs until they tired of him and they'd let him go where he really wanted to be - outside, where the air was fresh and clear, and agonizingly close to the woods he so wished to prowl in. He'd done it a few times, too, but usually ended up coming back, because at the end of the day he'd rather have a warm place to sleep at night. As soon as he found that out in the forest... he figured he'd be gone for good. Or maybe not. Shadow rolled his shoulders shaking out his pelt in satisfaction. He enjoyed causing mischief a little too much in his Twoleg den. He used to be an absolute terror at night, pretending he was catching birds in the biggest rooms when his Twolegs were asleep by leaping high in the air, as high as he could reach, before landing neatly back on his paws. As of late, however, he'd been too disturbed by the dreams he'd been having to resume his usual nightly antics. He took a moment to wash himself, before streaking along the edge of his fenced yard, making a running leap for the top of the fence. He made the jump easily, and didn't spare his Twoleg nest another glance as he strode confidently along the top, pouncing over to the next fence before he realized he wasn't the only one who'd had this idea. Shadow waved his tail in greeting at the tortoiseshell she-cat not too far from him. He'd met her around here before; it was rare if he didn't know a cat around here, especially one so close to his own nest. " What's the plan today, Lily?" he called, always curious what other cats did when they were out and about. " See anything that's caught your eye?"

She bit her tongue, trying to hold back her cruel remark as she turned to the other she-cat. She was hoping he would just explain it for her instead of making her actually speak aloud but here they were. Taking a deep breath she began to explain her own dream in a quick, matter of fact way. "Yeah mine is similar to his, I've been dreaming of open fields though. Then I see a starry cat and they change the surroundings to darkness but I can hear cats yowling, fighting. Nothing like any fighting I heard back in my day." She cast a side eye to Blaze before letting out a short snort. "I guess they could be saying what they are in his dream too but I never catch all of it, the noise of the fighting always drowning out the words." She curled her tail over her flank and turned her eyes elsewhere once more. This was a mistake, it would have been funny to see Blaze laughed at but now she was the butt of the joke too.

They all seemed to be speaking aboit something, and as curious as he was, Rosco would be happy to join in if they would welcome him. Hopefully this wasn't a bad time, feeling social now that he was out of his nest.

Sophie cast a smile to Spider before sitting back and listening to each of their story. By the way the new cat acted it didn't seem she wanted to be here; telling this stranger about a dream that sounds a bit silly. Her eyes widen at the end and jumped to her paws with a big smile on her face as though she discovered something never seen before. "This is amazing!" Her voice came out louder than she expected. Their dreams were almost exactly the same! What if her dream meant something too and she just brushed them off as unusual nonsense. "I actually had a few dreams recently. I appeared in a forest with many large trees that almost seem to touch the sky and there were strange cats jumping among them. I climbed up one to join in, but they suddenly started running away and they sounded afraid. I tried to get down to escape whatever that was scaring them but the tree snagged me. One of the cats stopped and said 'you must find the others'." After her spew, she took in a deep breath and stared at them expectedly for some sort of reaction.

Shouting nearby caught the she-cats attention, and her ears pricked as she heard the yowls of twolegs, then the hiss of a cat. Oh no, who's that? She slunk forward atop the fence, her claws scraping uncomfortably on the metal as she peered over the fence and into the offending yard. Initially, she did not see anything noteworthy, but as she gazed around she spotted a white and brown patch of fur curled amongst the roots of a tree. Who is that? I've never seen him before! Lily would usually make an effort to introduce herself to newcomers, however she'd been totally unaware of this new cats presence. She bunched her muscle to prepare and leap down, but the voice of a familiar tom made her straighten. She waved her tail in delight to greet him. "Shadow! You've got the most perfect timing," she bounded forward a few steps and touched noses with the tom in greeting. When she stepped back, she gestured to the yard below and lowered her voice, "There's a stranger down there I've never seen before. I just heard them fight with their twolegs so I want to check on them and introduce myself," her eyes glinted with concern. "Come with me!"
Without giving her tabby friend time to respond, she flung herself down into the strangers yard, landing with a soft 'offt'. Being a loyal housecat all her life, she didn't have the same wariness that might come naturally to others, so instead of creeping towards the tom, she bounded over with her tail waving. "Hi! I've never seen you before! Are you okay? I heard lots of shouting." She came skidding to a halt in front of Coco, her yellow eyes concerned but curious. She glanced back over her shoulder to made sure Shadow was following, and she added, "My name is Lily and this is Shadow. We both live nearby. Maybe we could all be friends?" Her tone was light and bubbly.

Whilst Blaze wasn't appreciative of Spider's lack luster narration of her dreams, he was glad that she was there to support his claims. It was definitely more convincing if she was able to talk about her dreams, rather than him rambling on like a mad-cat. When Spider finished, Blaze held his breath to await Sophie's response. Only when Sophie jumped to her paws, eyes wide with amazement, did Blaze breathe out his sigh of relief. Perhaps we aren't so crazy after all. He glanced to Spider and nodded approvingly before turning his attention back to Sophie, he too rose excitedly to his paws. There was a crucial difference to Sophie's dream though that made the ginger tomcat pause to think. She must find the others? Could we be the others? And what about my dream? 'Many must become one'? This could be no coincidence. "That's amazing, Sophie. This has to mean something than, I'm sure of it! I don't know what it could be though... we'll have to find out if anyone else is having the same dreams." And as though on cue, Rosco appeared in Blaze's peripherals. Blaze turned and waved his tail in greeting to the smokey tom.
"Hey Rosco! I've got to ask-" the words tumbled excitedly from Blaze's jaws "-have you been having any strange dreams? We were just talking about it because we've all had strange dreams of cats and whispers being in strange places." Blaze stared expectantly at Rosco, kneading at the ground impatiently with his fore-paws.

They had all had dreams similar to his... what was going on? Questions cause his mimd to whirl and pelt to prickle as his tall ears flexxed backwards. "I'm not the only one?" Finally stepping closer and eliminating the distance between them he continued. "I thought I was being driven mad by my upwalkers and being stuck in there nest. Is it just you guys or are their others?" Plumed tail flicking back and forth as he stood amongst the group, green eyes wide with curiosity and mimd churning to make sense of it all.

Coco picked up some faint murmering from afar and breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe they hadn't seen him and decided to talk to someone else instead. Thank goodness. His tense body relaxed at the thought, preparing himself to curl up and take a bit of a nap. Today was rather emotionally straining. Stupid twolegs.
His body tensed up again at the she-cat's cheerful greeting. 'Mouse-dung. . . !' Coco muttered harshly under his breath. He had no choice but to look over at her and oh no now there's two of them why is there two of them this is the absolute worst.
Today couldn't get any worse, could it?!
The young tom quickly got onto his feet and took a few steps away from the two cats. Coco wasn't shy in letting others know exactly how he was feeling or what he thought of them. So, he gave the pair a cold stare and sat back down.
"You're bold in assuming that I'd ever be friends with the likes of you," He sniffed arrogantly. He raised his back leg to scratch the itch behind his ear. "Not like it really matters anyway. I'll just move to another nest tomorrow." Coco didn't bother answering any of Lily's other questions. He really couldn't be bothered, and also didn't want to. It's not this she-cat's or tom's business what goes on between Coco and his twolegs, is it? Maybe the mention of moving tomorrow will encourage the two to stop talking to him. Who wants to befriend someone that they're only going to see for one day? It's meaningless!

" You don't mean to say something is finally happening around here?" he gasped, for dramatic effect. Things around here were usually quite normal, and for someone as bored as the tabby tom, he was often desperate for literally anything to happen. He crossed the last length of distance between himself and the tortoiseshell, as she filled him in on what was going on. A newcomer? That didn't happen everyday, that was for sure. He crouched on top of the fence, peering down into the yard below. " A fight, you say?" His eyes glinted. " Say no more." He was in. Lily had already pounced down into the yard below, which Shadow had to confess didn't think was a smart idea. He preferred to meet new cats from the safety of the fence that he traveled on, in case a cat was more territorial than others. If it were any other cat that flung herself down there, Shadow might've stayed where he was, but he liked Lily so with a sigh he bounded down from the fence and joined the she-cat. He chuckled at her open friendliness, as he observed the new cat before them. He was a white tom with brown points, and his yellow eyes did not reflect the friendliness in Lily's. In fact, his gaze was rather frosty when he looked at the two of them. Shadow snorted, flicking one ear as he sat down beside Lily. " Who put thorns in your tail? She only wanted to know if you're alright." He listened as the other tom went on, and tilted his head. " Sounds like this isn't the first time things have gone wrong for you with Twolegs," he observed. It wouldn't take a genius to figure that out. " I hope we're not the first cats that have ever asked if you're alright." And if it was the first time, then it'd certainly explain the other tom's prickly reaction to Shadow and Lily.

"Oh, Lavender, it's nice to see you up and about this morning." He purred in welcoming, rushing up to meet her at the post. He launched himself on top, almost overshooting and falling into her own yard. "Woops, caught myself." He chuckled, easing back into a sitting position. "How are you today? Anything interesting happen so far?" He asked, his tail shifting back behind him as he awaited her answer. He, himself, had quiet the interesting dream the night before and couldn't wait to spill about it.

Coco snorted. He did meet some concerned housecats that lived with his previous housefolk, but he never engaged with any of them. And he made it perfectly clear about his feelings towards them by insulting them. However, one particular smug, uppity housecat came to mind, and felt bitterness and anger quickly bubble its way to the surface.
One nest he stayed in for a few days was home to a dog. A very excitable dog. Coco's fur bristled at the painful memory of the dog, and felt his leg ache and shake. And that housecat. . . she didn't even care. She treated the situation like it was a regular occurrence and washed herself. The young tom felt angry, but it wasn't because she ignored him or treated it like it was nothing. He was angry because of what she had said to him.
'You were the one who startled the dog. You provoked it, you deal with it.'
For as long as he still breathes, he will never forget or forgive that arrogant she-cat for saying such a thing. Coco had to learn how to use plants from the garden to treat his own wound since that stupid privileged housecat wasn't going to do anything. And ever-so-conveniently, his twolegs weren't home when the whole debacle happened. Unfortunately, as much as he tried to save his leg, it never healed properly and became incredibly weak. Fantastic. Super. Great.
Coco subconsciously covered his weak leg with his tail and took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Don't you two have somewhere to be right now?" He spat, and lifted his head, closing his eyes. Whatever past issues he was dealing with right now, they had nothing to do with these cats. They were his issues alone. Besides, what happened was a really long time ago! What is he doing, thinking about that now? Yeah, it hurt, but dwelling on the past wasn't going to fix his leg or make the cats go away now, was it? Suck it up, Coco!
"In case you haven't noticed, I'm very busy." Busy with what? Well. . . he's. . . not entirely sure. Yet. But really, he's just saying anything to avoid having to talk. Why are they even still here? If truth be told, this is the longest conversation he's ever had with another cat, let alone two.

Lily ;; Twolegplace ;; Coco, Shadow ;; bumblingbee , πΌππ²π―π½ ;;
Initially, Lily felt the fur on her tail begin to bristle when Coco spoke so harshly to them. She'd met a few unsociable cats in her time, but she was only trying to be friendly! He didn't even make an effort to appreciate that! She opened her mouth to quip back at the brown and white tom, but Shadow was faster. Shadow's reply was much more calm than her own. Flicking her tail indignantly, she turned her head to Shadow as he continued to speak, his calm and assertive tone made her relaxed the fur around her neck and she nodded in agreement to his words. Even if someone else has spoken to him before, I'm sure they also learnt quickly he isn't much to be around. For a she-cat who was usually so sociable and bright, Coco had cleared rubbed her the wrong way.
Lily rolled her eyes as Coco continued to deflect all offers of their kindness. She rose to her paws and stepped towards him, "What are you busy doing? Moseying around and glaring at anyone who tries to approach you?" She narrowed her eyes, "Shadow and I are only trying to be nice to you, and now that you've made it abundantly clear you aren't interested in our company I think I'll stay a while longer." She sat down stubbornly, a tail length in front of Coco, and she raised her chin. "So, as I asked before... I heard a lot of shouting from over here, are you okay?" Her voice sounded softer than, perhaps a little sympathetic, and she twitched her whiskers. She noticed the way that Coco tucked one particular leg away under his tail, perhaps he'd hurt himself in the shouting?

Sophie turned her attention to Rosco who joined the conversation and the reality started to unfold before them. If this was happening to them there must be others in the neighborhood who may be getting similar dreams without knowing other cats are getting it too. "I've been feeling the same way to be honest. I don't enjoy being stuck inside anymore and being with my twoleg has been a bore," the she-cat admitted. It felt almost shameful to say such things since they all lived with twolegs most of their life and they've given them everything needed to live a comfortable life. If for some reason they left, what would happen to the twolegs who dearly love them? The thought almost scared her, but the dreams had to mean something even if it meant leaving her home behind to figure out the truth. "There has to be others who's been experiencing this and won't say anything out of fear of being laughed at."

aether πΌππ²π―π½ Ah, the whole "we're just trying to be nice" speech. Coco sure loves those. Sometimes other cats would go off at him about his oh-so-rude behavior and then walk away. It was nothing new at this point. Coco was in the process of rolling his eyes at the bristling she-cat, up until she mentioned staying. He looked at her with wide eyes, both bewildered and offended. 'Unbelievable! Is this she-cat really so stubborn in trying to be friends with me or something?!' Coco felt his fur bristling along his back once he's snapped out of his daze. Stupid, stubborn. . . !
He was going to argue back at Lily, but her question relating to his twoleg caught him off guard. He just glared down at her. What, just because she's going to stay and sit there all hoity-toity, he's going to pour out his heart to her? Who does she think she is?!
'. . . Nobody's actually STAYED with me before. I'm so used to being on my own, so this is kind of. . . nice.'
As quickly as that thought came, it disappeared just as fast as Coco immediately shook his head. His fur grew hot with embarrassment. What is he thinking?! What kind of thought was THAT?! He's moving to another nest tomorrow, remember?! Get a grip, you stupid tom!
Coco quickly composed himself and looked away from the two cats. Underneath his tail, he flexed his claws to deal with the embarrassment. "It was just a stupid quarrel. That's all," He reluctantly answered. Maybe if he answered her question, she'd be satisfied. But judging how this conversation was going, Coco has a strong feeling that this wasn't going to be the case. He internally sighed at that. Today was going to be a rather long day.

{ T a r o t } @/sherlock Outside in the Garden She rolled her eyes at the tom as he managed to keep himself upright on the fence posts, a soft chuckle leaving her his. "You always call me Lavender," she joked, "You know my name is Tarot!" She shrugged her shoulders, deeming it a cute nickname. Tarot did always enjoy lavender, having previously rolled around in it early this morning. Her head tilted to the side as her eyes rolled upwards as if to physically remember her dreams. "Well, I had a really strange dream last night, but I don't think it means anything." She paused feeling an increasing anxiety, knowing her words were not true. However, Tarot wasn't one to let anyone know about what happened to her personally.

"You've had the dreams too?!" Blaze could hardly believe anything he was hearing. So it wasn't just strange dreams! It had to mean something, but what could it be? Blaze turned his head back and looked at Sophie, then to Spider. "This must mean something! I don't know what but... I think that maybe we should ask more cats. If we know exactly who's had these dreams than perhaps we can find a link or something?" His voice was questioning, however he knew no one would be able to answer it. Feeling a surge of excitement - and nervousness - Blaze straightened up. Sophie's musing about others being afraid to speak up had given him an idea. "How about we all go spread the word. We'll have a meeting!" He wasn't sure what exactly they might do at the meeting, but a gentle brush against his pelt and a shiver down his spine made him believe it was right. "How about if we get as many cats as we can to meet on the border to the forest? Just past Lily's yard - that way none of our housefolk will get suspicious. We can see who's had the dreams, maybe someone will know something?" He glanced around to the group of cats, hoping he didn't appear too crazy. He was passionate about the dreaming situation, because somewhere in his heart he felt as though he had follow it through.
