Softstep || BrightClan Camp || With @stitchlover20 's Oakfur Softstep had been busy fortifying the walls of the camp when she glanced up and noticed a very dejected looking Oakfur watching them work. Tilting her head, the she-cat set down her branches and padded over to him. "Is everything okay Oakfur? Can I help with anything?" The soft furred she-cat sat down beside the tom, her blue eyes conveying her concern for the tom.

Dandelionfur - Camp - w/ Falconwing 's Eaglefrost & @stitchlover20 's Cloudpaw Dandelionfur smiled faintly as Cloudpaw seemed to take well to her suggestion of helping Eaglefrost repair the camp walls. As Cloudpaw gave her own suggestions about how to improve it, she nodded her approvingly. "Those are both good ways to made the walls more sturdy. The thicket already protects us quite a bit my I'm sure it would to some good to weave in more thorns to the walls. Especially the weak spots." she meowed thoughtfully.
Her attention was soon drawn away from the conversation as Sparrowstar suddenly called a clan meeting. She glanced at the two cats in her company before rising to her paws. "Guess we better go." she mumbled curiously. Had their leader finally made plans on what to do about the disappearing apprentices? She felt a twinge of hope in her chest and it gave a bit of eagerness to her steps as she padded over to sit below where their other clanmates were gathering.
Mushroomclaw, Nectarcloud, Mistlefoot, Buzzingwind, & Turtlepaw - Camp - w/ Rest of Clan The warriors moved to gather with the rest of their clanmates at the sound of their leader's voice. Mushroomclaw took a seat towards the middle of the clan, looking up expectantly. Nectarcloud twitched her tail with anxiousness as she sat down off to the side of the crowd. Buzzingwind yawned lazily as he sat towards the back of the crowd. Despite his seeming lack of energy, his ears were pricked forward as a subtle sign of his interest in what the meeting would be about.
Mistlefoot sat in a less populated spot as she looked up at her leader. Turtlepaw turned around from speaking to Wolfpaw and hurried over to the rest of the clan, waving for her clanmate to join her as she tried to take up a seat towards the front, slipping past a few clanmates to do so. .

Nightwing made her way below the slope and sat down to be able to face the clan as well. The deputy wasn't sure how well the clan would take Sparrowstar's plan and wanted to make sure no one tried anything during the meeting. She watched as Cloudpaw hurried over with wide eyes in anticipation with what their leader might tell them. The apprentice hoped it was good news and maybe leads on the missing cats. Oakfur had also made his way over and sat next to whoever he found before staring intently at their leader. His tail swished back and forth, making dirt fly up as he did.

"Really?" Oatkit mewed in a high-pitched, fascinated tone. "I bet you're so fast. Will you take me hunting? I've been practicing running like you. Well," she shot a sassy look at Nutpelt, "Until I get told to slow down. The camp can't hold how fast I've gotten already. Quiet down for Alderstripes and Hootshade, watch out for Morningsun, that's all I hear." Oatkit rolled her eyes and seemed to pay no mind speaking of her mother as the queen lay in earshot. As far as Oatkit was concerned, all Nutpelt did was stay in camp, and Snaketail was the one who went on adventures like the little she-cat so wished she could do. Her ears pricked curiously at Sparrowstar's voice as it carried down the slope toward the lower parts of camp. "What's happening?" she asked her father. She wasn't too sure what had been happening lately, but she doubted this was going to be her apprentice ceremony.

Still out of breath, Snowdapple made her way down the slope, slightly concerned at what Sparrowstar was going to say. She, like the rest of the Clan, knew it had to be something about those missing apprentices and while Snowdapple wasnt close to any, she knew that there was the possibility they were in danger and BrightClan didnt turn their backs on their own.

Alderstripes perked his ears and glances over at the Elder's Den. He wondered if Hootshade would be joining him or just staying inside. He waited for a bit before limping over to the edge of the growing crowd of cats. About time Sparrowstar called a meeting.
Windfall and Mintshade decided to sit together while Cherrydapple remained at the back of the crowd. She liked to have her own space.

Hootshade scooted to the entrance of the elder's den, too feeble to make it down to the meeting but refusing to miss it for the world. He looked around briefly for his daughter and felt his body relax as he saw he sit paiteintly waiting for what Sparrowstar was getting ready to say. He was worried these days that she'd be the next cat to go missing over the Thunderpath and he didnt think he could endure losing another cat he loved.

Flickerpaw sat among her clanmates, tail tip flicking back and forth as she gaze up at Sparrowstar. To her left, she could see Morningsun look around for her mate, and made a mental note to talk with the queen later. Morningsun was growing closer to kitting every day, and Flickerpaw wanted to make sure that the medicine den was stocked up on the herbs they'd need when it happened. Stormbreak, a large warrior that had admittedly scared Flickerpaw as a kit, sat beside the young medicine cat apprentice and touched his tail tip to her shoulder. Even as stoic as he was, he'd always had a knack for sensing unease in his clanmates, and Flickerpaw was greatful that the quiet tom was letting her know he was there.

[Howdy all:)] As her clanmates gathered within her view, the tabby she-cat took a deep breath and spoke clearly with volume. "I have decided what action BrightClan will take to try and stop these disappearances, and retrieve our apprentices. Before I announce this plan, I want to acknowledge that no path is without danger in a warrior's life. All the same, we will not stand aside while our clanmates are lost from us. We don't fear the unknown." She paused, and continued bravely, "I am ordering a patrol to follow what remains of the apprentices' trails. This time, they will follow them all the way. Across the thunderpath." She knew this would be met with surprise from most, and fear from some. Never before had BrightClan found any need pushing them to venture past their northern moor border at the top of their hilly range, or past their southern thunderpath border at the foot. It doesn't mean we can't, Sparrowstar reminded herself. "Badgerheart will lead, he is our oldest capable warrior and holds much of the knowledge of our clan."
Badgerheart's expectant eyes flickered with excitement. He had long been broken over his inability to find Icepaw, and was glad to be finally given an order to do anything in his power to bring her back.
Sparrowstar continued. "Eaglefrost, Stormbreak, and Dandelionfur will go beside him. I have full confidence in their experience and StarClan's favour in their paths. However, I believe given the apprentice status of all three of our missing clanmates, I will be sending Rainpaw, Cloudpaw, and Darkpaw with their mentors on this patrol. We should not doubt the perspective these young cats can give the patrol on their denmate's decisions and journeys, wherever that may be." Pushing onward through the announcement, Sparrowstar prepared herself to speak with her clanmates and answer questions after the meeting as she closed it. "The patrol will leave just before dawn patrol tomorrow morning. Their aim will be to track the apprentices' trails as far as safely possible, to report back with information about danger, and, if able, return them back to us. I know StarClan will watch over them." With that final thought, Sparrowstar released the tensity in her body and descended from her high point.

Stealthfire and brambleflightSnowdapple grew more and more shocked as the leader announced her plan. Never before had a clan cat ventured oiver the thuderpath and into the the forest on the other side. It was unexplored and since they had all they needed here, there was never much of a use to go off and wander about. She padded over to Dandelionfur and nodded to her. "May StarClan grant you success and be with you," she mewed lowly to the brave warrior.

•~•Ivypaw•~• ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » When a clan meeting was called young Ivypaw bounded over to the clearing and began to look for a spot to sit. Atfirst she was going to go and sit next to her mentor Nightwing, but then she finally caught sight of her sister, Flickerpaw. Squeezing through the growing crowd Ivypaw slipped past Stormbreak and to the other side of the medicine cat apprentice. "Hey, I've been lookong for you", she mewed softly gently rubbing her muzzle across her sister shoulder as she settled in for the meeting. •¤Eaglefrost¤• brambleflight @stitchlover20 ~Skyblaze~ The brown and white tabby tom was impressed by Cloudpaws suggestions and was about to agree and compliment her ingenuity when a camp meeting was called. Giving the apprentice a proud look and then to Dandelionfur he turned and made his way to join the gathering cats. The tom was in for a surprise and didn't even know it. Listening closely to what Sparrowstar had to say his tail flicked up in surprise when his name was listed as on of the cats going. Instantly the tom felt a sense of duty to his clan and would never think to back down from it. However his mind went to the camp wall, and how it would get accomplished if he wasn't here. Making a mental note to speak with Nightwing before he left to inform her of the unfinished task. Dipping his head the stocky tom visibly accepted the quest and looked over to Dandelionfur, who was a tail length away. When the meeting was over he looked away from the white warrior and started to search for his own apprentice, Rainpaw.

Cherryfrost twitched her whiskers a tad disappointed that she hadn't been chosen. However, she knew Badgerheart, Eaglefrost, Stormbreak and Dandelionfur were good choices. Suppose, there was always next time plus someone had to stay behind and keep the young cats in check.
Windfall slowly nodded his head and prayed silentlyl that Starclan would keep the patrol safe and bring back the apprentices. With the meeting over, the black tom slowly slinks away to the shadows wanting to once again be alone for a little bit.
Mintshade looks at the cats chosen and lets out a soft sigh. Must be fun to be chosen for such a daring adventure!

During the meeting, Cloudpaw's jaw had slowly opened and dropped in shock with the plan Sparrowstar came up with. In all honesty, she would of been thrilled not being chosen to go out into the unknown and stayed safely in the camp with many of their warriors here to protect them. Now she's one of the cats to go out and risk their lives to save the missing apprentices. What if we don't make it back though? Her thoughts swirled as she stumbled over to her mentor. "Dandelionfur... I don't know if I can do this," she almost whispered. "I'm not strong enough to take down a single enemy let alone whatever it is taking our friends."

StealthfireThe meeting went better than the deputy thought it would have. None of the cats seem to shout out in protest or give looks at them. Nightwing gave Sparrowstar a nod in respect and appraisal for the well handled clan meeting she did. "Would you like anything done before they head out tomorrow?" She asked as she came to her side. "I'm sure they'll need some traveling herbs. Should one of us lead them off so they're not completely alone?" She tried to give different suggestions in hopes to help ease the burden off her leader. It must be hard to send cats off into this place they had no clue about and just praying nothing bad will happen.

Dandelionfur - Camp - w/ @stitchlover20 's Cloudpaw, cowbird 's Snowdapple, Falconwing 's Eaglefrost Dandelionfur sat attentively as Sparrowstar began the clan meeting. She listened to her leader with hint of surprise as she explained her plan of sending a patrol across the thunderpath into the unknown. The warrior wasn't sure what to feel but she was at least glad to hear that some action was being taken for the disappearing apprentices. That put her at ease just enough to be caught off guard when her name was listed off to join the patrol. The white she-cat blinked and sat up a bit straighter. She had no desire for adventure but she did feel a faint twinge of pride for being amongst the few selected. She just wished that Cloudpaw hadn't also been selected.
The white warrior flickered her ears uneasily. Her apprentice had already been on edge within clan walls, she couldn't imagine that this news was sitting well with the young cat. Dandelionfur turned her head to glance towards the other warriors accompanying them. She spotted Eaglefrost nearby, just barely catching his glance before he looked away to find his apprentice. Dandelionfur took in a breath. Regardless of her concern for her apprentice, at least she found some peace of mind in the reliable warriors Sparrowstar had chosen that would be her comrades in this journey. Her amber gaze flickered onto Snowdapple as the warrior passed by to wish her good fortune. "Thank you, Snowdapple." she mumbled appreciatively with a respectful dip of her head.
She was just beginning to rise to her paws when she was joined by the very cat she had been planning to look for. Dandelionfur looked down at Cloudpaw as her apprentice stumbled up to her. The she-cat frowned with a softness in her gaze at Cloudpaw's words. Though Cloudpaw wasn't confident and Dandelionfur, herself, was concerned, Sparrowstar had already made the decision and she knew her apprentice had the potential to pull off the journey. "You can do it, Cloudpaw." she murmured, draping her tail over her apprentice's back in a comforting manner. "Sparrowstar wouldn't have chosen to let you go if she didn't think you weren't capable. Besides that, I don't expect you to take down any enemy. Your job on this mission is to help us find your denmates not fight."
She gave her a half hearted smile and sat up a little taller. "I'll be with you every step of the way. If anything becomes too dangerous, we won't proceed any further, I'm sure that's something we as a whole patrol can agree on. Our mission may be to find your denmates but we won't recklessly risk our safety to do so."

Snowdapple nodded and headed on towards the elder's den, her eyes settling on her father, Hootshade, who stayed crouched at the entrance of the his den. He was frail and trembling, yet his eyes were curious as he looked at her. "What do you think of Sparrowstar's decision? I wonder how long she has been brewing that up," the old cat mewed and his gaze found the Clan leader down at the meeting hollow.

•¤Eaglefrost¤• ~Skyblaze~ "Rainpaw" Eaglefrost called out, once he reached the edge of the gathered cats. Most were begining to disperse and he had begun to wonder if Rainpaw had even made it to the meeting. Suddenly a deep dark feeling filled his heart at the thought of his apprentices absence. Had Rainpaw become yet another victim to what ever creature it was that was preying on the clan cats. Heat beat pounding in his ears and breatb quickening, the seasoned tom for once began to feel panicked. "Rainpaw!", he called out once more. Stern and steady, not wanting to cause a panic in others if not necessarily.

Flickerpaw looked up as her sister sat beside her, and returned her greeting by pressing her muzzle to Ivypaw's shoulder. She grinned and flicked Ivypaw's nose with her tail. She'd been in the medicine den all morning, sorting herbs. It was likely Ivypaw just hadn't seen her hidden among the shadows of the den.
"Well, you found me," she purred. At Sparrowstar's word, Flickerpaw looked up and shifted her paws. The patrol was going across the Thunderpath - something that Flickerpaw had always been scared to even go near. Glancing at Stormbreak, the young medicine cat apprentice wondered if they should check everyone over before the patrol left, to make sure that everyone could handle the journey.

After the meeting, Badgerheart strove to avoid the din of voices buzzing around him, some concerned, some surprised, some excited. After all the waiting around, with a clear trail leading over the thunderpath, all the senior warrior wanted to do was finally leap into action. As the leader of the patrol, he was prepared to take every measure to ensure their success. So, he directed himself to the elder's den before beginning preparations with everyone else. Noticing Snowdapple, he nodded in greeting to her, and dipped his head in respect to Hootshade. "I'm sure you heard the news. f you have the time, I wanted to speak with you and Alderstripes about anything you might know about what lies beyond the thunderpath. Or," he added, knowing that answers to his former question were likely to be vague at best, "any advice you can give me on a journey so great as this one. I certainly can't remember a time like this in all of my moons." He tried to maintain a friendship with both of the clan's elders, as the oldest warrior, Badgerheart had spent much time fighting and hunting alongside them.

Sparrowstar / Nightwing @stitchlover20 : Camp Sparrowstar received Nightwing gladly, appreciative of her respectful nod. She was sure they both were thinking similarly, that the meeting itself went well so far, now they just needed to see the patrol off as best as they could and everything on their end of camp would be under control. The rest, would be in the paws of the patrol. "They'll have travelling herbs prepared for them, and we'll save prey this evening for them to eat right before they depart." Sparrowstar mused for awhile upon Nightwing's other offer, it was a good idea to accompany them, but she trusted Badgerheart, and wanted the clan to see that she had faith in the senior warrior to guard the patrol from the very moment they left camp. "I think we'd best allow Badgerheart to take care of them from the outset. It will show the rest of the clan that we have no worries sending them off with a careful plan arranged. If you could speak with Flickerpaw, maybe she can take care of the travelling herbs so Leafheart can have one less task to tend to." Sparrowstar blinked with gratitude to the black she-cat. "I'm especially thankful for your help in this time. It's challenges like this that made me glad to have chosen you as my deputy."

( Stealthfire- im thinking there can be like wolverines and lynxs in the woods? And im not sure if they know what twolegs are so...) Hootshade greeted his daughter as she licked his head. He opened his mouth to say something to her, when Badgerheart made his way over to the elder's den, dipping his head to the sitting cats. Hootshade was proud of the cat Badgerheart had become. He remembered when he became a warrior, bright-eyed and determined and ready to impress. Hootshade was thankful to have served alongside him and hoped the senior warrior would be lucky to enjoy retirement alongside him. He looked at Alderstripes with unease, however, when the senior warrior asked for their knowledge about the other side of the thunderpath. "Well, uh... its not the best place to be," he began his eyes now losing focus. "There are numbers of animals and beast there that you wouldnt imagine... cats as large as lions... dog-like animals with teeth strong enough to break bones... its a wonder how Twolegs live on the other side," he mewed distratedly, unaware he gave such vital information."

[Yup that's all fine, I think like the elders would know of legends or rumours at least, and since they know about twolegs with the thunderpath anyway it's reasonable for them to have heard rumours of the twolegs living over there!:) Badgerheart, unafraid and rather bold, listened patiently to Hootshade, though he disregarded much of what the old tom said. Badgerheart had been raised on elder stories that sounded much like this, with fearsome unimaginable beasts. Nevertheless, it was likely that there were predators on the other side, whether they were as mystical as Hootshade said or not. Badgerheart was fully prepared to act with relative caution, especially when guarding three apprentices along the way. "Yes, the twolegs..." He repeated. This was the sole bit of information that the brass tom took as truly fearful. No cat really knew where they came from, or where they dwelled, but since the thunderpath and their monsters seemed undaunted by the dark woods, Badgerheart believed it was possible for everyone's assumptions to be true: the twolegs existed over there, beyond BrightClan territory. "Whatever the dangers, we'll be as careful as we are when predators come onto our territory here."
Badgerheart looked with greater respect toward Hootshade, even though he remained daring about the dangers the elder spoke of. "I've never led a patrol with so much to loose," he admitted to his old friend. "How can I make sure we succeed- and keep everyone's faith?" He didn't like to show such vulnerability in front of Snowdapple, but the warrior was desperate for words of encouragement from her father.
