"So we can only pray to StarClan..." Oatkit repeated, Hootshade's answer putting her a little at ease. Alderstripes' positivity though solidified her back in a cheerier mood. "I'm glad you know everyone here is loyal. I'm going to be loyal as a warrior too. And I'll work so hard, you'll both see!" Oatkit rose to her paws then and pounced mischievously on Alderstripes' tail to prove her ability.
Sleekpaw / Snowdapple cowbird : Fresh-kill pile
Sleekpaw was at first frustrated by Snowdapple's unclear answer, but then he felt appreciative of her honesty in admitting how little anyone knew about their journey, even her. "I want him to see me become a warrior," he meowed. "But I also want to know what they'll find over there. Even if it is dangerous," he reasoned. Though it could be the end of some cats, Sleekpaw was eager to hear about the wonders that could be in store for their clan. If what they found in the dark woods was good, he could be in the next patrol to claim the territory for BrightClan.

Sparrowstar made quick work of their journey to the beginning of Granite Tumble. Soon, the leader had led to the bottom of their slope, where the thunderpath could be seen. She knew the patrol would have crossed it by now, and were likely not anywhere near that length of the thunderpath, but she still offered a prayer to StarClan for their safety, wishing she could see them trekking through the dark woods. She began the climb along the rocky outcroppings, tracing the border as it led upwards. "Let's stay alert for any scents coming from these crevices, now's about the time when predators will try to make their dens here for leafbare." She scented around them, and meowed more conversationally to the toms, "How have your hunting patrols been lately? Has the prey started to dwindle or does it still run well?"
