•¤Eaglefrost¤• brambleflight @stitchlover20 After the two she-cats hesitation and the energy that glowed between them Eaglefrost could tell that he might have accidentally interrupted a deeper conversation. Tail flicking apologetically, he noticed Dandelionfur push past their previous conversation and greet him in return. "I am well thank you. A little scratched up from the camp walls, but I will be fine." Giving his worst scratch a couple licks he looked to Cloudpaw who had also extended a greeting. "I've been doing my best to help reinforce the camp walls. There are a couple weak spots and now is not the time for us to have any weak spots. I should be finished by tomorrow, so everyone can feel a bit safer when they close their eyes." Smiling softly Eaglefrost knew that safety was everyone's worry right now, and he wanted to help ease that. Though he had some rough edges the tom deeply cared for his clanmates.

[Ah no that's so rough sorry to hear:( ] Sparrowstar / Nightwing stitch : Leader's Den
She shook her head with a small smile. "No, my old friend, you're just the doubt I need. You know as well as I that not all our clanmates will go along with this happily." With grave knowingness, she listened to the deputy. "I think it's important for Leafheart to stay here with us. And I fear Flickerpaw is too young to be leaving without her mentor beside her." She cast her gaze away for a moment. Of course, she had already thought over who would venture on this patrol in her imaginings. "We would instruct them to turn back if the danger is too great. Their main goal will be to find out what has happened to the apprentices, bringing them home if they can, or bringing us information for a larger rescue if they can't." With a heavy sigh, Sparrowstar continued on through the points she had arrived upon. "We can't spare too many warriors. I want to send Dandelionfur and Eaglefrost along with their apprentices, just in case the young ones know their denmates better than the warriors. Badgerheart can lead them, he's the one with most experience, and he's been driven practically mad at the loss of Icepaw."(Yeah, there's a lot of times I want to punch him XD) Nightwing nodded slowly at the information given to her and figured this is the only hope they had on finding the apprentices. She couldn't imagine how the warriors whose apprentices disappeared without a trace felt at the moment and knew she'd feel panicked if hers suddenly went as well. "I believe this is the right choice," she mewed with great earnest. "It's going to be tough having them gone for a day or more, but if we get information we can head towards the path that leads us to having them back safe." This slight hope brought a spark of determination in her eyes and she lashed her tail, hoping this can be done sooner than later. Here Stealth! In case you didn't see it before ^-^ )

Since you were early to join though do you want one of your characters to join the rescue patrol? As of now it's Badgerheart, Eaglefrost, Dandelionfur, Cloudpaw and Rainpaw.

Nutpelt & Oatkit / Snaketail brambleflight : Nursery
Though Snaketail tried to offer explanation for how difficult making progress on the tragedy was, Nutpelt was anything but soothed. She took another bite of rabbit, but chewed rapidly with noticeable anxiety. There were times when she was aware of how helpless she was with a kit to care for, but knowing that Snaketail stood between their small family and whatever danger had taken the apprentices put her at ease most times. "If Sparrowstar can take care of it within these next three moons, that's all I want," she said plainly. Nutpelt tried to push her worries from her immediate mind once more, but she couldn't help reminding her mate of her biggest fear. "Just as long as you don't leave us. Nothing's worth that." Although she respected Snaketail's oath to his clan, in Nutpelt's perspective, this was insignificant compared to her need for his support.
Oatkit's little snores had hushed, and she now blinked small yellow eyes at the glimmers of light filtering through the nursery walls. Finding herself alone in the den, she tottered out on lanky legs in search of her mother. To her delight, she saw instead first her father. The rambunctious she-kit scampered over to Snaketail. "Were you hunting?" she guessed from the scent of warm prey. "How did you catch it? Where did you go?"

Sparrowstar / Nightwing @stitchlover20 : Leader's Den
Sparrowstar showed visible comfort at her deputy's eventual approval of the plan. "I know you speak honestly with me," she meowed appreciatively. "Thank you for questioning me, StarClan knows I need it." Turning her head to gaze out at the clearing of camp, and the passing forms of warriors and apprentices alike, Nightwing's words made all the more sense. "Yes, it will be hard. And it's exactly the reason I don't want to send too many of our warriors. Besides, they'll travel much faster and more discretely in a small patrol." In the leader's mind, she tried to ignore the overwhelming fear of the unknown. Would she be the first leader to know what lay beyond the thunderpath, or would they never find out? "I had best make this announcement soon, if we're agreed. Every moment could make all the difference for our apprentices."

(A starter for anyone!)
Snowdapple padded into camp silently with a two mice clamped in her jaws. She had been out looking for easy prey- not because she was lazy or tired- never that. But she was taking care of her ailing father, Hootshade, who had been eating less and less in the last few months and Snowdapple refused to let him starve himself any further. She had to take a break though- she had been hunting since she woke up and her body was demanding a few moments to catch up.

Falconwing brambleflightThe conversation had lost the young apprentice's attention for a split second before her ears perked in curiosity. Her gaze wandered over to the walls of the camp to take note of anything that made their camp weak from the inside out. If they created stronger barriers on the inside it'll be harder for the enemy to come and take whoever they want. "Maybe we could put rocks in the walls to make it more sturdy?" Cloudpaw suggested shyly. "Or maybe if we found thorns, we could wind them up on the outside walls and they'll get hurt trying to push through?" She looked up at both the warriors to see if her idea had made sense or just sounded like another mouse brained idea by an unexperienced cat.

"I had best make this announcement soon, if we're agreed. Every moment could make all the difference for our apprentices." Nightwing had always respected Sparrowstar and when she announced that the black she-cat would be the next deputy blew her away. It had been a struggle juggling between the opinions of her leader, medicine cat, and the clan mates who looked up at them for guidance. "May StarClan help us in this decision and lead us to our fellow clan mates to safety," she mewed at last before stepping aside. "It's better to start the meeting now since all our cats are in the camp at the moment." She quickly scanned the area to make sure no one is about to leave on a patrol or on their own before they could start. They didn't need any of the warriors or apprentices shocked to see some of their clan missing without given an explanation on the idea.

Oakfur had took the time to check the perimeter of the camp to see if anything had broken in to steal their lost apprentices or a struggle if they were taken by force. His body tensed as he found nothing of the sorts and couldn't wrap his mind around where they could be. With a small hiss, he gave up and walked back into the center of the surroundings and watched some cats begin making the walls stronger.

"StarClan will watch over them, I'm sure of that." Sparrowstar had received nothing from their ancestors, and Leafheart hadn't yet alerted her of any message either. It worried the leader, but there was nothing she could do about that side of things except continue to follow the code and make the best decisions she could for her clan. "You're very right," Sparrowstar seconded as to the meeting, knowing Nightwing would be mindful of any patrols she had called. "I want them to leave tomorrow morning just before dawn."
Bringing herself once more to her paws, and giving her deputy a glance of appreciation before they parted, Sparrowstar directed herself through the clearing. With the camp being somewhat slanted on the large slope of hills that BrightClan territory rested upon, she took her steps up to the highest ground, where the dirt was slightly indented from generations of leaders standing sturdily to address the clan. Taking a deep breath, she yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"
