Oh Star, I was rereading wof from the beginning I saw something I forgot about dragon twins, twins are born from one big egg like peril and her brother were, so I don’t think Empyrean and Ethereal can be twins since they’re from two different eggs))

☀ Pyre ☀ sky kingdom | late morning | plague "I guess it is," Pyre responded offhandedly. Her name didn't have a big origin story around it- she'd just overheard a couple talking about dragonet names when they were flying over her cave and chose one that seemed to fit. Before that she'd never needed a name- she never lasted in a conversation long enough to introduce herself.
"So what brings you to this valley, Summit?" She asked, wrinkling her snout in embarrassment. Her small talk skills were less then satisfactory, she just hoped the other dragon wouldn't cringe too hard.
Huh? She paused mid thought. Since when do I care what another dragon thinks, its not like I'm going to run into him again. The thought brought with it a bout of sadness, much to her horror. She couldn't be this needy, right? The very first dragon to talk to her longer than thirty seconds and she was already considering him a friend.
Dangerous thinking- deadly thinking. For all she knew this 'Summit' character could be a spy for Queen Crimson. He might have an order to execute her, and it might fill his sick little heart with happiness to torture his victims by showing them compassion before the slaughter.
She forced a scowl onto her face. I am brave. I am scary. He couldn't take me. He couldn't kill me.... right?

<]Summit[>Summit hunched his shoulders and seemed to retreat into himself. Why all the questions? He looked Pyre over warily. Was this a test? Could it be some scheme to draw him out of hiding? He wouldn't go back to the palace,he couldn't not after all that had happened.Queen Crimson would have to do better than a puny firescales to get him back into royal life. "Oh,just hunting." He replied shortly, picking at the bones of the stag that still laid at his feet.Despite his growing suspicions of sudden appearance of a firescales in his neck of the woods,he still couldn't help but be fascinated by Pyre. A real firescales, after so long,a true rarity. I wonder what the limits of her flames are,how much can they burn through at once? Is it be possible for her to burn through stone? As the thoughts wound through his whirring brain,he paused at the sudden scowl that graced the dragonets face. What? Did he say something wrong? Wait, why should he care if he hurt a spy's feelings? He shook his head. No,nothing is wrong, keep calm, you're smarter than this, why would she be mad if she isn't a spy. He scratched at his neck thoughtfully as he turned it over in his head as he calmly observed Pyre some more.Perhaps... Scared? That would make sense, based on how most SkyWings treated firescales, for moons sake, parents threw their own eggs off cliffs if they knew they would hatch with too much fire."Um... I won't hurt you,if that's what you're scared of. If im honest,I haven't been around many dragons myself lately...other dragons just don't understand..." There, that was empathetic, right? Summit sighed,he really was out of touch with dragons. thought it'd be funny if Summit thought she was a spy as well, wooh paranoia)

Phoenix Mid-morning✺ SkyWing Territory✺ Near the Barracks ⥈⥈⥈
The music continued for a time, drifting and echoing in the cave with a reverent note. Phoenix’s eyes half-closed and she lowered her head, leaning into the music almost instinctively. Her wings opened slightly, as if she were preparing to take flight; as the notes soared into a dramatic flair, she swore she could feel the wind swelling beneath her wings, holding her aloft on the breeze. Rather suddenly, however, the illusion was shattered as the SkyWing playing the note struck a wrong note, sending a shiver running down Phoenix’s scales. She suppressed a shudder, opening her eyes to find the other SkyWing staring at her with a stunned, slightly horrified expression on his face as he clutched his instrument to his chest protectively. Clearly he was surprised to see her, though Phoenix could guess why. One didn’t hide away in such a secluded place unless they had a reason to.
Phoenix sank into a slight bow, spreading and mantling her wings. “Phoenix,” she told him, voice lilting with a jovial air. In a flash she’d straightened her stance and sat down, wrapping her tail halfway around her body. “Who are you?” she queried, although there was no hostility in her tone – simple curiosity. If he wasn’t willing to give that information, then she’d respect that decision. She nodded to the lyre he was clutching. “You’ve got quite the talent for that.” There was an unspoken question: if you’re so good, why play all alone, all the way out here? She’d didn’t voice it, though. Better to put him at ease; he looked as if he was prepared to run from the cave as if fire was nipping at his heels.
The cave was rather dim with the one candle, and in the shadows, it seemed that Phoenix’s scales were even darker, marring the golden scales that ran along her spine and her underbelly. It gave her a more menacing look, although her golden eyes seemed to gleam in the firelight. The pale coloring of her wings seemed almost translucent. “Are you an artist? I am, too, although I’m better at working metal than I am at paints or instruments.”

Sunstalker Mid-morning✺ Sanctuary✺ Marketplace ⥈⥈⥈
The din of the market closed around Sunstalker, drawing him into the excitement of the crowd. Sopmewhere down the line, there was a dragon playing some kind of stringed instrument; a lute, if Sunstalker’s eyes were correct. The tune was merry and light, with a swift pace that seemed to mirror the energy of the market. Next to the lute player was someone keeping the beat on a set of drums. All around him, he heard the chatter of different conversations; what the weather was like, what the upcoming season would bring, new products of the market, new faces visiting Sanctuary, what the different kingdoms were up to, and even a fair bit about that shadowy threat that no one seemed to be able to identify. For his own sake, Sunstalker wasn’t certain he believed in this shadow. He’d seen neither hide nor hair of any sort of threat. Sanctuary continued on much the same as it always had, and whatever dangers that nipped at the heels of the seven dragon kingdoms either didn’t exist or didn’t have Sanctuary in its sights.
He wove through the market, rather aimless; occasionally something would catch his eye and he’d wander over to inspect it, but he’d made no purchases yet that day. He wasn’t looking for anything in particular, and didn’t really need anything, so his time in the market was more as a way to entertain himself than anything else. Most of Sunstalker’s days were spent in the inns of Sanctuary, telling and weaving tales for all of those who either called Sanctuary home or were simply passing through. That was Sunstalker’s talent – a bard of sorts, one who could practically bring a story to reality. He breathed life into history and old tales, made legends of great heroes and villains seem as real as the talons that lined a dragon’s feet. Perhaps he’d spend some time in the inn later, but his thoughts were interrupted when the corner of his eye caught movement.
A SandWing was waving at him, clearly trying to catch his attention. “Sir!” the SandWing called. Sunstalker peered at him through a pair of pale violent eyes. There was something about this SandWing that didn’t fit the persona he was clearly trying to portray, but Sunstalker’s interest had been piqued and so he headed over, weaving through a few other dragons to reach the SandWing. “I have something that might just catch your eye!”
“Indeed?” Sunstalker replied. “Well, let’s see it, then, shall we?”

.^Cloudburst^.
Blinking a few times to make sure this was happening and he wasn't dreaming,Cloudburst finally began to relax as Phoenix spoke. It seemed things would be fine, she didn't seem so bad,but he still couldn't help but still feel anxious that his parents would find out somehow. Stop worrying all the time Cloudburst, you'll scare her off. Stopping himself from frowning again,he instead pulled his mouth back in what he hoped was a smile, but probably seemed more like a grimace.
"Im Cloudburst." Whoops, was that a mistake? Should he have given his real name.Stop it Cloudburst, its fine. "Thank...thank you for the kind words, but Im not that good..." Probably would be better if I didn't have to sneak practice in a dark, dingy cave. This time he did frown for real, but more at himself than Phoenix. Stupid.
"I guess you could say that,I try at least....to be an artist that is." Cloudburst nodded, but couldn't help but feel nervous. She was an artist, probably better than his mediocre attempts at art as well. Metal...was she a blacksmith then? He absentmindedly tugged at the golden ring in his nose, suddenly embarrassed that someone who worked with metal would see his amateurish work. "Er...ahem,I mean...Are you a blacksmith then?Or is it more of a hobby,or both?"He asked, curious to hear more from a fellow artist.

Phoenix Mid-morning✺ SkyWing Territory ✺ Near the Barracks ⥈⥈⥈
Cloudburst – that was the dragon’s name. It was fitting in a way; his scales did feature a rather attractive burst of gold across his form. Despite the fact that he’d given her his name – and, judging by his still nervous demeanor, it was his real name – he was still unsettled. Phoenix wasn’t sure why, considering she’d been doing her best to be as non-threatening as possible. Perhaps it was something else that was upsetting him. Cloudburst thanked her for the compliment by tried to deflect it, claiming he wasn’t that great of a lyre player. Phoenix’s eyes narrowed slightly and she ruffled her wings at that, but she did not say anything, and instead inclined her head to the side.
When she mentioned that she worked with metal rather than instruments, Cloudburst tugged at the golden ring that was situated in his nose, piercing the bridge of cartilage between his nostrils. Many dragons had such nose rings, but Phoenix did not. Rather, she had bands of metal clamped around her horns, evenly spaced apart. They weren’t attached permanently to her horns, as she had a habit of swapping out the rings with others of different metals and decorated with different jewels. The gold band that Cloudburst wore was nicely crafted, although is was somewhat amateurish. Well, if his interest in instruments didn’t pan out, he may have a future as a metal worker. The gold band was neat and well-crafted. “Are you a blacksmith, then?” Cloudburst asked. “Or is it more of a hobby, or both?”
Phoenix inclined her head at that. “A bit of both, I suppose,” she replied. “Whenever the army needs something they usually come to me, although I enjoy making art more than anything.” She tilted her head forward, pointing at the bands along her horns. “Things like these I enjoy crafting. Metal can be a fickle medium, but I enjoy working it with. To get the metal to shape the way I want it to is rather satisfying.”
