//okay 10/10 idea for V to live stream everything on his insta story, also thanks for the well wishes guys:)) feeling much better
//also what do you guys think about a small hunter attack in the city to get everyone to squad up?
Christina relaxed her shoulders and let out a long sigh. She stared at the floor for a moment, gracious that she was with someone who managed to stay so calm and composed all the time, unlike herself. She gave a slow nod and then made quick eye contact with Avani. "Yeah, they're right, there's nothing we can do right this minute, let's just go find the others and wait until morning," she mumbled, slowly starting to walk back out, the way they came in. As Christina pressed the button for the elevator to go down, she made a mildy disgusted face. Salt and vinegar, but the only person here is Avani and she has a smile on her face. Christina quickly narrowed her eyes and looked around, a bit paranoid. Unless... She saw the two elders leave the room, locking the door and they were about to about to head down in the direction of the two girls when they quickly started walking in the opposite direction. If that was them, then wouldn't they have been scared earlier? Unless someone else is here.

(Oh an attack could be really fun. It would also give a chance for the characters to use their powers.)
The angel watched Christina relax with a friendly smile. That was good. The reaper seemed stressed out and needed a break. Avani was glad they could rest for the night, especially after such a long day. The young woman nodded in agreement. It would be good to locate the others before the night was up. As the reaper reached to close the elevator, Avani noticed the elders. She offered a smile, but they didn't return it. Instead they turned and headed in the opposite direction. The angel frowned. What was that about? She glanced towards Christina who noticed their odd behavior as well. "That was weird," the angel mumbled. She didn't dwell on it for too long. There was likely a logical explanation for the event. It was late and perhaps they didn't want to get sucked into another conversation with the pair. The explanation didn't sit well with Avani, but she didn't overthink it. They had other things to attend to.
"So, where are you going to stay for the night?" Avani asked curiously, turning towards Christina. "I know you said we earlier, but I don't want to be a bother. If you want to be alone I can find somewhere to stay for tonight." Although the reaper seemed to have a plan in mind, Avani didn't want to assume anything. If Christina wanted to be alone, the angel would figure something out. There were plenty of hotels in the area and in the other districts. It wouldn't be diffcult to find a comfortable place to stay.

//heck yeah
Christina shook off the bad taste in her mouth and had been staring at the floor while Avani talked, lightly brushing her shoe against the floor. The ding of the elevator echoed through the hall and Christina looked up, towards the metal doors, waiting for them to open, it was then that Christina saw the reflection of someone rush up behind them and immediately got a very bad taste in her mouth. "I don't think we're alone!" She exclaimed, whipping around and shifting to face two Hunters, one with a pistol and the other with a very dark gray-colored sword. That's iron, no cobalt, no glasses, okay, I got this, I got this, not wasting time again. Christina shifted into reaper form and her eyes quickly went white and she brought her hands up and in front of them, a ten-foot bloody clown rose out of the shadows along with a large swarm of locus that flew towards the two Hunters. One started firing bullets at the illusions while the other started screaming and ran in the other direction.

"What do you-" Avani was cut off as something appeared in the reflection of the metal doors. Like Christina before her, the angel spun around. She paled. One of them had an iron sword. How did Hunters get in unnoitced? How did neither of them notice the pair? Avani didn't have time to worry about that. Instead she focused on her halo and summoned her shield. It was rounded and a yellow-gold. It had a slight glow to it and felt solid to the touch. She held it defensively out in front of her just as Christina shifted beside her. She paused and watched on in awe. She had never seen anything like it before. With a quick motion, the reaper summoned a clown and an insect swarm towards the pair. The one with the iron sword fled as the other began to shoot wildly at the illusions. Shield still at her side, Avani threw out her hands and gave a sudden flash of light. The Hunter stopped shooting and stumbled awkwardly as he shielded his eyes. Without waiting for the man to regain his footing, the angel dashed forward and smacked him with her shield. The Hunter stumbled awkwardly for a moment before falling to the ground.
Avani sighed in relief and dismissed the round shield in a puff of misty yellow light. It lingered in the air for a moment before dissipating entierly. Every angel, as far as she knew, could summon a shield and a weapon of some kind. Very few could do both at the same time. It was a diffcult skill to learn and was rather draining. With the situation temporarily safe, Avani turned towards Christina. Her blue-gray eyes were full of concern. "Are you okay?" She quickly asked. For a moment Avani turned her attention towards the Hunter.
"How did you get in here?" She asked calmly.
(I can go back and change it, but I had an idea for angels and I ran with it.)

//heck no, it's awesome!!!!!!!
Christina gave a nod to Avani as her eyes stopped glowing white, she had never seen an angel in combat before and was very impressed, able to knock out a hunter without a single injury. Better than I did last time. She walked up next to the angel, towards the Hunter and stared at him. He didn't look like he was able to stand up, but she had no remorse, all of these humans were killers and they deserved much worse in Christina's mind. The Hunter gave a small smirk as blood started falling out of his nose. "Why don't you check outside?" He coughed up. Christina watched him continue coughing on the marble floor and then hurried towards the window. She moved the blinds slightly and peered out. All around the grounds of the town hall, were hunters with various weapons attacking monsters. Christina whipped around and ran over to the staircase in the center of the building. "We have to help them, I don't know if there's a way we can contact the others, but we need more help." She replied as a dual-bladed sword appeared in her hand from the shadows around her.

The moment the she-wolf showed her teeth, Zephyr stopped moving toward her and even conceded a step back. Not out of fear or nerves; he just had no interest in sparking a fight. It was quickly apparent that she wasn't looking for one either, for after a moment, she relaxed slightly and came toward him.
Zephyr stayed still as she walked right up to him. He did not submit under her dominance, but neither did he try to challenge it. He just watched her, with a hint of amusement, as she brushed her muzzle against his. And as she breathed in his scent, he did the same with her.
He did indeed smell,or perhaps sensed, the crystal shed carried, so similar to his own. And if he smelled her crystal, then she could no doubt scent his. He could also smell traces of the places she had been, the moss and grass she had rested among, the rivers she had drunk from. None of it was particularly familiar.
When she pulled back, Zephyr blinked, his ears flicking as he became aware of the stares, the whispered words of those around them. He turned to a group of them and bared his teeth in idle threat. They rapidly backed off.
Then the she-wolf was brushing past him, much closer than was really necessary. Zephyr didn't mind, but he found it curious. He turned around and watched her weave expertly through the crowd, to stop by Kai. His gaze sharpened slightly, and he started trotting briskly toward them, but she just sniffed his friend and moved on.
Kai was staring after her, a little awestruck, when Zephyr arrived at his side. "Damn, she's big. Or are you small?" He looked Zephyr up and down, and his expression was a bit startled as he realized Zephyr was in no way small at the moment.
Within a beat, Zephyr was suddenly standing beside Kai as a human once more, his hands in his pockets as he continued to watch the she-wolf. He only caught glimpses of her, what with the distance and the crowd blocking his view, but he wanted to know where she headed, in case he needed to find her again later.

//oh yeah for sure! anything they're not weak to is like a normal injury, and will heal quickly, but is not whatsoever fatal.
if like a werewolf gets hit by a silver bullet then it really weakens them and that is the only thing that can kill them

Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland
✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
The Shapeshifters scent clung to Clarisse’s fur, overpowering in that special shifter way. She had encountered a few in her travels and she noticed that all of them had a unique funk about them. She wondered if it was because of the many different forms that they took, melding together into one weird concoction. Nevertheless, she gulped it in through her nose, memorizing and studying it for later use. It was a trick she had learned years ago: the old brush and go. If she had been in her human form she would have smiled. The werewolf had smelled his confusion as she had brushed against him.
And she was certain that the male and the boy were tracking her through the crowd, large and out of place among two legged forms. Clarisse stole a glance back, but couldn’t spot them in the crowd. It was becoming thicker and thicker. Confused looks and angry whispers caused her ears to flatten. She sensed it before the others.
Blood.
Clarisse’s hackles rose and she would have shifted back to warn her crowd. Even nude she would have done it -
The screams were enough warning it seemed. Instantly the crowd around her turned into a mob and she yipped as a stampede pushed against her. Clarisse began to make her away back the way she came, pack instinct drawing her back to the shifter and the boy even though she didn’t understand the danger.
She growled and bared her teeth against the scared citizens, but they continued to push, fleeing from something she couldn’t see or hear or smell. All she smelled was panic and fear. It wasn’t until a shooting pain through her ear that she realized he crowd was being attacked.
Clarisse howled in pain, the silver bullet that blew through her ear unspeakable. In a moment of unbridled fear, she realized that if the bullet had been even three inches lower, it would have gone straight through her head. And it didn’t occur to her to shift in the panic and pain. She didn’t even know if she could given the way her wound throbbed and sizzled.
She ducked down and ran to find the shifter.

I completely understand. My friend read one of my short stories that I’ve been working on lately and she asked me if I was ok because the main character was so beat up. XD It’s just something that writers do I think. If you’re stuck on a scene, not sure how to precede? Pain. If there was an exceptionally happy scene, what will the next scene be? Pain. XD Glad to know I’m not alone in it!)

Zephyr noticed the change in the air before Kai.
The younger Shifter was walking beside him, talking animatedly about wolves and big cats, and how the cats were superior in a fight. Zephyr had been listening with an indulgent smile, not willing to agree or disagree with his friend's claim. Because in a fight of wolf vs. big cat, the wolf probably would lose — if it fought alone. But wolves were pack animals. They never fought alone.
The thought had barely crossed his mind when he felt it. The change, in the air, the people. He did not have the heightened senses of a Werewolf or Vampire, not in this form, but Zephyr's instincts were razor sharp, and he knew something was wrong before he saw the people around him start running. Before they started screaming.
Then he saw the female Werewolf ahead again. She was running back toward them, fear and panic surrounding her. And — That was blood on her ear, dripping down her cheek. Zephyr looked past her, frantically searching, scanning...
There. Two Hunters, pushing and shoving through the crowd as they chased the Werewolf. They would occasionally shoot at other monsters, but they weren't Werewolves, so while the silver bullets caused more screams and pain, it did not do much to slow them down as they fled.
"Kai, stay here," Zephyr said, already shoving through the crowd. He went about two steps before a frustrated growl escaped him and he gave up trying to get to the Werewolf on foot. He shifted, taking to the skies as a raven. He went up, up, up...
Then plummeted straight down toward the Hunters.
He shifted when he was mere feet above them and came down with a snarl, his wolf's teeth already flashing and snapping. One Hunter screamed, his arm broken by Zephyr's powerful jaws. The other leaped back with a shout and fired his gun.
The bullet hit Zephyr's flank. He yelped, but didn't hesitate as he whipped around and lunged. The Hunter went down under his weight and Zephyr slammed the human's head into the sidewalk. He went limp, unconscious or dead — Zephyr didn't know or care. He spun back toward the first Hunter, who was cradling his broken arm against his chest, his good hand raised and aiming a gun right at Zephyr.

(Yay that's good.)
Avani glanced between the man and the window. After a moment of hesitation she headed towards it and gazed out to the grounds below. Hunters were swarming the Town Hall. "How did you get into the city? How has no one stopped your forces?" Avani was growing increasingly worried as she watched the carnage below. People wer being cut down as they tried to run for their lives. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment. Avani was no warrior. Sure she had been trained in the art of fighting, but she had never really needed to use those skills before. Besides that, she wasn'y sure if she could kill someone. She snapped her eyes open as Christina spoke. She was right, they had to help. Giving a final glance towards the human, the angel ran towards the grand staircase and peered below. In the main lobby, Hunters were entering the building.
"You're right, we need a way to contact everyone else. Unfortunately I'm not sure we can manage it right now." She paused as Hunters continued to swarm the building. "Do you think there's something here they want? Why do they seem to be interested in the Town Hall?" The angel wondered aloud. No, they would have to worry about that later. Avani focused on the chaos below. Drawing in a deep breath, she jumped down leaving Chrisrina behind her. As she neared the floor, the young woman flared out her wings and kneed a man in the face. He groaned and stumbled back, clutching his face. As she landed, Avani gave off a blinding flash of light and knocked a few more people to the ground. She then summoned her sword. Like the shield before it had a faint glow to it only it was light blue. She made eye contact with one of the Hunters. She was wielding a sword and had found the gel a suitable target.
As the angel began to engage in combat with the woman, she noticed others fighting aganist the humans. Spells were blasting aganist the attackers by the desk guy while an elemental used water-based abilities to take out their attackers. It was all so impressive. In her moment of distraction, Avani hadn't noticed the sword-wielding woman approch. The iron blade whizzed past her as she managed to dodge it. The young woman swung her sword towards the Hunter who deflected the blow with her own blade. The metal clanged off Avani's weapon as the pair fought. For a few minutes the pair swung their weapons at each other, almost equally matched. As the Hunter swung her sword forward, Avani dodged it only to be thrown off balance. As she lost her footing, the angel awkwardly stumbled about for a moment. The Hunter saw her chance and thrust her sword forward. It got the angel in the shoulder.
The first thing Avani noticed was the burning. It was a sensation like she never felt it before. She had never touched iron or really been around the material. Of course she expected it to hurt, but she didn't realize the pain she would be in. It was almost agonizing. The next thing she noticed was the inability for the wound to heal. That was something else she knew to expect as it had been taught to all angels early on. But seeing it now before her was rather chilling. Blood oozed from the fresh wound, causing the angel to grimace slightly. As Avani became distracted with the injury, the Hunter smirked. She raised her sword above her head, ready to kill the young woman. Seeing a chance for safety, the angel lurched towards the woman and elbowed her in the stomach. She knocked the wind out of her and watched as she collapsed on the floor gasping for air. Avani managed to get up and gripped her shoulder with her free hand. The wound still burned. As she left her fallen opponate, the angel heard one of the Hunters speak.
"We need iron!" He yelled, gesterig towards the angel. Avani's eyes widened as she gripped her sword. Now she was in trouble.

Clarisse Alinsky “The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.” - J M Wonderland
✶ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ✶
Ears back and legs pumping, Clarisse sprang through the rapidly thinning crowd. Some, werewolves in human form and wholly unprepared, went down with the spray of the bullets, crying out in pain. She tuned them out, flattening her ears completely. The bullets would kill her too if they struck true.
She didn’t understand how she made it back, but relief crashed over her in a wave at the sight of a rising raven and then the presence of fur and sinew behind her. The sound of bone crushing and muscles ripping was enough to bring her out of her state of panic.
The first hunter was disarmed in a matter of heartbeats, the shifter doing the same to the second hunter. She whipped around to see the murderous eyes of the first train on the shifter, aiming for a head shot. Maybe he didn’t know that the male wasn’t a werewolf. It wasn’t him he should be shooting at.
It was her.
With a spring of her powerful legs, she went sailing over the back of the male wolf and straight into the path of the hunter. Her jaws closing around his head was the last thing the man saw. She shook him once for good measure, throwing him far and away. Her maw dripped his gore when she turned to check on the male.
Honeyed eyes checked for any severe wounds, but they were already healing. She paused for a moment and blinked her thanks before lightly bodychecking him as if to say ‘let’s go get some more.’

Zephyr snarled at the Hunter, but the human just smiled cruelly, finger squeezing the trigger —
And then the Werewolf was launching herself over Zephyr and onto the Hunter. He didn't even have the chance to scream before he was dead, his head —
Zephyr looked away quickly, a shudder going through his body. He forced his thoughts away from the dead Hunters, before he lost control of his shift and started puking his guts up. He gave himself a fierce shake, then finally dared to meet the Werewolf's gaze.
He huffed softly at her — his version of "you're welcome" — and growled his agreement. But first... He turned and trotted back to where he had left Kai. The kid was wide-eyed but unharmed as he looked from Zephyr to the Werewolf. "That — that —" he tried to say, but he didn't seem capable of forming more words at the moment.
Zephyr saved him from more embarrassment by shifting and placing a hand over the kid's mouth. "Rekax," he said. "Deep breaths." When Kai obeyed, he continued, "I want you to get out of here. Take to the sky and get as far away as possible. Find somewhere safe and hole up for a while. Okay?"
Kai looked torn. "What about you?" he asked in a quiet voice.
Zephyr smiled with more zeal and fierceness than he felt. "I had some friends I need to find. And hunting to do. I'll be fine, I promise. I'll find you when it's safe. Go."
Kai hesitated another moment, then nodded. A blink, and then he was a peregrine falcon, flapping upward swiftly. Zephyr watched him until he was just a speck high in the sky before turning back to the Werewolf.
"The other crystal-holders are at Town Hall," he told her. "We should start by making our way that way. Alright?" He wasn't sure why, but he had a feeling they were needed there more than here.

Christina jumped down the stairs into the center of the first floor, sword in hand as she landed in a kneeling position and glanced around, trying to take in the situation. Avani was currently fighting a Hunter and there were two coming towards Christina from the main doors. Okay, okay, weapons, we have gray, silver, dark gray, no blue still. Alright, you got this. She stood up and ran towards the Hunters, one had a large silver-colored ax and the other had machine gun. Christina ran towards them, slashing more towards their hands to get rid of their weapons. Gun first, then ax. The first Hunter started shooting at both girls, but Christina managed to deflect most of the bullets with her sword, she didn't know how to tell the difference between the metals and knew angels and iron didn't go well together. She yelled out a few choice words in pain when a bullet hit her in the side, but it was nothing compared to the cobalt one she was hit with yesterday. She managed to retaliate and ram her sword through his hand, and push the Hunter into the wall. The second Hunter ran at Christina and she quickly dropped the sword and ran towards the Hunter, sliding through his legs right before he swung his ax and it ended up slicing open the marble floors. She stood up and held her hands out and watched as the shadows around the man started to wrap around his limbs and drag him down towards the floor. Christina waved her arm and the shadows sliced back right through the ax, cutting it in two. Christina ran over towards Avani and could see that she was in pain and heard the Hunters calling for needing more iron. Why weren't they calling for cobalt too? Unless they've got it somewhere else...Then the thought crossed Christina's mind of Hunters ambushing the Midnight District and she quickly shook the thought away. "We need to get outside." Christina blurted out, more Hunters were starting to run into the building and they were quickly becoming outnumbered. She turned towards the windows and made a pushing motion and the shadows around them quickly moved forward and took a few of the the windows and enough of the walls for them to make their own exit.

Avani nodded then turned towards the other two in the lobby. Her shoulder still blazed with pain, but she ignored it. "We need to escape! Come on!" She called to the pair. Despite the chaos in the room, both seemed to have heard her as they abandoned their current battles and rushed towards the newly made opening. It was clear it was a losing battle. There were too many Hunters overwhelming the building. As both elemental and wizard joined her, the angel pushed them ahead through the opening. A few of the humans still shot at them as they made their escape. They actually didn't seem too concerned with the small group leaving. It surprised Avani, but she didn't dwell on it. There were still some outside. The angel carefully watched the area around them. They escaped the swarm of the building, but they weren't safe yet. As they headed out into the city, a sharp wave of fear pulsed through her.
"What about the elders and whoever else is trapped inside?" She asked with worry. She glanced between the other three. They had to go back. There were still people on there who needed their help. Avani noticed the wizard's gazed growing dark.
"We just have to hope they'll be okay."
"Surly there's something we can do? We can't just leave them inside to get ambushed by the Hunters," she pointed out.
"Look, we can't save everyone. Right now we just have to focus on saving ourselves. We're alive right now and that's what currenyl matters," the man harshly replied. Avani sighed, guilt nipping at her chest. She knew he was right, but also felt like they had to do something. The group moved on. Fighting every instinct she had to go back for whoever was left, she reluctantly followed them.

//I am likewise making a leap in time so that you guys can join in on the action~ I'd imagine that we'll be more than halfway to the Town Hall so that everyone can kind of meet in the middle a la the first Avengers movie-
//No one stopped me, so. My penance...
-
Veive was a bit put-out - though he tried not to let it show - that Alex had left so soon after they'd met, saying that he was going to retrieve some supplies from his nearby vacation home and bring them a mode of transportation while he was at it. The elemental would have liked to offer his own, but he has never really had to transport more than one other- live- person at a time before, and vampire speed beat him in terms of continuous long-distance travel. All that was left to do was to wait- well, not really. But his new companion seemed content with it, and so too must he be. The poor wizard's leg had been bouncing nervously until she was able to become immersed enough in her reading to more-or-less tune out his presence. He had a feeling that silence made her about as uncomfortable as she found solace in it. A pity, as he had a wealth of things he'd like to speak about. Does she know why she might have been chosen? Where did she grow up? Is her cloak enchanted? How does she feel about the prophecy? Is she reading for fun, or is she doing research in light of recent discoveries? How familiar is she with Miss Singh, who had greeted her so warmly before?-
Though not exactly known for patience, Veive could be. Likewise though he isn't known for much 'tact', he can register that it's normal for one to feel out of depth and overwhelmed when faced with something like. This. Whatever 'this' is, it's possibly something that will take over all of their lives for an undetermined length of time. So, he can understand Lilah's reticence, and the fact that she may feel lumped together with a bunch of strangers- not for long, if he has anything to say about it- With the exception of a freshly made cup of tea and offering up the most comfortable chair in the store, Veive left her alone. But not so alone as to be obvious- he didn't want to make her feel awkward either- so he remained within view in a relaxed position, legs crossed over the arm of a faded chartreuse monstrosity while his back rested against the opposite arm. Another book- 101 Positively Wicked Recipes, apparently- lay open in his lap though he divided his time between skimming recipes and trawling the web on his phone. He kept up a steady, low lyrical hum that ventured into higher registers whenever he found something that amused him, nose wrinkling as he tried not to break the relative silence with his disruptively loud laughs.
And so the minutes trickled past until their peace was broken by the purr of an engine and headlights glancing off the store windows. Veive tried not to smile when Lilah hastily began gathering her things as if she'd been ready to jump at the first sign of her friend's return. Guilt at not truly succeeding in making her comfortable shadowed his amusement, though he couldn't help finding her reaction endearing. In his busy, glamorously social life, Veive didn't come across many people who didn't find joy in interacting with others as much as he. How refreshing~
He made his goodbyes to Miss Singh and Ylil, promising to remain a loyal patron and sign a deal with the business-minded Wizard if ever he decided to write a book on his experiences, before making his final exit- Well, not exactly the last time he'll exit somewhere or something- he certainly hopes not!- but it does feel rather poetic to take this first step to the rest of his journey. Though he's technically taken more than one first step with all of the stops he's made along the way...But this is his first step in the adventure sense! He's going somewhere important with important people.
Though he had been staring absently at his shadow while the circulatory thoughts made their rounds, Veive's mind managed to snag on the word 'people' and drag the present back into focus. Lilah had paused rather conspicuously, staring at the beautiful car in something like awe before another expression flitted across her face. Veive allowed his own gaze to take it in with an appreciative hum, stepping forward to speak to Alex when Lilah beat him to it, though she's obviously addressing him at this point- they must not have been friends long if she isn't accustomed to what is likely Alex's chosen mode of transportation. Hm. Veive stared longingly at the front seat for a bit- it isn't like he's never driven such a car before, but he just really likes them and the vampire's confident smirk implies that he likes to go Fast. But Veive would feel it impolite to impose himself when he really is just a stranger- future friend but not quite- so he waves Lilah toward the front seat with a wink. "Next time~"
He slid into the back with a little bounce and leaned forward a bit to meet Alex's ruby gaze in the mirror with a bright smile. "Hello again~ I see you've changed? I love your coat!" - - Veive isn't sure if they feel more or less uncomfortable when there's a semi-plausible reason not to interact, though it's a bit of a struggle on his part. He has a certain quota of respectable silence that varies depending on the situation, and he's very close to filling it. 'Don't distract the driver, at least.' Not that Veive actually follows many driving safety rules himself, but he doesn't want to overstep any boundaries. Well, until he does.
As fond as he is of modern vehicles and Going Fast, as an elemental, Veive tends to get very claustrophobic and doesn't actually do well with many aspects of modern technology. Bar advances such as Instagram and the like- He can only drive motorcycles and roofless cars that allow him to 'feel' the sky. Up to a certain point, he'd managed to make do with a cracked window that gradually went lower as time went by. Not ten minutes later, however, he's almost grateful for the spike in air pressure that filters in through his makeshift lifeline. "What's tha- aish!" Having long removed his seatbelt, Veive instinctively moves to stand and hits his head on the roof. He fumbles a bit, attempting to rub his head and lower his window completely simultaneously. "Ah- I think an air elemental is being targeted nearby, they've-"
Veive's words are quickly lost as soon as they turn onto a main street. They're greeted by chaos as Hunters brandishing weapons move in coordinated attacks against unsuspecting citizens who are doing rather poorly despite attempts at retaliation. It isn't just the sheer numbers that are putting them at a disadvantage, this was clearly a well-planned ambush. How else could so many humans hope to infiltrate such a densely populated city..? How else... For a moment, Veive loses more than just his words, fingers tightening around the headrest in front of him as he nearly sags against it- before he manages to gather the wherewithal to right himself. An exhale hisses out through his teeth; his whole body feels like it's on pins and needles. "I- we- I think-" Aah he can't do nothing- even though law enforcement is beginning to trickle in- it isn't enough. There's something about that too..!
He isn't aware of when, exactly, he even made a move to get out, but Veive is suddenly on the street with the car door open beside him. There are screams and shouts in the background so he has to lean forward to make his voice heard. Despite the unconscious clenching of a fist- halfway hidden behind the fold of his coat- Veive's voice remains steady and lyrical. "No matter what, we should stay together, okay~?"

(I have a question about weaknesses, specifically about the metals. Thanks Mistborn Though it could apply elsewhere. Would alloys of gold/iron/silver/etc. cause damage to creatures weak aganist it? Like electrum is a naturally occurring alloy of gold and steel is made from a process of combining iron and carbon. Would those have similar but weaker effects aganist the various creatures? Or because it's a different material would it do nothing?)

{ Definitely not alone! That all makes sense. It increases empathy with the character and I think it's also somehow cathartic. Maybe because it provides a chance to subconsciously reconcile one's own pain? } Perhaps! Sometimes I think that sometimes we as humans like to explore things that we know we would not encounter. It comes out in writing quite often and pain, especially intense pain, shows up the most.)
