rockydublin nice! i love the idea of crossing a frozen lake or pond as a coming of age ceremony, like maybe transitioning from apprentice to warrior? i feel like these cats are more tribal almost in nature? actually, i have a few ideas inspired from Brother Bear that maybe we can implement?
after crossing a frozen body of water, you get an ice carved symbol or totem based on your personality and what you've accomplished? also, when kits are made into apprentices maybe they have to travel with the clan to Sky Peak and there's a cave near the top/bottom where they must use some sort of berry juice or something to put their paw prints up on the wall of the cave?
also, rocky, i love the wedding idea, it seems really sweet! <3 the new kits tradition could be cool, maybe they have to present gifts to the leader, deputy, and medicine cat and the other cats can give them the parents gifts instead, like feathers or something to line the nests?

Brother Bear is an awesome movie and i feel like some of their tribal ceremonies and traditions would fit AuroraClan really well ~
i think courting traditions are so cute, they just add a bit of culture and it's so fun to play with ^^

First of all 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ, I love that template! It is very pretty. Oh, that sounds like it would have been pretty cool, Necro. I don't think it is stupid at all, it sounds like it would have unique to have the text have images within it too. You could come up with some very unique patterns and banner-like coding with that. Maybe there is a way to do and it just needs to be discovered? Either way, I am liking what I am seeing you doing, Necro. I love the beach territory descriptions, νσι∂! For the cotton fields, I am liking either Cotton Meadow or Cotton Pond. Shale Beach or Jagged Bay for the beach. The other names seem fine to me but if I come up with any, I can post them. I also have been thinking about those brother bear traditions and I am so happy you found a way to incorporate them! I can see the clan being tribal so I like it. The crossing idea with the lake could be the singing ice! The ice singing could end up having some spiritual effects almost like it is celebrating the cat's journey to become a warrior. rockydublin, I love those traditions! I, especially, love the wedding and courtship idea because it just sounds adorable and wholesome. Apologies that I don't have my own stuff posted yet. I have been sort of out of it today, but I will work on it tomorrow.

thanks, Jin! i think i like Cotton Pond and Jagged Bay but we'll have to see what the others think! i'm glad you approve i think it could be really cool to implement that and since it's a claim - a - cat and i want everyone to be able to create their own personality for the character they claim maybe they can choose their totem and what it stands for when they join? that way they're not pre-assigned and it gives some freedom? also, that is so perfect! the singing ice fits right in! ah, the beauty of teamwork lol
no need to apologize, Jin, i completely understand. take your time c:

no i didn't, which i guess means i have to start again. //sigh//
i was also thinking that we might need to change the season names because they don't really have deciduous trees that loose their leaves in the fall and such? i'm open to ideas ~

What if it correlated to the wind, sky, or animals that are around only during that time of the season?

Open Lands This is the area between AuroraClan’s beach and mountain territory. Rolling hills are abundant here, broken up by groups of boulders and sparse bushes and ferns. A few medicinal flowers grow here as well. At the halfway point between the two separate territories is a two-leg vacation settlement called the Campgrounds. Sky Peak is the tallest mountain in the Open Lands and certainly taller than the mountains in their mountain territory.
Sky Peak This is definitely the most treasured and sacred place to the AuroraClan cats. The mountain is taller than any other in the surrounding area, appearing to reach for the sky, hence the name. Sky Peak is where AuroraClan meets with their ancestors and many ceremonies are held here. Near the top of the mountain is a large clearing that is sheltered by tall rocky walls topped in snow. This clearing holds the entrance to the Cave of Aurora, which is where most of the ceremonies are held within the clan. Also stemming from this landing is a path that leads to the highest attainable point in the mountain - any higher and the air grows too thin, making it even harder to breathe. This is where the Light Pool is located and this is where AurorClan contacts their ancestors and their Guardian Spirits.
Cave of Aurora Near the highest point of Sky Peak is a clearing which provides fresh water in the form of small pools made by melted snow and shelter from the harsh winds in the naturally formed rock walls. At the back of this clearing, settled into the mountain face, is a wide mouthed cave. This is the Cave of Aurora. On the curved wall of the cave are a multitude of red and white footprints, pressed into the stone with dyes made from berries. In the center of the cave is a boulder that juts up from the ground, this is where the leader speaks during ceremonies.
Light Pool Soft whispers echo from this crystal pool, making it a very spiritual place. When a cat touches their nose to the water, or laps at the clear surface with their tongue, they call forth their ancestors. Some say that the moment they made contact with the water, they were instantly enveloped in golden light as the lives of their ancestors danced before their eyes. If the Northern Lights were not already present, the skies burst to life the moment the pool is activated. Images of cats hunting, running, and various other activities seem to be reflected. Other animals can be present as well, almost like the lights contain another world not only for their ancestors, but for all animals that call the Arctic their home. Prophecies, advice, totems, and blessings can all be received here, just usually not verbally. The ancestors and Guardian Spirits prefer to use images rather than words.
The Campgrounds i left this blank because i wondered if Jingle might be better equipped to write this one ~
Lost River The deadly river got its name from the frightening amount of cats it has taken in the past. The current is quick and unforgiving, making it dangerous to even drink from, much less swim. However, AuroraClan must cross it, for Lost River is their eastern border into their beach territory. On the journey kits are forbidden from roaming within even two wolf-lengths of the river and are often carried around to keep mischievous kits from getting into trouble.
The Crossing Like the name implies, The Crossing is a path across Lost River that is relatively safe. There is an old two-leg bridge that was built many seasons ago. From constant exposure to water the wood has become weathered and worn, which can make for a precarious crossing at times. The stone supports still hold strong though and there is really no other safe way to cross the Lost River.
(( the mountain territories are complete [nearly]. c: i am going to start typing out the customs and such now if anyone wants to help, let me know ~ for the seasons, i have two thoughts but i'm really open to anything else anyone's got? ))
Winter - Grey-Sky / Deep-Frost Summer - Blue-Sky / Melt-Frost Spring - Bright-Sky / Light-Frost Autumn - Pale Sky / New-Frost

thank you, Rocky! they're as good as they can be at the moment. ^^ hm, well, i'm going to start working on the customs, just kind of writing out the descriptions of each. so... maybe some help with that? or even a list of predators and prey? for either the mountains or the beach territory.
also, Jin, i'm really glad you started to feel better! welcome back! <3

I have some bad news. My laptop recently died, and therefore I can’t get access to my files. I am working on getting a new one. In the meantime, I don’t think I will be able to help as much I want to. If I find a way, I will let you all know. Otherwise, until I get a new computer, I will just have to support you all from the background. Anyone can take on the territories and come up with their own twists and spins. I will try to stick around in case I am needed.
