you would all be more than welcome to join... please XD I could do both if you wanted? Make you a code and then give a step by step of how I did it so if you want to change something or just make something of your own off like a tutorial type thing that would be fine with me. I’ve done it for a few friends before.

I am liking the description! I think the main thing for me I realize was how the seasons work. It sounds like different regions of the land experience different temperatures depending on the season. So, when cats are station at the main camp, I am guessing that it is warmer where the secondary territory is colder. This would make the second territory unsuitable to live in due to how the prey may have move on to warmer regions or hiding their homes whereas the herbs are dying off. Then as the cold starts to set in for the main camp because the mountains and lack of foliage doesn’t provide shelter against the cold, they set off on their journey to the other territory. Here, the forest is now rejuvenated with life and herbs making it much warmer until the cold starts to set back in. I was getting mixed up on which would be considered the Newleaf and Greenleaf territory and which would be the Leaf-fall and Leafbare territory. The reason being was if the changing seasons did not cause significant changes in temperatures, it sounds like it would be better to be stationed at the beach forest territory because it provides more food and herbs than the other. I hope this is all making sense.
Other than that, I do like the wording and it sounds like you found a creative use for the small forest idea too! Having it be like the border between the main camp and the second camp is I love! Maybe this area could be where Sky Peak is? I like the river being closer to the edge of this border so that they could cross over into the second territory. Plus, the Glacier Fields sound awesome too! I love that you were able to put in the ice sheet idea and how the area is combined to be half-frozen, half mountainous. The area being barren and rocky makes it unique and have its own identity that you were still able to maintain even with all of the land ideas. The fact you even found a location where the singing ice could be is nice as well! I hope this did not come across as critical or anything. If it did, please let me know since I have no intentions of doing that.
That sounds perfect! I could see how cautious the clan will be as each of them cross over the bridge. I also love the idea that the bridge is old so it may be risky to cross especially if it is ever icy! If it ever floods, it could be enough to cover the bridge too. The idea of the clan telling the kits ghost stories to keep them in line sounds awesome to me as well.
Once it is finished, I will be sure to tell you all! I was thinking that the Campgrounds could be in the second territory or the land in between as it will give them access to both lands. They could use the river and forest from the second territory to help make their homes and all, but they could also have some use for the other territory. It would make the cat really have to watch out when in these lands because when the twolegs are here, there is danger a foot. It will also allow the twolegs to ignore seasonal moves as they are right in the middle, which if things like the Sky Peak is here, the cats will need to explore anyway. We could also have them be there during Leafbare. Maybe they use Leaf-fall to prepare for Leafbare, which makes the struggle for food all the more intense? Plus, the twolegs would have a few techniques to help keep their gardens, which makes them even more valuable during Leafbare.
That could work as far as deities are concern. With the Leafbare entity, I was thinking of things like General Winter from all of the stories and such that I am aware of so far. There could be some myth that could help inspire the sun one too if we all decide that this could be worth exploring more. As for the medicine cats, I LOVE that idea! I did not even think about that, but yes please. North and Aurora could certainly help with that. rockydublin , do you mind if I call you Rocky? Anyway, I love those names and I could already see myself brainstorming on some of them. Maybe I may take a couple or one of those names for a future character if you didn’t mind. If you come up with more, I would certainly welcome them! Those landmarks we can certainly keep in mind too. Maybe we could reference at least one of them? Thanks for looking those up!
Hey 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ (mind if I call you Necro?)! I am happy to see you around here. I have been looking at your Taigaclan and first thing that caught my eye was your coding. Then once I read the ideas and descriptions it was certainly something on my radar. I just have no idea what two cats I should even start off with so until I have ideas, I will just continue keeping an eye on it. It is awesome to have your coding help and can’t wait to see what comes from it! Any help is much appreciated even outside of coding <3

rockydublin these landmarks are in the area i'm thinking the clan is settled around (at their main camp) : Petermann Peak, Payer Peak, and Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord this landmark looks almost similar enough to actually be the mountains around their camp maybe? : Revaltoppe
what do you think?

Pretty much everyone else does so that’s perfectly fine, that or Nec/s (pronounced Neek/s apparently) tend to be the most common ones thrown around but I have not particular preference And no worries, I love coding (even if it is infuriating sometimes) so I’m more than happy to help when I can.

yes, you're right, the seasons would have to have some sort of temperature difference for the need of an extra camp to make sense. i assumed that the beach territory would make more sense during the colder seasons because they have the ability to fish, seeing as the ocean/sea won't freeze up?
so Sky Peak would be between the two territories? that would make a lot of sense, maybe it's the only mountain in that area, which makes it stand out a little more against the forest and hills terrain? i'm really glad you all seem to approve of the (large) overview! i'm thinking i'm going to shorten it a bit but then make specific descriptions for landmarks, like Glacier Fields and such? if any of you want to help out with that by the way, i'd need
Mountain Territory; Glacier Fields (the icy half of the mountain territory) Singing Ice (have to find a name for this area lol and if you need help describing, Jingle made a post about it) Scarce Forest (needs name) The Valley (needs a name, camp is inside, has a lake) The Lake (needs name) any other ideas?
The Open Lands; Sky Peak (where the Northern Lights "touch" the earth and we meet with our ancestors) Lost River (not the best name, feel free to offer other suggestions, river that must be crossed to get to the beach and forest camp - edge of beach territory) Two-leg Bridge (possibly needs a better name, old and rickety) The Campgrounds (two-leg settlement) The Open Lands (the hilly area between both of AuroraClan's territories that must be crossed to get to the river and or back to the mountains. sky peak is here)
Beach Territory; Cotton Grass Fields (needs a name possibly and to be described, Jingle provided an image and brief description for example on first page) The Beach (needs name lol, very rocky) The Hollow (camp, a sheltered hollow in the forest, not too close to the beach but not incredibly far either) any other ideas?
that makes sense to me. it would add more conflict if they were between the two different territories, making it even difficult to make the journey? they would always have to be alert and ready for traps. the journey to Sky Peak takes a day (i'm thinking) which is halfway between both territories, and then almost a full day to make it to the river and beach territory?

AuroraClan is tucked away in the Northern Greenland National Park. They're settled in the many acres of wilderness that the park has to offer. Their New Leaf and Green Leaf territory is half mountainous terrain and half ice sheet. The icy half of their territory is barren of most flora but there is some prey to be had and predators are abundant here. In the other half (the mountains) is where the camp is and where they do most of their hunting. Their leaf-fall and leaf-bare territory is across the Open Lands and is mostly made up of a spruce forest which is bordered on the far side by a rocky beach. This territory is plentiful in herbs and has a cotton grass field for easy access to clean water. The beach provides plenty of fish during the colder months but fishing when it's so cold out can cause problems to those not properly trained.
( is this a better, shorter territory overview? just simple and to the point so that we can look a bit more organized with the specific landmarks kept separate? )

If I ever need more name ideas Rocky, I'll be sure to ask you! Alright, I'll call you Necro! Coding is something I can admire as people can create some amazing things with it. Maybe one of these days, I'll try again with coding. Otherwise, at least I know that there are some talented people who do enjoy it. You all are free to call me Jingle, Jin, or anything else.
That makes sense. I do feel like the beach territory should be the one headed to when it gets cold especially since the ocean water won't freeze. Yep! I think Sky Peak being the only mountain would make it stand out and it can still be the largest one. I would love to help with territory descriptions! It is one of my favorite things to do with planning. Any particular area you want me to start on first? Definitely so when it comes to the settlement and all of the traps and dogs. The length of time it takes to get to the Open Fields and then the beach territory makes sense to me.
As Necro said, it looks fab to me as well.

for everyone else, i have some ideas for customs, they've been up for a while. does anyone else have any ideas of that kind? or do we even want to go with the ones i have listed? i'm open to ideas but i wanted to at least start thinking about this today ~
sorry about yesterday as well, i tripped and got a pretty big bump on my head and slept pretty much the rest of the day. :c i'm okay though!
welcome, ~ 𝕤 𝕡 𝕠 𝕥 𝕥 𝕚 𝕖 ~, feel free to jump in and help out! i'm just about to edit the helper section so i'll add you up there! what we're currently working on is territory and the beginning of customs/traditions. c:

okay, Necs, i'll try my best. - so, i love how clean everything looks and how the background image isn't super distracting from the text. - i also really like how there are little places to put a picture of the cat beside the description, that's a really cool aspect ~ - the territory would probably have to be a little strange, with areas for the mountain and beach territories and also a place to put the description of the Open Lands... then again we could probably find a way to combine them - i just want it all to be organized so that it's not confusing to potential joiners ^^ - there would probably have to be a customs or traditions section somewhere before the allegiances because AuroraClan has some wildly different beliefs than traditional clans. - for color scheme i'm thinking light blues, greens, and purples? kind of like actual northern light colors with maybe neutral grays or even some black or white mixed in? i'm open to alternative ideas ~
other than that, i want to give you some creative freedom. c: let me know if you need any other information from me, i'll be happy to help and give my opionion!
thanks so much, Jin! i really appreciate all the help you've provided and i can't wait to see your descriptions and ideas! i'll be posting my beach ones here soon after i finish them. c;

Haha Jingle it probably sounds very stupid, but I thought it was cool. It looked like I'd managed to make the text itself transparent, so it would show an image behind it like with the boxes, but it seemed I could only make it work in BBCode, as outside of it it just looked like the colour around it, thus practically invisible. Unfortunate, but not gutting. It would have been helpful because I'm terrible at banners, and it might have been a different way to make a banner.

Cotton Grass Fields - name ideas; Cotton Meadow, Cotton Pond, White Hills These fields are an excellent source of both food and water during the colder months. Since saltwater is unacceptable drinking water for felines, the pond and wet mossy ground of these areas are essential to life in the beach territories. Cotton plants grow wild here and where they grow in large patches they look like fresh snow. The pond here doesn't freeze until Leaf-bare and when it does, the middle stays thawed so that there is still access to clean drinkable water. Walking across the ice to get the water can be tricky but apprentices are trained to do it from a very young age. That being said, apprentices are not aloud to go out on the ice without at least one warrior near by. Reindeer and Caribou often bring their young to drink from the pond and these animals should be avoided at all costs. Snow geese can nest around the pond too and can be quite violent when agitated so cats are advised to hunt and or approach with caution and never alone. The Beach - name ideas; Shale Beach, Sharp Cove, Jagged Bay This beach is the main reason why AuroraClan makes the journey to the beach territories every Leaf-fall. The arctic ocean stays well stocked with fish year round and provides a source of food when most other prey is scarce. The actual beach portion is made mostly of stones and large rocks. Cats have to be careful when navigating the shore so that they don't cut their paw pads or slip. Luckily most AuroraClan cats have hardened paw pads anyway from being on the ice and rocky terrain of their mountain territory during New-leaf and Green-leaf. This is the prime Leaf-bare hunting spot and apprentices are taught to swim against waves and catch fish in the shallows. The Hollow - name ideas; honestly The Hollow is all i got, but it's camp so i think this is fine... maybe? In the woods that surrounds the beach and leads into the Cotton Fields, is where AuroraClan makes their camp. Closer to the beach, there is a hollow in the ground, one that has steep sides that can be tricky to navigate if not accustomed to them. The camp is sheltered by large white spruce trees, ferns, and bracken. At the bottom of the hollow is the actual camp. The main clearing is called the (help?) and this is where the clan gathers to share tongues and celebrate. The Prey Circle, which is where prey is stored sits in the center of camp and it is common for cats to huddle together near it during the cold evenings to have dinner as a clan. The Willow Grove - name ideas; got none, help? On the other side of the Cotton Fields there is a wide but small grove of grayleaf willow trees. Birds often make their nests in these trees and its a decent land-based hunting ground in the beach territories. Small predators can be a more serious problem in this area, such as minks and arctic foxes so it is advised that no clan-cat goes alone into the grove. any other ideas?

νσι∂ Jingle and others here are some traditions the names next to them can be changed and altered however your hearts desires Traditions: Dealings in death- Is tradition to burn the bed of a deceased person. It's supposed to help the spirits of the ancestors identify their new member. Kits being born or adopted- It is tradition to receive a gift from the baby (actually the parents) when visiting the baby after it has been born. It's supposed to bless the baby and bring it fortune and health. Coming of Age- It is tradition for cats to pour water on each other once they're a certain age. It's supposed to be a symbol of confidence and courage and it's usually part of a larger ceremonial performance that can last for several days. The crossing to another camp- It is tradition for cats to walk across a frozen lake on a specific date of the year. It's supposed to be a symbol of integrity and duty and it's usually part of a coming of age ritual or festivity that can last for a day. (Can also be seen as a reflection on the trek they have to take idk) Wedding- It is tradition for cats to create a handmade gift for their significant other the day before their wedding. It's supposed to be a symbol of creativity and decisiveness and it's usually part of a type of initiation into a new part of life Opening a Courtship?- It is tradition for cats to profess their love, if they are indeed in love on the first full moon of the year. How do these sound?
