Her tail flicked against the ground - it didn't seem capable of staying still for very long - and she seemed to be in deep thought as she looked down at her paws. "I suppose so?" she said, sounding a bit doubtful that a leader could really be such a normal cat. "What sort of disputes do you settle?" she asked with curiosity. Maybe she would want to be a leader. She'd played as one before of course - Rabbitstar! - but never considered that it would be something that would actually happen. She still didn't. But the thought was interesting. |

ProtractorโThis one will either meditate or spar with my brother or by myself.โ He replied. Since the death of his parents both he and his brother grew up pretty quickly, some things were a bit hazy before theyโd left their original clan if he was honest but his family never said much about it when he asked about it, so he could only hope it wasnโt important.

It only causes problems and headaches for you, and the rest of the clan." |

Fox w/ Mallowkit and Spiderblossom mintedstar/fur and rockydublin ) Fox nodded after a moment, wiping the concern off her face and replacing it with a purr. "Okay! Good job - tell me if any of that changes though, alright?" Stress was bad for Mallowkit, and she didn't want him to feel that these little checkups were because his mother worried about his health. If they felt routine, he'd be more likely to tell her the truth and less likely to be anxious. That was her logic, anyway. She cast a wary glance at Spiderblossom, eyes slightly narrowed at the other she-cat as she watched way she ran her eyes over Mallowkit. Was that worry for Mallowkit's safety in her eyes, or caution for the health of her Clan? Were sick cats generally kept around here at all? Her pelt prickled with unease at the thought of all the things she didn't know about this place. About all the dangers that they might still pose to Mallowkit. "I need to talk to your leader," she blurted out suddenly, flicking her tail, and then took a breath, lowering her voice. "When it's possible. How could I go about that?" |

She wasn't sure what she was promising, but she wanted to make sure that Sparrowstar could trust her. She didn't want to make any problems for her if they could be avoided. "Thanks for talking to me," she said softly again - probably the rare occasion when she was. She was well aware that she was probably taking up Sparrowstar's time and she didn't want to do that. (Seems like Sparrowstar might be needed with Fox, Mallowkit, and Spiderblossom. XD ) |

As I told you, I'm just a normal cat with a few more responsibilites," she purred. "Come talk to me any time. I'll let you know if I'm to busy, so don't assume that I will be to busy to talk to you." With that, Sparrowstar stood and stretched. Glancing around the camp trying to see if there was anything that demanded her attention at that moment. |

She saw the look Fox gave her, she wondered if her concern came across as caring only for the clan. That wasnโt her intention, however given Foxโs life she could understand why the thought would cross her mind, hopefully Fox would ask Sparrowstar about it if she didnโt feel comfortable talking with her. |

Her eyes settled on Spiderblossom padding toward her with two of the new members of the clan in tow, and turned to faced them. She sat down to wait, and called out to them when they got close enough. "Hello Spiderblossom, how are you today?" she asked, waving her tail as she spoke. |

"Are you getting used to clan life Fox? If you have any questions, or have any problems you can always come talk to me. I almost always can make time," she meowed at the new member of the clan. She then turned her gaze to the kit and smiled "Mallowkit, I hope your doing well. I've heard that it takes time to fit in with clan life for those who lived as cats before, so please talk to me or any of the other rogues if you need anything." |

{Here goes my debut here  } Duskpaw shook her pelt one final time before stepping out the apprentices den. She had gone out for an early hunt and was allowed for a sunhigh nap and it was the most refreshing. As she gazed around, her eyes adjusting after sleep fell on Sparrowstar, the Clan leader chatting with Mallowkit. Duskpaw had never interacted with the kind she-cat directly but she was always in awe of her and say she as an example of what all cats of the Clan should be. |

Mistyfur padded back into the clearing with a jawful of fish she had caught earlier. As she walked across the clearing to deposite the fish into the fresh-kill pile, she spotted Duskpaw watching Sparrowstar by the apprentices den. Mistyfur decided that she would probably get scolded if she worked herself to hard, so after she had left her catch on the fresh-kill pile, she turned and padded over to the apprentice. "Hey there Duskpaw! How are you doing?" She called out to the apprentice as she approached.

Blinking, Duskpaw mewed, "Hello Mistyfur. I'm well, simply waiting for another assignment or lesson." Duskpaw kept her replies short to everyone- she felt going beyond the answer of the question was a waste of time and air. Plus Duskpaw didnt even know Mistyfur like that so what was she gonna say?

Mallowkit w/ Fox, Spiderblossom, and Sparrowstar [ <Raintalon>, rockydublin, ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ] Mallowkit hid himself behind his mother's leg, hiding under her belly in an attempt to get out of Sparrowstar's view. He peaked out from under his mother, his ears brushing against the soft belly fur of Fox. He didn't really respond to the leader. Instead, he seemed to have taken a dose of shyness and wasn't planning to talk to the leader at all. |

(Sorry for slow responses, I've been really busy for the past few days.) ( cowbird) Mistyfur glanced around the clearing. She didn't see Duskpaw's mentor, so she figured it was safe to offer to teach Duskpaw a thing or two. "I don't see your mentor anywhere, they must be on patrol. If you want I could teach you a thing or two while you wait for them," Mistyfur said. "I might not be the best fighter in the clan, but I do know a thing or two." ( mintedstar/fur, <Raintalon>, rockydublin) Sparrowstar chuckled as Mallowkit hid himself under his mother. She slowly lowered herself to look Mallowkit in the eyes. "Don't worry. I know I might seem intimidating at times, but I promise I'm not scary." Sparrowstar said. She glanced up at Fox for a moment, then looked back down at the kit. "You really are lucky to have a mother like Fox. If all parents were like her, I think we would have many more happy kits." |

Duskpaw brightened. Battle moves was something she liked. "Yes!" She exclaimed at the warrior's proposal, then pulled back, cringing when she heard how kit-like she sounded. "I mean, yeah. Id like that."

She shifted her paws and opened her mouth, then closed it again, suddenly unsure how she was supposed to address a leader. Was she supposed to lead with something? Sit a certain way? Speak formally, or casually? She had so many things she needed to clarify, she wasn't sure where or how to start. "I have some questions," she blurted out at last, swallowing. "About Clan life. About what it's going to be like for Mallowkit. Can I ask them?" She straightened up, regaining a little of her courage. "They're important."

There were enough cats that were born outside the clan that she had a good idea of what Fox was going through right now. Sparrowstar couldn't help but feel a little sad however, that Fox felt that Sparrowstar would not let her ask questions. She smiled gently at Fox and nodded. "Of course. You always have my permission to ask questions, and you always have a right to have answers." ( cowbird) Mistyfur laughed a little and flicked Duskpaw with her tail. "You don't need to act so polite. We all have things that we get excited about, for me it's finding new places in the territory, for you it's battle moves," she said. She stood and stretched, glancing around the clearing once more. "I guess we should find a clear area to practice. Do you want to train in camp or outside of camp?" She asked. |

Duskpaw licked her chest in embarrassment. It was hard for her not to be awkward even though she was a Clancat. "Outside," she mewed, her voice small. She cleared her throat and repeated herself but louder and clearer this time. "Outside- we can make more of a mess in the open," she judged.

This was the leader she was talking to, so here of all places was where she had to make a solid first impression. "Question number one," she began, flicking her tail slowly. "How are the sick dealt with? Are they killed, or just exiled? How long can a cat be sick before you take action?"

The environment can sometimes have an affect on the way a fight goes, so it's good to occasionally practice moves that are specific to a particular type of terrain," Mistyfur said, her mind already sorting through the possible options for things to teach Duskpaw. She glanced up as she realised that she was going a little more in depth than she needed to go. ( <Raintalon>, mintedstar/fur, rockydublin) Sparrowstar smiled gently, her eyes twinkling a little as she locked them with Fox's eyes. This was a qestion she had been asked many times. The first few times had surprised her, eventually she just got used to it. "The answer is neither. The sick are neither killed nor exiled. They are cared for. We have cats who devote their entire life to healing the sick and injured, and we would never throw out or kill a cat in need of treatment," she meowed, flicking her tail in the direction of the medicine cat's den. "The medicine cat is Bramblepath. His den is over there if you ever need his help." |
