I swear if Squirrelflight doesnt get her deputy position back ill be pissed. I'm team Squirrelstar and to lose your rank in such a stupid unfair manner really ticks me off. If she doesnt get it back in the end I think i may very well be done with the warrior books. What happened to the possessor being obsessive over her??

This is just a guess and I probably will be very wrong, but - What if, similar to how Bramblestar was possessed, the ghost cat is trying to possess Shadowsight. Medicine cats have a a stronger position of power and maybe “the ghost cat” (*cough* AsHfUr) wants to take advantage of that? Just a guess! Anyways - I’m loving the spoilers, thank you so much Faith!

I've been thinking about Rootpaw's warrior name. We know he'll be named Rootspring, but what if he gets it because he springs into action to save Shadowsight? It's not confirmed if Shadowsight is actually dead.

It's not confirmed if Shadowsight is actually dead. The Erins chose his name, so I don’t think the Erins could be that creative with coming up an explanation for his name. Probably going to be named after Dewspring, because I predict he’s going to be killed.

It was actually the fans who chose Rootpaw's name, but the Erins might still give his name an in-universe explanation.

I predict that in Veil of Shadows, Tree and/or Rootpaw/spring will also be attacked because of their ability to see spirits.
I get a bad feeling that Tree might die.

They can have ANY SkyClan cat except for Sandynose, Dewspring, Tree, and Needlepaw. But that would make sense if they were attacked for that.

That makes a lot of sense, with Tree explicitly claiming that he was the one to see Bramblestar, not Rootpaw. His father dying would easily kick off a world of character development for Rootpaw, especially since Tree will have only been the target because he was covering for Rootpaw. Buckle up Rootpaw, it's angst time.

I can't help but think of the poor cat at the end of the book screeching and bleeding. I feel like it was either a distraction to get Shadowsight alone or it was one of the cats listed as a codebreaker. Or both. But who this cat is... you know how on the warriors website Alderheart and Willowshine are listed as the main medicine cats instead of Jayfeather and Mothwing? I feel like it might have Mothwing. She is getting a novella next year, which could help finish off her story. Yes, I know it starts in the old forest most likely, but still.

Man, if you'd told 11 year old me that this is what would be happening in Warriors in the future, I'd have told you to screw off and that the authors would never make something that ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT, but... Jesus, this book is insane.

This book sounds insane! (Thank you, *Faith* that you took time for posting the spoilers.) But something is bothering me... The thing is, this book still doesn't convince me that Fake Bramblestar is Ashfur.

I think my favorite part about all of this is how ThunderClan is technically the antagonist Clan for this arc instead of using ShadowClan or an outside group again, even if it is their "leader" who's doing most of the provoking. I also wonder if Berrynose (still weird to think of him as deputy) and Bumblestripe will be future antagonists as well (not necessarily evil, though).

This book certainly does seem more intense, let's hope that this continues as the arc progresses or that the plot is dumped down the drain in the next books. However, I want more death to happen in the books. I'm tired of each book implying lots of death happening and then it doesn't. Deliver on your promises, and finally cut the population of ThunderClan by 3/4. I'm sick of having to read 3-4 pages of names for just one Clan before the prologue. I'm more excited for the book to come out so I can rub it in my friends' faces that I was right about Berrynose becoming deputy since they adamantly believed he would never be picked for it and constantly argued with me about it
I'm pleasantly surprised by this lmao I thought they would pick Ivypool or Rosepetal if anything

Whether Fake!Bramble is exposed or killed (since now a number of cats know about Fake!Bramble) and Real!Bramble is able to get back into his body or if Real!Bramble also dies, something tells me either way we won't get Berrystar.

I feel like out of the two of them Bumblestripe is more likely to pull an Ashfur, so to speak, especially regarding Dovewing. If it IS Ashfur as Fake!Bramble then it would make sense because they've got similar stories and Fake!Bramble could be whispering poison in Bumblestripe's ear. Berrynose I think could also be an antagonist but I think it'll be less because of bad influence and manipulation and actual evil actions and more because as a character, he's a pretty hot-headed hawk, so to speak.

I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Bramblefake's lackeys. All of them were unlucky at love in some shape or form. Berrynose lost his first love. Bumblestripe and Bristlefrost were rejected by theirs. Interestingly, the one who handled the heartbreak the best, Bristlefrost, was also the only one so far to turn against Bramblefake.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bramblefake tries to recruit Finleap too. But I imagine exiling his mate won't go over well.
