"Oh?" questioned Rattlesnake, sounding far more amused than anything else. He leaped after Tatteredhawk, his tail held high. Like usual, what seemed to be the usual reaction to the she-cat was completely ignoring her. Dream followed after, but he did cast Sparrowshine a backwards glance. His eyes looked slightly worried, but what could he actually say? She seemed to be very persistent and so did he, so he wasn't sure what he should actually say about that. Apparently nothing, since following Tatteredhawk seemed to be the best option. He followed his mate and the other tom cat across the border. "And," he said. "Did you have a destination in mind?"
Mockingstar hurriedly uncurled from the moss of the Leader's den nest. Sparrowshine's cry rang through the white tufted ears and rattled around a sleepy skull. Bolting out of the den, Mockingstar paused in the middle of camp and said, "What?" Sparrowshine had just called a name, not an actual reason for why. "Where's Tatteredhawk?"

Tatterehawk lifted his nose to the air and sniffed loudly. "Well need to get as far away as we can from this territory before Sparrowshine gets back to camp and tells my leader that i've left." He flicked his tail in annoyance. That she-cat had always been a thorn in his side.
Sparrowshine dug her claws in the ground, her breath coming out in huff. I would have stayed to fight, but I am no match for three cats." She shook her head.

Rattlesnake sighed. "If that's how it's going to go then." His pace suddenly quickened, a run now. But it was well paced, clearly meant for long distance rather than short and speedy. Dream glanced at Tatteredhawk with his one eye, then continued after his mate with about as much speed as he felt this deserved. He hadn't assumed that they would be getting into this before they headed into new clan's territory. This cat must have been looking for any excuse to get out of here, Dream mused to himself. But that's a big leap. Just to trust us. He glanced to the side again. Pity the trust is so ill-placed.
Mockingstar flicked their tail, eyes widening a little. This was ... "Hollowstripe!" they called, waving their tail as jumped down from the hollowed place within the rocks, claws digging into the tree which was climbing like some parasitic vine over the rocks and digging into the rocks. Hollowstripe appeared from the Warriors' den, along with his sister Darkclaw. Mockingstar hurried past, waving their tail to indicate that the two cats should follow. "We're following Sparrowshine," Mockingstar said. Hollowstripe blinked, looked at his sister, and then hurried after his leader.

Sparrowshine flicked her tail and spun around quickly, her pace a fast walk. She had been with Tatteredhawk most of her life, and tho she did not like him all that much, he was still a clan member. She lead the group and cats around some large boulders and over a small ravine.
Tatteredhawk mattched the pace of the cat, his claws out. His large muscles rippled under his fur as he lept from rock to rock, careful not to slip. He was sure that Sparrowshine would have told his leader. Doubt flickered in his mind, slowing him down slightly.

Dream's tail flicked close to Tatteredhawk's face and he almost didn't notice when the other cat slowed. Then he looked back, slightly confused as to why the tom was pausing. "If you're staying then stay, if you're coming then come," he said, breath coming in small gasps. They were already in hot water and didn't need to have someone doubting themself halfway through. Dream turned again, claws finding purchases in cracks as he continued to climb.
Sparrowshine was fast. But for Hollowstripe, Darkclaw, and Mockingstar she didn't seem fast enough. All four cats were far behind - but at least Hollowstripe felt like they were catching up. That was good. Unlike Mockingstar, who seemed furious at the whole situation, Hollowstripe was just worried. Tatteredhawk was making a huge mistake. Trying to leave the clan? What was he thinking? Was he thinking at all? "How far as we?" he gasped at Sparrowshine.

Sparrowshine slid out her claws, her fur puffing up in response to the stressful situation. "They were right up here... " she huffed, she was sure that they weren't too far from where she had met the rogue cat but since they were on the rocks now, the scent could easily be blown away. Irritation ate at her gut. She turned to her leader. "Can you smell anything?"
Tatteredhawk eyed the two cats. "Follow me." He hissed urgently, jumping up the slippery rocks with ease. He led the two cats to a solitary cave. "you never fully told me where you guys were going?" He mewed innocently.

Mockingstar pulled to a hault, their fur spiking. The wind pulled against their ruff and blew their whiskers about their face. Opening their mouth wide, the leader inhaled the surrounding scents, waiting to catch any telling sign of MoonClan's missing warrior. The scent trail was old already, tossed to the winds and hard to follow. But Mockingstar managed it after almost three minutes of standing in place. Then the pace redoubled, the leader now following the trail with the various warriors behind. Hollowstripe's fur was on end, but he was willing to keep up if only to make sure Tatteredhawk wasn't pushed off a cliff when they found him. If they found him. What would happen if they didn't?
Rattlesnake and Dream followed Tatteredhawk into the cave, glad to be out of the wind which had picked up recently. Both toms seemed rumbled, but so far unharmed. "We don't really have a destination," said Dream. "Apart from maybe the next largest group of cats that are a bit more friendly than yours. We're nomadic. We travel around. Though I suppose we could say that there are some ... cats that we could go back to. If we wanted to. Where do you want to go?" His nose twitched, slightly huffy in the process. Tatteredhawk had been their guide up til this point. It wasn't like Dream and Rattlesnake needed a destination.

Sparrowshine followed on her leaders heels. They could not be far now, but Tatteredhawk and his cunningness would make things difficult for them. He was one of the sharpest Toms in the clan, and for Moonclan to lose him would be a great sorrow to many, especially his mother. She pressed on, allowing the cold win to hit her in the face.
Tatteredhawk flexed his claws on the stone beneath them. "I want to be free and live with no rules." He stated simply. "There is hardly ever any outside cats that stray around here so i figured you would be my best bet." He shrugged, hoping the two cats would trust him.

(Pfft. *pats*)
"This way," said Morningstar. Hollowstripe didn't even know if they were traveling in any particular direction. The ground had gotten steeper and it was harder to keep a purchase on the rocks. Luckily there were various plants and trees around, but the wind still wound between them and sent the scents dancing around further and further back. Morningstar paused suddenly, then looked back at Sparrowshine. "You know the rogues' scent," they said. "Is this it?" A tail tip flicked in the direction of the base of a tree.
"I see," said Rattlesnake. His long tail flicked and he shrugged. "Very well. So was the aim to hide here until your clan has ceased searching the area?" Dream found this a bit doubtful. For starters, it varied from their usual plan. He didn't care whether Tatteredhawk came with them or not, but it was going to be dangerous to have him along. "I think we should keep going," said Dream.

Spottedleaf lifted her head and drank in the scents around them. "Yes! Thats it!" She flicked her tail in excitement. She had put trust in her leader, and once again they had lead them to victory, or so she hoped.
Tatteredhawk lowered his head in agreement. His plan was to find a place where he could come up with a plan in his head. He had been wanting for a few moons now to know what else was out there for him, surely clan life wasnt all there was... "When you and dream showed up, I saw it as a way for me to go out and see what else there could be out there for me." He said carefully. He noted how uncomfortable Dream had become when he asked to join their little party. "If you would like me to leave on my own, just say something." He directed towards her.

"Let's see where it leads then," murmured Mockingstar. They weren't excited just yet. For the time being, they needed to see what would happen. They had a long way to go. The leader turned, bounding after the faint scent. Hollowstripe huffed, hurrying after. This didn't stop him asking Sparrowshine, "What were the rogues like? What do we need to be prepared for?"
"I'm fine," Dream said with a sigh, ear flicking. "Cats just don't usually join in on our little journey so suddenly. It's just surprising, not ... bad." He seemed to be at a bit of a loss of how to phrase it any better. He sat, pressing is paws under him, and dipped his head. "Just work out what you need to. How we're going to get your out of clan territory and all that."

Spottedshine paused. "they look like overgrown kittypets." She let the words fall out of her mouth like stone. "But theyre large enough that they could cause some damage if they wanted too..." She sniffed the air and continued walking, not waiting to see if anyone else was following. The aching in her paws led her to believe that they would not have gotten very far from this point.
Tatteredhawk sniffed loudly. "Our territory is large, but not too big. We aren't to far from the border now." That much was honest... but he was unsure of how much to disclose at this very moment. "The only issue is, there is a large body of water we have to try to get through before we can be out. Do you know how to swim?" He licked his paw and drew it over his ear.

(School started, it's been a busy week. Also, back in work, so there's that too. It's that week where I'm still working things out. @.@ How are you?)
"That's very descriptive," muttered Hollowstripe under his breath, though he tried to make it quiet enough that Sparrowshine wouldn't be able to hear. Louder, so she would at least receive some sort of answer, he said, "Then we need to be wary." He was already planning on being so. He just didn't think that kittypets were the best way to describe rogues. Did that mean they didn't look like they could put of a fight? He at least hoped that it meant they weren't fast travelers. Were they smart though? Just because a cat was stocky or kittypet-like didn't mean they couldn't be strategic. Plus, they had a clan cat with them. Who knew the territory and wanted to hide from them. "Where would Tatteredhawk have hidden them?" he decided to ask instead, raising his voice a little to be heard.
"Yes," Dream confirmed for the both of them. They had swum larger rivers before. Rattlesnake was better at it, but Dream could at least hold his own. "How large of a body of water?" he asked, hesitant. "Can you make it?" Was that in the training of the clan that Tatteredhawk came from? It didn't much matter if none of them could make it. But he set that thought to the back of his mind and shook his head. "Doesn't matter. Hiding in this cave wont get us there. Are we waiting for a patrol of your clan to pass?" They couldn't have been that far behind ...

Okay!
Dappleshine yawned and stretched. It was cold and dark in her small cave, since no sun filtered through. It was tucked in the back of the camp, hidden behind a wall of soft moss and old tree branches. She blinked and looked around. She longed for someone to join her in her den, maybe an apprentice. She wasn't getting any younger, and the dampness of the camp made her bones scream. She stood to her paws and shook the dust from her pelt. Poking her head out of the entrance, she peered into the camp. It had been a few days since her leader and the strongest warriors left to go search for the rogues that threatened her territory. In all her moons, she never had to worry about something like this. Worry gripped her heart. What if starclan is trying to tell her something?? She sighed and walked out into the open. she figured she could be useful anch check on the Queens.

(Sure! I'd be happy to add her to the front!)
Creakwhisker was washing one of her paws outside of the nursery, tongue lapping over her grey tabby fur with each lap, when Dappleshine approached. Ears twitching, Creakwhisker's head turned, watching MoonClan's medicine cat approach. "Scouting for kits to get under your paws?" she asked, eyes sparkling with amusement. "You know mine wont be here for several moons yet, don't you?" Messing with Dappleshine was just in Creakwhisker's nature. What else was she supposed to do? Right now it was painfully obvious that the medicine cat was worried, but that wasn't going to change if she continued to mope about. "What brings you here?" Creakwhisker tried instead. "Just checking up?"

Dappleshine twitched her whiskers at the expecting queen, embarrassment pulled at her paws. "I just feel so helpless at the moment." She admitted, looking down at the ground. "Mockingstar has been gone for three days now with our best of the best warriors. Do you think we should send out another patrol?" Her words were cut off by a loud shriek. She flattened her ears and looked around. No one else had heard it.. She flattened herself to the ground and stared blankly in front of her, Starclan were sending her a message. The world around her dimmed as she was taken somewhere other than her camp. The air smelled of wet dirt and blood. She shook her fur and tried focusing her eyes. Once the fog cleared, she found herself in what used to be the camp, gone, burned and covered in blood. Cats lay motionless and lifeless. She let out a loud cry of sorrow as she looked around. Suddenly the earth quaked and a large cat appeared on a large tree covered in ash. "Your clan is in danger of a great disaster." the cat seemed to whisper directly into her ear though he was nearly 10 tail lengths away. "If you do not help those in need, your clan will not be helped..." Before Dapplshine could say anything the cat disappeared and the scene changed. Cats were fighting, large warriors with massive claws, kits, elders, expecting queens, her leader. She shut her eyes tight and shook her head.
All too soon she was back in the camp sitting in front of the expecting queen Creakwhisker. She had dug her claws deep into the ground. Her eyes were wide and wild. "No..." She whispered, her fur all fluffed out an wild.

Dappleshine- a beautiful tortoiseshell she-cat with large yellow eyes. She is unable to have kits of her own and is missing a large chunk of her left ear, imparing hr balance and hearing at times.

(Awesome! I put her up front! And sorry for the late reply. Yesterday my computer crashed. :/ )
Creakwhisker watched as Dappleshine seemed to cave a bit, her wobbling legs hardly able to supporting her. Creakwhisker's fur bristled and she scrambled to her feet, getting her paws under her in a hurry just so she could move over to Dappleshine. Creakwhisker nosed Dappleshine, asking, "Dappleshine? Dappleshine are you alright?" It didn't seem like it. The medicine cat seemed to be looking at something which wasn't there while at the same time the she-cat was trembling all over. Creakwhisker hoped that it was something StarClan related, because otherwise she didn't know what to do. She'd never had any experience treating a sick cat, never mind a medicine cat. Then she seemed to snap out of it, legs no longer stiff and eyes seeing Creakwhisker again. "What is it?" Creakwhisker breathed. "What happened?" Did Dappleshine need help? There really wasn't any other cat who could assist her - there was no medicine cat apprentice. What did she mean by 'no'?

Dappleshine rooted herself and blinked slowly. Becoming aware that Creakwhisker had pressed herself against her helped calm her down. "Im sorry Creakwhiskker..." She mewed, shaking her head. "Starclan has sent me a message, and it was an absolutely terrible one.' She said grimly. She licked the queens ear and purred, "Dont worry, we'll be alright, im sure." She had faither in her leader.

Creakwhisker's head tilted to continue watching Dappleshine, her expression of concern not dropping away. A message from StarClan was a serious thing, particularly with Mockingstar absent chasing rogues. "What are you going to do?" she asked. "Should you send out a couple cats to look for Mockingstar?" It might be a good option if they weren't going to have their leader back any time soon. Creakwhisker wanted to believe they'd be alright - if the medicine cat was saying then they had to be. But she didn't want to take chances.
(Should we have the patrol + prisoners come back on their own or should we have some cats go after them?)

(We could have them come back on their own)
Dappleshine shook her head. "We dont want to make an rash decisions at the moment. Maybe Mockingstar will be back soon and I can talk to her before she makes any big decision." There was hope in her voice as she spoke, yet fear tugged at her heart. She hoped there wouldn't be a fight before she made it back to talk to her.

(Sound good to me! )
"Alright," said Creakwhisker, her fur being forced down as Dappleshine spoke. The medicine cat did know what she was talking about, after all. They all just had to trust that when Mockingstar got back there would be discussion on what was going to happen. She glanced around, licking a reassuring tongue over Dappleshine's shoulder. "You should rest after that. That sounds like a pretty big vision." What had it been anyway? -- It was another two sunrises when Mockingstar and the patrol returned. The rogues and the runaway were boxed in, with cats around them. There were a couple of scratches on various pelts, but they might have come from bushes as much as claws. Mockingstar might have looked triumphant several days ago, but by now it seemed like energy had been sapped from the MoonClan leader. Rattlesnake and Dream were pressed close together, eyes narrowed, but both didn't seem to be scared. Nervous, but not outright scared.

Sparrowshine entered camp, her tail dragging through the dirt. she had a cut on her side that irritated her, causing the hair to stick up all over around it. She sighed as she entered, happy to be home. Tatteredhawk kept his eyes on the ground. He almost had the chance to get out of his warrior duties and live a life free on his own. He didn't want to be back, and was sure that he would be punished fo his actions, though he was the one to reveal himself to his leader. He wasnt sure what was going to happen to the other two cats, but at this point he didn't care. He helped himself to the fresh kill as soon as he could.
Dappleshine sniffed the air, it smelled of tired cats. She poked her head out of her little den and blinked in the sun. Mockingstar had returned! She gabbed some herbs for their cuts and some cobwebs to stop the bleeding and headed to the group. Every cat had some significant damage, but she would always tend to her leader first. "Mockignstar." She mewed through a mouthful of herbs.
