apparently Evanora is okay... he thought to himself. he tried hard to seem eager, but nervousness ate at him. he smiled at the new companion their little group gained, not wanting to make an enemy right away. Evanora walked eagerly onward. "We could go to the library. That way if dad comes in we can just say that we're helping this kid with his studies." She waved a hand behind her, signaling towards Atlis. (fat oof, i kind of lost my muse....)

(No worries I get it. Unfortunately it happens sometimes.)
Bazil at the head of the group made his way up the stairs and entered the hall. He took a quick look around, but found no guards. With a nod, he signled for his sister and Atlis to follow him. He headed to the right, towards the studies and library. No one was around as they made their way towards the library.
For a few minutes everything went smoothly. No one was in sight nor had they aroused any suspicions. The half-elf thought they would be fine as they contiuned their journey towards the library. As the prince strolled through the castle, something caught his attention from ahead. He paused. There was someone coming from down the hall. Drawing in a breath, Bazil quickly gestered for Evanora and Atlis to head down a different hall. Letting them get by first, he kept an eye towards the direction of the voices. He couldn't be sure, but it sounded like some of scholars.

(phew, really sorry about yesterdays response. lol its so pitiful.)
Atlis quickly turned the corner and followed Evanora. She weaved down hallways and through doors like she could with her eyes closed. He watched the girl walk, an odd feeling overcoming him. Am I jealous? He thought to himself. He longed for a relationship with his siblings like Basil and his sister. He longed for freedom and love. Evanora took Basils signal and turned immediately, not looking back to see if Atlis or Basil was behind her. She slightly picked up her pace and glided down the hallway through a small door. It opened up into a large room with many windows. The smell of the room was like old books. She smiled and slowed down a little, turning to Atlis she smiled. "This is one of my favorite rooms in the castle. Not many people use it, it was our great grandmothers study. She spent most of her time here." She said, looking up at the large wooden beams hat supported the ceiling above them. She looked back down the hall and looked for Basil. "Im not sure if he'll want to stay in here or go somewhere else, our father comes in here often to look out the windows..." Evanora led Atlis to the windows, showing him the breath taking view.

(Haha no worries. It was enough for me to work with. Speaking of sorry for my short reply.)
Once Evanora and Atlis had passed, the prince took once last look ahead before following them into his great-grandmother's study. He quietly closed the door behind them and went deeper into the room. It was mostly untouched except for the occasional dusting to keep the room well cleaned. The rooms were warm due to the large windows filtering in the light. Old books lined the walls and filled the room with a comforting, familiar scent. Bazil smiled and looked between his sister and Atlis.
"Alright think we're safe in here?" He asked Evanora. He knew his father occasionally used the old study, however he didn't know all his comings and goings. He hoped his sister would have a better idea. If not, he knew of a few other places nearby they could hide and eat in.

Evanora plopped down on the couch, knocking a book off the shoulder. "I think we'll be alright here for now. We may not want to take our time tho." She looked at Basil, flashing him a i may not know who Atlis is but I know he shouldnt be here look. She turned to Atlis. "So what brings you here?" She asked as she pulled out everyones food. Atlis slowly grabbed his loaf of bread and looked towards Basil. He had grown to trust the Elf-man rather quickly and looked at him for advise. "i, um...." He traveled, not sure of what to say. He didn't want to make the mistake of telling Evanora that he was a price of a hostile Kingdom.

His sister gave him the look. It was the look of you're doing something wrong and you know it. In this case it involved Atlis. The half-elf shurgged and smiled in response to his sister's look as he grabbed a slice of bread. Silence filled the room briefly before Atlis responded. Responded was a nice way of putting it. He muttered a few words before falling silent. Bazil flashed the younger man a sympathetic look before speaking up.
"Atlis is a travler I met in the woods. I didn't want him to get caught by the guards, especially because you know how Val is, so I brought him here." It was an explanation. An explanation from him and not the other prince like his sister had wanted. It wouldn't surprise Bazil if Evanora pressed Atlis for more details about his whereabouts and he wasn't entirely sure how she'd react if she knew he was a prince.

Atlis flashed a thankful smile towards Basil. "Yeah." He muttered, stuffing a piece of bread into his mouth. He laughed and looked around the room "This place really is beautiful." He said, covering his mouth while he continued to chew. Evanora glared at Basil for answering her question towards Atlis. Rolling her eyes she looked back at Atlis. She could tell by his clothes and his facial features that he was not from around here. She knew there was something different about him just by the way he carried himself. Other than the scared puppy dog look in his eyes,He had an heir of confidence about him. "whatever." She said as she slurped some soup.

The prince returned the smile. "Yeah we have many rooms like this, all of them quite lovely. This one, though, holds a special place for us," Bazil explained. Their great-grandmother had passed before either sibling was born. From the stories he heard, she was a noble queen like their grandmother. The prince smiled as he thought about the stories. He returned his focus to Atlis and Evanora as his sister rolled her eyes, stifling a laugh.
The girl began to study Atlis, as if to find something. Eventually she gave up and began to eat some of her soup. Silence and slight tension settled over the room. Bazil cleared his throat to grab the others' attention. "So Atlis, how long do you plan to stay in the area? If you'd like you can stay here. There's plenty of room around the castle."
Of course there was the deal about his father. However Bazil knew how to talk to him, so there was a chance the king would be okay with the visitor. Of course there was the tiny detail about him being royalty from a hostile kingdom. That was definently a concern.

Im sorry it took me so long to get a response back up, its hard for me to get on during the weekends.
Atlis swallowed his bite of food and smiled kindly. "I dont want to be a bother, especially since hiding a person can get kind of hard after a while." He laughed light heartedly. He really enjoyed the presence of these two people he happened upon. Maybe it was fate. Maybe he was supposed to be here. "I dont mind staying for a few days, but I will need to get going eventually." He said, looking out the window. He really missed how things used to be for him at his castle. His brothers, the animals, the smell of his room. Evanora took her chance. "Where are you going?" She asked almost immediately after Atlis had finished speaking. "And where exactly did you come from?" Her curiosity had been eating at her since she found her brother sneak this boy in. She felt a hard stare from her brother, but shrugged it off. "I mean, if im going to help, I feel like I have a right to know what even is happening." She finished up her food and folded her hands in her lap, crossing her legs neatly as though she was a mother waiting for her child to confess their wrong-doings.

(No worries! I know a few people who have busy weekends.)
"Don't worry about it, you're not a bother. Though you do have a point about hiding a person." Bazil paused and furrowed his brows. He would have to talk with his father eventually, no matter how much he wanted to avoid that. He would have to eventually convince him to let Atlis stay. Though if the king found out that the travler was a prince from a kingdom they had problems with, he would likely be less inclined to let Atlis stay. Bazil hoped his father wouldn't find out, but he was smart and could pick up lies.
When Evanora inquired about the travler's activites, he glanced at Atlis. It was an important question to ask and even he wanted to know the answer. He already knew where the other prince was from, but what did he want to accomplish? And why had he come to the capital if Zetta?

Atlis took a deep breath, glancing at Basil for reassurance before he started to tell them who he really was. He closed his eyes and studied evanora. "My name is Atlis. Son of Tyrus, King of Vireleth." He readjusted himself in his seat, shifting his eyes to the ground. "My mother, Eadrid died three years ago and things in ou kingdom went downhill. My father no longer had the stern, passionate hand of my mother to guide him to the right, civil decisions. He began to kill neighboring farming villages that dont belong to the kingdom, killing children, pilliging for fun." He shuttered as he remembered the eerie glow of fires and the popping of the guns. "My father drug my older siblings to join him, making them believe that was the way to run a kingdom." He closed his eyes. "My father asked me to join him once to raid a kingdom, telling me it would be his greatest honor to see me become just like him, making me promise to rule after him and keep the dirty ways alive. He never cared about his family. All he cares about is power and he will do whatever he takes to get it." He stopped, looking at the other royals who sat in front of him. He knew that he should never spill such secrets about his kingdom to royals of another, but his heart longed for peace, for help. After a long pause, he cracked his knuckles. "So I fled in order to get help. Someone to help my father, to bring things back to the way they were." He trailed off, looking out the window dramatically. "I suppose if that can't happen then I will just have to flee far away..." Tears welled up in his eyes. He looked down at his feet, watching a single tear fall on his shoe. Evanora listened wide eyed. She could never imagine her father eing like that, even if her mother wasnt really in the picture. Her and Basils mother was around, but she hardly ever came out of her chambers, she always seemed so sad. Evanoras eyes stayed wide, like a child hearing a horror story for the first time. When Atlis concluded his tale, she reached out and gently laid her hand on his, daring to comfort him in any way possible.

(No Atlis! He needs a hug.)
The prince glanced back Atlis and gave him a small smile of encouragement. He didn't have to reveal much, but it was important they had more insight on the situation. He wasn't expecting what the other prince said next, however. Bazil listened as Atlis revealed everything. His father's decent into tyranny, the horrendous acts he committed aganist innocent people, and how he tried to drag his son with him. As Atlis finished his tale, he began to cry. Bazil watched him for a moment, heart aching with sympathy for the younger man.
After a moment the prince carefully nodded. After remaining silent to collect his thoughts, he finally spoke up. "So I didn't mishear you earlier then," he began. "I'm sorry for the loss of your mother and for the state of your kingdom. I knew things were bad but I never expected..." The prince trailed off. He felt sympathy for Atlis and wanted to help the man. Bazil probably should've distrusted him, and yet he found himself only trusting the other man more. Perhaps it was his honesty or maybe it had something to do with his words. The prince wasn't entirely sure.
As his sister reached out her hand to help comfort Atlis, Bazil straightened himself and looked at the other prince. "You need help. You need a break. How long have you been travling?" He paused to let the young man reply before continuing. "As far as I'm concerned you're a guest and ally here in Zetta. You can stay as long as you like. I'll talk to my father about making arrangements for your stay here." The king wasn't a cruel man or even an unreasonable one. However he was also an overly cautious man who didn't want to make enemies if he could avoid it. With tensions rising between Zetta and Vireleth, it would be diffcult to convince him to keep Atlis sheltered. Bazil would fight for the man and find a way to help him.

(Hes a sad boy.)
Atlis wiped his eyes. "I would be forever grateful." has said, turning to evanora. He smiled a pitiful half smile and looked back at the little tear stains on his boots. "Ive been walking for about 5 days..." He said, taking his boot off. Blisters ran up and down his arch, showing them the holes that were worn in his shoes. "I decided to wear the least expensive things so that if someone found me they wouldnt take me back to my father. God only knows what wouldve happened to me then." He tried to laugh to lighten the situation. Part of him was in disbelief that he had just told these two people his life story, part of him was proud for doing it. hat would my mother think of me now? he thought as Basil began to speak. Hearing him say that he was going to talk to his father put knots in his stomach. What if he didn't want him here? What if doing that onlymade matters worse? On the flip side, what if it helped? What if it saved his kingdom? Evanora could see the war going on in Atlis' head. She let out her notoriously contagious laugh and patted her knees." This is going to be wonderful Atlis. We're going on an adventure and things are going to be wonderful!" She tried her best to be happy, but was slightly nervous at the thought of bringing their father into the situation. "Everything will be alright." She said more seriously, looking at Basil. When he finished his sentence, she nodded her head, aware of what they needed to do now.

(Yeah he is.)
Bazil watched as Atlis removed his boots. He noticed the blisters on his feet and winced slightly. Walking five days without much rest wasn't healthy. He would need to see the court physician for his wounds. Though for the time being, Bazil could do something. "Here, let me help." The prince got up and headed towards Atlis. Few people knew about the prince's abilities, it wasn't exactly something he liked to be commone knowledge. However he trusted Atlis despite only knowing him briefly and wanted to help the other prince.
At the mention of the Zetta king, Bazil noticed a slight change in Atlis' demeanor. He seemed uneasy at the thought, perhaps even scared. The man couldn't blame him and wished there was something else that could be done. However the king had to know. It was important he knew what was going on, even if the thought made everyone uncomfortable. Bazil gazed at his sister for a moment. He knew she wasn't fond of bringing their father into it and for good reason. Many things could go wrong bu draggin the king into it.

The forest was diffcult to traverse, especially without any mount to get the woman through it. Branches would tug at her hair and clothing while underbrush would constantly entangle her feet. It was frustrating to deal with. However the young woman had a job to do, an important one at that. She was specially chosen by her superiors for the task and had to Olwen was tracking. Hunting through the forest after being chosen to find some prince of Virelith. She was growing rather bored of tracking the man. His name was Atlis, one of the younger princes of the king, and apparently he had disappeared into the night a while ago.
By the way she was going, it seemed he was heading towards the Zetta capital. The castle and royal family were there. Perhaps he was seeking some kind of safety with the royals there. That posed a bit of a problem for the young woman. If royals from another kingdom were getting involved, then a war could start. Olwen wasn't looking forward to that possibility.

I wanna make Atlis mother here soon too, just to kind of get a back ground with her and bring her in the story soon. Maybe have her run into the assassin before she finds Atlis. That way when Alis finds his mother then there will be more drama.
Aslo, If his mom is a magical animal trainer, should Basil know her? Like, maybe make them old friends or something?? but basil doesnt know that is is Atlis mom becauase she goes by a different name now??
Or is that too much?)

(I'm fine with that and Olwen running into Atlis' mother would be really cool. And yeah the assassin sent to bring Atlis back to his family also has his mother. Surprise!
Anyway, I think Bazil should know her or at least know OF her. Maybe he trained with her for a few months after she first disappeared? And yeah he wouldn't connect it if she was going by a different name.)

Alright. let s get this going.
Atlis studied Basil as he came up to him, unaware of what he was going to do. Watching his lay a hand on his foot, a strong sense of peace came over him. He took a deep breath. Evanora took this time to clean up the food, gathering the little dishes, wiping crumbs off the couch and saes where they once sat. She looked at Basil and lifted the bowls slightly, allowing him to know that she was going to be going down to the kitchen to drop off the bowls and leftover food. She made her way through the hallways, silently and quickly. She didn't want to leave Basil and Atlis alone for long in case something went wrong. She hurried down the stairs into the kitchen, placing the bowls lightly on the counter. As she turned to leave a familiar voice boomed through the door. Her father. He was there to see how dinner was coming along. She did her best to sneak away, afraid of getting caught. Despite her best attempt to flee, her father grabbed her by the arm on her way up the stairs, causing her to stop. "Where do you think your going?" He said in her ear. Her eyes locked on the floor, she stuttered for an answer. "Im just messing with ya. What were you doing with all those dishes?" He laughed, letting her go. "Evanora laughed nervously. "I just got super hungry earlier... You know how i can be." She straightened her dress, showing him an innocent smile. "I do need to be going. I have lessons here shortly." She lied. Her father waved her on and she bolted up the stairs. As she reentered the room, her breath came in gasps. Lucky me she thought to herself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eadrid trodded onward, her eyes stinging with the drops of sweat the dripped into them. The day was almost gone but the heat seemed to stay. Bugs buzzed around her head, making her focus a little less strong. She took a deep breath and trugged onward. She needed food. It had been at least two days since she had eaten. Where she had began to live, she had plenty of water and lots of fruits, but fruits were not enough to keep her energy levels high enough to where they needed to be. Afterall, what if her husband found her one day? Would she fight him? News on her old kingdom had been carried around on the wings of travelers, the news breaking her heart. She pushed the thought out of her as she heard ruffeling in the bushed a few ways on front of her. She didn't think she was close to any civilization, so she drew out her long spear, ready to attack. As the thing got closer she crouched down father, ready to jump.(Sorry my Atlis post was short, i wasnt too sure where you were going with him and basil....)

A pale green glow began to emit from his hands. After a moment of concentration, the blisters on the other man's foot would start to heal up. "That should be better. Sorry for acting weird," Bazil apologized. He hoped he didn't freak out the younger man with what he did. He knew magic could be a bit jarring for people who weren't used to it. He backed away and glanced towards his sister as she headed out. After she left, he turned his attention back towards Atlis.
"How are you feeling?" He asked curiously. After a few moments his attention turned back towards the door as Evanora came rushing in. Bazil glanced at his sister with concern.
"You alright?"

Olwen didn't react when she heard the quiet rustling around her. She had grown used to animals rummaging around or hiding within the bushes, so the assassian wasn't concerned about what was out there. The young woman continued along the path, quietly following the trail.

Atlis stared in disbelief. What in the world just happened...His eyes were wide. He wasnt sure if he should look at Basil or keep staring at his feet. He slowly reached down and touched them, feeling teh soft fresh skin that had taken the place of the blisters. "How did you do that..." He whispered. He stretched out his leg and loked at his foot from all angels. Yes... that really just happened. He wasnt sure if he should be worried or amazed at this moment.
As Evanora bursted back into the room, Atlis was snapped back into reality. His heart race sped up and his palms began to sweat. Something bad must have happened. Evanora straightned her curly hair, pushing a lock out from in front of her face. "Oh you know.. Just ran into dad, thats all." She let out a big breath, trying to catch it. She took a step forward and looked at Atlis, seeing that his feet were better. "Oh good, lets just go ahead and spill all our secrets now why dont we." She said joking, aiming it at Basil. She went and sat down on the couch in front of Atlis. "Dad just wanted to know why I had all that food with me. Thats all"Eadrid watched silently as the russeling in the bushes grew closer. As best as she could gage, she lunched forward out of her cover when the thing drew close enough. Her arrow in her had she tackled the woman. Almsot instantly she jumped up, taking a few steps back. "I am So sorry!!" She explamed, her voice laced with fear. The lady was not dressed like a common, but not like a royal either. Here eyes widened as she realized what had just happed.Olwen! She thought to herself. Last she had seen her she was still in training, a beginner at that. Deciding not to reveal herself just yet, Eadrid just stood there, waiting for a response.

"Well I have skills in magic arts," Bazil explained simply. There was no point in hiding it now and it wasn't like Atlis would have anyone to tell. The prince sat down and felt some energy drained from him. He couldn't cast spells at his leisure. Not unless he used up his energy. It all came at a cost, thankfully usually at the risk of only getting tired.
He glanced towards his sister as she joined them. He offered a small smile as she answered him. He blinked in surprised when she mentioned their father. "Ah, does he seem fine today?" Bazil had yet to run into his father. He would have to see him at some point, but right now he had to help Atlis. The prince laughed when his sister mentioned his powers. She didn't outwardly say anything, it was just a small suggestion.
"Well his feet hurt and I could do something about it now," he replied with a shrug. Although there was no reason for their father to be suspicious about Evanora's activities that day, Bazil let out a sight of relief. He had no idea they had an enemy prince in their midst.

The assassian jumped back in surprise, though was too slow as a figure landed on top of her. She reached for her dual swords just as the stranger, who turned out to be a woman, quickly got to her feet. Olwen quickly followed the older woman's movements and backed away once she stood back up. She kept her swords sheathed as the stranger began to apologize. The assassian was silent for a few moments as she studied the woman. There was something oddly familiar about her, like Olwen recognized her. However she couldn't put her finger on it.
After dusting off her clothes, the young woman finally spoke up. "No worries, ma'am. Truthfully I would've had the same reaction if I didn't know what was around the bush." She paused for a moment. The forest was remote. With the exception of a few homesteads and tiny settlements, there was nothing in the forest. The older woman was likely some hermit who lived in the forest. Though that didn't explain why Olwen found her familiar.

Eadrid took a deep breath to steady herself. It didn't seem as though the traveler recognized her right away, which made her grateful. Who knows what could happen if The Kind of Virelith found out his wife had survived the horrible thing he did to her. Her face scrunched up at the thought of it. The horrible deed. he was sure that no one probably even knew to this day what had happened to her exactly, and that frustrated her. She stuck her spear into the ground, leaning onto it. "So uh, what brings you all the way out here?" She asked, hoping to make light conversation with her old companion.
Evanora looked back to Basil. "father seemed to be in an okay mood. He gave me the impression that he had something important to deal with, since he was in such a hurry to eat." She shrugged, looking back to Atlis who still sat dumbfounded. "Do you really not have any type of magic where your from at all?" She let out a loud laugh, her eyes suddenly super bright. She knew that Basils magic always seemed to take a lot out of him when he used it, and she silently hoped that the day wouldn't come where he needed to use it in a battle, draining him to the point of no return.
Atlis looked at Basil as he slumped into the chair. "Thank you." He said gratefully, laying a cold hand onto Basils. He turned his attention to Evanora as she spoke to him once more. "So he wasn't in a bad mood, per say." He mentioned, trying to stay as positive as he could. He knew that Basil was going to have to speak with his father soon, especially if he wanted to stay here in the kingdom. He was slightly surprised that no on had even come looking for him, though he wasn't too sure if his father would be so pleased of his leaving, so he was sure that if anyone had come looking for him, it wouldn't be a nice encounter. He looked at Basil, "Where should I be at the time you speak with your father? Do you think I should be somewhere that would be easy to flee just in case he is mad?" Atlis wanted to have a backup plan just in case things went south
