The day was coming to an end, the sun was dipping below the trees as the older assassin trekked with his companions through the woods. It had been three days since they had been ordered to find the missing assassin and the Kings son. He brushed his blonde hair back and called for the horses to halt. “Maybe we should find shelter for the night?” He called to the two others, halting his horse. The large stallion let out a loud winnie as something dark flew over them. Enzo shivered, the breeze from the wings was breathtakingly cold. An odd sense of familiarity washed over him. He shook his head and turned his horse around. Enzo looked up at the sky again, his skin crawling with uncertainty, yet his face remained steel and emotionless. Olwen had gone missing days after she was sent out to find Atlis, and the king had grown impatient. He knew Olwen and Atlis were good friends since birth, but he had hoped that her training had changed her. Seemingly wrong, the three assassins were sent to find her, and much to their benefit, her steps had not been fully covered yet.

Bazil, the Zetta prince
The day had been long. Atlis was safely back at the castle with his mother, the queen had returned home, and Olwen had left to complete her mission. Bazil was plagued with mixed emotions as he made his way to the dining hall for dinner. It was likely going to be something of an awkward meal. The half-elf prince was vaguely aware of the former affair between Eadrid and his father. He didn't know the details, but knew enough that it was a sore subject between the king, his father, and Eadrid. Bazil was vaguely aware of the meeting they had earlier, and hoped that any problems that had arose were already dealt with. A part of him doubted that would be the case, however he still held onto the hope that the evening meal would be civil.
After wandering through the halls, Bazil finally ended up at the dining room. Drawing on a deep breath, he carefully entered only to find Queen Lorina waiting. She turned to see who entered, and offered a small smile to the half-elf as he arrived.
"Bazil, it's good to see you again," she kindly noted, welcoming him with a hug. Bazil returned both the smile and embrace, glad to see his step-mother was okay. He eventually sat down after a moment, ready to see what would come.
Olwen, the Virelith assassin
Olwen travled through the forest. It had already been half a day and she had mad considerable ground. She didn't know what to expect, but hoped that no one else had been sent out just yet.
(Just finished my last final a few days ago, so I'm free! Also I'm ready to continue the RP and such because that's all over. Again, sorry for the wait.)

(Thats exciting news! I've been in an odd headspace the past few months because everyone I went to school with has graduated college this year and its hard because Aftermy third year i had to drop out because I moved to the other side of the state and havent found a good college yet to start again. I know I'll get back into it, I just feel behind.)
Eadrid was sitting in the dining room with Queen Lorina and King sylis when Basil had decided to join. She smiled at the young prince as he welcomed his step-mother with such warmth. She was happy to see that the boy hada somewhat good relationship with the queen, after seeing Evanoras hostility. She offered a wave but nothing more. She knew the queen was uneasy with her presence in the castle, and bringing up old times with basil and his father would notbe her choice of conversation. Evanora Sat in her spot, her hands folded neatly. she waited for Basil to acknowledge her, seeing that she was still grumpy from even having to be in the same room as her step mom. She knew that her and basil had a good relationship, and she was in no way jealous of him, but had this odd burning dislike for the Queen.
Enzo dismounted his horse. The sun was low and he had grown quite hungry in the last few hours of searching. He opened the little pouch that sat on the back of his horse that contained what little food they had left to eat. He pulled out a sandwhich and began to munch when he heard some thing in the bushes rustling. He signaled for the groupto pay attention and draw their weapons. "Who is there!"He called, expecting an answer.

Bazil, the Zetta prince
Bazil acknowledged the guests with a small nod. He eventually took his spot by his sister and greeted her with a side hug. "How are you doing?" He mumbled as he settled into his spot. He glanced around for Atlis and Olwen, only to stop himself. The assassin woman was gone, unlikely to return. A part of his was relieved for that. Being around such a person made him uncomfortable. However, he also felt for Eadrid and the other prince. They had just got someone they cared about back, and now she was off to complete a dangerous mission.
Bazil wasn't left to his thoughts for long. Dinner was soon served and everyone was ready to eat.
Olwen, the Virelith assassin
The assassin continued in silence. She managed to make good ground unseen and unheard. She though everything was going well, then she heard voices. Olwen froze as Enzo called out. People had been sent after her, and they were so close to the castle. The young woman looked around for a moment, trying to figure out what to do. If she revealed herself, the other assassins would ask her questions and maybe realize something was up. If she didn't and was caught, that could spell deadly consequences for her, unless she was able to lie her way out of the situation. Olwen bit her lip and eventually silently crouched down. She could hear movement in the nearby camp, but dared not to make a sound.
"Give it a break Enzo, it's probably an animal or something," one of the assassins muttered. Olwen quietly let out a breath, hoping Enzo wouldn't investigate further.
(I'm sorry you feel that way. I hope you're able together back into the grove of things soon and further your college education as you want. I get it. For the past three or so semesters, I've only managed to take a class or two per semester. But at least I can still do something. I really hope you can find a good college. You probably mean it as this, but maybe look at local community colleges?)

Atlis scooted his chair up and smiled at Basil. "How has your evening been? Quiet?" He offered as a joke. Between being forbidden to go out with his two new friends and saying goodbye to his old friend Olwen as she set out on a dangerous journey to find his father, or to stay out in the woods to cover their tracks and come back. What ever happened, he knew that Olwen was smart and that she still cared about him and his mother. He half laughed and looked down at his cup of water. He took hold o fit and began to chug. After he had finished, he let out a massive belch and laughed. Things werent the best right now, tensions were high, there were unwelcome guests staying in the castle, but why not enjoy this time of safety and security.
Enzo punched the air. "We HAVE to be close. That was way to big of a movement to be an animal." He cursed, spat and turned around. He shook his head and turned around. "We need some one to keep watch while we take turns resting. We cannot let anything go unseen around here. Were still in our territory but that doesnt mean were not close to finding out what happened." Irritation laced his voice. Olwen was smart, probably one of the smartest assassins their kingdom had to offer. If she was indeed hiding the Prince, it would be difficult to find one, or both, but not impossible. He threw out his blanket on the saddle of the horse and laid back to rest. "At dawn, we move." He called.

Bazil, the Zetta Prince The half-elf grinned at his friend's attempt at a joke. "You know what, there's a reason why you're a prince and not a comedian," he teased with a playful nudge. A few muttered conversations contiuned at the table as Bazil began to eat. He hadn't had anything since the brunch that morning with his father, Eadrid, his sister, and Atlis. He was grateful for the warm meal and mostly relaxing evening.
Atlis gulped down his beverage and finished it off with a burp. Bazil laughed and did the same, encouraging his friend. This earned a glare from Queen Lorina. She cleared her throat and eyed the pair for a moment.
"You two are young men, princes at that. If you want to behave that way, do so in your own time and not at a dinner table with others who find that behavior aberrant. And Bazil, I expected better from you," she scolded. The half-elf began to redden, his ears drooping slightly from embarrassment.
Olwen, the Virelith Assassin Olwen could hear Enzo passionately exclaiming that there was no animal. That it was too big. The assassin lightly bit her lip, unsure of what to do. If she came out now, the consequences wouldn't be terrible. However she also couldn't slip away to warn anyone. For the time being, Olwen stayed put to watch what would happen.
"I'll take the first watch," one of the assassins said. Olwen recognized the voice belonging to a woman named Tristen. She was a few years older than Olwen and never liked her. Perhaps she was jealousy that Olwen was the daughter of the assassin leader or maybe she just didn't like anyone. The young woman had never been sure.
After a moment, Tristen spoke up again. "Why are we stopping anyway? I mean, I know you have lead on this mission but wouldn't it make sense to contiune through the night? No one is supposed to know we're here, Enzo. The longer we linger around, the more likely it is we'll get caught," she pointed out. Challenging the man was was a bad idea, but Olwen wasn't about to say anything.

Atlis stared at the Queen as she scolded the two young princes. His face burned with embarrassment and irritation. He stabbed his meat with a fork and chewed.
Queen Eadrid scowled. "I will correct my own child." She threatened through gritted teeth. Her and Lorina have never gotten alone when it came to family issues, and seeing that she was held captive and taking refuge in an enemy kingdom and tensions were already high. The Queens abrupt disrespect set Eadrid on edge. "They did nothing wrong, and seeing the amount of stress they've been under the past few days, don't you think its in order to have a little but of fun?" She knew that the laws a price were to follow were strict, and stiff, but an unmoving Prince, makes an unmoving king, and eventually becomes a tyrant.
King Sylis swallowed hard at Eadrids response to his wifes correction to the princes attempt at humor. He lightly set down his drink and stared at the opposing queen. Swallowing quietly, he swallowed again, waiting to see what his wifes reaction would be before he opened his mouth.

Enzo took a deep breath and stared up at the stars. Anger flared in his chest. Had he just been challenged? Threatened? He sat up and looked at Tristen, his eyes shining grey. "Im sorry, kid, but were you put in charge of this search?" He didn't like any one of his fellow assassins, and the desire to growing ranks were the fuel for him, and seeing that their king had a sudden change of heart, he knew an easy way to gain his favor. Violence. He jumped off his horse and drew his sword quickly. "Maybe if you want to start making decisions around here, you should be in a different poition." He sung hard, missing the other assassins faec by a mere cenimeter. He laughed and stepped forward, ready to strike again.

Bazil, the Zetta Prince/b]
Bazil watched the queen eye Eadrid for a moment. Was there about to be an argument? He could feel his ears began to burn, however he kept his cool. Quietly he contiuned to eat as Eadrid snapped back at his step-mother. The half-elf cringed despite his efforts to remain still. Lorina was quiet.
"Those aren't proper table manners. It would be fine- albeit disappointing -if they did it in theor own time. There are other people present, people who don't appreciate such rudeness at the dinner table." The queen paused for a moment and let her eyes wander over the young princes. "With that said, I suppose you have a point. Atlis is your son and it is up to you to decide what behaviors are acceptable and not. I suppose letting them have a little fun doesn't hurt, but my point about others at the table still stands."
With that, Lorina was done speaking. She took a careful sip of her drink, gaze falling towards her husband. As the king and the main authority at the table, he needed to weigh in.
Olwen, the Virelith Assassin
Tristen rolled her eyes, unfazed by the older man's display. "Obviously not. I was just saying." There was an annoyance to her voice as she answered him. As the woman stared off into the forest, Enzo leapt off his horse and pulled out his blade. With delicate precision, he lashed the weapon towards her, missing Tristan's face by mere inches. As he pulled it away, the assassin jumped back and threw up her hands.
"Woah! Okay, okay! Sorry for questioning you!" Tristan let out a long sigh as she took another step back. "I won't do it again if you don't try and kill me next time." The third assassin snickered as everything seemed to calm down some. Olwen, who hadn't seen what had happened, grimaced. Enzo was always so protective of his position and authority. She had her butt kicked by him several times for one thing or another. Sometimes, it was a sigh that he seemed disrespectful while others involved him already being in a bad mood and her giving him the wrong look. It was diffcult to tell when someone would face his ire from one day to the next. Drawing in a quiet, steady breath, Olwen slowly moved from her spot. If the Virelithins sent Enzo out it meant there was only danger for Atlis and the Zettan royals.
(This took too long, I'm so sorry. Had a bit of writer's block and I started my new job Monday, but I'm glad I finally got something posted after nearly a month.)

(Hey Friend! Life is so busy again lol)
The Once declared dead Queen nodded, the situation had deescalated, and with that, the tension had settled into an unspoken disgust. There were things to be done, and arguing about little burps were the least of this groups problem. "Well Sylis, any thoughts from the King?" Her words had a hint of hostility, but she remained respectful.
The king wiped his mouth with the corner of the napkin that had once held a muffin. He held his tongue from lashing out many times before. "So We need to obviously increase border guard, with less breaks, no leaneancy with what makes its easy through to our land. No on comes in, no one goes out." He shruggged. "There really isnt much we can do until we have more on the situation at hand."
Enzo took a deep breath and lowered his sword. Tristen always seemed at his throat most of the time they were assigned anything together, and this mission was extra stressful on everyone in the Kingdom. "We have work to do. We are here to find the Prince, and that good for nothing assassin." He scoffed the last part out, sheathing his sword. "If you can still call a traitor that." He kicked a rock, sending in right into the bush where the very thing they were looking for,w as hiding. "Now get some rest, like i ordered." He hopped up onto his horse and threw the reins around. "Im going to do one more patrol of this area. Dont cause any problems while im away." He eyes Tristen before turning to leave.
