Do you maybe want to start with the boy [Atlis] possibly arguing with someone and then have him run away? Im not too entirely sure where we should start xD

There are a few places we could start. One would be some interaction between Atlis and Olwen before he runs away. Another is Atlis arriving in the other kingdom seeking help from the royals there. The last could be Atlis has been in the other kingdom for a while now and the assassians have launched their attack on the other kingdom and the royals escaping with the assassian.

Alright sounds good. Also I don't mind you starting if you have something in mind. Also if you don't mind I can post some kingdom name ideas on the original post so we can actually know what we're talking about.

A bead of sweat dripped from the young travelers eyebrow, his back heavy with traveling material that should he had packed with hopes of it lasting him days. Swiping the sweat away from falling into his eye, the young man looked up, was that a castle he saw in the distance? Hope swelled in his chest, causing tears to swell in his eyes. Mother would have been proud. He thought to himself. It had been three years since her death and only a few short months since his father had fallen off the deep end, surrounding himself with the naysayers of other kingdoms, causing tensions to rise unnecessarily. His older siblings soon rose to join unearthly battles, bloodying the ground of his once peaceful homeland, his younger siblings blind to the pending doom. One free night when his father and older siblings were away at a meeting with what was left of the kingdoms guard, Atlis saw his change to flee. Atlis tightened his grip on the cheaply made leather backpack strap, took a deep breath, and trudged onward. Maybe this castle is a part of a separate Kingdom that would allow me refuge.... He thought to himself. Since he was a young boy, his father would keep secrets from him, his only hope being his mother to know what was happening around him.

(Real quick I made Bazil a half-elf with some Orc ancestry. I can always change this if you want Evanora to be human/something else, or we can make them half-siblings.)
A thunder of hooves shook the forest as Bazil took a lesierly ride. Well lesierly was putting it lightly. It was more like the prince was riding as fast as he could for the joy of it. The man loved feeling the cool wind through his hair and the freedom he felt. Not only was it a chance to mindlessly ride through the kingdom, but he was away from the castle. Away from responsibilities and doting staff. Away from the worrying of the guards who were usually by his side. It was his time to relax.
At least that's what it was usually for. As he road through the forest instead of finding plants abound and animals roaming, he found a person. Another man- younger than himself in fact -wandering around. So far it appeared the stranger wasn't alerted to his presence., just walking. Bazil narrowed his eyes curiously as he slowed his horse. Turning the slender mare around, he approched the man.
"Hello sir, what brings you out to the wood?"

( we can make them half siblings, that would be more fun!!)
Atlis grabbed at the knife strapped to his trousers in shock. He stopped dead in his tracks with his mouth open slightly. run. fast. Why is this man here? Who is this man? Quickly sizing him up, Atlis realized he stood no chance against him. Fear glazed his eyes as he stood frozen to ground where he stood. "um...." He said shakily, his hand tightening on the knife. "I'm just out for a stroll..." He stammered, his eyes glancing around the mans features, catching him off guard a bit.

(Alright sounds good with me! And in that case should we have it be a situation where Bazil (or even his sister if you wanted) was illigitment and not an heir or something like the ruler was married to Bazil's parent and they died before remarrying and having his sister.)
The man pulled his horse back and blinked in slight surprise towards the travler. "Sorry if I startled you, probably could've handled that better." Bazil paused for a moment and gazed at the stranger briefly.
"What brings you out here anyway, especially so close to the castle grounds? I know the guards there can be, uh, testy." Bazil chuckled to himself as he thought about the castle guards. They took their jobs very seriously and often patrolled the area. Although they never made it out that far, the further the travler went the more likely he'd run into them. That told the prince he wasn't from the area.
(Ah boredom. It always sucks.)

(Evanora can e the one who isnt royal, that gives her an excuse to be mad later lol.)
Atlis took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I didn't even think about guards." He huffed. It had been months, if not even years since the guards of his kingdom did their jobs. He shook his head, his eyes dropping to the ground. He had been rather careless with his travel so far, and that even surprised himself. My mother raised me better than that! he inwardly shamed himself.
His eyes shot up with a sudden epiphany. "So you're not a guard?" He asked, confusion lacing his voice. "I just kind of assumed since..." His voice trailed and his hand gestured towards his horse and his clothing. "Im Atlis."

(That sounds good to me~)
"No worries, they don't usually patrol out here," Bazil explained. "It's a good idea to keep an eye out for them still, though. They can be stubborn people, especially if Val's with them." He mumbled the last part and shuttered slightly at the mention of the musclar woman. Value was one of the head guards and she took her job very seriously. It didn't matter that he and Evanora were royalty, no one was safe from her harsh words.
Pushing the thoughts away the prince gazed at the travler through friendly green eyes. "No I'm not a guard, though I...work at the castle." Fool, Bazil inwardly scolded himself. He didn't know the stranger was. Although he hadn't made any move to attack, not telling him about his royal heritage was likely for the best.
Bazil smiled as Atlis introduced himself. "Nice to meet you my good sir. I'm Bazil."

(I'm on my phone so I'm sorry if the typos are really bad 😂)
Atlis squinted. "Val sounds like a horrible man..." He mumbled, not realizing that the person Basil spoke of was a woman and not a man. "You work at the castle?" Atlis pulled his backpack off his shoulder slowly, pulling out a canteen water. He was glad he packed rather cheap things for fear of being recognized as a prince. The last thing he needed was to be brought back home to his father. "Regardless. It's nice to meet you as well." He nodded as he tilted his head back for a drink of fresh water.
"So if you don't mind me asking, why are YOU out here so far away from everything?" He questioned.

(No worries. I'm on my phone too and the internet connection is spotty, so replies may be a bit sporadic. Also should Evanora and Bazil share a mother or father?)
Bazil laughed, his ears wiggling under his hair as he eyed the travler. "Val's a woman. A scary woman at that. I like her well enough, though. The palace wouldn't be the same without her." The man paused as Atlis contiuned to speak. He seemed a bit uneasy, though the prince could hardly blame him. Everything Bazil had told him likely freaked the other man out. "Anyway I do indeed work at the castle. The staff is full of kind people and people who don't like me. Probably because I can be bothersome." He paused for a moment and offered a friendly smile. Once again his pointsd ears wiggled slightly at Atlis' question.
"Well I'm out for a ride," the man replied with a chuckle as he gestered to his horse. He gave her a pat on the neck as he studied the stranger briefly.
"Hey if you want I can bring you to the castle and get you a meal. The kitchen staff like me. Well tolerate me. Point is I'm liked enough to get a meal for a friend." He paused for a moment, curious if the travler would take him up on his offer.

(Sorry it took me so long to respond, I was traveling around this weekend and didn't even hardly get a minute to sit.)
Atlis smiled, noticing the little ear wiggles from the strange man that sat before him on this horse.
The thought of food made his stomach growl in hunger. "Honestly, that would be wonderful." A look of utter tiredness and defeat came over his whole being. His shoulders slouched with an unseen weight. He had been traveling for an unknown number of days, he missed his family - as crazy and unfiltered as they may be- and he just wanted to lay down in his bed and sleep.

(Don't worry about it, I completely understand. Also the length if your post is fine.)
The half-elf nodded. "Alright. In that case follow me." Being the prince, Bazil had snuck out on many occasions. He new various ways to enter the castle without being detected. It seemed that would be the best idea. Less people around to spot them and ask questions. Beyond that he didn't want to explain why he had an unkempt travler with him.
Turning his attention back towards Atlis, he noticed how tired the man was. After a moment if hesitation, he got off his horse and lead her closer towards the travler. "You look exhausted. You want to ride Bluebell back to the palace?"

(Also, to answer our previous question, they could have the same dad and a different mom.)
Atlis smiled. "That would be wonderful." He said, looking at the man gratefully. He waited as Basil slid off his horse and stepped up easily. He had been taking horse lessons since he was three, so riding came naturally to him.
It wasn't until he had been on the horses back for a few moments that he realized how bad his feet hurt him. He glanced down at Basil, now able to get a better view of him. He noticed his elf-like features better from up here, causing many questions to come to his mind. Am I dreaming?? Did I hit my head and I'm seeing things?? He tried not to make it too obvious, so he looked away towards the bright blue sky above him. There was a slight chill in the air, just enough for it to be refreshing. "It almost feels as though its going to rain soon..." He mentioned, sniffing the air. After a brief pause, he licked his lips and asked warily "Is it going to be safe to bring an outsider into your castle?" Knowing what his father would do to him and the other person if he had ever pulled a stunt like this cause him to shutter.

(Sounds good to me.)
The mare let out a snort, but didn't seem to mind the change in rider. Bazil began to lead the way back towards the castle. He knew the surrounding forest well. So well in fact that he could likely navigate it with his eyes closed. At the mention of rain, the prince gazed up at the sky. There were no clouds, though the air around them was cool. It wasn't entirely surprising considering the season. Bazil offered a smile at Atlis' concern. "You're with me, so you'll be safe."
He paused and continued to lead them to the palace. They were close and would reach the grounds in a matter of minutes. As they headed along, Bazil glanced towards the travler. "So where are you from anyway, Atlis? And what brings you to the area? I apologize for my noseiness, you could say it's part of my job."
That was partically true. As a member of the royal family and heir to his throne, Bazil had to know who was around his kingdom. Of course part of it was also done out of curiosity. Most people, even those who didn't grow up in the area, knew to be weary of the forest around it. But Atlis didn't seem to really know what he was doing. Or perhaps he just didn't care. Bazil couldn't entierly be sure.
