Quick question for the timeline! What batch of kits/apprentices are going to be the ones that end up stuck on the mainland? I kinda have an idea for an apprentice that would be good for that, but I don't know if he needs to be kit to start out, or if the plot line is gonna be sooner lol

hmm as for the plot i'm not sure. i'm not sure how long we're gonna drag out the drought and disease, so i don't want to strand them too early? as for the first incident (where the one apprentice that doesn't go gets injured)th9ose would probably be middle aged apprentices at the beginning. It might be fun to make the apprentices stuck on the mainland together be the kits of the leader x leader/deputy relationship? especially if we wanted to play around with kale's idea of one of the leaders having a double life with another mate in their own clan? Idk I'd say the wouldn't be born at the moment.
hmmm i'm not sure if there'd be alligators since they are freshwater not saltwater creatures. However, we could possibly have a plot with an american crocodile or two?

Maybe gators can travel from the mainland to the island during breeding season or something?? As for the apprentices, I think that sounds good. It will sew the seeds of friendship lol I have an apprentice we can have join the island group, if that works. If not tho that's all good.

Hmmm maybe sparks. We could make the water surrounding the island brackish water which gators can survive in for limited amounts of time?

There's always the option of using salt water crocs, those bois are DANGEROUS. I think I read something that said they have been found out in the ocean before.

Yeah crocodiles are typically saltwater creatures while alligators are fresh water. American crocs are brutal tho.

so here’s another idea to add on to history/a potential future plot point that spark and i discussed:
pre-established historical points that are really important to this:
- coveclan was created when the cypressclan deputy was exhiled for killing a palmclan cat
alright sooo what if said cypressclan deputy and “cypressstar” had a romance (along with kits). when the deputy got exhiled, cypressstar spiraled (somewhat like bluestar during the whole tigerstar situation). they gave the kits up to palmclan as somewhat of a trade - take the kits, and the deputy stays. they take the kits and don’t keep up their end - the deputy is exhiled, and they go to create coveclan.
so now we have cats in palmclan who think very highly of themselves and despise coveclan and cypressclan because they don’t “worship starclan the same way” and because of the history that they learned growing up (that it was a cypressclan cat killing a palmclan one . i’d imagine they’re around the grandparent generation now, and if they somehow eventually learn about their heritage it would change their perception of everything. since i’m making a palmclan queen, maybe her and her kits could be descendents? it would be a huge slap in the face to all of them i’d imagine |

well i’m pretty sure that the medicine cat position is split into healers (self explanatory) and prophets (they get visions and are the closest to starclan). there are 2 healers per clan i’m pretty sure.
i’d like to claim one from a clan (literally any clan except cypress haha) i love rping medicine cats |

oooooooo i really like the idea rose! maybe it was meant to have the descendants of the founding cats in each clan? like maybe palm had no kits at the time of their death, and some of the other clanmates were especially angry since they saw their leaders as chosen by starclan? idk just an idea?

when it comes to joining forms (i saw this in another rp and asked permission to suggest the idea) we could ask for 3 basic traits - a positive, a neutral, and a negative. that way, every character has a flaw and they’re actually open for development (rather than having to flush out every aspect of them in the joining form) |
