Mercurius noticed that Necro looked tired, but decided not to comment on it just yet. He simply said "Right, let's find somewhere to call it a night, huh?"
Fatid smiled slightly again at this, looking ahead as they went to follow the other family. They were soon arriving at an arena-esque construct. Not as grand as the one in Crystalline, but still something to marvel.
Remiel nodded in agreement. "Yes, I'm sure they'd be happy to meet you if there's ever an opportunity. Maybe you'll even get to meet my mother."

Necromancer nodded as he got up, "yes, lets. I bet youre all in need of rest from the day's travels. I know of a place not far from here with plenty of nicer rooms for us to stay in." He then proceeded to lead the way to the hotel, checking everyone in before eagerly going to his suite, which was of course connected to the rpm he signed Merucrius.
"Its nicer than I imagined." Criss said, "Ive seen much worse coliseums and battle arenas than this." She took in the sight before looking back to see where Colby and the cub were being taken. Colby was happily talking to the two young firesaurs, giggling at something that was said.
Cally smiled, "It would be an honor." she said, knowing how important his mother was of a monster, "I would like to tell her what a great son she's raised too."

As the others went off to their rooms, Mercurius would sneak glances at Necro before looking away sheepishly when he caught himself staring.
Fatid watched Colby happily talk with the monsters, telling Criss "Someone's getting along well with his new friends." He watched as one of the Firesaurs showed off their fire breath, though it was just a puff of flames so far.
Remiel smiled at this. "She'd be happy to meet you, I'm sure. She'll be happy regardless that we visit her." Surprisingly, despite the amount of living kids she had, few went to visit her. Remiel made sure to though.

Necromancer went into his own room without Mercurius, but immediacy unlocked the connecting doors and waited until Mercurius unlocked just side of the connecting doors to open it.
Despite it being small, Colby still pretended like it was the coolest thing he had ever seen. Criss smiled, “they’re so cute together. I’m glad he’s settled in so fast.”
“She sounds lovely.” Cally said, “I wish my parents would be the same.. well, my mother is quickly coming around. I think she knows that you all are keeping me safe, so why should she fear you? But my father...”

Mercurius smiled up at Necro when the door was opened. "The day went well, but I'd been waiting for it to end." He'd been itching for more alone time with him.
Fatid nodded in agreement. Eventually the group found some good seating. It would be another ten minutes or so before things began though.
Remiel sighed. "Maybe he'll come around eventually. Not many human hunters are keen on being friends with monsters. Or even tolerating them."

“I am too.” Necromancer said. He then smirked before promptly scooping Mercurius up and bringing over to his bed.
Criss looked to Fatid, “you know this could be the unofficial start of our date.” She said.
Calmly sighed, “I hope so. I want them to support us... but if they don’t I don’t care.”

Mercurius smiled at this, nuzzling into his neck before he had been set down.
Fatid tilted his head thoughtfully. "That is true. It could be." And he definitely wasn't complaining. He then looked across the arena as the angels arrived, landing in their private little section neatly, folding their wings as they sat down.
Remiel chuckled. "I wouldn't care too much either, but I also don't want you to form any real rifts with your family."

Necromancer smiled, “I could barely hold back today seeing how handsome you looked?~ though I think you could tell I was struggling~” he said as he crawled over Mercurius, gently pinning his hands down.
Criss smiled, allowing herself to blush at the idea. She then looked towards where the angels were landing, cheering with the rest of the crowd. Colby looked very excited as he watched, this being his first show like battle.
Cally was quiet before saying, “like I said. I don’t care what they would think..”

Mercurius smirked up at him. "I could tell~ But I think my struggling was more noticeable." He smiled with an almost embarrassed look. "I need to work on being more serious."
The announcer took a moment to introduce the brothers before introducing the first two fighters. The tournament that day would be one on one, unlike the usual cells of three. The first one out was a tall, green monster that looked like a semi-lean, muscular sumo wrestler, carrying a large spiked club as he stepped out, bright yellow eyes looking around as he gave a fanged grin. Oikawa. The second monster out was a semi-anthro polar bear, forepaws covered in ice and bearing an icy spear and tattered red cape. Ursus. Oikawa was an old, but seasoned warrior while Ursus was like a rising rookie. Both were Legend tier in power though.
Remiel nodded slowly again. "I see. Well either way, I'm still hoping to have all of them like me. I want both of our families happy."

“Yes. You do.” Necromancer said simply, “but it’s okay. We all have things we need to work on.” He said softly, leaning down to gently kiss Mercurius’ neck.
Colby cheered, grabbing the cub’s arm gently with excitement.
“They will. I’ll make them like you.” Cally said simply.

Mercurius smiled at this, arms going around him to keep him close. "Now that the day is over, we can give each other some more attention~"
The cub watched curiously, watching the two size each other up. Ursus roared loudly before charging. It seemed they would go hand-to-hand first, though Ursus was surprised when Oikawa just bulldozed him, lifting the larger bear up in both arms before slamming him back down.
Remiel laughed a little at this. "Well, I'm hoping with time that your dad mainly comes to see that Fatid and I aren't looking to hurt you."

“Precisely.” Necromancer said, his hands already wandering around Mercurius’ body.
Colby gasped, frowning a little as he tensed. This was exactly what his parents had warned him of! These monsters were scary.
“I do too.” Cally said softly, “they will. I’m sure of it. It’ll just take time.”

Fatid watched as Ursus used his hindlegs to push Oikawa off of him. Getting up, he grabbed his ice spear and went to ram the tip down. However, the green monster had swung his own weapon, causing the spear to go sideways and the momentum turning Ursus onto his side. Vines reached up from the ground to wrap around the bear's neck, choking him.
Remiel nodded. "Let's hope. Maybe we can find a day for your family and I to just go somewhere and spend time getting to know each other or something."

“Is he going to kill him?” Colby asked the firesaur next to him nervously. Meanwhile Criss was having a grand time cheering with the rest of the crowd.
“That would actually be very nice. It may be rough at first.. but it would definitely get us somewhere.” Cally said happily.

The firestar shook his head. "No, some of these monsters will need deadly force to be stopped though." It seemed to be working, Ursus slowly losing consciousness. He refused to tap out though, and ice started creeping along the vines, freezing them solid before shattering. Blue energy started glowing around the bear, and he seemed to start rapidly recovering as Oikawa grunted in confusion.
Remiel sniffed at that. "Hard might be an understatement." He thought for a minute as he continued on his food. "I know you and your family are good people though." Even if they were hunters, it didn't mean they were bad.

Colby nodded, feeling a little reassured by this. He then turned back to the fight.
Cally nodded and huffed softly, “both statements are true.” She then looked down at her food, “it’ll get better.” She said, trying to sound convincing.

Fatid watched as ice began to race across the ground, catching Oikawa's feet and proceeding to encase his entire body. The firesaurs watched curiously, waiting to see what would happen next.
Remiel nodded at this. "I'm sure it will. It's worth it too, if it means I get to spend time with such an amazing woman." His blue gaze was fond as he looked at her.

Both Criss and Colby also watched, though Criss was already anticipating what would happen in the next few moments.
Calmly blushed at this. She looked up and smiled softly. “You’re so sweet.” She said, “you’re the amazing one though.”

The trapped fighter started glowing with green power, and suddenly the ice shattered. Green energy reached out as well, vines writhing in and out of view. Ursus was wounded by the force of the ice, which were probably the equivalent of bullets as well as the vines reaching to try and grab him. Of course he focused on avoiding them, but this allowed Oikawa to get close and force them back to melee fighting.
Remiel smiled at this. "Not when you're around, huh?" He hadn't felt so attached to a human before. Well, to anyone before. "I'm just lucky you're deciding to give me a chance."

“Woah..” Colby said softly as he watched on with great interest. “Did you see that?” He asked the cub.
Cally tilted her head a little, “well of course. I’m not about to pass up the opportunity to go out with someone as sweet and handsome as you.” She said simply.

The cub nodded. "Maybe I will be like them when I'm big." He then watched as Oikawa put Ursus in a headlock. The bear tried scratching at his large arms, but each slash was almost instantly repairing itself every time Ursus scored the flesh. His scrabbling began to get weaker as he lost consciousness though.
Remiel couldn't help but blush as Cally said this. "Good thing you're letting me go on that job with you. I'd be worrying something awful if you went off alone."

Colby nodded. “You definitely will! I mean that monster created you and he’s pretty big and scary.” Colby still didn’t quite understand who Uriel really was.
“Aw, it’s sweet that you’d worry about me. And I’m actually really glad you’ve agreed to come along with me.” Cally admitted.

The cub looked over at Colby. "He scares you?" Then they had to go beat him up then!
Remiel smiled slightly. "I'm sure you could handle another hunter, maybe even Rabies on your own, but Rubellus is a whole other tier. You'd need help. Period."

Colby shrugged, “well he was at first. But I know looks dont reflect what’s on the inside. And I was right! He turned out to be pretty nice. I mean, he made you for me so.” He said with a small smile. “You were my first monster friend. Well, other than Fatid and Remiel and Criss, but you’re better in my opinion. Don’t tell them.”
“I could easily take on another hunter.” Cally said with a scoff. “But like you said with this. If you think I need help than I most likely need help.”

The cub smiled at this. "You're my first friend." Period. His whiskers twitched before he looked back to the fight, watching as Ursus eventually tapped out.
Remiel nodded. "I just don't want you taking on more than you can handle." It was easy to do for human hunters. "I know you can handle yourself though..."

Colby felt his heart swell at this. He couldn’t help but grin at the feeling. He then turned back to the battle as well. “I hope he’s okay.” Is all he said after Ursus lost.
“Well for the most part. It depends on if you catch me off guard or not. Like that one time when I was almost taken from Fatid as a pet..” Cally said, shuddering at the memory.

The cub nodded in agreement. "I could've won." Not. He then looked as Fatid said "We'll be seeing Oikawa again as the numbers narrow down." The fights would go quick. After the two were escorted out, the next two monsters walked out.
Remiel arched a brow. "What? When did that happen?" Did he have to go kill someone now?

“Yeah, you totally could have.” Colby said with a small laugh. He then looked back to the fight with a new excitement in his eyes.
Cally shrugged, “oh, it was a while ago when Fatid and I were traveling in Crystalline. I had a run in with Carlo who wanted to sell me. Luckily Fatid was there to tell him off. It made me really thankful to have him around.”

The cub looked proud of himself before looking at the two new fighters. Fatid raised a brow upon seeing one of them. A large, brown mechanical construct, with one large optic, one hand switched out for a large sword. The body itself was round, with long legs keeping it upright to be at least six feet tall. The opponent was a bipedal owl dressed in red and black robes, hood pulled up as he wielded his own sword as his wings flexed slightly. He was maybe half a foot shorter, but thin. It looked like the automaton could snap him in two.
Remiel furrowed his brow. "Well, good thing Fatid was there then. If I'd been there though, that stupid dog would have been set ablaze." His wings twitched in annoyance. "Everyone knows what those stuck-up dogs do, but no one who wants to bust them can ever find any actual proof."

Colby nudged the firesaur next to him as he continued to watch. “This seems like its going to be an easy fight huh?” He said softly.
“Well I have two witnesses so that’s a start.” Cally said. Her fists clenched on the table as she said, “I really want to bring them to justice.”
