"You are properly raised and trained, and I'm pretty sure whatever bloodline you have are not new to killing, yet here you are. Not itching to kill those near you. Our mounts do not have this problem. Though not all creatures are the same." It was a simple, casual tone as the unique mounts were taken to a place to settle, the Mchawi also instructing that some meat be given to them. The horses would also be fed, and as the Mchawi gave the instructions, another masked individual walked up. They only had one eye, but it was the same shade as the Mchawi, height slightly taller. The two exchanged greetings, fingers brushing against each other's masks.

“They aren’t as smart as us.” Said the guard handling one of the mounts. The creature let out a low, soft rumble as he gently pressed his head against the guard’s back in a fond gesture. “It’s just like if you were starving with nothing around here you’re allowed to eat, and then you see a chicken or cow.”

The Mchawi just paused for a moment. "You don't give other animals enough credit." They simply turned to lead the way inside after everyone's mounts were settled in and getting fed.

The guard who was in charge of the mounts went and got food, but then went back outside, preferring their company. He brought them some meat as well, but not nearly enough. Moksha and Roman quietly talked with one another, Roman even managing to get Moksha to let out a hardy laugh.

Alma was having a conversation with one of the locals, doing her best to speak in their language and earning a few snickers in return. The masked individuals didn't really remove their masks to eat either, simply tilting them outward slightly to allow food to be taken in while still hiding their faces. They did strike up conversation with the other groups though, but they were very selective with what they said about their own people.

Roman and Moksha continued to talk as they ate. The two kings seemed to be hitting it off quite well. They were also open as others joined their conversation.

After some time of eating and talking, the Mchawi walked over with the one they'd been talking to. Stopping by Moksha and Krisharya, the Mchawi stated simply "You said your lands are troubled during fall and winter, correct?"

“Yes.” Moksha said with a small nod. Roman also nodded, “but we cope.” He added, “though it is tough.”

The Mchawi just stared for a moment. "This is Tse-Tse, my daughter. Tse-Tse, accompanied by guards, can go to your home to examine your soils and figure out what plants can grow there in your dry seasons."

((Sorry meant Krisharya not Roman. But I think you knew that lol
Krisharya blinked as Moksha said, “the reason our plants die are because of the extremely cold weather and horrid winds and storms. Nothing survives. So if she can help us find plants that can somehow survive that I’m all ears.”

The Mchawi tilted their head. "Plants are surprisingly versatile, hardy creatures if you come across the right ones. Winter plagues us too, but we have plenty that grows during the cold days. Every environment is slightly different though, so there is no guarantee. Tse-Tse will bring seeds regardless and will hopefully get to plant them." The one beside them just blinked their single eye once. "You should have a steady supply of food even if you have others trading with you. Food that you grow yourself."

“I see. Forgive me, I am no plant person so I wouldn’t know. I only control what happens after the plants have been harvested. This is more of Hakan’s area of knowledge.” Moksha explained. He looked to Tse-Tse, “we’d love your help.”

Tse-Tse studied Moksha. "We will see when I get there. Are your people picky about what plants they eat?" Probably not, considering fall and winter was apparently allowing little plants to be had. "I think herbs would probably be a problem for you too."

Moksha chuckled, “no they aren’t picky at all. They take what they can get.” He told her. “We have herbs, but they only grow in small greenhouses during the winter seasons. They’re nothing compared to our numbers.”

Alma listened in before saying "If you get help with plant growth, maybe we can give you some seeds if we have anything that might grow there."

Krisharya looked to Alma in slight surprise before saying, “that would be nice.”

The Mchawi then said "From what has been said, your work with plants cripples you. In fall and winter anyway. That might be detrimental once this war really starts."

Moksha was well aware of this. “Yes.” He said softly, “yet we still want to help as much as we can. And to provide for the other kingdoms as well.” He added.

Tse-Tse listened silently before talking. "That is why I will go look at your lands. Do you have people that actually handle plants there that I can speak with too?"

“Yes. We have a few large groups who work together to cultivate land. I’ll have you speak with the ones in charge.” Moksha said. “I should also mention that we live in a very dense forest climate. We mainly live in treehouses since they trees are so big, but we also have many buildings on the ground, obviously. If that affects what plants will grow there it’s good to point out.” He said.

Tse-Tse nodded. "It does, but sometimes land can be... reasoned with. It depends on what you say to and give it in some cases."

“Alright. Well we’ll see as much when you come to our land alright?” Moksha said gently before going back to his food. Krisharya also offered a smile, but was mainly focused on her meal.

Tse-Tse just nodded once before excusing herself to go and sit down. Alma sighed softly in relief before saying "I'm glad we're starting to make progress. We all need to be helping each other now."

Krisharya looked to Alma, “on behalf of my son. Please, let us start over.” She said. Before Alma could answer Roman answered with, “agreed. No need to go into this with grudges. Right, my lovely wife?” He said, using the term in a purposefully irritating way, almost as if scolding her doing just that.

Alma just raised a brow at Roman. Of course she was going to be mad at these people. Especially since Hakan was essentially getting off scott free for killing her people. "There are more pressing matters to focus on. You and I will talk about "grudges" later." Her tone was light, casual, but with a slight touch of annoyance as well.

Roman sighed softly, “yes. We will.” He said softly. Moksha and Krisharya both looked between them quietly before looking to each other knowingly. They had many fights in the past so they knew when one was to come. “Please, allow Hakan to make it up to you. He can do labor in your kingdom. Community service.. of sorts.” Krisharya offered. Hakan made a face of annoyance, “why?” He hissed. Krisharya then spoke to him in her native language and Hakan beared his fangs, letting out a sound of frustration. Krisharya then promptly hit him on the top of his head, not enough to hurt too bad, but enough to scold him.

Alma shook her head. "No. Just make sure he doesn't screw up like he did before in future matters. He'll be of more use planning for war with his people than working in a foreign land."

Krisharya seemed surprised by this reaction but vowed her head as a sign of acceptance and respect. She then went back to her food, finishing soon after.

Alma knew addressing the matter at that moment would be less productive than not, so she just decided to drop it for now. She assumed Hakan to at least be smart enough to not male such a stupid mistake again. As she thought it over, she also finished her food, sitting back a little with a content sigh.

When Roman finished his meal he ordered one of the guards to go check on and water the horses. He really just wanted to go to sleep now, having had little to no sleep the past week.
