I feel sick if I read in a car, but I can read just fine in a plane, so generally I try to finish my books before attempting to sleep. Listening to music helps though and I found a new artist to listen to so that went well. I don't think I've been that bad with turbulence before...

Welcome back, Fuzzy! :3
Well, I didn't find anything new about the game, but I found the anime. I watched some of the Despair Arc, and WOW does it live up to its name. :| I miss Fuyuhiko, Peko, and Gundam's former English voice actors, by the way. (And I guess Ayane's, too. (Wait, that was her name, right? Ayane?)) Hearing them with new voices sounds odd. Also, I'm wondering why Chiaki is there.
I traveled by plane to California and back home a few years ago. I don't remember being scared; I think I was just impressed by the clouds and the bird's eye view of the ground. Also, I remember reading The Fourth Apprentice and then falling asleep. XD But now, I don't think I'd go on a plane willingly. I guess I've watched too many news reports about drunk pilots and luggage thefts and terrorist attacks. -_- Also, heights make me nervous.

Akane you mean? I don't remember an Ayane. I don't know their new voice actors yet.
I just dislike turbulence and accidents. Heights are okay so long as I'm not looking over a bridge or something.

I haven't watched any of the anime mainly because I don't want my parents to get suspicious if I have earbuds in (and I don't really know where to watch it outside of yt that doesn't involve viruses.) Are you thinking of Akane, by any chance? I think that was her name? I'm usually fine on planes aside from the one incident (shudders.) Flying is apparently way safer than, for example, driving (which is something I should be learning but am refusing to because I am terrified.)

I watch anime on kissanime but crunchyroll is generally very clean, but you have to deal with ads every ten minutes. In case you want good places to watch.

Nobody has spoken on here lately, but I wanted to say I started school yesterday.
I have friends in three of my classes; my "ex" (it was not a relationship I promise) is in my geometry, as is the girl who pushed us together; I'm in Honors Biology, Honors English, and AP World History as well as Japanese 3 so I have quite a few tough classes; everybody in my Art 1 class (or at least in my group) is a freshman that is only there for the credits; and my class schedules are so weird because we don't have consistent periods.

I had a half day of school yesterday, but today I was so sick that I was unable to go in to school at all. I also haven't eaten anything all day. I'm honestly surprised I'm still semi-functional.

Ohh, I hope you're okay tomorrow. It usually passes after a day for me, but usually, I don't get sick. Last time, I only got sick because the day before I had been walking home in the pouring rain, and even then I was only really tired.
Also, I had a full day even though we should have gotten two hours off like usual on Wednesday. It was weird.

I'm feeling better than I was yesterday, but that's still not good. Yesterday I slept for most of the day. I went into school today, didn't really miss too much since it's just the beginning of school. I usually don't get sick, and last year I didn't have a single absence (aside from band trips, but those don't really count.) Really getting this year off to a great start :/

Oh yes, this year has been great. From politics to holidays, I've just been having the best year. School has been going just swell.
I hope you picked up on the sarcasm there.

Nice to meet you.
Apparently grade eleven means way more homework, I actually have homework (which is something I never used to have) and I really don't like it. Plus my brother is practicing his music downstairs which is kind of distracting. This is my method of procrastinating

Yeah it was the fifth day of school today and yesterday I had to finish an essay, ten reading questions, annotations on six page packet, and geometry homework. Fun. Buuut I'll get used to it and hopefully I'll start actually doing homework when I get home.

Yikes. I haven't had all that much technically, just a bio worksheet and math questions today. I should be doing homework but I'm just so tired and can't focus on the math at all. (Quadratic equations are pretty simple except for when they're suddenly not anymore, sigh.)

I think that the homework has mostly subsided for me, but that may be because I have a few tests coming up. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing in math, so that's concerning. I think I understand bio pretty well though.

Ughhh just this weekend, I've had two English assignments, 21 pages worth of reading that I have to take notes on, and a biology pre-lab. The only thing that isn't a big deal is, ironically, my Japanese homework.

That is quite a lot of stuff. I don't know if it's just my school system or my ability to rush through my work to get it completed quickly, but I barely ever have homework and when I do it's just a little bit. I can't seem to work well at home at all so if I had that much homework I would probably fail. :/

I did that horrible thing where I was going to type up a response to a post later but forgot completely and... it's been months.
I still check up on here even though I am extremely inactive, so hi! I've been drowning in a full course load + an extra online course so that I can complete all my courses in addition to attempting to actually put in effort to writing a decent novel, so I have been quite overwhelmed recently. aha. How about you?

I do that a lot so you're not alone :,>
I've been playing some cool game series I found called Disgaea with my computer. ;.u. My computer's only a little bit better than a potato, so it gets laggy sometimes and it sometimes (but VERY rarely) even crashes. But it's cool. So yeh. So, you're writing a novel, huh? Cool! What's it about?

What's that game about?
I honestly don't know how to describe the novel and have no idea how I came up with it. The general idea of it is that this girl goes on a quest to save her friend who did some pretty bad things like join a magical cult and murder people. I wrote it over NaNoWriMo this year and edited it last month and am getting around to starting the second draft today, hopefully!

All the games have different plots, but in general, it's some crazy, funny thing about demons in the Netherworld. Nice demons. Sort of. Sometimes angels show up, too. Nice angels. Mostly. Disgaea games are also strategy games, sort of like Fire Emblem, if you know what that is. It's cool. Sounds cool! When you're done writing, I'll read it. Also, I've never heard of NaNoWriMo until just now. What is it?

That sounds interesting! I want to get into playing more games but I'm pretty sure that will just allow me to procrastinate even more than I am already. NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month, which takes place in November and is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. I've been doing it for five years now, I think, but I've only won twice. This most recent one was my most successful one! It's a lot of fun but is also pretty stressful because you pretty much have to write nearly 2000 words every day to reach the goal.

Wow, that's a lot of words in such a short time! Only a month... geez! I can barely even write an essay in that time, so it's really impressive to me that you can write an entire story in that time. :0 Congratulations on winning twice, by the way. So, what will your novel be called, anyway?
|
|
|
Post by fuzzytail333 on Mar 4, 2017 18:29:51 GMT -5
It is a lot of words! I managed to get to about 57,000 by the end of the month but I was still a couple thousand away from finishing my story, so I'll have to do that this time around. The problem with doing NaNoWriMo is that you end up rushing a lot, so there were a lot of plot points that didn't make sense and didn't work so now I have to rewrite it.
I was very proud of winning twice until my real life friend tried it for the first time this year and won, I am very jealous The novel is called Swan Song, based off the idea of a swan song and also the fact that I unnecessarily threw a lot of swans into the novel for symbolism. (It was supposed to be gulls! But gulls are less poetic, hence: swans. There are still a lot of gulls as a metaphor for death, though. No idea what swans symbolize most of the time.) I am generally really, really bad at titles so there is probably a better one that I could come up with, but as far as titles go this one works for now.

Wow! That's a long story. ,xD By the way, are you required to rewrite the story, or are you just doing it for fun? Also, what were you trying to symbolize with swans? Death, like the gulls? Am I asking too many questions? Should I stop?

Post by fuzzytail333 on Mar 4, 2017 20:34:36 GMT -5
I'm not required to rewrite it, I just wanted to because I would like the story to be somewhat readable! There were a lot of major errors and stuff in the original... yikes... I honestly don't know what I was trying to symbolize with swans. I mostly ended up using swans sort of to symbolize this one character who did a lot of bad stuff and at one point assumed a secret identity where she wore a swan mask, sooo it's probably that one character + evil + maybe some death + a lot of question marks?? I should probably work that out sometime. You're not asking too many questions! I like talking about it!

Oh, okay. ...and now I'm at a loss at what to say ._.' Uh... so is this character, like, the main antagonist?
|
|
|
Post by fuzzytail333 on Mar 4, 2017 23:18:36 GMT -5
She's sort of the main antagonist, but it's really complicated and I don't really have the words to describe it... she ended up doing bad things, but she was sort of forced into it in a "if you try to back out of this evil magic cult it will be very bad for you" sort of way, and she's also best friends with the protagonist! So. I think the main antagonist isn't named until something like a third of the way through the novel and doesn't actually appear until the last chapter, and he sort of works as a background villain in the sense of other characters do bad things in his name. He tries to bring the dead back to life, but it doesn't really work like that, and if his plans would work it would more or less unleash a bunch of weird ghosts into the living world which would make everything dead.
