"Good to know." Calvin answered as he stops sharpening the blade and examines it once more. "My job is to make weapons and arms for everyone. It's not my business to know what they are used for." He walks back to the counter and hands it over to her. "That will be thirty gold."

"Thirty coppers you mean. No one's paying real gold coins for a blade repair, and few people outside of the wealthy district have even seen one." She tossed him the thirty coppers and took her blade.

((Gotcha. Beyza probably refers to him as Serhan because that's just how she is lmao. Also, I have plans on making a peasant boy and a griffin later on. I'm guessing since I play the queen, the current prince/princess rule wouldn't apply, right?))
Beyza reached up to touch her chin and felt a few droplets of fresh blood from her coughs. As the servant girl approached, Beyza all but yanked out a cloth from the poor girl's hand. Hastily, though wobbly, she dabbed her own blood away and allowed the girl to help her up out of her chair. "The library," the queen answered as she rose out of her spot. "My rooms reek of sickness. No, I'd like for some fresh scenery today."

(No because the queen is dying you can make a prince/princess character. But you just can't have a royal consort (Beyza's husband) character and a prince/princess character as well)
Guney saw the blood and his eyes went wide. "I didn't know the coughing was that bad..." he muttered, watching her take the cloth from the servant. "Are you sure you don't want to see the doctor before going?" he asked, helping his mother with an arm around her shoulders.

(My bad so used to gold being used in games like Skyrim XD)
"My mistake." Calvin said as he takes the coins. He places them in his coin purse and leans against the counter. "Need anything else?" He questioned his hands clasped together.

"I could tip you in wine if you want to meet at the tavern this evening." Kel said, tucking the blade back into its sheathe hidden under her colourful woolen cloak.

"No," Beyza answered firmly, hesitantly allowing Serhan to help lead her inside. Though her son didn't seem to know, the blood was not uncommon for her these days. The doctor would have nothing to say or do. "The doctor already came around. At the break of dawn, like clockwork."

"Isn't there anything he can do to stop it for a while?" he asked as three of them, him, Beyza, and the servant, walked down the tall-windowed halls towards the library.

"Perhaps he can find something in one of those Domuletrian texts," she joked dryly. Though her son's worrying over her health was understandable, Beyza was, in a way, frustrated with it too. To be king means to accept death, after all. If not with yourself, then especially with those around you.

"You think we could get texts on Domuletrian medicine? I don't think they would be much help." Guney said, taking it a bit seriously. "Different lands, different herbs, and who knows if any of them would work for humans. I don't think there even are humans at all in Domuletria." He pushed open the large door into the library and let the servant direct Beyza over to a comfortable seat. He followed and set the tome down on the side-table next to the seat.

Serhan taking her offhand joke rather seriously was amusing to her, though she kept silent as they made their way through those very familiar halls; Beyza dared not push herself more than necessary after that coughing fit. When they entered the library, a deep sense of home welled within her. The old scent of paper and ink filled her nose, and she was more than happy to be let down by the servant into a chair as they made their way across the room. After settling down in her fresh seat, she beckoned the servant girl over and ordered for a book in a section further down. The girl walked off to fetch it and Beyza slid off the tome Serhan set down beside her and set it in her lap. "Will you be staying?"

Serhan was unfamiliar with the library and glanced around a few times, letting the servant lead because he didn't exactly know his way around, and it looks like some of the couches had been moves since the last time he was in there, months ago. "That's up to you really. Do you want me to stay?" he asked, standing by the couch.

Beyza opened the book exactly where she left off and began reading. With her gaze focused on the darkened parchment, she answered, "there's some knowledge in here that every prince should have." She flips a page. "Though of course, you must be willing to look for it." She took her cold eyes away from the book to look up at her son. "Stay or leave. Either way, I thank you for your time today."

Serhan didn't like how formally she had ended that off. "Knowledge of law, history, other kingdoms, I suppose..." he turned slightly to gaze around at the aisles of books. "Or maybe I should actually start reading what the tutors recommend, even if they do seem like the most boring books we have in the library..." he thought about returning to the library with Adelaide, if he pretended like she was helping him find books she wouldn't get into trouble for being in there. He wanted to stay to keep an eye on his mother, and walked over to one of the shelves to read the book binds.

"The books tutors recommend are often stiff and uninspired," she agreed. "Though necessary." Beyza recalled how much her own parents had pushed her to read whatever the tutors asked of her. Though there was, and probably always will be bitterness there, she couldn't deny that those books contained knowledge that was often the backbone of her duty as queen. As the servant returned with the other book, Beyza noticed Serhan had decided to take a look around. That pleased her.

Guney picked out a book on the regions to the South of the sea, which he knew was old and outdated as completely different groups had migrated and now taken control of the Southern lands than what had been there at the time the book was written, but it seemed interesting anyway. He sat on the other end of the couch to his mother and set the book on his lap, like he needed a moment before committing to reading it.

"Then I won't be able to get more peaches from you, cause you'll be asleep." He said. "No we don't go swimming, it's unpleasant when all your feathers are soaked, and you can't fly for over an hour until it dries." Alp said. "That's why we're not allowed to swim on working days, not that many of us want to." Elle chuckles at his complaint, finding it very fitting. โIโll leave some out special just for you.โ She promised, biting her lip to hold in more of her small laughter. โAnd yeah, I guess that makes sense. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea for you guys.โ Elle shook her head a little bit smiled regardless, lowering her gaze slightly to watch her finger trace circles on the surface of the table.

It took a while before Caspian heard the conversation of people entering the library. Alas, his solitude had been breached. He slowly got up to inspect who could possibly... He paused at the sight of his mother and Guney walking about with a servant girl. once they had settled, it was only then did he muster up the nerve to go and join them. "Mother." he bowed out of habit, then glanced to his older brother and politely dipped his head. In his arms he held a book pertaining to griffins and their biology. "Room for one more?" he asked as he neared one of the chairs.

"It's very hard to see during night shift so we have to focus on flying low and listening, but if you fly too low you run into things." Alp said, wondering if he could stuff the peach into his scarf and take it with him that way. "Anything interesting happen while you were gardening?"

"I might take you up on that offer." Calvin said smiling brightly at her. He could use a few drinks especially after finishing up these orders. He still needed to work on that custom steel armor.

Kel nodded curtly to him with a smile before walking off down the street, her shawl and her long hair waving behind her as she walked. She pulled out her blade and admired the repair-work before heading off to the aforementioned tavern to get some lunch.

"Room for one more?" he asked as he neared one of the chairs. The cadence of her younger son's voice was immediately recognizable to Beyza. Back when she was healthy, her tendency to spend time in the library had often involved spending time with him all the same. He certainly shared her love of dusty tomes and lengthy scrolls. "Ah, Caspian," Beyza greeted. She held her page and glanced up after a moment to nod in acknowledgment. "Take a seat," she answered. "The crowd is thin."

Elle continued to nod along, almost starting to drift off in her thoughts, remembering how she might stop by the library later. Granted if no one else was in there, and by no one that meant anyone of nobility. His question brings her back and she blinks a couple of times, registering what he had actually said to her. โAnything interesting? Why, not anything in particular. The strawberries are starting to bloom, thatโs pretty interesting I suppose.โ

He tilted his head again at her, like he could tell she was lying. "Huh... I didn't knew you grew strawberries here. I guess I better get back to the barracks." he picked up the peach in his mouth and gave her a semi-muffled, "See you around, then?".

โThatโs because they usually die before theyโre fully ripe, but my fingers are crossed that theyโll survive this year.โ Elle said with a small smile, sitting up straighter. โAlright, Alp. Let me know when your shift switches and Iโll start leaving peaches out for you.โ She promised, smiling as she followed him out, opening the door for him.
