While griffins normally tended to remind her of dogs, it wasn't until she met Alp that it really solidified the comparison. Elle couldn't help but smile as she watched him tilt his head and look at the basket of peaches, giving a soft chuckle before reaching in and grabbing one. "Very. Want one?" She asked, holding the fuzzy fruit out in front of him. "Are you on break right now?"

"Yes. Taking turns flying around the palace, 30 minutes flying than 30 minutes break while another griffin scouts." Sometimes it was easy to look at him like just a cute large dog and forget he was a soldier trained for combat. "Yes please." He watched her hand as she reached for a peach. He almost went to take the peach with his beak but he thought it better manners to sit up on his hindlegs and take it with a talon from her hand. "Did you fall while you were outside?" he asked.

Calvin picked up the dagger and examines the bent part of it. "Something like this shouldn't take to long. Possibly about five to ten minutes tops." He said before lowering the dagger. "Do you want it sharpened as well?" He could tell that the blade could use it.

"If you could that would be wonderful." Kel smiled softly. "Should I just wait here then?" she asked, leaning with her hip against the table and watching him examine the knife.

Calvin nodded his head. "It will only take a moment unless you have somewhere to go." He turned away and walked back to his forge. Calvin started heating the blade up before setting it down and using his hammer to pound it back into shape. Calvin was tempted to ask how she bent it. However, he wasn't sure if he would like the answer. A variety of people used weapons for good and bad.

"No," she shrugged her shoulders, "I don't really have anywhere to be today." Kelebek leaned over the table trying to watch Calvin work on the blade. While the grip of the dagger it was faded from being held, there were worn-down patterns carved into the leather. It wasn't anything antique or fancy, but definitely a prized dagger. Kel waited and brushed through her hair absent-mindedly with her fingers.

"Must say you have quite a weapon." Calvin remarked as he continued to hammer at the metal. "Do I want to know where you got this from?" He questioned raising one eyebrow at her. "I won't tell in case your wondering. All sorts of people buy my weapons."

"Thank you... and probably no." Kelebek raised her dark eyebrows at him. "I didn't know that was your weapon, a friend let me buy it off of him for a discount. Maybe he originally bought it from you. But who knows." She shrugged again.

"See anything interesting while you were up in the air?" She asks, watching as he took the fruit from her hand with his talon. Elle turned back to the basin now, grabbing a handful of the carrots that she'd picked and began to rinse the dirt off of them, his question taking a moment for her to register in her head. Suddenly her cheeks began to burn, adding a light flush to her face and she ducks her head a little more as she tried to figure out how to answer without revealing the true reason why she fell. "Huh? Oh, y-yeah. Clumsy me." Elle chose to sound rather vague in her answer, glancing to Alp out of the corner of her eyes.

"No it all pretty much looks the same as usual. I mean unless the bushes growing more around the outer walls is something that's interesting to you." He bit into the peach, the fruit juices dripping from his beak. "You have some dirt on your back. Did you hurt yourself at all?" he asked, picking the pit of the peach out with his beak and looked around not sure where to leave it.

"Maybe it is interesting to me." Elle said with a chuckle, then uncomfortably rolled her shoulders as the soreness came back once she thought about it due to Alp's question. "Not really, just the usual soreness that comes with falling down. Nothing that I won't survive from." She told him, shrugging after and drying off the carrots before grabbing another bundle. "Anything else I can get you?" Elle asked, subtly trying to change the subject.

There was the possibility Alp had flown overhead and seen her in the garden, but if he did he didn't allude to it. "Maybe they should be trimmed so they don't grow too far up the walls." he shrugged as best a griffin could, putting the peach pit on the table and finishing the rest with a few juicy bites, trying not to drip it everywhere. Another reason griffins often ate outside. "Maybe another peach, for later?" he asked politely.

Even if he had seen her, Alp wasn't making any accusations or pushing the subject so Elle didn't feel the need to push it either. "Maybe they should." She shadowed his phrase, glancing into the basket and realizing she had no more produce to clean. Elle began to wrap up the respective vegetables and fruits by themselves to put away for later. "Of course, Alp. Here you go." She handed him another peach and smiled. "You planning on hanging out here for a while? Not that that's a problem, just curious."

"Well I don't have to go back for another 20 minutes or so." Alp took the peach and rested it on the table. He climbed up onto one of the stools. "Did you do anything interesting this morning, besides gardening? I scouted out around the wilderness around the palace, even flew over the sea for a bit." his tail swished back and forth across the floor as he talked about flying.

Eleanora "Elle" Bonshire (F, 20, Palace Servant) Elleanora is a young, pretty girl who stands at an average height of about 5'4". She has long, naturally wavy, dirty blonde hair that's usually kept in a low braided chignon where some of her baby hairs curl around her face. Elle has big, blue eyes with flecks of gray around her pupil, and delicate facial features with freckles dusting her cheeks and nose that stand out against her fair complexion. She has slender shoulders with wider hips, average build but still slightly toned from years of working. There isn't much else that she wears when working around the palace other than her servant's clothes, though when she has to go into town she'll wear a slightly nicer gown. An outwardly, typically shy girl, Elle holds her tongue and mainly keeps to herself when working around the palace. However, when she is around people that she feels she can trust, Elle can be quite the social butterfly. It's Eleanora's true nature to be quite mischievous, always toeing the line and seeing what she can get away with. Elle likes to tease and joke around, but she also ends up caring for others more than she probably should, usually putting others well-beings above her own. She can be quite skittish, is easily startled and gets frustrated with herself because of this. While she can be rather quiet, Eleanora is also rather stubborn and attempts to bite her tongue to keep from saying something she knows she'll later regret. Though, this doesn't usually fare well and she may end up saying it anyways. Elle grew up as a servant girl, her mother having been a servant herself and died after childbirth. There's rumors that Eleanora's mother was having an affair with a passing Duke who was staying in the palace at the time, there's also rumors that her father was one of the King's guards, or even a knight as her mother wasn't married at the time. Either way, Elle was basically born an orphan with no idea who her parents were. However, it is safe to assume that her father was most likely a foreigner as most of her physical traits differ from that of a native Meviahn.

Elle smiled as he perched on a stool, she wiped her hands once more and joined him at the table, leaning her elbows on the smooth surface. "Besides serving breakfast? Nothing of the interesting type to talk about. Serhan didn't attend as usual, but again, not very out of the ordinary." As soon as his name slips from her mouth she nearly cringes, but manages to refrain from doing so. Elle clears her throat and scratches her temple for a moment. "How were the seas today?"

โSo now you have your break before lunch? The seas were tumultuous as ever by the cliffs, sent a lot of sea-spray up but it was pretty refreshing so long as you donโt fly too low.โ Alp went on. โWe might switch rotations next week and I might have night-shifts. Yay.โ He added sarcastically.

Elle chuckled softly at his sarcasm, now laying her head into her hand. "Sounds like that'll be a fun time. Hope you're ready to become a night owl." She joked with him playfully. "That must've felt nice though. A little sea spray. On your breaks do you ever just go for a swim?" Elle asks, smiling a little more now and tilting her head more into her head.

"Then I won't be able to get more peaches from you, cause you'll be asleep." He said. "No we don't go swimming, it's unpleasant when all your feathers are soaked, and you can't fly for over an hour until it dries." Alp said. "That's why we're not allowed to swim on working days, not that many of us want to."

Kasida Nydia (F, 25, Royal Guard) Kasida is a woman who stands at six feet exactly, with an athletic build. She has a dark complexion with long raven hair that falls to her waist. She tends to keep her hair in a singular braid and tuck it into a bun so that it is out of the way. Her eyes are a dark brown, with possible flecks of gold in them. It's a little tricky to tell, since she would likely glare should she catch you staring at her. Best not to get on her bad side. That is the best way to sum up Kasida. She is loyal to the crown and will do what it takes to not back down from a fight. She is seen as bold, stoic, and especially stubborn as a mule. Most times, she cannot stand boisterous men, as they tend to brush her aside. Still, she loves to train, read in the libraries, and occasionally drink when she has the time, mostly preferring to keep a sound mind. All her life she had been groomed to be a lady in the southern regions, Liman was a place she usually called home. Her mother had hoped for her to be well liked in the courts. Her father proceeded to teach her about swordfights and hunting. She knew deep down that no man would want a tall brute of a woman as a wife, so she had taken it upon herself to train for being part of the royal guard. (Open for relationships)
Caspian Lycen (M, 21, Prince) Looks, Caspian is a very slight and angular man who stands at 5โ4โ, much to his own annoyance. Due to being more adept to reading and politics, his golden-tanned complexion is more on the pale side. He finds himself to look more like his mother, having his dark hair in a messy, yet kempt fashion, and dark eyes. His face is much leaner, and his frame is wiry and slim at best. He tends to keep to the traditional palate of blues for his country, usually keeping a base with white shirts and dark pants. Quiet, withdrawn, yet ambitious. Most people tend to describe Caspian as those three traits. He has tended to live in the shadow of others, as he lacked brawn to compete with. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in wit and intelligence. One can usually find him with his nose stuck in a book at the library or in the gardens. He has a knack for communicating with the nobles, and this has proficient skill in politics. Like most quiet boys, he does have a soft spot for his mother. With the Queenโs declining health, he desires for her praise and approval as he slowly but surely learns more about what is needed as a ruler. (Beyza (mother), Serhan (older brother))
(Saw you needed another royal family member for plot and I thought, oh well time to have some fun with this)

โYouโd think theyโd have a law or something that you had to report things to the guards... but then that would just get you into trouble and maybe itโs better for business that you donโt ask,โ Kel said. โYou donโt have to worry about my business though.โ She rebraided part of her hair.

โMaybe we could send for books or any written texts from Domuletria to be bought on the next trade shipment, and have them translated.โ Though Serhan wasnโt entirely sure what she meant. โI donโt suppose we have many books on Domuletria or magic in our library.โ Serhan thought back to the time they once met with a Domuletrian ambassador on one of the smaller islands, when he was around 7, but the memory was fuzzy at best. Beyza's eyes lit up, only just slightly, at her son's proposal. "This massive tome has been preoccupying me enough, though I wouldn't be opposed to more." As she replied, her willowy fingers once again traced the cover of the book, brushing against deep ridges of dark, faded leather. Though several different meetings with Domuletrian ambassadors had at first piqued her interest, it was only lately that her passing interest blossomed into something more. The magic and sorcery of a distant land almost reminded her of the wild flights of fancy she was so fond of as a child. But Serhan was right in his assertion; even the royal library didn't have many texts on Domuletria. Not on the parts that she was interested in, at least. "Every afternoon a servant comes with dozens of books from the library at my request. This was not the only Domuletrian text, but it was the only intriguing one," she said. "The rest? Trade logs. Trade politics. Nonsense I've heard enough of to last a lifetime." Right when she finished speaking, illness sparked in Beyza's lungs. Her shoulders trembled as a string of coughs pushed out of her.((Nice I see that there's a new prince in town now. ๐ Royal family getting bigger. Sorry for the disappearance btw. ))

"How far are you through it?" Guney asked, looking at the tome. "What's intriguing about this one? Magic and sorcery I would guess?" He was glad to see her eyes light up a little, and that she was interested in something new. He put a hand on her shoulder when she started coughing. "It's cold out here, do you want to go back inside?" He asked, glancing at the servants who looked worried as well.

When she started coughing, Beyza instinctively tried to turn away from the others gathered on the patio. Worried gazes in her times of weakness never failed to be uncomfortable, no matter how long she'd been ill. Guney's sudden hand made Beyza flinch at first. Eventually, though, she eased up as her coughing did the same, shoulders steadying. "I suppose inside will suffice," she managed to answer hoarsely.
((So he goes by Guney, yeah?))

(Guney to people close to him, "Serhan" being like his official name)
Guney gestured for a servant girl to come over and help Beyza out of her chair. "Would you like to go to the library or back to your rooms?" he asked her, standing up and carrying the tome for her.
