Bulent heard her come in but hadn't seen her jump. "Scared you just now or at breakfast?" he looked up at her as she went to the sink and blinked a few times a bit confused by what she meant. "Nothing interesting happens before noon anyway, just court business." Although he immediately started to feel bad for saying that, since likely she rarely had the luxury of sleeping in.

Adelaide glances to him every now and again, noticing that he was only eating a loaf of bread and some wine. βJust now, when I came into the kitchen.β She told him then just smiled, wiping her hands dry on her apron. βThere was some bacon leftover from breakfast, would you like me to bring you some?β She asked, drying the plates now but turning towards him as she does.

They had already moved far enough away from the busy docks not to hear the second rock hit the ground. Rafaela split from the two men and turned down a more quiet street of the city. Her house was in a fishing village by the Western coast, but she was supposed to stick around Liman for their time on land, so they had arranged an apartment for her. She looked around trying to find the exact house she was told to go to, cautious as she was very unfamiliar with the area. The morning sun still behind the tall row of houses cast a shadow over the whole street. Neglos breathed deeply out in frustration. He had never had to do this before. He climbed down the side of the building and followed the closest person to him:The female. He foolowed her from a distance until he'd figured out a way to approach her."You seem lost."He said from the shadows cast by the houses.Another reason the like black clothes.

"No, thank you." Bulent stood up after finishing the bread, tucking his chair in and still holding a mostly-full glass of wine. "I guess I should be somewhere but not quite sure where that is..." He sighed looking at the door.
Rafaela clocked him as suspicious immediately as she turned to him. "Is that so?" She raised a brow. "You seem lost as well, shadow, the graveyards are further inland." She jabbed at him and picked out a house to walk up to so she didn't look as lost. She went to knock on the door and maybe ask whoever would answer for directions.

((Hey there. I'm potentially interested in the dying king/queen role. How old would they be roughly?
Very nice worldbuilding btw. After reading the descriptions of Meviah I'm almost reminded of Limsa Lominsa from FFXIV.))

Lycoris hey, thanks it's something I've been working on for a fantasy series. They king/queen would be old enough to have adult children, probably around 45 or older. I've never played any of the FF games, I'll have to look that up)

"The graveyards aren't a good place for me.Too open."Neglos chuckled a little as he watched the woman approach the house."Say,if you came from the boats, why do you live in such a shabby place?"

"Maybe standing on a street-corner asking riddles would be more your speed." A rude remark, but he did look very suspicious. "Why is that any of your business?" Rafaela stopped before knocking and gazed at him.

"I'm just curious to see how different people here react to strangers. So far I've had two eggs,a rock, and a bunch of sticks thrown at me."Neglos replied with a slight chuckle.

"Is that why my jabs seem to go over your head? Not familiar with the local folklore I guess? What part of the mainland are you from?" She asked, sort of rhetorically like didn't really seem to care what he would reply. She knocked on the door but no reply came. Likely the residents had gone out to market before noon.

"No where that interests you."Neglos replied."Why are you knocking on the door to your own house?"

"I'm a traveler, everywhere interests me. This isn't my house." Rafaela turned away from the door. "Any reason you're lurking around strangers other that creepy curiosity?" She asked, walking further down the street, not caring to look around at the houses anymore.

"Just wondering when I can get some money.Usually by this point something's left the persons hand that can't be used for money."He chuckled.

"I could throw a knife your way if you don't back off, but I'm afraid you wouldn't have the chance to sell it afterwards." Rafaela said, still walking.

Rafaela turned down another street, a wider one that led from the docks to the market. "Great... you live in a city where any idiot can get a job at the docks and you still choose to be a thief?" she scoffed.

"Maybe, but you've been following me around the streets like a creep and I've told you, twice now, to leave me alone. What makes you think I'm interested in finding you a job?" Rafaela said.

Rafaela stopped and set down the large bag she carried between her feet. She unsheathed the short rapier at her belt and turned pointing it towards him without a word.

Rafaela was glad she'd led him onto a busier and more open street. People were starting to look at them and the guards weren't too far. "Guard!" She shouted loudly, keeping her eyes on him.
