[ nope! It's supposed to thunderstorm later on in the morning(it's 1am, naturally) so ofc the already flooded river is going to become more flooded. Other than that, we have a break from tornado producing thunderstorms until tomorrow night I'm pretty sure ] (This was me about 4-7 days ago. Damn weather. The flooding thong is still happening, because we live by a lake, but that’s pretty normal.) |

Okay so I’m just plain concerned for you guys living in America XD The weather seems to get so intense there
Here in Britain it’s almost always cold, cloudy and raining but it doesn’t deviate from that XD We very rarely get flooding, we don’t get tornadoes or earthquakes or anything like that and we don’t have any volcanoes and it’s pretty much just chill here)

The UK weather:
Spring: Kinda cold, very cloudy and rainy
Summer: Heat somewhere between mildly warm and heatwave temperatures (which for us is like 86 degrees F), but very few sunny days. Still a lot of cloudy/rainy days and thunderstorms
Autumn: Cloudy. Rainy. Cold.
Winter: Cloudier. Rainier. Colder. Also featuring snow)

The innocent flower and the serpent under it
“I’ll be sure to take your advice,” she replied “you guys make a cute couple! You are so brave to be together in the Games.”
Again, a compliment and a threat. A little note that she had found a weakness of Holly’s. And the statement calling them a cute couple was a nice one to find out the true nature of their relationship. Macaria couldn’t tell if Holly had romantic feelings towards Burton and if they were a couple. But either way she planned to use it against them if she met them in the Arena.
She laughed lightly at Holly’s joke, lifting a hand to her mouth as she did. Internally, though, she was rolling her eyes. What a dumb joke. Still, she noted that she’d been right about the identity of this girl - Holly, District 8. And the boy was Burton, not that that was so relevant to her. As far as Macaria was concerned Holly and Burton were just two out of many tributes, and both of them would fall in these Games.
“You’re so funny,” she said in response to the joke before continuing, “oh, well I’ll be sure to look out for you guys.”
That could be taken as a threat or just a nice offer in the Arena. Macaria didn’t care which way she took it; it was a threat anyway.
At her words about not killing innocent children for the humour of the Capitol, Macaria grew a little more serious.
“Innocent children, huh?” Macaria asked “That’s a little naive. As if anyone here is truly innocent, as if it matters anyway. I admire your principles, sweetie, really I do, but it’s not going to get you far in the Arena. Everyone in this room is going to want to kill you. All I’m doing is taking control, choosing who I fight rather than waiting for people to come find me.”
She paused for a moment, examining her nails before lifting her gaze back to Holly.
“You enjoy your game of hide and seek. But you don’t seem like the type of girl to let herself be weak, prey when she could be a predator. Either way, watch your back out there.” |
