Flash Back Games (Closed)

Holly swirled the katana in her hand, a block move, and used it with one hand. She was about to move on to knives and daggers, weapons that she would probably prefer, and need to get used to. Katanas weren’t exactly always widely available. Swords were at times, but she didn’t like two handed weapons for the most part. 

She did another stab out, her other hand in a blocking position, but almost dropped the weapon, as a voice sounded near her. She refused to lose her guard, or act shocked in the least. She kept her eyes from widening, but she put her other hand on the blade of the weapon, setting it down slowly. A small smirk almost caught her face, as part of her conversation with Burton was called to mind. When the girl admitted to being from District 2, it confirmed that suspicion. It took everything in her not to sarcastically note the flirt. 

Holly didn't find herself dull, and she wasn’t extremely manipulative at all, but she had her fair share of lies and dissimulation. She knew these games well, too, and she turned, looking at Macaria. The short girl noted the career with bland interest. Macaria was a career, no matter how nice she pretended to be, she was in these games because either she volunteered, or the others of her district thought she was capable. 

”Oh,” she responded, her voice even, “Try not dying by fawning over him,” She dryly responded. She had no idea what game this career was playing, who she though she was fooling. Maybe Holly just saw through it because she didn’t care anymore. But her humor was dry, she couldn’t stand this girl already, she couldn’t afford to. This girl could, and might kill her in the arena if she did. But she decided to play along a bit, “Well it’s knife to meet you, Macaria.” Well she had some false humor, dumb annoying humor, she grabbed the katana back, stabbing it into the dummy’s chest, she wanted to get read of Macaria, because even if she was refusing to let it shock, Macaria was already a pest under her skin. “My name is Holly, and yes, I’m from District 8, and that boys name is Burton.” She corrected, already a bit annoyed. She really hated socializing with airheads. 

She back up, turning to look at Macaria after her words. Usually, if someone like Burton would have said it, she would have laughed. But she looked a bit bothered at the moment, she never liked names like Honey, they were rather degrading, but it changed almost instantly, as her monotone and sardonic nature flooded back. She used sarcasm enough to pinpoint the sarcasm of Macaria’s words. She walked closer, leaving the weapon in the dummy. If Macaria wanted her attention, then she might as well give it. 

”No, Macaria, I don’t plan on hunting out other tributes. They aren’t my real enemy, I can’t exactly speak for you though.” She noted, looking around. “I don’t plan on killing innocent children for the humor of the Capital.” She said, looking up at Macaria. 

She had a feeling that Macaria was searching out the competition, but she wasn’t about to be some prey for the hunter. Even if she refused to show it though, Holly was a bit terrified of Macaria, she seemed manipulative, and just about as much of a charmer as Burton, for someone dumb enough to fall for it.

Burton would be very proud. Probably.

I also just thought about this, but if Holly was a ghost haunting him or something I could totally see her making fun of Burton calling himself Catallus because of the cat pun. I feel Holly is just a sucker for puns(oops is she reflecting me?).)

(Oh she would totally be happy for him, but maybe sad because she feels forgotten? I could totally see that being her worst fear, being forgotten. Either that or she fell in love with him at some point and just feels betrayed or something. That would actually be pretty interesting to see.

I could also see her father going to Burton one day when Burton returns in the happy ending, and just thanking Burton for being her friend, because he’s a douche and left her? So many possibilities.

I also plan to make Robin’s niece/nephew a character if we continue on with the story line.)

In the sad ending I could totally see her being super supportive, like, ghost her. If ghosts existed in this RP, anyways XD. She would totally follow him because she’s like that.)

I had one active and successful rp on the old forums that I am still very proud of to this day. It was a Hogwarts rp and it died just after reaching 100 pages rip my beautiful child ]

meanwhile my sister literally had a 900 page rp and a 3000 page rp that she transferred over to ProBoards with her friends and is still continuing ugh I would give anything ]]

(Ooh yeah that would definitely be so interesting x poor ghost Holly. So many cool possibilities there. Like happy Holly to see Burton is doing well/ betrayed Holly who fell for him / Holly worried about being forgotten

Aww imagine Burton locked up and struggling and Holly is just there telling him he can do it and making dumb jokes to keep his spirits up and stuff. And then being upset when they kill him but also so happy to see him </3
