Hey. I'm sorry for not being able to watch the current anime we all are watching. My life is currently revolving around drumline and marching band at the moment. So I probably won't be able to start watching it properly until like, late October. I really am sorry.

Oh boy! This weekend was quite the wreck. Because it was Labor day weekend my two online classes decided to throw multiple discussions for homework. The issue is that I can't just reply with a simple "Cool" "I agree" I need to actually reply in full though; evidence, qoutingg, videos, pictures, and anything that relates to the original discussion, and my classmates replies. Then for my history class; we had to talk about a place we find very special. Describe its geographic features, talk about why its so special in terms of elevation/location. --> History had no edit option. So once that post was up you had no chance to edit. R.I.P Anyways; I took this morning to watch episode 1; actually I watched it twice. Something was hitting me in the face and I couldn't tell what. Then it hit me- So I'll explain what was hitting me in my review. Prepare for my babbling; that's what I've been doing all weekend for homeworkHanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora; episode 1 review The Opening:
We start off with the opening.. Some anime like to establish something before the opening to get the viewer right into it.
This anime on the other hand used the opening to create an atmosphere concept. Some people will take the pretty colors, and passionate opening as just a quick "overview" of the characters.
Taking a closer look; the opening itself is telling a story without the use of dialogue. The opening itself is a love letter from one to another. The colors used in the opening are bright, and calming colors; they create a feeling of hope and tranquility. This is mainly represented by the colors of the sky, the flower petals, and particular scenes illuminating the few rooms the characters are in.
It is safe to assume that the song is representing how Yuuichi sees Rika. Mainly at the part in the lyrics talking about the swaying hair. ------------->> It's still too early to access it because there are other parts in the lyrics that strike at me odd. (I'll go into it later) Pacing of the episode:
So much has happened in one episode. It is safe to agree, that it was slightly sped up to get to the point they wanted to establish.
(I refer to the whole; I like you scene)
We get a quick intro of why Yuuichi is at the hospital; then learn why the Rika is there too.
However it is thanks to Akkiko that we get a sly hint that the girl is there for a far more dire reason then Yuuichi. -> even when she notes that it isn't serious; it's her way of contradicting the audience.
Why go through the exposition to share that the east wing is critical, then tell us not to worry? It has to do with Yuuichi's personality. It indicates that he is the type to worry despite us just meeting him a few minutes back.
Pressing on; we meet an elderly patient who will be the trigger later in the episode.
So his curiosity got him to look out the window and see Rika. The nurse's attitude, and willing to give Yuuichi information about her was also another quick turn push. Then finally his own clumsiness got him right inside.
Things happen,a character who we just met passes away;triggers Yuuichi, thus leading to the daring escape to climb the mountain. Thus we are left at a cliff hanger.
But not before the cliff hanger do we see that official seal of approval stating that "These two were meant for each other" Personalities/Characteristics:
Yuuichi Right off the bat- anyone could probably relate to Yuuichi. He's just a teenager with the desire of not being confined to the same place.
We all sneak out, and around. I'm certain that at one point we all snuck around our houses because mom and dad didn't want us up past a certain hour. -> I know I am if I'm up all night for a reason other then homework.
He feels a desire to hang out, and be with others; and that is something a lot of teens desire. TO be out of the house, or in some kind of communication. Whether it be online, or in person. -> Video games right?
Defiance is another common trait in all of our adventures in growing up. -> Just like being afraid of the consequences follows
There are some things that stick out though- >> His willingness At first I thought that this was just your average "I want to blend in" type of feeling, but it's not.
Yuuichi had only met Rika, and the only knowledge he had was her name, the fact that she was in the critical wing, and a book she was interested in.
Seeing him go out without question made me think some more. "Was he the obedient type? >> That couldn't be it because he was obviously defining our Nurse
Could it be that he was in the mood to go outside anyways? >> He doesn't seem like a "real" bored character. He is just appearing to us like he is bored because he's basically stuck in the hospital for a few months.
So I let this minor detail slide into the background with a new assumption that this might have something to do with his own past.
I was somewhat right towards the end >> "Cherish girls"
While he claims at the end to be doing it of his own will; it's safe to assume that this form of thinking has somewhat mingled into his own moralities.
Rika Okay where do I start?
She's like an always changing mask. Demanding, friendly, enemy like, secretive, cautious, aggressive, and devious.
At first I thought she might have multiple personality disorder or something along the lines. #JunkoEnoshima (No-please)
Then it hit me in the operation room. We still didn't know her condition at that time, but it was plainly obvious.
Her life has revolved around visiting hospitals. Going in and out; the way she toyed around with the instruments. They seemed too familiar with her; almost as though she had been really close to them for a long time.
This would connect to her personality. Being weary of new people, and being devious once she gets them to do her bidding. She's lonely and probably tired of just seeing nurses all day.
Having Yuuichi around is like having someone other then a nurse. The problem is that she acts like she has been along with nurses for too long, thus treating Yuuichi like one.
However it is still too early to assume for sure that she has been in hospitals her entire life. If not entire; a big portion. Her actions, just lead into this speculation-
It is when she mentions her father later in the episode that this speculation becomes a bit more solid.
Her father had a similar problem. Then it's safe to assume that she too has been seeing doctors for a while. Perhaps her condition wasn't as bad before hand; but she probably did see doctors on a regular basis.
It is also safe to speculate; that she probably was isolated from a lot of people. Heart conditions usually mean a controlled environment, if not a really supervised life. So hanging out with people without supervision may become a little difficult.
So she's not spoiled; just really unsure on how to approach Yuuichi.
The old man; Comic relief- Passed away, with a little bit of what we were told. He was a trigger object for Yuuichi on the concept of life being a value we should cherish. (Flat character)
Akkiko - Nurse I have a feeling that we'll be seeing her some more. She has a tollerant level, but she too has her priorities.
It's clear as day to see that she dislikes anything stepping out of line. She's strict, but understanding. She holds pride in what she does, and has a connection to something holding her in town. What that may be? It's still too early to throw a guess.
She is a sister figure to Yuuichio and to some extent a mother figure. But I mainly see her as a sister figure. Trying to correct the boy's wrong, and make sure that he understands why it was wrong. Forshadowing / speculation
This is the fist time I have seen this anime. Yet based on some minor actions, and specific details It feels like things might take a turn.
It's way too early to really place my two cents on this, but I'll be re-addressing this as the episodes progresses.
I have a feeling that Yuuichi might be our character in a far more critical situation then Rika.
Not because he is, but because of the extent of force he is applying himself.
Sneaking out after dark is one factor. He himself is slowing his recovery.
But going outside more and more, the weather is getting colder. --> His coughing, his expressions, his focus are slowly going all over the place.
Just because a professional tells us that it's only minor, and we can recover; doesn't mean that it can't get worst. If we go out and do the opposite of what we are supposed to do we are deteriorating ourselves in the long run.
Then we came to the end where Yuuichi passed out; thus proving my point. (but it's still too early)
Now it could also be that both Rika, and Yuuichi's conditions will go back and forth. The two have implied feelings for one another, and wanting to go the extra mile will push them both.
It could also be that one will sacrifice themselves for the other. Who knows? It's an open possibility.
It could also be that both characters get a happily ever after as implied by the ending
--> But I feel like the ending is a little different- The ending -
I don't see the ending as a romantic possibility. The first few seconds felt like a scrap book of memories.
Then it got to a certain point where it started to feel more like a mourning.
What's drawing me in this direction is the expression in their eyes. As to who died; well the anime is pointing to Rika because of her heart condition, but anything can change.
The scene where Rika was wearing the black dress; the way she cuddled with Yuuichi. It gave me shivers. Almost as though she was remembering him.
As stated- this is all pure speculation. The anime could follow the more common route of letting them both live a happy life together.
I'll be leaving all possibilities open, and mend them based on the following episodes.
Going back to what struck me! This isn't really spoilers it's just more along the lines of the cast. I recognized the voices right off the bat but couldn't put my finger on it. So I looked it up.
The cast is not bad; they just blend their lines in well.
Takahashi, Mikako - Akiba, Rika - Elfen Lied - Prince of Tennis - Black blood brothers
Suzumura, Kenichi - Yuuichi Ezaki - Brothers Conflict - Digimon Frontier - Fairy Tail - Free! - Kuroshitsuji II - Owari no Seraph
- Ouran High School Host Club - Pokemon XY Mega Evolution Special - Trinity blood
Both of them have done supporting characters on different anime. So they have interacted beforehand. They also helped a little on the production staff; so those two talking a bit beforehand may too be a possibility.

I like Doctor Natsume but I felt he was trolling Ezaki in this episode, I hope he doesn't turn out to be a huge jerk. Not a fan of Rika, it still slowly paced but that should be expected for this type of anime.

I'm not sure what to think of Dr. Natsume. I'd like to like him, but the fact that he was screwing with Ezaki and Rika this episode kind of pissed me off. I'm not sure what exactly his motives are, as he seems to care for Rika. At first, I thought it might be some strange form of jealousy, but his discussion with the nurse made me wonder if it might be something else. I hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad man, as he seems likable enough. The ending was another cliffhanger of sorts, and while it's not as big as last week's it still leaves me curious as to what Ep. 3 will bring. Overall, I enjoyed this episode, and I found it a bit more entertaining than the previous one.

Got a few appointments this week, and they closed yet another road to get to school. So I will be leaving for classes even earlier then I already planned to.
Who knows maybe I'll be leaving by flippen 3am if they keep up with the road closures.
- At least I get to work this week. I'll get paid , and it counts as homework. Lol

☆Starlight Dreamer☆ kiddo Dreamers Delight Auransky Maish prophet Kuragehime Taiyou @animefreak John 3:16The airing anime for the fall season that we will be watching is Occultic;Nine. The anime does not yet have a set premiere date, but will premiere sometime in October 2016. The anime is made by the same man behind Steins;Gate, which is considered one of the best anime of all time. The description is as follows: The "paranormal science" story follows nine idiosyncratic individuals, linked by the "Chōjō Kagaku Kirikiri Basara" occult summary blog run by 17-year-old second-year high school student Yūta Gamon. Little incongruities that occur around these nine eventually lead to a larger, unimaginable event that may alter what is considered common sense in this world. okay, yeah, I'm starting to dislike this show. A bit too cutesy, a bit too slow-paced, and it had characters I can't click with and emotionally invest myself in. If there are any deaths I'm probably just going to laugh because that's how much I can't connect with these characters. Doctor Natsume had me angry however, the way he was mucking around with Rika and Ezaki had me wanting to punch him. I hope he doesn't turn out to be a richard, however.
(bleh it's awful i know but it's in a rush)

Looking forward to Occultic;Nine, Steins;Gate is one of my favorite anime ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/6575102/images/Zk1a5XUEHw6Q8FG1L5Qy.gif) Getting back to episode 2, I thought it was another good episode. I liked Dr. Natsume at first, seemed like a cool character, but then my thoughts changed when he started messing with Rika and Yuuichi. Also that evil laugh of his worried me, and I thought it was interesting how he stressed that Yuuichi help Rika as a friend and nothing more. I wonder how the relationship of the two will develop now that Natsume is back, since RIka seems to think highly of him.
Speaking of Rika, I got a bit upset with her this episode. I understand her reasons for getting mad at Yuuichi, she's allowed to get mad, but I thought it was going a bit too far when she locked him outside in the freezing weather and thus worsening his condition. On the other end, we now know that she at least feels something for Yuuichi, judging by what Natsume told him.
This could be way off, but I feel like Yuuichi is going to try and climb down to get Rika's book for her and end up falling or something... you know, to add to the drama.

Sorry for late review!
I thought episode 2 was alright. Still kinda slow building. But it was fun getting to see the characters interact and begin to learn more about them. The whole collection of 'magazines' under Yuuchi's bed was a great scene. I admit, I liked Doctor Natsume at first but as the episode went along I couldn't help but think 'wow really dude?' so he's lost some likeability points. But yeah, looking forward to see what happens in the next episode.

The characters are really interesting to learn about, though I wasn't sure on how they introduced Doctor Natsume (?). They first introduced him with a beard and the second time he's shown he has no beard. It took me quite a while to figure out who he was.
As well, at first I quite liked Natsume and how he was connected to Rika, I thought he was a good guy, but that changed as the episode progressed. I began asking myself some questions. What kind of relationship does he have with Rika? Why did he stress that Yuuichi be just friends with her? Why ruin the friendship they already had by making it worse?
At this point I really don't like him, though I have a feeling later on they're going to come up with some sap story for him.
Anyways, I understand why Rika got upset with Yuuichi about the books. But why hate him for it? Must have something to do with what he said on the mountain, but whatever he said I don't think should have made her hate him for this.
And to just forgive him because Doctor Natsume said to? That's just low. I really felt for Yuuichi in that moment. It just wasn't fair. He'd been trying so hard to say he was sorry and she wouldn't listen. Even LOCKED HIM OUTSIDE and made his condition even worse. Is those kind of books worth risking someones life? No. Honestly, Yuuichi is the one that needs an apology.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora; episode 2 review Characters- The Doctor My goodness-this guy At first it appeared so nice, wonderful and just really calming. He almost swayed me into his world, and his words truly meant a lot if we take them into real world context. He really knows how to just get away with words. Then when we reached the scene where Doctor Natsume is handing Yuichi the magazine....oh that scene... I was so swayed into his words that I almost stopped really focusing in the background. But at that same time- it just happened so fast. --> The Doctor laughing on the side...my goodness. Then you get him telling the nurse that "It's all for fun" like seriously-all for fun. Just his actions from the minute he said "All for fun" I pictured Gregory House walking right up to two the boy and hitting him with his cane. (The sarcasm, dark humor, and enjoyment of pain. That's House M.D right off the bat!)
Anywho- I had a theory on this guy; that flashback played a bigger factor into this thought. 1) It could be that this is just a trial of trust. Since he and Rika have known each other a little longer. Perhaps Rika's father asked the Doctor to protect her. Therefore this trial of endurance could be a thing. (But I'm still getting that house vibe r.i.p)) 2) He's just psychotic like house! No reason to do it other then enjoying the pain and misery that arises from it. 3) Maybe there is no hope. Maybe he wants to seperate Yuichio from Rika because of her situation. According to the readings; Yuichio will eventually recover and walk out. What would happen-how would he be affected if the girl he fell in love with in the hospital passed away. He walks out a healthy young man, but the trauma would be too much to bare. That doctor may be trying to distant them to avoid future damage. If no connection is left, then damage in the long run may be minimal.
But this Doctor gave us some more important information about Rika. As I stated in my first review; Rika might be a reserved individual. Perhaps lacking interaction, or limited due to her condition. The doctor indeed backed me up on this claim. This explains her insecurity, social awkwardness, and such harsh ways of reacting. --> She doesn't know how to react. This is not normal and for her to open up; it's hard. The little trust she had in Yuichi was quickly shattered when she saw the magazines.
Now that raises new questions; was she assaulted at a young age? Has she read books, seen articles, or movies about it? or has she herd it from nurses/doctors who mentioned other patients. --> She has had to have some kind of relation from somewhere to act in such a manor. It isn't a self natural learned instinct. It's something we usually learn through awareness, personal experience, or media.
Rika Going to overlap with the Doctor's notes. Basically her reserved nature, and limitations of a "normal" experience maker her who she is. She doesn't know, she's not aware, and most certainly because Natsume has been there for her; she has come to trust him like a sheep to a herder. Her actions are swayed by him not just because he wears a coat, or because he is a doctor, it's mainly because he has been by her aid for quite sometime. Being nice to her, building that trust, and assuring her that "everything" will be alright.
Now what she did to Yuichi on the roof was brutal. That I can never forgive her for it; not even feel a damned sympathy for what she did. It's not right, and it goes against human nature. "Is a reason necessary? saving someone…a logical mind isn't needed, right?" - Kudo Shinichi We do things without thinking true, but when we see someone in a situation where we run out without thinking. It's something that we can't explain. In this case; she was aware of his situation, she should have been more conscious. Nonetheless her emotion drove her actions, and that is really upsetting.
The Nurse She has her ways, sure! But she also has her moments. In this case she is trying to indirectly ship both Rika and Yuichi. She sees something in the two; and is probably perceiving a tough trial up ahead. She treats her patients strict. but after taking a closer look at her emotions and actions in this episode. It is clear that she enjoys her job as a passion. It's something that hurts her to see patients dying with regrets on their mind. She just doesn't show it; impressive-
Yuichi Don't I just feel so bad for this guy! Getting locked out in the night, his condition was bad before but its seriously going down the drain. Perhaps the doc was like; "Sure I'll get her to get mad at him" but if he was locked out in the rain then it could be assumed that his condition can seriously drop. "They both don't have much time" <- That was a soft trigger. "Both?" like them both as in two. Are they both going to hit rock bottom, or is it just a general term for one has the heart condition, the other one keeps dropping his immune system.
Nonetheless; I will continue to root for Yuichi! ^.^
The old man; I stated in the first episode that this man was just probably going to be a flat character used to push the plot along. After watching episode 2 I was both right, and wrong.
Right in the contexts that his words inspired Yuichi to attempt to pursue something rather then live in regret. None of us for sure want to live in regret so it's a really touching moment.
I was wrong in contexts of being a flat character (kinda) It appears like we may have some glimpses of flashbacks, or it could just be that this alone was sorta the thing to just say "Push on plot!" thoughtsWell I sorta merged my thoughts within the characters. There isn't much to talk about progressive wise. This was basically our piece of the pie with backstory included. This Doctor and Rika know eachother, and have a decent connection.
-- > Rika is reserved and social awkward --> Dr. Natume is just; "I will rip you apart!" --> The nurse shows her soft side in a method that most people would disregard --> Yuichi is going through the struggles of growing up
Okay- So by Yuichi "growing" up. I mean we gotta remember that he's a teen. Growing up; as noted in my first review his actions are normal. He's only gone there because of an illness, up to that point he was out and about with friends! So to be confined is just like "Nope!" But at the same time we now have a love interest. emotions sway, and after recalling that moment with the old man on the roof he is determined not to regret this moment. So naturally messing up, misunderstandings, and accidentally saying more then you should can and will happen. This anime has a little bit of it all. Rather then your usual anime where you have a character who's so open, or a character who's at that point of maturity. You got a girl who is reserved, and a boy who's just as confused. I'm certain that people around that age range could relate.
There's a lot of reserved people, just like there's people confused, and outgoing personalities. This anime is hitting a side that isn't really talked about. If we were all to visit our local hospitals we would probably observe a few patients who probably carry social awkwardness-mainly because of their conditions limiting them on such actions.
It raising awareness without telling us. It is also growing our perspective of the world through our unconscious. We may not be clicking all these concepts, but it's there, and we'll recognize it sooner or better. Right this is totally on the side, but yea- feel free to roll your eyes for this. Ah! Going back to an earlier thing. I talked about the voice actors. It finally hit me as to why I'm totally swayed with Yuichi's voice. It's because I've herd it on a few characters whom I mentioned, but also a character who I totally skipped over without realizing it. (r.i.p) ![](http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/7/7b/Steven_with_Mega_Metagross.png/250px-Steven_with_Mega_Metagross.png) ![](http://66.media.tumblr.com/8f15cf178986aa6c5cdc2082231adae0/tumblr_n8gmz0kqkF1taquylo1_500.png) I have my crushes for Tsubaki and Daigo (Steven) then I adore Momo's personality. I just can't obtain it; these boys. Especially Daigo. >.<' I been a big fan of champain Diago since he first appeared in his respective game title, and manga. lol Guess that's why this show is so easy to push through with; just being familiar with the voice actor.

Episode 3 overview. The series is definitely growing on me, I really enjoyed this one. Yuuichi playing the video-games was totally me after I get everything I need to get done done haha. I feel like the story finally started moving along and the feels are definitely developing. There were a lot of good moments. And it's sorta sad seeing everyone starting to not be as blind as to the reality of Rika's situation.
