As for Plagues, that song fits much better for Gray Wing and Clear Sky anyway, imo. These two actually grew up together and were each other's best friend, much like Moses and Ramses, until circumstances forced them to be on opposing sides for many moons. "God" in this case would be the Moor cats trying to convince Gray Wing that Clear Sky is no longer the brother he thought he knew. It's perfect! And I know there's at least one MAP about it, but I wish more animators would take advantage of this. Oh yeah, I guess the song would fit Gray Wing and Clear Sky a lot better, now that I think about it. It would be nice to see them used in an animation with the song, but I gotta admit there's not much utilization of the DoTC characters to begin with aside from two I know ("Always Gold" and "Kids Again"). But just wishful thinking. My favorite arc has got to be DoTC would be extremely cool too see them used more. Clear Sly was a perfect villain!

Personal pet peeve in wc art: the excess of blood dripping down. I thought it was fur, not skin? The blood probably should get caught on the fur and clot, but I find a sincere lack of artists treating blood on cat fur like it's skin. Another peeve: claws aren't sharp enough to actually tear through skin like it's paper. Probably any clawing at another cat would result in the tearing of the fur.

To be fair this is being loyal to the books. Everyone and their mother seems to have lightsaber claws that can slash through skin to reach deep into flesh at at a moment's notice.

Like a little size difference and body variation is fine, but take example The Ready as I’ll Ever Be MAP. Was it really necessary for Lionblaze to be an ACTUAL FLIPPING LION? I really would not describe Lionblaze's design in that map as an actual lion.

You're right, it's ridiculous. Not only that but also inconsistent for that matter. The strength of a cat's attacks seems the mainly plot-driven. Most of the time, characters can be fighting for pages upon pages, with many different opponents and sometimes different locations. Afterwards, it's a quick trip to the Medicine cat den and they'll perfectly fine. However, when it comes to deaths like Redwillow, Ashfur, Mapleshade and Shrewclaw, they die in one blow. As if their killers' claws/teeth temporarily become blades. Scars are weird also. All Clan cats should be covered in scars considering their lifestyle. Yet conveniently only the "evil" ones do.

I was never fond of the host of that MAP for... reasons I won't get into here, but their MAPS also always had weird song choices that... didn't even fit the animation/story of them. "Take a Hint" is an example of theirs, the lyrics not fitting Sleekwhisker at all, alongside Willow which when I looked up the lyrics reads something entirely different (Even though I haven't been able to entirely decipher the meaning of it, I've been working on that ever since I heard of the song because it IS lovely) to what their Night/Feather Map's story is and thus doesn't really fit. (We do not speak of the "Loved" one they did, ya know, the one that demonizes Bramblestar, one of the few decent dads we've had in canon (Yes he's had issues with the Three but regards? He's fine. Nor does he favor Spark over Alder, but rather loves them both equally. This is HC but a FACT.), as an OOC very horrible abusive dad to Alderheart even though there's literally nothing in the books to prove it and was just done ONLY because they do not like him and for some reason GENUINELY believe Bramble would lie and doesn't care at all about his son (Ya know, despite the fact that, hecc, in TRS, he even defended him from his douchebag cousin and was clearly shown to be worried about Alder going to Shadowclan temporarily, but I guess that doesn't matter to them!). SCREW THAT ONE.)In regards to Plagues, for all I know that fits more for Bramble and Hawk than Firestar and Scourge because shit man Firestar and Scourge didn't even KNOW they were half-brothers. Compared to Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw who had an actual bond at first. Like… Scourge turned away his littermates.. You think he cares(d) at all about Firestar nevermind didn’t even KNOW him?(Literally the only thing I like is that is got Firestar's death right for fricking ONCE IN MY LIFE but it's soured by a bad song choice and done by a big-name very influential person in the fandom that I'm not even fond of. :///)
yeah I agree.. I've never had great experiences with the host either

I honestly don't have many pet peeves. I like to see all the interpretations art wise. Even if they're weird or have tuft hair or dont look similar or whatever. As long as the video itself is well done I enjoy it. Like i really enjoy Drakinator's versions of the characters despite them not always being super accurate. I think they're cool. So I don't really care much I guess. As long as I enjoy the MAP or PMV. I agree. Nothing super bothers me, but I do specifically enjoy some things more than others.

Scars are weird also. All Clan cats should be covered in scars considering their lifestyle. Yet conveniently only the "evil" ones do. That isn't really accurate - just going by the wiki descriptions, just about everyone seems to have a scar or two and a torn ear. But the evil cats do tend to get their scars mentioned a lot more. The whole "inconsistently sharp claws/teeth" thing also makes following the whole "not killing" code a lot easier - somehow the cats in the series are capable of killing easily and quickly yet can easily switch to a "non-lethal" setting during battles between Clans with no practical consequences (compare the problems in real life with trying to use nonlethal force). Except of course when the plot requires some cat to somehow kill accidentally, like with Gray Wing and Fox (this especially shouldn't be possible with real cats, unless one cat wounded another in a way that became infected and killed them when they were trying not to kill). But a no-killing rule could be difficult enough with relatively weak real cats in the heat of battle, let alone these fictional cats who can sometimes kill in one blow without meaning to.

No killing would be pretty easy for real life cats. For a swift kill, one has to basically either throttle the opposing cat to death or break their neck. As such, just avoid biting the neck too hard or in the wrong place and you'll be fine. Most deaths would be from infection or weakening from wounds but that's no problem with med cats around.

Actually, I just remembered something that is a little small and nitpicky that REALLY bothers me, and that's being able to see their paw pads from the front when their foot is completely down. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

But a no-killing rule could be difficult enough with relatively weak real cats in the heat of battle, let alone these fictional cats who can sometimes kill in one blow without meaning to. It actually does make sense. Almost all the villains are described to be these evil bloodthirsty cats who love to fight viciously, so of course they would have more permanent/larger scars than your average warrior. Other warriors do get scars, but because they don't fight to kill, they endure less severe injuries that eventually fade away and get covered by fur Actually, I just remembered something that is a little small and nitpicky that REALLY bothers me, and that's being able to see their paw pads from the front when their foot is completely down. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? That's what I like to call "wolf paws", where artists draw "toe beans" wayyy more bigger than realistically possible for a cat, if I'm correct. It's a pet peeve of mine I forgot as well

Ivypool is fairly small so it makes sense that he would be gigantic compared to her.
