@terrariumsnail alright, here's my starter
-- Crystalfeather
Crystalfeather was lounging near the warriors' den, her tail flicking continuously back and forth and her ears angled from side to side. Usually at this time of day she would be having a humorous conversation with Ravenflight, but the tom was sleeping. She pondered on the cool ground for a few moments longer. Her stomach caught the she-cat by surprise, and she sat up when it started rumbling. Sighing, Crystalfeather got up, her paws light, and walked over to the center of camp. The dip in the ground that held fresh-kill was nearly empty.
Right, she thought. The flood took a lot from us.
Fluffing out her fur in annoyance, she looked around for any other warriors who were awake. Eventually she spotted Snowdrift and made her way over to the fellow she-cat.
"Hey, Snowdrift," she greeted, waving her tail. "Mind going on a tiny patrol with me?"

Avalanchepaw looked around, frowning as he glanced over his clanmates. The majority appeared grief-stricken from the flood. He got up, padding over to the exit to camp and sticking his nose out into the open air. He shook out his pelt, enjoying the bitter cold. Outside was where he could really clear his mind to think.
A way to lighten everyone's mood.. He gave himself a topic, staring out at the horizon blankly. I could pull an amusing trick on someone! Thrilled at the idea, Avalanchepaw figured a trick would do better if two apprentices pulled it off. He went back into camp, stretching his muscles as he went. Ducking into the apprentices' den, he spotted Hailpaw, and nodded happily to them.
"Hi Hailpaw!" He said. "Would you mind helping me with something? I want help in pulling off a funny joke, just to maybe cheer up some gloomy cats in our Clan?"

(sorry if you got a misplaced notification Ross, I quoted this from a different thread to get the coding, and forgot to switch to the necessary thread.) .A soft silver tabby had only just returned to camp, waiting for the patrol leader to dismiss them to go about the rest of their morning as they wished. The shecat carried a small sparrow clamped in her jaws, one of a handful of meagre offerings the patrol had been able to find. The smell of prey was tantalising, and her hunger was especially sharp that morning. But Windwhistle knew this catch would go to better use elsewhere, and with any luck it might cheer up one of the queens given the rather solemn nature of recent clan events. StarClan knows we're all in need of some cheering up, she thought with a quiet sigh.
Nodding a quiet farewell to the rest of her patrol, the shecat dodged through her waking clanmates and in the direction of the nursery. The shecat paused at the entrance, flinching at the medicine cat's outburst she kept herself to herself as best as she could. Trying to appear unaffected by everything, Windwhistle was eternally grateful that her own family had so far been untouched by the recent problems of their clan, but she mourned for their lost ones as though she had shared blood with them. The shy warrior was rather susceptible to the emotions of others, and given everything emotions were rife amidst the clan.
Stepping in quietly, her head bowed as she carried herself in a rather nervous manner. Gaze lingering on the playing kittens, managing a quiet smile at their playful antics, yet the gesture felt bizarre on her features. As though smiling was out of place, even if the nursery where smiling should have been the most natural thing in the world.
"Good morning," she greeted with a nod of her head. Carrying the fresh kill to the lynx point queen with as neutral of an expression as she could muster. "I managed to find this," she felt the strange need to explain herself. "I thought the kits might enjoy the feathers to play with, or perhaps to line the nest to make it warmer." She looked sheepishly down at her chest, nervous and quiet. "As well as for eating, of course..." Admittedly she was blabbering a little, trying to avoid the elephant in the room.

hey guys! real quick - terrarium. i thought harepaw was your apprentice? i say that bc hailpaw is mine, but avalanchepaw’s starter mentioned hailpaw
also i’ve been giving some consideration as to who i might ask to take the queen spot, with the unborn kits. while i continue making my decision, would someone like to claim frecklekit and cariboukir’s other sibling?

We were supposed to see it last weekend for our one year (with a cute lunch/dinner date after) but his dad screwed us over and made plans instead (mind you, his dad told only his brother but not him personally) so we were going to go tomorrow, but his dad made PLANS AGAIN, so we're going tonight.
except with his parents this time, but thats fine ig. |

Parents can be a bit of a pain in the bum when it comes to relationships, I feel you XD I split with my last due to religous differences, not his but his dad's unfortunately XD got a great friend out of it all the same though I hope you have a great time, happy belated anniversary as well!

Quick life update: I just got myself a biscuit and some milk {I am an adult, I promise} couldn't be bothered to get another cup despite it appearing too small for the biscuit, just dipped. IT FIT ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. I shouldn't feel this proud, but I do.

Snowdrift was broken out of her thoughts by the approaching she-cat. She listened to her speak, "That would be a wonderful idea." She still felt tired despite how much she rested. "Where do you plan? I hope not too far?" She got up, stretching. "I'm afraid I might've not had enough sleep, hah." She chatted, trying to strike up friendly small talk. She padded to the camp entrance, fluffing out her pelt. "To be honest, the clan could use some event. It feels like only tragedy has been happening lately."
"Maybe a contest? The apprentices would enjoy that, at least. And Starclan knows it'd fill up our bellies." She added, with a small chuckle. She peered out at the light snow and tasted the relatively warm air, "Good hunting weather, at the very least! Always something to look forward to." She frowned. Despite the floods she needed to keep her chin up, but it was difficult.
- Harepaw -Harepaw knew she should grieve some more, but she couldn't. She knew how bad that sounded, so she mostly kept it to herself. She just knew it wasn't helping her in the slightest and it felt like she was trying to contain a small bird when she tried. It just wasn't going to happen. Because of this, she felt relieved when she saw Avalanchepaw walking into the den. Someone to talk to.
"Hey Avalanche!" She called back to him, getting up. Her eyes widened when she heard his idea. "A joke?" She echoed, eyes shining. She lowered her voice. "Do you mean, a prank?" She grinned, mischief abundant. "Yeah, I can be your right paw gal for that." She thought, humming to herself and scheming. "Got any ideas? We're kind of limited in our options right now."

"I was just thinking we go to Bitter Trail," Crystalfeather said, padding past Snowdrift and heading towards the trail. She was glad the she-cat talked, otherwise it would have made the trip to the trail awkward. Walking in silence was not something Crystalfeather enjoyed. She talked smoothly, making sure to also pay attention to her surroundings.
"I agree, tragedy is on everyone's minds right now," she replied. "The flood was very recent though, so I'm sure the Clan will get over it with a little time. An event where apprentices race to see who catches something first is the first thing that came to mind." She smiled at the thought.
"We could consult with Tundrastar, perhaps. Even our leader looks gloomy these days." Crystalfeather got distracted as they neared Bitter Trail, sniffing around for any prey. She couldn't smell any, however, and looked back at Snowdrift. "I hope we find prey. We're all about to go hungry if the mice in these mountains don't come out."

"Well, we should pick someone to pull a prank on first. I just don't know any ideas that wouldn't scare a cat." He thought for a moment. "Maybe we could mix around Newtspeck's herb supply? Or scatter pieces of fresh-kill around camp?" Avalanchepaw tilted his head, sitting down next to Harepaw and thinking some more.
"The second idea sounds kinda dumb.. Do you have any?" He flicked his tail back and forth.
"I know Hollydawn isn't a good victim.. She's scared too easily.." Avalanchepaw made a list of all the members of his clan who might react well or at least mildly to a prank. When all he could think of was Ravenflight and the kits, the tom looked down at Harepaw for some help.

Snowdrift nodded, agreeing with her. "If we'll find any prey at the moment, It'll probably be there." She blinked around, looking at the changing environment as they walked closer to the trail. "I hope the clan will recover soon, at the very least." She coughed, before continuing in a quieter tone. "I'm afraid if the clan goes on like this we may not have much of a clan left. Everyone's... Drifting apart. Snapping at each other. I'm not even sure the mountains are where we belong anymore, as much as I hate to admit it."
She shifted, then quickly changed the subject and returned to her normal voice. "Yes, there could be different events. Maybe a tree-climbing contest?" She smiled somewhat, remembering that was one of her strengths when she was an apprentice. Her smile faded. "Can you blame Tundrastar? He has a lot on his shoulders. We all do, really."
She took a deep breath of the frigid air. "I don't smell anything, either. The flood must've killed some of the prey." She peered into the sky above her. "I haven't seen many hawks lately, either. Maybe we should travel further up the trail? The prey could've climbed higher up the mountain."
(Obviously We'll only prank the nursery if the kits/queen are ok with their OCs getting involved.)
- Harepaw - Harepaw shook her head. "Those ideas won't do, I'm afraid. Newtspeck would kill us and he already has enough to do. The whole clan would also kill us if we wasted prey like that." She closed her eyes, humming in apparently deep thought. "I agree with your ideas on who to prank. The wrong cat and we might end up chased to the bottom of the mountain by next sunrise. Believe me, I have first hand experience." She rolled her eyes. "Well, not to the bottom of the mountain part, but still."
Suddenly, she opened and widened her eyes as if she found a hollow full of rabbits. "I got one! We could take some glittering gemstones and plant them outside the nursery. Then, we can pretend they just grew out of the ground or something." She snickered. "Imagine the kit's faces when we tell them." She thought some more. "Or, is that lame? I don't know. I might have a plan, though. We'd have to go to at least the Glittering Pass without being seen to collect the gems. Are you particularly stealthy? I'm afraid I might fail in that regard." She gave a self-deprecating laugh, then turned and waited for his response to the idea.
