Sorry replies took forever to get out! Here they are!
Necro, feel free to throw whoever at Cascadefall c: Newtspeck was quiet for a moment, thinking back to the times where he would play with Tundrastar as a kit. A frown rested upon his muzzle as the memories flooded his mind. Clan life seemed easier when they were younger, even before he was an apprentice. Life seemed to go downhill in terms for him since Rockpaw died when they were apprentices. He lashed his tail and turned his attention back towards Tundrastar, a flash of annoyance and anger in his gaze.
"You think I feel any better?" He started, his voice a cheer hiss of annoyance. "I'm the medicine cat! And I couldn't save any of them!" He huffed, ears flattened slightly. His yellow gaze shifted to look ahead once more, his body relaxing and growing less tense. Closing his eyes, Newtspeck continued. "Death is always at the end of life. We all die, Tundrastar. Starclan just deemed it was their time when it happened." His voice was softer as he got to his paws.
Tail going to rest on Tundrastar's shoulders, he looked at the leader- his best friend. "Let's talk more outside of camp. I want to check my herb gardens for damage, and see what I can salvage." He meowed, twitching his head back to gesture towards the exit of camp. He also decided it'd be better if they spoke of these problems outside of camp to avoid eavesdroppers.
Cascadefall was having it rough. Very rough. She was watching Frecklekit toss a pebble back and forth between her paws, her blue eyes almost gray with emotions that seemed to trap her in her thoughts. Cascadefall, despite being back to her warrior duties, was still sleeping cozy in the nursery, taking care of the three kittens that had lost their parents in the flood. The queen herself had lost her family- her two kits and her mate, in the flood. She was dark and miserable, but tried her hardest to love Cariboukit and Frecklekit and their sibling with everything she could muster.
The lynx point tabby glanced up at Newtspeck's slightly loud outburst, but tried to ignore it. She could feel a tension radiating off the medicine cat, watching his ticked tabby pelt fluff up before he had calmed himself down. Curiosity scratched at her brain but she stayed put. Cascadefall had honestly not left camp much since she lost her litter, refusing to go outside. But it was only time that'd heal. She would eventually.
Sighing, the queen slowly curled up, tucking her paws under her chest and curling her tail over the front of her body. Narrowing her eyes, Cascadefall watched the small kitten throw a few rocks around, staying quiet and keeping to herself. |

hey guys! i'll get a response up soon ross, but i assigned mentors for icepaw and hailpaw, so i'll have tundra do a 're-assignment' ceremony tonight and we'll just say that the apprentices lost their mentors in the floods, so they're getting new ones ^.^]

Sorry for being so poofy of recent, I ended up stranded away from home for two days due to the poor weather. [yes three inches of snow is considered terrifying in england] and haven't had access to a laptop properly since sunday. I'm back and safe now, so thanks for your patience!

I was stuck on the coast, with England's biggest mountainrange {the lake district} covered in ice and snow between me and home {the movie will be coming out august of 2019 XD it was truly harrowing XD} fortunately I managed to find a hotel that let me stay a couple of days longer than I had booked for. Bit of an adventure, but glad to be home.

Batscreech could be found hanging around the warriors den, alone as he usually was. Death was still fresh on everyone's mind from the flood, which was to be expected. The clan had suffered a great loss; It was only natural for the clan to be in a state of mourning for quite sometime. Apprentices had lost their mentors, warriors had lost their friends, the clan had lost the deputy, and most had lost a family member. The air almost reeked of stress, sadness, and grief.
Batscreech was different. He had been sad to see some of his warriors go, but he was one of the few to have not lost anyone especially close to him. Grief was not an emotion he felt for just anyone, so he seemed rather calm in comparison to his mourning clan mates. He could feel the stress in the air, and it seemed to be building to what he could only assume would be a complete breakdown of the clan.
He didn't flinch at the medicine cats words that rang through the camp. One might think Batscreech was being heartless, but it was only in his nature to block out his emotions. He preferred to think logically, but sometimes that could manifest as a lack of emotion. He sighed, silently wishing things could just go back to normal. His faith in Tundrastar was beginning to waver, as it became more and more obvious the leader was struggling to keep everyone hopeful. He laid on the ground of the cavern, lost in thought as he rested his head on his paws and stared absently at the ground. The only movement that came from him as an occasional flick of his tail.

~ Breeze ~ The wind seemed determined to rip through Breeze's pelt. He didn't know why in their right minds his parents would name him after this current, whoever they were. A pang of a emotion akin to loneliness poked him, but he shook it away and himself out of his thoughts. There were more pressing manners at hand. He turned to his current traveling companion, a cat called River. He nodded, more to collect his thoughts than anything. "We've walked this far? It doesn't... Seem like it." He blinked, trying to find any shapes in the distance of the snowy horizon. If he didn't know better, he could've believed they hadn't traveled at all. "Should we stop to try to find shelter or continue traveling?" His paws were starting to ache and he could use some fresh-kill. He peered at the sky, a solid light gray as it always was during the day. It was times like this when he forget why he really chose to climb the mountain. He looked back at the she-cat, a tiredness in his gaze. "Or should we turn back?" This question was quieter than the other two and he didn't really know why he bothered saying it. He already knew the answer, after all.

With aching paws, cold weather, and a hungry belly, it was safe to say River was not in a good mood. And when her companion spoke to her, she sighed in annoyance. Not towards him, but towards the situation in general. All she wanted was a cozy place to sleep and some plump fresh-kill. She was thankful for her thick fur keeping her from being too cold, but every breeze that passed by only irritated her more. She found herself agreeing with Breeze. If it weren't for her paws, it would have felt like they'd only moved a fox length. But with the pain that radiated from the pads of her paws up her legs, they must have made some distance from their starting point.
"Everything looks the same." She grumbled, wishing for, at the very least, a change of scenery. But of course, not even that could be done for her. "I need some fresh-kill. Then we can talk about our plans for the rest of the day." She decided, not caring much for her friends opinion. But at his next statement, she lashed out at him. "The last thing we'll do is turn back!" She hissed, flattening her ears. Normally River isn't one to randomly get angry at others, but she had a short-temper at the moment. She uttered a small, barely audible apology before turning away. She now focused her senses on finding something to fill her belly.

Breeze's tail twitched against the snowy ground while he listened to River. His stomach angrily bit at him while he slowly turned around, paws shaking against his will. "I'm just saying. We've been traveling for so long and we don't even know how near we are to the top." Now his voice seemed to shake against his will along with his paws while he focused on controlling what he said. "I don't know if I can take much more of this." He tried to clear his thoughts and focus on hunting like River was doing, but it seemed more words kept pounding at the back of his throat and his head felt fuzzy.
"Are you sure this is what you even want?" His ears swiveled back against his will. What was he feeling? Exhausted and annoyed, but something else, too. "I mean- What's even out here?" He said, voice raising against his will while he glanced around the frozen wasteland. He let out a hiss. "We could..." He didn't finish his sentence and looked away. Why was he going to say that? He took a deep breath. "-Hunting." He said, to himself. Why was he feeling angry? He barely ever felt angry, but the fact that even his tongue felt frozen, he was starving, and he desperately wanted to sleep contributed to an almost uncontrollable growing flame inside him. "I'm just giving the idea." He muttered. He felt like his mouth and mind were two different things. Why did he have to keep ranting? He didn't know anymore. Nothing in this mountain seemed to make sense.
