Drawing Eaglekit is, hands down, my favourite part of drawing this comic. I think he gets better with every page.
And I’m glad you like the mountains!
I’m excited because there’s only one more page of nursery backgrounds, then I can draw some foliage that isn’t moss!

The Shadow x Eagle friendship is one of the best things about Curse, though!
Also, I got a new iPad today! Feeling a little bit spoiled by my family (it’s for university work, but shhhhhh). I will definitely be saving towards Procreate - which I think is probably the best art app on the market at th moment - and an Apple Pencil, so maybe the pages will get a bit of a quality upgrade once I can afford the software.

I actually think the website was taken down, so all the images hosted on it came down as well. I’ll have to reupload all the pages with imgur. The only problem is they’re all saved on my old iPad, which is back at my family’s place. The next time one of them comes up to visit, I’ll have them bring it!
Or... maybe I just... redraw... with my considerably better art skills...

That's a lot of work...but also, great practice, and you would probably feel better about the comic too xD
I am totally up for a remastered Curse comic. Especially now since you know the ending to the story!!

Well, I am about to go on four months of summer break...
... and I may or may not have spent the past hour thumbnailing the first part of the prologue.
You know I love drawing comics, and it would be extremely satisfying to see a finished (or at least more completed) product. And it would be a fantastic way to improve...

Only to realize the positive message thread I took over in OTD had 5 images hosted on tiny pic. So I'm really bummed about that.
But that aside, ha, ha. Your dedication is beautiful Dingo. I ... need ... to steal it.
I've recently found out my phone takes better pictures than my camera, yet I still have been forgetting to upload my comic pages. I feel so guilty. ;-;

Trust me when I say I’ll need something to occupy me over the summer break. Four months is a really long time.
I do have a major commitment to Curse at this point. I would love to have all these pages finished one day. Maybe I’ll tackle another story in the years to come.

Psst. Hey » ѕнαdσω ⚔️. Have a Shadowhunter and a Lionshadow.
My character design skills have improved somewhat since they made their first appearances in the comic XD
Shadowhunter is unusual for a Valley cat; I imagine that short hair is a recessive gene, and so is usually bred out after a couple of generations. She also has the white masking gene. She also carries the red tabby gene, meaning her daughters are tortoiseshell. She’s slender, with a sharp, fine-boned face - which she passes on to Jadefox. Lionshadow, on the other hand, has all the stereotypical MountainClan genes - in short, the boy is BIG and FLUFFY, with broad shoulders and a short, broad muzzle. He’s a black smoke tabby. His daughter Shadowkit has the same genetic build - which means our Shadowface has it, too, although she inherits it from Wanderer.
I like to think that the most common patterns in MountainClan are tortoiseshell and tabby. Solid colours are pretty much unheard of. Aside from Shadowhunter, the only cold coloured cat in the story will be Darkmoon, who will be solid black.

I’ve been focusing on proportions lately, and loosening/freeing up my poses so characters seem less rigid. I’m really, really glad that there’s visible improvement??? And I’m really glad there’s visible differences between the two of them - my characters seem to suffer ‘same face syndrome’ a little, so I’m working on varying up their shapes. I’m really, really glad you like them oh my god. XD
