The smell is very familiar to him, and suddenly the purple cat he had visions of is infront of him. ” Finally after all this time Bart, I can kill you. But none of this has anything to do with you and LeafClan. It’s just you, since you were a kit. You ruined my reputation in the neighbourhood when you were a kit. The little prankster were you? Not anymore.”The tom goes to strike a blow at Bart’s cheek, but suddenly Tinypaw burst into the den with a patrol of Oatdapple, Finchlight, Sandleap, Dustpelt and Simon. ”That’s what I want!” The purple cat pinned Tinypaw by the throat “Did you know your daughter was special? She has an importance to this Clan.”

Houndpaw comes down with a weird case with whitecough, saying he'll be fine. But he asks Snowstar and Simon to let him bring a small patrol down to the place where he hid away as a kit.
Sagefur and Skycloud come back to the camp covered in scratches and bites yowling about a group of rogues that've attacked them at the edge of AspenClan. Skycloud faints soon after, unsure he'll live, he is ushered to the medicine den until further notice.

Simon, although of Brooktail’s message towards him, begins to wonder wether he should’ve ever joined the Clan again. As he sleeps with worry, Brooktail comes to him in a dream, telling him that a great danger is lurking around admist outside the Clans. He rubs it off as a hallucination of worry.
A cat named Scattered Leaves joins the Clan. Simon shows hate towards the She-cat, but the Clan scorn him for being so hateful to the new arrival, of course no one but Simon knows of the great danger that is supposed to come from outside the Clans.

She gives him hints that a cat is coming for revenge on the Clan because they were formally a Clan cat, but left for dead by the Clan. Snowstar and Simon finally buckle and let Houndpaw leave camp despite his cough getting worse. Simon stumbled over the thick mud and flicked his paws in annoyance. "Jeez, this was where you lived? How did you even survive?"
"Turtlekit's mother found me around here and caught me food. She taught me to hunt." The dual furred tom was able to wheeze through his sore throat, not ever minding the mud that'd sunk him to his haunches as the patrol grew closer to the drowned pond.
"Who is this Turtlekit? And their mother?" Simon looked about the sunken pine and waddled next to Houndpaw. He was the only other one in this journey. They had not expected they'd venture so far from the camp. This place was too close to the edge. It was as if Houndpaw was drawn out here.
Houndpaw finally stopped as a broken stump, the fabled pond filled with algae and swimming fish next to it. And the apprentice looked inside the stump, growing solemn.
"Heartypetal. She said only to come here for emergencies..." The tom slinked inside and drew out dried catmint of which he helped himself to chew on. "When she came here, she said 'of how will they feel? Is Snowstar going to ever decide!?' And when her kits came-"
"Her kits!?" Simon gawked. "She had kits and never told us!?"
"She said she asked Snowstar if she could stay. I guess Snowstar never gave her an answer." He scooted out more herbs, mixed of old and new. "When she never came back, Turtlekit asked me to go home since Umbridgekit and Bellykit went to RoseClan."
"Didn't Heartypetal come from..." the deputy worried, he remembered how Heartyypetal shivered and felt inclined to flinch when the Clan first found her. "If those kits went back to RoseClan, then we need to bring them home."
"Turtlekit agrees." Skycloud makes a slow recovery, but there's worry as their remaining injury in slowly claiming their right eye. They both notice shadows around them, and rogues step out the bushes. They are trapped and captured. A she cat comes to the Clan with her two apprentice aged kits and her one younger kit. Meanwhile, Simon and Scattered Leaves are captured. Minnie comes up to them, and prepares revenge. Simon asks who she even is, and Minnow replies that he should already know who she is, and that he’s seen her before. A flash of recognition in his mind takes him back to a battle when one certain cat was killed. His eyes flicker with the the thought of one cats name floating into his head.
