Saaaaame. I think I should as well. But there's an illusive creature called Time and I'm out of shape, so I'm not good at catching it. Let me dig out my pictures. (I sound like that one mother who wont let anyone leave the room until she shows off Jimmy when he was six and learning how to build in the sandbox.) Enjoy my outrageous crossover pictures that I said he was from, lol  The other guy is someone I RP called Myrnin. He isn't 'mine', since he's a canon character.  Then that's Penny my human OC on the left. He smiles. I like drawing him smiling because he needs to be happy.  So I drew all these and I have some from Art Fight last year.   He isn't my son anymore because he's apparently been stolen from me for his protection, but I'd talk about him for ages if no one told me to shut up. He wears a bird necklace which his dad gave him - but his dad died two years ago and Samuel ran away from home because of the whole being a vampire thing, so he only had the necklace and the clothes on his back. So the necklace is very important to him. Who are Bakugou and Byakuya? o.o The first name looks familiar somehow. |

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well! ^^
So, I kind of have a question. If you're in the middle of writing a story but then you realize that you absolutely hate the way it's written, would it be okay to go back and rewrite all of the previous chapters, even though they've already been uploaded to the internet? Asking for a friend lol.

I've seen it done before with mixed results. Personally, I'd keep in mind this: It's your story and first and foremost you are always writing it for yourself. So if you want to redo it, then do it. The people reading will understand.

Imo there's no shame in going back and changing stuff it you think it will improve the project you care so deeply for. An art equivalent would be like, erasing an eye that was drawn well to replace it with something absolutely breathtaking. Bakugou from My Hero Academia! Ah ha! I knew they were familiar! A friend of mine used to RP them and I was just thinking that you seem to pick the same sorts of favorite characters, so that's how I knew them! I've been meaning for, like, ages to look into My Hero Academia (wait ... I swear I'm not pronouncing Academia right and I only now noticed). But I haven't done it yet. Despite the fact that I could so easily at least get the manga from my library if nothing else.
I have a limited knowledge of who's in there. I just know 4 characters from it, since I'm in, you guessed it, an RP.

Thank you for your answers, guys! Yeah, I guess itโs natural to hate your own writing. But I still feel like I should improve and do better. I kind of hit a motivational wall so to speak, which is partly why I havenโt really been working on my story. And I think it's just because I hate my writing style.
I still care about the story of course, and want to finish it and if Boop says they would read it again then no harm done I guess ^^

I swear MHA is like,,,this generation's Naruto. Like it's gotten so popular that even people who don't watch anime could potentially recognize it lol. It's a pretty great show!! Granted I'm still crawling through the second season and tbh there are some things about the anime in particular that have started to get on my nerves, but the story and the characters are all just,,,so good. I love it. I haven't read the manga but tbh I really should.
Honestly I've heard sooo many people pronounce it like Acad-AY-mia, like it's a macadamia nut lol. Actually....Macadamia would be a pretty good shortcut for it ngl
Wait now I'm second guessing myself and getting confused. What IS the right way to pronounce it?? *shooketh*
PATIENCE. Boo. Desiring to improve and do better is a good attitude to have. I hope you can get to the point where you no longer hate your writing style, because obvi I think you're a great writer and I want you to reach a point where you can be happy with your work too.

I've seen you around as well and am sure we must have talked in passing, but I don't believe we've ever seriously interacted. Yeah, I hardly remember that, actually. My memories funny like that. Some brief conversation I'll remember and another will be long gone. XD Pfft. I don't know, I'm just myself. But your energy is very inspiring! It is, it is! Everyone I know is into it. And by the time I actually get into it, this generation will be on to something else. What's gotten on your nerves, if you don't mind me asking? I'll still try out it either way, because that's just me - I read everything or try it at least once - but I like hearing about what people like or don't like about something. I ... don't believe there are many shows where I watched the anime first. I can't think of any case, actually. I have no idea! I was just looking at the word a couple minutes ago and realizing, in theory, you could pronounce it like Academy. So I started second guessing myself too, since I've been doing macadamia nut. |

Oh, on the fact that BNHA is like this generations Naruto can I just say that I'm so jealous that they get Deku while we all got stuck with Sasuke and Naruto?? Deku is ten times better than those two combined!

Never got into Naruto growing up but I think I can agree, Deku is surperior. And I mean BNHA isnโt perfect, but itโs still a really, really good show! Definitely worth a shot.

I watched the original Naruto (skipped the filler) and some of Shippuden. It's nowhere near as good as BNHA, that's for sure.

I have a soft spot for Naruto. I've never seen the anime but I've read all of the manga. The story has some issues but there's a certain charm to it
I still need to catch up with bnha. I like what I've read so far though.

I LOVE THE HAIR. Itโs so cute and a really nice color! And I think it goes well with the eyes too, and how the eyes match the background. Also I really like the expression they are making lol. Overall, nice aesthetic ^^ Your oc is so adorable.

Well he's part of a Pokemon rp i'm in, and right now he has a Dartrix, Ampharos, and Banette! His team is more likely to be competitive since he's going to battle gyms. I also have a botanist character as well, but I haven't drawn him in a long time so all of the drawings are super old.

One thing is that all the characters' names and quirks appear on the screen to REMIND you who they are at LEAST once every episode, which is annoying and also overwhelming because that's just,,, too much text on screen at once especially when you're watching subbed. I hate the instinct to try and read all the floating text around the screen when it's just trying to reintroduce the characters I already know. So that's bothersome.
Another thing is the dialogue. The characters explain everything LITERALLY right after it happens. Like you don't even have to actually be watching the screen because every MINISCULE thing that happens is narrated. It's like,,, yeah, I know what just happened and realize what that means cause I just SAW it!! You don't have to explain it to me!!! It's annoying! But I realize that they want to keep the story easy to follow so that anyone can get into it with no real difficulty or thinking involved, but to me it just feels a little insulting?? I guess?
I mean the show is still very much worth watching obvi but those were some things that continue to bother me I think you and I are opposites in that regard, lol. I think the only anime I've seen where I read the manga first was The Ancient Magus Bride, and I...didn't even like it that much?? The anime made me quit reading the manga too actually lol. RIP. But a number of anime have made me want to read the manga, like MHA, Owari no Seraph (of course), School Babysitters, Mekakucity Actors, etc. Unfortunately I suck at reading manga so all of those are still tucked away in a to-do list RIP I've been pronouncing it like Ac-uh-dim-ee-uh but tbh I don't even know anymore lmao. As far as I'm aware macadamia nut seems to be the consensus?? idk tho lol ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ADSKDASFDSFDS IM LOVE HIM???? HE'S CUTE AS HECC???? Blond, glasses, done stole my heart already big uwu's here. I haven't see the anime, so I actually don't know what they did with it. I think I prefer Frau Faust?But something tells me only 5 volumes will have the series end too quickly. School Babysitters is basically a really cute slice-of-life anime that came out in I believe spring of last year, and it has a manga too. The toddlers are adorable, the students are precious, and the one guy who actually gets paid to babysit is such a MOOD. And it's really funny, at least it was for me lol. The butler is the BEST character of the whole bunch.
Mekakucity Actors is based on the Kagerou Project, a series of vocaloid songs that tell a story in a really confusing way. Honestly the only way I got into this story is because a friend who's smarter than me explained it all. It has a manga that's still ongoing I think called Kagerou...Daze? Days? It says both depending on your source. Anyway there's a large cast who's stories are all interwoven together and it's still hard to wrap my head around it even after years. could give both kingdom hearts AND fnaf a run for their money honestly
What's Frau Faust? I haven't heard of that.
Currently MHA has 3 seasons, the first one has 12 epsiodes but the latter two run for twice as long. There's been a fourth season announced for...fall of this year I think?

That actually sounds like something I'd be interested in watching! I'll look it up! Thanks for telling me about it. Oh! So I sort of know about Mekakucity Actors. Because I've seen Kagerou Daze. The story line lost me even in the manga - and I'm usually pretty adept at the confusing story line style of things. It's a manga which I'd actually really like to see as an anime. Frau Faust is a twist on the story of Faust - otherwise know as the man who made a deal with the devil. Frau Faust (Frau is the German word for Woman or Mrs.) is a story set in the time this deal was made (only with a demon, since there are several within the story I felt the need to make a distinction). Faust is a woman who's interested in science. It's told from a couple POVs, but mostly from that of a younger boy who meets her and is interested in why she doesn't seem able to die and various other oddities. It's a very touching story actually and I like the fact that Faust is just ... very sarcastic and very cool. There are a bunch of things within the story which keeps it interesting. It's only 5 volumes, which concerns me about the pacing in book 5. Since that's the lasted I've gotten and I haven't finished it yet. Here's a cover, which gives you a fair idea of Faust's personality: "Please scream at me to finish BMC" Finish BMC!!!!!! |

You're doing a good job selling Frau Faust - that sounds really interesting and I might actually check it out!! Demons are super cool tbh and so are the humans that borrow their power. Take Black Butler, for example lol. It's a total crime to rush pacing at the end and I hate when stories do that, so I totally understand your fears there. But if they do manage to work it out okay then I might actually like it; quicker reads are rather nice imo as long as the plot is nicely wrapped in a neat little bow. Better for my attention span lol. That's a nice cover, btw - Faust seems sassy and cool
