guys!! if you want to see the movie just a heads up there is lots of 'triggering' content:
-racist stereotypes -religion-bashing -a graphic food orgy (for the sex-repulsed) -a whole bunch of other -phobia -a **** scene -female characters apparently being harshly abused?
this movie's literal only thing is that they made sex jokes that would entertain a 12 year old, say the f word a lot, and use a format for kids shows (CGI) to make it 'adult' as shocking as possible. I wouldn't recommend giving your money to support this film. Of course, no offense to those who enjoyed it! I myself enjoy many problematic things but like, there's just something about SP that strikes me the wrong way

Tbh, I'm glad I didn't see this movie. I knew it had some sexual stuff in it, but I had no idea the extent of it until someone told me.

I'm not saying the movie isn't awful, but crude jokes make fun of everyone so I don't see that being a big problem. I make fun of myself all the time lol

Okay, it's late so I don't feel like writing an essay or w/e, but basically i really don't think Sausage Party is all that big of a step forward because, yeah, it is an r-rated animated movie that looks like it's for kids, but the idea that animation can be adult isn't all THAT new, what with South Park, Family Guy, etc. The part that people in the West still haven't accepted, is that animation can be intended for mature audiences while also being serious/not just a South Park rehash. So I don't think Sausage Party is really treading lots of new ground. If they wanted to make an animated movie that would be a jab at the "all animation is for kids" idea, it should have been serious/not a comedy imo

The movie does not appeal to me, but it is rather funny to see people react to the content.
To elaborate, people who take a comedy-horror about grocery objects seriously.
The idea is sheer madness.

I like how most adult cartoons have a childish sense humor anyway. It doesn't do them any favors.
