(In one of my recent posts Ghio's followers came from the trees, having been hiding there as stated in a post earlier in the scene x3 And he instructed them to try and get the dogs to let go of the chains so the creature can free itself, and now our group of six is trying to defend the dogs. )

Oh yes I saw that. But who is Ghio?)

(He's kind of a rebel leader in Mysha and Drake's kingdom, didn't like that they came into power. And when the previous leader in power, he and that leader had been plotting to release the creature anyway. So basically he's just a villain for now xD)

Aldnoa didn't want to charge into battle. He didn't want to fight in such a big, dangerous battle where an attack might come from any side. Most of all, he didnt want Larkes here, in danger. So he lunged forward, ignoring any other orders, and following Larkes, defending him from threats.

Like blood from a wound, people started coming from the trees. Not an army or anything, but still a large amount compared to only six individuals. It was arguable to say who was outmatched though. As some went for Drake, Mysha and their dragons, others went for Aldnoa and Larkes. Some were also trying to get at the chains held by the dogs though, someone with blue fire trying to heat the chains, probably to see if they would melt.

Drake immediately roasted the one trying to attack the gains, while Shard defended his partner and his mate. Larkes was busily fighting with his sword, fighting back enemies as they approached. “Roast them Aldnoa.” He said with a growl.

Mysha felt satisfaction as the one attacking the chains was roasted. Looking around, she hefted her spear and threw it, sending another flying back. She went to go retrieve it, pulling the weapon out of the soldier's chest. That was when she heard it. Help me. Turning, she watched as something reached up out of the hole and grabbed one of the dogs by its neck and then some, as if trying to get ahold and pull itself out, dragging the dog forward a little. Mysha raised and threw her spear again, watching the molten appendage let go and fall back in with a shriek of anger, allowing the dog to keep pulling. That was when Ghio stepped in front of her, about to attack, but was forced back by a stream of flames upon his side from Ma'ait.

Fire poured from the mouth of the mechanical beast. Flame engulfed every victim ahead of Larkes, almost ten men deep, and then maybe more. It was devastation, and Aldnoa called out his battle cry in a roar.

Shard snarled when Ghio neared Mysha And also blasted the creature with Ma’ait. As he noticed the appendage fell into the pit, the male dragon snarled again and kept attacking the enemy.
Larkes smiled and watched as his partner annohilated the enemy and then he himself clocked and guy running at them.
Pyre shook his head vehemently and looked up at his siblings. “No we can’t! We’re not nearly powerful enough to help. We’d just worry our parents more.” He said, suddenly the voice of reason unlike Scaws.

Ghio was stepping back, a field of light keeping him mostly protected, but it was clear he was wearing down. Giving in, he disappeared in a flash of light, though blood was left behind. It was then that one of the chains was yanked right from a dog's mouth, disappearing into the flames. The dog didn't leap after it though, instead latching onto the next available chain and helping pull.
Xandrite looked stressed, pacing a little before deciding to listen to Pyre. "I just feel like something bad is happening. I can just... tell." It wasn't something to just brush off that happened earlier with her. What if they were at the Dark Trap and something was happening?

Aldnoa spared a glance back. Someone was behind him, hacking at the chain with a saw. A quick flick of his tail impaled the troublemaker, and he sent the man careening backwards with a cannonball-sized hole through the center of the chest. "Larkes! This is dangerous. I recommend you and I retreat to a safe distance." He called to his friend.

Drake watched as Ghio escaped and he snarled loudly. “Kill the rest of the soldiers before they escape!” Drake shouted, and Shard happily obliged with a giant plume of black.
“Nonsense, Aldnoa. We came here to see this thing and we should help the leaders defend their territory!” Larkes instantly replied.

Ma'ait started going after the soldiers, Mysha too to simply get rid of them. The soldiers were running and trying to escape, but they were unsuccessful. Smiling slightly, she got a small boost of confidence as she fought, but she saw one of the dogs pull even harder, as if something were pulling back on its chain, dragging it forward. Another appendage reached up, grabbing onto it. Mysha blinked in surprise when the stone actually cracked, and the head busted off, the chain flying around wildly before disappearing into the fire. Four left.

Drake looked over as the dog was snapped in two and he grunted. “We need to get back. Now.” He said, running to his dragon joe that all the enemies were taken care of. Larkes leaped onto his dragon’s back and said, “Take off Aldnoa!”
“And if they’re gonna be that close then we would be in dangerous too. Let’s just fly back to home and ask someone what’s happening.” Pyre said, nosing his older sister comfortingly.

Mysha backed up a few paces, watching as the remaining four chains were becoming strained. Growling, she turned and went back toward Ma'ait, hopping on as another dog was grabbed. "Just get a distance. I want to see what-" She winced as another dog was broken up, the large hand grabbing the stone chest and squeezing till it broke. That actually caused another dog to sliding in so there were only two chains left. There wasn't anything else they could do except watch, and Ma'ait turned and took flight.
Xandrite looked unsure, but nodded. She then looked over at Hei Lung's skeptical look. "We'll be back," she promised. "I think we all just want to make sure our family is safe." She then turned to lead her siblings back outside.

Drake and Larkes rose on the backs of their dragon’s as they flew upwards. “This is really bad.” Drake said as he looked down at the pit.
Pyre nodded to Hei Lung as they walked away and his tail waved. Scaws padded after them quickly, remaining close to his siblings.

Mysha had Ma'ait pull up beside Shard, glancing over at Drake and Larkes. What she really wanted to know is what Ghio did to loosen up the trap, cause she know it had something to do with him. She watched as the last two dogs were broken apart, the chains slithering back into the flames. At first, there was nothing. Then, like some sort of volcano, lava began spurting up, and Mysha hissed for Drake and Larkes to move, Ma'ait already flying to avoid the fiery rain, getting out of range. Looking back, she saw something crawl out, eyes glowing and body bubbling. Her eyes narrowed as it looked up at the circling dragons. A short while of walking back, Xandrite hitched in her step, teeth gritting as she just stopped. Eyes shut, she got a look of worry from Magna. It was only for a moment though, Xandirte relaxing, though her breathing was heavy.

Shard flew after his mate and Larkes guided Aldnoa after them. As they turned to look back, Drake shuddered as he looked at the grotesque beast. “Oh no...” he said.
Pyre and Scaws stopped as their sisters did. “It’s okay, Xandrite. Corn on let’s get back. It’ll be okay.” Scaws said, nuzzling her softly.

Mysha felt mainly stressed as she stared down at the monster, watching it look around, the ground set aflame with each step. Jaws gaping, a rough but feminine voice scratching out in humanspeak. "Ah... how good it feels to stretch my wings." Said wings quivered as they stretched out, absolutely massive. Looking up, the creature studied the group. "... you... did you all help me?"
Xandrite just looked stressed, but a little comforted by her siblings. "I just hope everyone is okay," she murmured. "If anything happens to them, we're beating up whoever hurt them!"

(Sorry I've been gone! Busy as all hell.)
Aldnoa felt fear deep within him. It was terrifying. "Larkes... I'm taking us home." He murmured, beginning to fly backwards, recoiling as far as he could from the beast.

(It's alright x3 I've been busy as well, and life is more important than rp x3)
Mysha glanced over at Larkes and Drake. "We'll go back to the fort," she offered the arrivals, turning Ma'ait to fly away. "It seems confused, so we have some time." She assumed the two wanted in on the planning it would likely take to deal with that thing. So, motioning for them to follow, she led them back toward the
The creature stared as the humans turned to leave. Did they not help her? She supposed not. Snorting, a spurt of lava spattered onto the ground before turning. There was a human in black fur approaching the huge beast, eyes wide with curiosity. Hm. Maybe it was him.

Drake and Shard flew back towards the fort with a Mysha and Ma’ait, all Shard worries about was his young. He looked back at Larkes yelling at Aldnoa and he shook it off and kept flying.
“Don’t you dare Aldnoa! Follow Mysha and Drake and their dragon’s back to their home. We’re here now, and we might as well show some kindness and goodwill by helping!”

(Alright)
When everyone got back, touching down within the fort walls, Mysha watched as Ma'ait looked around for her young, which were sitting together nearby. As she got off, letting her dragon go over to them, she waited for Larkes and Drake. They could just talk out here, she supposed. "If we don't find a way to kill that thing, then it won't matter where we are. It'll all go up in flames." She could already hear the nervous chatter from beyond the fort walls, but hopefully the people would wait some time before bombarding her and Drake with questions. "Should we even try and go hunt it?" she asked. "It looked confused and disoriented. Maybe we should try killing it now before it gets its bearings?" Though they'd have an army to deal with as well, knowing Ghio had followers.

Aldnoa landed, and let Larkes off his back. "I'm serious." He persisted. "Larkes, we must leave. I doubt that thing can cross oceans, or large bodies of water. Perhaps we can escape across such."

Mysha shook her head at Larkes and Aldnoa. "If it regains strength, no body of water or cold temperature can save you from it, as unlikely as that sounds." She ran a hand through her hair. "Walling ourselves up and only worrying about ourselves will be what allows it to take us down. We need to work together."

Drake nodded in agreement to his wife, staying close to her while he watched Shard pad off, most likely to find his children. “Mysha is right, Aldnoa.” He said, looking up at the mechanical marvel. “We need to stick together and think this through. Soon enough it’ll be too late. This is our openly chance.”
Larkes nodded in agreement to the human King and Queen. “We’re staying Aldnoa.” He said firmly.
Shard was frantically looking around for his children, wanting to make sure they’re alright. Upon seeing Pyre toddling up the rise towards the fort he breathed a sigh of relief, watching as the rest of his kids followed suit. “Children.”! He breathed, welcoming them in and covering each of them in licks. “Are you all okay?”
