Drake had been fighting off enemies when he saw Mysha out of the corner of his eye. At this rate they’d be overpowered. But then he had an idea, something that might just work. Their powers came from the brands they’d been given. So hopefully they were compatible. “Mysha! Let me lend you my power!” He said, and his sword and shield lifted from him and flew towards her, hilts first. “Use my weapons and finish it!” He shouted, and the flames around the wendigo’s tried to angle in and aim for its head to temporarily blind it.

Mysha dropped her spear to accommodate the two objects flying toward her. Catching them, he looked down at them as the wendigo stumbled around. After a second of thought, she actually dropped the sword, deciding to retake her own weapon. Sheepishly smiling over at Drake, she did decide to keep the shield though as her opponent regained himself. Glaring, he charged. The marks on her spear actually kept it from immediately breaking if the sword managed to clash against it. Ducking and sliding, she would get in jabs and pokes, feeling satisfaction if she managed to cut him, and tried not to look weak if she were cut. However, she blinked once in surprise when he spear finally broke, one particularly strong swing managing to snap it in two. The moment of shock allowed her to be hit back, rolling in the dirt, though she had held the shield up just in time as not to be torn into by the hit.
She could see him charging again, running at her. Scrambling for the top half of her spear, she grabbed it as she saw him leaping. She only managed to straighten and stumble a step back before she was tackled. The two went rolling, and stopped with the wendigo squashing on top of Mysha, eyes glossy as a spearhead was clearly displayed, glistening red as it sprouted out from his back. His jaws were red too though, and there was a slight sneer of satisfaction still present even in death.

And the awful beast of a Chief died, his energy and magical control vanished like a ripple and one by one the soldiers all turned to look. Even Shard looked and seeing that Mysha had one he tipped his head back and let out a mighty roar of victory. He then looked to the energy he hand been fighting and he started snarling with newfound energy and determination.
“Get off her!!!” Drake yelled, flying through the air with hands ablaze, not seeing the spear sticking through the creature. He landed on the creature and was about to light him completely on fire when he noticed the spear, mostly cause it was inches from his forehead. “O-o-oh.” He said, jumping off and pulling the now-dead thing off her.

Ma'ait felt the evil energy vanish, and she blew out fire gleefully. She whirled around to smile at her rider, but her features fell when she saw Mysha as Drake moved the wendigo.
Mysha looked to be in a little shock, as may would likely be screaming in pain at a huge bite wound in their shoulder. Thankfully it was the shoulder with no arm, but there were lots of puncture wounds from the monster's fangs and sharp teeth. Blood was gushing everywhere and she was shaking. There was even a puncture wound on her neck, but nothing fatal. The chief must have grabbed her back too, as she had a small puddle developing under her on the right side.

Drake gasped after he’d moved the monster off her, he too noticing the wounds. “Mysha don’t move too much.” He said. There was no time to get a full bandage kit, so he had to go with the next best thing. Grabbing a nearby stick, which happened to be the bottom half of her broken spear, he gently put it in her mouth. “Get ready for some pain, Mysha. But this is what I have to do to keep you alive.” He dad. His hand lit on fire and he started to sear the punctures shut with the heat, and the stick was for her to bite through the pain.
Shard warbled softly as he watched Drake tend to Mysha. “Ma’aot, have you touched any healing substances ever? Like aloe or anything?” he asked the dragoness, trying to think of anything that would help cool and heal the wounds.

Mysha simply bit down on the stick, teeth gritting as Drake worked. Her breathing became heavy, but she made no other noise. She just let him work, not really able to do much else than push through the pain. She could see others gathering, to see the leader dead, whispering and murmuring. Would their new leader live much longer?
Ma'ait thought for a moment before beginning to change. Her body became soil, and plants started growing. Shifting into more than one material put more strain on her, but plants were manageable. Aloe vera popped into view like a layer of scales in some area, but also garlic, which would help keep infection away and reduce pain while aloe vera would help with healing too. She walked over to Drake and settled down, offering what she had so far.

Drake had to gently tear back some of her shirt in order to make it so he could sear the wounds shut but once he did he planted the biggest kiss he could muster into Mysha’s cheek. “You’re gonna be fine, Mysha. Just stay calm. Ma’ait came over with some herbs for me to apply to help the healing. Just stay still. It’ll only sting for a little longer.” He said. He gently took the aloe Vera and the garlic and after he’d harvested the gel from inside the aloe he combined it with the garlic and started to gingerly spread it over Mysha’s back and shoulder and neck. He was careful the whole one, not wanting anyone to get the wrong idea that he was hurting Mysha.

Mysha still managed a blush when Drake kissed her cheek, but made no comment. She just continued to let him work, looking over as Rhayne slowly approached. "When you're finished getting patched up," he said carefully "You need to officially claim your spot, before anyone else tries anything." There were likely still some who wanted to fight, but there was a large circle of soldiers surrounding the small group to make sure no one tried anything. "If you wait for recovery, it will be chaos." He then looked over as the wendigo slowly changed back into a human, though still dead of course. Mysha hummed softly. "Have Olic taken to the butchers. I want his bones in my new armor." Rhayne nodded slowly before waving a hand. A man hurried over and picked the dead chief up and carried him out of sight.

Drake watched as the man was carried away and he shivered. What a creepy idea, having someone’s Bones as part of armor. He shrugged a little and continued to work, soon finishing up. “If anyone does challenge you, Mysha, I’ll gladly fight as your Champion.” He said, referencing the current idea of the time where a king or ruler would have a designated person fight in their place in certain circumstances.

Mysha snorted. "You will not." Rhayne shook his head, saying "Mysha. You wouldn't last long on your own. You need someone to be your bodyguard until you're better." He then cracked a smile. "It will also let him keep his rights to be your husband, when the time arrives, and I have a hunch it will. If he were to just randomly stay, even though he healed you, he would not be taken seriously once you two become official, and likely be murdered." There would likely be some people who would challenge Mysha, and if Drake asserted his dominance to show he would protect her, others would take him more seriously as one of the people.

Drake nodded in agreement to his apparent future uncle-in-law, though he was blushing red from what was being mentioned. “Not to mention, if I had to leave I’d have to take Shard with me... and I don’t think either of our dragons would like us too much f we split them up.” He said, chancing a glance at Shard who was smoking mad, growling softly as well. He sat down next to Mysha and laid his hand over hers. “Let me serve as your guard, at least. If not your Champion.” He said.

Mysha was quiet for a few minutes before finally giving in, nodding. "Fine. Champion it is." She just didn't like the idea of Drake putting himself in danger because of her. Rhayne smiled in amusement before turning to the crowd. "The Bone Bearer is to take her rightful spot as our next leader! Any who wish to attend the ceremony knows where to go. Spread the word!" The entire people obviously would not be able to attend, but word would spread fast either way. Someone new was in charge now. As everyone went their separate ways, some casting glares over at Mysha, she sighed. Looking over at Drake, she smiled slightly. "We did it," she said softly. "No more running." They weren't out of the woods yet, but they were definitely staying.

Drake nodded and smiled as he settled down close beside Mysha and he gently hugged her. “Yes, no more running.” He murmured as he looked at her. “And I’ll be here for you whenever you need me.” He said, offering her a small hug.
Shard had settled next to Ma’ait and wrapped his tail with hers. “We did it, love.” He murmured to her, leaning over and licking her neck.

Mysha smiled slightly. "I'm still holding you to that little tease on the flight here, once I'm better." She then looked at Rhayne, who said "Alright, let's get you to your new home, yes?" He then waved to his soldiers, who closed ranks a bit just to be on the safe side. Mysha nodded once before trying to get up. Gritting her teeth, she seemed to do alright getting up, but only cause she was either numb or the pain was greatly toned down from the herbs.
Ma'ait nuzzled Shard, relief flooding through her. "We did. And hopefully with us around, more dragons will show up too." She smiled coyly. "Maybe even some little ones."

Drake helped Mysha stand up and he smiled a little. “Whenever you want, Mysha. I’m all yours for whatever you desire.” He said with a grin as he looped her remaining arm over his neck and over his shoulder and he laid his hand on her waist to act as a support to Sif her walking.
Shard grinned and warbled happily as he bent down and licked her belly a couple times. “Mmmmm maybe some little ones that come from you? Some children?” He asked as he glanced up at her.

Ma'ait smiled gently and nodded. "Maybe." She looked as everyone began walking, and gestured for them both to follow. "Looks like we can pass through those huge doors easy. Come on. I don't want them out of our sight for now. "
Spectators made way for the group, parting and stepping aside. Most of them called out joy and encouragement, but some were sneering and calling insults. Sighing, she just let Rhayne lead the way. The main fortress was large indeed. Almost could be called a castle, but everyone apparently liked to think that castles looked more refined and pretty. Stone dogs stared down from various spots, and bones were set on sticks, ropes and even set into the walls. None were innocent people though. All evil leaders or severe criminals. There were some Dragon bones lying about, and Mysha growled "Get rid of those. Now." People immediately scrambled to clear the bones out, and she looked ahead as they went inside. The inside was more decorative than the outside, paintings, statues and other works set everywhere. As they made their way around, people bowing as they passed the stone walls, Rhayne said "You need to see the First Dog before the ceremony. Both of you do, actually."

Drake looked around as people immediately responded to her demands. This was incredible, and verything was really. As they entered what was apparently their castle, he looked up at the uncle’s words. “O-okay.” He said, not sure why they were both needed.

As if reading his mind, Mysha said "You're going to sit beside me one day as a chief. You would need to meet the First Dog anyway." Rhayne nodded in agreement as they walked. Soon, they were brought to a large room. It held a LOT of dog statues, each one unique. Seventy-eight, to be exact, and one in the middle. The surrounding ones looked much better crafted, while the one in the middle was subpar and nowhere near as appealing, yet it gave off the most dense aura out of them all. "That's the first one," Mysha said softly. "Who sat in front of the man's house." Everyone stepped aside, and Mysha had Drake stop in front of the crusty statue.

Drake’s eyes widened in awe and surprise. “Really-?” He whispered as he knelt down, expecting that was the proper thing to do. He looked around as everyone stepped back and he just looked around slowly. “It just gets more amazing after every minute.” He whispered.
Shard walked behind the group of humans and he looked around as best he could. He stayed close to Ma’ait while simultaneously making sure no one came to attack.

Mysha chuckled before turning to the dog. She told Drake to do what she did after. She then moved to touch her forehead to the statue, and her pupils dilated to swallow the iris. One second. Two. Three. They then went back to normal. As she moved back, nothing seemed to physically change, but she had a more authoritative accent to her already large energy. Then, one of the statues moved. The stone fell apart to reveal an actual dog. An Irish Wolfhound, a collar of bones around his neck. He trotted over and simply say down beside Mysha.

Drake’s eyes widened as one of the statues broke down and he felt a more dominant aura to Mysha’s already commanding one. He just wanted to bow down at her feet for her. But he resisted and he too gently laid his hand on the statue after getting up. He waited, patiently still just as Mysha did.
Shard watched as everything happened and he growled a little bit. “If Drake gets a puppy it’d better not try to take my place beside him.” He muttered, clearly worried about losing his best friend.

Ma'ait nuzzled Shard reassuringly, saying softly "Dogs can't fly, so I think you're fine." She watched Drake curiously, watching the process repeat. Another statue broke apart. Another dog (species your choice x3) trotted up to him, a collar around its neck too, with a little metal stomach charm as the centerpiece. Mysha's dog sniffed at the other dog curiously before barking lightly.

Sure)) Ocean laughed a little. “Yeah they do try and spread those rumors. But I never believed them.” He said as he continued to help Amanda. He looked out the kitchen window, just observing what was happening outside. Thorn looked up from where he was, digging troughs for seeds and water irrigation with his horns. “Hm? Oh, no I’m fine.” He replied, but was clearly thinking about something. "That is good. Now could you help me by getting a pot of water ready for me please while I toss the tomato salad for tonight?" Amanda said and asked as she poured the dressing ingredients onto the tomatoes before tossing them. "Are you thinking about the human that came with me and Amanda after we got the bow?" Scarlet asked with a sigh as she feels that she hit a rock and started to dig her claws into the soil underneath the stone and started to dig the rock out.

Drake watched as the dog trotted over, a boxer with a white muzzle and dark brown fur and light belly. The dog, a male, barked back heappily as it sniffed the other dog, then seemed to bow down to it like it held more authority over him. “At least they seem to like each other.” He said, looking up at his friend.
Shard warbled happily, tail waving a little. “That’s true.” He murmured, leaning over and licking Ma’ait a few times. “thanks.”

“As you wish.” Ocean said as e walked over to the pot and picked it up after a little struggle, going to fill the pot like she asked.
Thorn’s eyes narrowed and he stood up. “Am I really that transparent?” He asked, tail falling still. “Yes, I guess I was. He’s been snooping around here every other day at least.”

Mysha smiled softly, watching the hound's tail thump against the floor a few times. She then looked over as Rhayne said "These dogs will obey and protect you until the end of your days, where they will return here with First Dog upon your death." He looked back at the others, continuing "Let's go get the day over with, yes? I think we all just want some time to relax. Our new leader sure deserves it!" He then waited for the pair to get up, leading the way out once they were up. Mysha's hound, who she named "Ligach" with a murmur, sniffed at Drake's boxer before immediately following after them, Ma'ait following as well once Shard was walking too.

Drake nodded in agreement and followed after her, calling his boxer ‘Arcane’ and the two walked out behind Mysha and her dog, Arcane woofing happily to Shard and Ma’ait as they passed. Drake caught up with Mysha and offered her his hand. “This was an amazing day, Mysha. Amazing DAYS actually. Never thought I’d be a future ruler.” He said.
Shard watched as the humans and their dogs walked by and he got up, following after them with Ma’ait.

Mysha smiled a little. "And I never thought I'd survive the day I lost my kidney, let alone be saved by such a great man." She then took his hand in hers. "Future ruler who's gonna always have my back, and help me show others that not all dragons are evil." Then, she reached up a bit to kiss his cheek. "Thank you," she murmured "For everything." She then looked ahead as they reached outside again. Others were already there, a mass of fur, metal and bones turned toward the group as they cheered and yelled in approval.
