Mysha and Beta watched when Drake began to seize. As much as she wanted to help, it wasn't for her to do really. Beta wasn't even supposed to help her while she went through it. Sighing, she could only sit and wait for it to finish.

After a while, the process finished and Drake started gasping for air and clutched at his stomach, clearly in pain from the prices. “Ugh what was that....” he muttered.

Mysha was able to get up and go to slowly settle down beside Drake, making sure he was okay. "If we could see your stomach right now, we would see your brand." The process was finished, and she smiled slightly. "Now, we just wait to see when your new power will appear." And then, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that another model of a stomach had appeared at the paws of the statue, as the process always went so to be ready for the next person who might end up choosing an organ. Looking around, she said "I think we should see about heading back up to the surface?"

Drake leaned against his friend as she sat down to support him. He looked around at their surroundings. “Yeah, we should.” He said, grunting and getting to a position where he could stagger to his feet. “This was incredible.”
Shard was still beside Ma’ait, tail wrapped with hers and he licked her occasionally.

Mysha got up as well, though she looked a little pained as she did. Still, she was fine enough as she and Drake made their way back up, Beta following behind. Once they reached the surface, Ma'ait looked over curiously. She sniffed at the humans to make sure they were okay. More power radiated from both of them. "I don't know if I can handle another long trip anywhere right now," Mysha decided. "There's a small village we can go to, away from the main army. I think we will be fine there, even with dragons." She wasn't the only one of her people to feel sympathy for the great creatures.

Drake walked out with her help and he tried to help her too. As they emerged from the cave he smiled at the dragon’s and, though he noticed their close proximity, said nothing. At Mysha’s comment, Drake nodded. “That sounds great. I’m too exhausted to travel far.
Shard nodded in agreement to his rider. But he looked at Mysha and warbled softly. “I get why Mysha got stronger, but why Drake?”

Ma'ait shrugged her shoulders. "Every human has a sort of... genetic power upon birth, and its energy becomes prominent when they recieve a brand, according to Mysha. The organ they choose determine which ones appear, and how powerful. It's just a matter of what has been locked away." She then watched as her rider walked over to Zeta, whom the dragoness had actually forgotten about. The woman crouched, gently running her hand over the metallic head soothingly. Almost immediately did the gears start to turn, fingers twitching. He wouldn't be able to do anything like speak or move quickly until she finished the rest of his parts though. Mysha smiled gently as the glossy eyes turned toward her and the others, just studying them.

Shard nodded slowly and looked over as Mysha walked to Zeta and he watched, gently laying his head on Ma’ait, while Drake walked over and sat next to Mysha.

Mysha glanced at Drake, though looked back as Zeta blinked, a clicking noise accompanying his eyelids as they flicked. "He definitely needs the rest of his gears to be at a hundred percent, but he's fine for now." She would see about finishing him after everyone's had some rest. Not yet getting up though, she leaned on Drake a little as he sat beside her, head resting on his shoulder. "I'm just glad we're not all dead."

Drake smiled and nodded, gently wrapping his arms around her as they sat together. “Yes we are incredibly fortunate.” He murmured as he stayed close to Mysha, liking their proximity.

After some time of just sitting together, Mysha sighed and decided "Let's get going then. I want to be clear of this place." She could speak for all of them when she said that they probably didn't want to stick around for much longer. It was likely they would be bothered soon again at some point.

Drake watched as Mysha got up and he nodded as he got up. “Sounds good here.” He said, staggering over to his dragon while still grabbing lightly at his stomach.

Mysha and Beta headed over to Ma'ait, leaving Shard to carry Zeta again, the other automaton simply staying as he was obediently. Mysha patted Ma'ait, who reluctantly parted ways with Shard to allow her passengers to get on. And once everyone was ready to go, she took flight with a few sweeps of her wings.

Shard let out a sad warble when Ma’ait left him but he didn’t get too upset, knowing they’d be traveling together. He got to his paws, and Drake hopped aboard before Shard picked up Zeta with his tail and situated the automaton with Drake.

Once they were all in the air, Mysha instructed Ma'ait where to go. It was pretty dark, but not so much where a human couldn't see. As they were high in the air, you could see lights from fires going on seemingly endlessly everywhere but east. It wasn't forest fires, but village lighting, signaling that there were many, people out there. Mysha smiled slightly at the idea of home, but then frowned again before going where needed. The flight wasn't too long, but eventually Ma'ait was instructed to land. Some of the people there jumped and scrambled back, some startled screams causing more people to come looking. No one attacked though, but some people with the same armor as the attackers came out. They were just cautious though, which was a surprise considering there were two dragons.

Shard growled softly as the people with similar masks and armor started appearing. He stepped slightly in front of Ma’ait to protect her.

Mysha slid off of Ma'ait, Beta following just in case as she slowly approached the people. The one who seemed to be in charge, a man, straightened up while saying "Thought you were dead." Mysha smiled slightly, answering "Not yet, no." The man grunted, lowering his spear. He looked over at Drake and Shard suspiciously, but eased up when told they were friends. "We need a place to rest, then we will be out of your hair. Please." He looked unsure for a while, but eventually nodded, telling a few of the other soldiers to show them to where they could rest.

Drake slowly got off Shard, carrying Zeta with him as he followed after Mysha. Shard looked over at Ma’ait and leaned over, sneaking a lick in to her cheek when the humans weren’t looking. “Should we follow?” He asked.

Ma'air warbled softly, nuzzling Shard as Mysha glanced at Drake with a smile. "My uncle would never rat me out. We will be fine here." She nodded to the large man, who merely grunted and moved to go reassure the rest of the village who had been spectating. Following the soldiers, she motioned for the others to follow. They would be led to what looked like some sort of barn, save that it was was covered in markings that were warding spells perhaps, the large doorless entrance guarded by two dog statues. The soldiers stepped aside to let the group in. "Hide here. Leave when you are ready." Inside, it was a little dark, but you could see shapes moving around. Nothing dangerous though, as you heard a whinny and a cluck.

Shard smiled and rubbed his head on her neck a little as they walked behind the humans. Seeing the barn held nothing dangerous inside, he walked in behind Drake and Mysha. He looked around slowly, trying to find a spot big enough for he and Ma’ait.
Drake continued walking with Mysha and looked at the dog statues before walking in. “May I ask, why are these dogs everywhere?” He asked, quite curious.

Ma'ait immediately settled down when Shard found them a suitable spot, watching curiously as a rooster showed up. She snorted in amusement when he clucked, flapping his wings and pawing the ground. "Clearly he is in charge," Ma'ait giggled.
Mysha hummed as Drake asked about the dogs. "We are told that one of the first generations found out that the demons that plagued them seemed to hate dogs. One man made a stone dog to sit in front of his house to try and keep them away, but when demons came, unafraid of dogs, it just... started moving. Protected his livestock and family. Time went by, and they showed people visions of the idea of having brands. It took a few tries, but we eventually got the ceremony right, putting our trust in them to unlock our power and keep us safe."

Drake nodded slowly as he listened to Mysha’s explanation. “I see. Well that’ll explain it.” He said happily as he laid down in some hay, the best place they could sleep.
Shard flopped down next to Ma’ait and immediately wrapped His tail with hers. Seeing the rooster walk over to them and start clicking, Shard rolled his eyes. “He might be under normal circumstances. But not now.” He muttered.

"Sadly, they all are."Snapper replied."Why are you up here anyway?" Charles was relieve to see another human besides himself up here."What are you doing up here?" In unison, they replied to some various form, "We live here." They glanced at each other, smiled, and each continued. "This is a holy place, where a bond between dragon and rider is formed like nowhere else." The girl replied. "My parents sent me here to learn humility, and kinship with the humans. It's one of the last places on the world where we're treated not as beasts, but as equals, and even greater."

Drake continued to look around before walking towards the statue that had a lung at its paws. He knew that, while essential to life, he could survive if his lung was removed. Larkes nodded slowly to the blacksmith. “Yes please, that would be much appreciated.” The blacksmith lifted the undergarments for the armor, and let him throw those on first. Then, he glanced warily at Aldnoa before approaching, and placed the first piece, the chestplate, upon Larkes. 8 whole minutes it took, even with two sets of hands. However, when all said and done, Aldnoa had to admit- something primal within him was screaming terror at the sight. As if he were a young knight!

Mysha smiled slightly before finding her own hay pile to settle in, but not too far away from Drake. As she began to drift off, she noticed Beta simply sat down, clicking quieting down. He nor Zeta would sleep, instead watching over the four others. After watching Ma'ait snuggled into Shard, the annoyed rooster strutting off and thinking he had made his point, Mysha sighed in content before letting herself fall asleep, not to wake up until late next day.

Larkes helped as much he could, smiling as the armor was fitted on him. Once the process was done, he admired the handiwork and smiled happily. “This is amazing!” He said happily, glancing at Aldnoa.
Shard smiled as Ma’ait snuggled close and he draped a wing over her before carefully laying his head near her neck.

The blacksmith nodded. "Alright. The last thing I can give you is a 'good luck' and a point in the right direction." Aldno purred and smiled.

(Yeah :3)
Mysha didn't wake up until late next day. Tiredly opening her eyes, her hand reached to rub the sleep away, groaning softly. She didn't feel entirely better, but more so than last night. As she say up, that's when she noticed the man who greeted them last night, her uncle, just sitting nearby, studying her and Drake. Jumping a little, she grumbled groggily "What are you doing?" He tilted his head, mask of bone and metal hiding most of his expression. "Just looking. Word spreads quite fast, remember?"

Larkes smiled in appreciation as he nodded to the man. “Thank you sir. This is much appreciated.” He said, then looked around slowly. “But where is Baba? She said she’d come see us off or give us something or something like that.” He said, not wanting to disappoint the woman.
Drake was still asleep, snoring softly as Mysha and her uncle talked. But he slowly woke up and groaned as he opened his eyes, jolting a little at seeing the big man. “M-morning.” He groaned.
Shard was still curled close to Ma’ait, still asleep as the humans talked.

Mysha's uncle didn't do much in response to Drake. Looking around at the group, he said "Messengers have spread all across our land, to every village. They speak of a one-armed Bone Bearer, with her dragon and metal beasts, two demons of black flame at her side." Ma'ait pulled a face before looking away. "They think too much of it." Her uncle snorted, saying "Chief will be hunting you more now. Your existence threatens him now. You know this."
