Wisp laughed aloud and kept going, though it appeared she would lose. But she didn’t lose hope, and they were getting very close to the mountains. “It’s not over yet!” She said as she grinned.

They were nearly there, and Wisp gave a final push but didn’t have any more speed in her. She soon fell behind just before they landed. She huffed amusedly and laid down, out of breath. “Well, looks like you won, Storm!” She said happily.

They were nearly there, and Wisp gave a final push but didn’t have any more speed in her. She soon fell behind just before they landed. She huffed amusedly and laid down, out of breath. “Well, looks like you won, Storm!” She said happily. He painted as he landed. Putting a little drizzle so he could cool down.” Good race.” He said with a smile after he coughs his breath. |

The young female watched him try to cool himself off and she shimmied closer to him and smiled as she snuggled into him while they calmed down. “Good race, love.” She said to him as she leaned her head and nuzzled his neck affectionately.

Wisp nodded and smiled as she kept calming down, still taking deeper breaths. The air was much thinner than where they were and she needed to get accustomed. “Yeah, we made it.” She said happily as she twined their tails together and she trilled softly to him. She nuzzled his neck and side as they cuddled.

Wisp nodded and whimpered endearingly to her beloved as they continued to rub and snuggle. She sighed happily as she laid her head on her beloved’s neck and inhaled his scent. “Storm....” she whispered happily as she let out a few loving trills.

She was still taking deep breaths but slowly calmed down. “Would you... ever consider... being my mate?” She asked, wrapping her tail tighter around hers and nosing his neck while she let out calm, sweet trills. He didn’t think for one moment.” Of course!” He said overjoyed, he wanted that most in the world! His wings spread out and he could almost fly again.” I mean, yes, yes I would.” He said calming down. |

Wisp brightened up and her scales seemed to shimmer ever brighter, glowing almost. She forced her quite-potential mate onto his back and she slithered onto his belly and laying there, leaning so she was staring into his eyes and she trilled softly as she licked his muzzle and nose and mouth lightly. “Then, Storm the thunderstorm-controlling weather dragon, will you be my mate? My partner in life forever?” He asked as she rubbed her tail on him lightly.

Wisp’s eyes lit up and she trilled loudly, heart thumping loud in her chest. She nodded vigorously and covered her now-mate’s head and chin with licks. “Of course I will, Storm. I’ll stick by you forever and ever. I’m yours forever, love, and I’ll do whatever you desire. Wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do, I’ll always be with you.” She said happily as she buried her head in his powerful neck and upper body and she laid on him happily, pulling and trilling. She had found her mate, and he was a wonderful male.

She then rose up to look into his eyes and she smiled. “Now, my kind Don’t have a ritual or anything to show mateship, but does yours?” She’d heard of some species marking their mate’s with some kind of bite, scratch, etc. and just wanted to know if she should expect anything coming.

The young female watched as her mate recollected about things and she grinned. When she heard about the lightning she whimpered a little and nodded, a bit scared. But she would do it if it meant being able to be with her mate forever. “Of course, my love. Anything for you.” She replied, already becoming obedient to him like she believed a good female should. “Do you want to do it now?” She asked.

Wisp considered it for a moment, but shook her head. “No. I want to be sure I’m yours forever. We can do it whenever you want.” She replied as she wrapped her tail with his again and nuzzled him more and rubbed her paws on him to hopefully please him. She was a bit smaller than him, but not by much, and she was fairly light so she wasn’t squashing him while they laid together.

He smiled.” If your definitely sure.” He said as he shuffled so they could stand up. He looked her in the eye. As a huge cloud formed above him he gave her a reassuring smile.” Don’t worry.” He said as he held her down, he did not like doing it but he did it anyways to show his love. A lightning bolt struck from the cloud hitting wisp and leaving a small mark. He looked at her with a huge smile as he licked it. The cloud soon vanished and left nothing but rainbow mist. (Like this to be exact lol  ) |

Wisp braced herself for a lot of stinging as she was held down. She had to admit, she actually kinda liked the weight of her mate holding her down, but ignored it for the moment as she heard the storm cloud above. She expected lots of pain, unlike what her mate told her, but was pleasantly, and gratefully, surprised when there was no stinging or involuntary movements. She looked up when it was all over and smiled when she saw the mist-formed rainbow then giggled as her mate licked her left-side neck repeatedly. She relaxed visibly and just let him lick her. “Does it look good?” She asked, knowing she wouldn’t be able to see it where she felt her mate licking.

Wisp grinned as she collided with him and trilled softly with a bit of a laugh mixed in. “I wish, but that kind of move is special and sacred, so I can’t mimic it. Plus I couldn’t move and watch it so I couldn’t memorize it if I wanted to. I just wish you could sprout golden scales around your eyes or something, then it’d be obvious.” She said wth a giggle. “But it’s okay, maybe if we make it back to my homeland sometime my family will have some info on that sort of thing.” She said with a shrug. She once again melted into his belly, trilling as she was greeted with his softer belly scales and she tried to wrap everything she could around him so she knew she was with him. “My mate...” she purred happily.
