A while later, near sundown, Wisp awoke and slowly opened her eyes and sighed softly. She was still beside Storm, and loved that fact. She was quickly falling for her friend, and never wanted to leave his side.

Wisp grinned as the male cuddled close and she willingly let him be as close as he wanted. Wisp loved his thick, warm scent and the feeling of his scales on hers. “Don’t ever leave me, Storm... promise me you’ll never leave....” the female said, head in the clouds as she nestled into him.

He paused for a minute.“ I can’t promise that wisp...” he said with a sad look.” The place we are going is dangerous, and I can’t promise I wont disappear.” He said with a sad look.” But I’ll try my best.” He added with a small smile.

Wisp growled softly at the thought of her friend disappearing and she cuddled into him more and wrapped her tail around his to ensure she was still next to him. “You better try and not disappear!” She said. She didn’t want to lose him so soon after they realized their shared feelings and she whimpered. “Cause I don’t know what I’d do without you....” she whispered.

“I’m not exactly sure.” He started.” Maybe mountain and cave dragons, possibly another weather dragon, but the weather dragon is probably not going to happen, we are very rare.” He said with a nod.

Wisp nodded slowly as she listened to both his comments and his heartbeat, purring happily as she listened to his heart. “I see, well I’m glad I get to spend so much time with you. You’re wonderful, Storm. You might be a rare species but you’re one-of-a-kind in my heart.” She said, voice dripping with sappy romance. She nosed his best lightly and started licking her friend’s chest and neck to help clean his already brilliant scales.
