you know the one. that teacher/sub.
so I have a story that took place in first grade. I made a single pencil mark on my desk while I was putting it away. the teacher somehow saw it and was furious to the point of yelling at me in front of everyone. she then made me stay inside for a month during recess to clean all the desks from grime and gum.
in first grade. for a very erasable mark.

Hmm... Well it's not that crazy, but one time we had this elderly man as a sub for my social studies class, and I was zipping up my binder as he was speaking, because I had gotten a pencil, and he just froze and stared at me because the zipper made that noise it does. He just said "What are you trying to interrupt the entire class?" I just shook my head no. It was just a quiet 'zzzZZ' noise, chill xD

I had a sub that would make us stay in class until it was almost time for the buses to leave the school. It gave everyone a heartattack and we almost had to go to the office to get our parents to pick us up. My brother had a panic attack in the process, and as did my parents. We're a really close family, and if one of us is in distress, everyone feels that pain. In this case, everyone thought I was missing so they all panicked at the same time.
My family is 10+ classy, if you couldn't tell.

This one sub screamed at me for pda before when the bell already rang and school hours were over. Everyone was getting on the buses and hardly anyone else was in the halls. I hugged my boyfriend, and then was keeping us to scream at at us about pda while the buses were about to leave. We had to run to them, and I almost missed mine.
Another time, in kindergarten, I was playing with some toys because we had 20 minutes do so while the other half of the class had the teacher read a short book and the students answer questions, then we would switch. Well, while I was playing, someone besides me started talking, which was not allowed. The teacher spins around in her chair and yells at me for talking. I told her I didn't then looked down. I looked down, and she then proceeds to yell even louder not 'roll my eyes at her.' I then was made to stand in the corner with my back to everyone else for the rest of the play time, like 10 minutes, when I did absolutely nothing at all. I did not like her.

my AP US teacher was a huge bigot. like homophobic comments? absolutely. transphobic ones? you betcha. jokes about the mentally ill? yes. racism and stereotypes? all the time. he'd also single out a certain boy in the class for doing poorly. like ok i get it; Ryan probably should not have been in the AP history class, but there's no reason to make fun of him in front of everyone else. also he told Ryan he was gonna fail the AP exam in front of the entire class; that's something you tell a kid professionally in private bc you're worried about his grades and progress
also my tech teacher was awful. ok so i have an incurable jaw condition called TMD. sometimes it prevents me from being able to eat due to pain and the movement of my jaw. i have a doctor's note that says p much "hey if charlie can't eat at lunch due to jaw function, pain, etc let him eat in class please." i had to use the note one day bc there was nooooo way i could've eaten during lunch bc it was so bad. and she lost it. she yelled at me in front of everyone and how i'm faking it and kids w medical notes need to "get over it"

Mine aren't as bad as the ones you mentioned but I'll say two.
My art teacher:
So one day, I was in school and I was drawing while we should've been taking notes. Why? Because I'm nearsighted and couldn't see the board from any seat, but because of that I was forced to sit in the hallway. It may sound reasonable, but look at it this way: I was drawing in art class. Shouldn't really be a sin if you ask me. It was more like history than art because the most we learned was about HOW ART WAS INVENTED and stuff.
My gym teacher:
Gym in a nutshell-Walk for five minutes, run for five minutes, and repeat 6 times, then do exercises, then play a game for a whole year.
You couldn't sit out, you had to play.
Thankfully we switched electives and those new teachers were both amazing. One was one of those teachers who was really funny and had a great sense of humor
the other had us do some stuff on the computers, then play free rice (does anyone remember that?) then play whatever you want after donating enough rice.
It was much more fun than it sounded. It's a sad day when a non-art tracher let me draw more than my primary art teacher.

I remember in sixth grade my math teacher was awful. I moved schools so I came in like 1/4 through the school year so I missed a little bit right? Well my teacher expected that I would be caught up with everything?? And like math isn't my strong subject anyway so I was just barely scraping by. She always had these talks with me telling me I needed to work harder, but I wasn't understanding the material and she wasn't doing anything to help me understand it, just telling me I needed to do better >.>

Oh, boy. Oh, man. Get ready. Get ready for an outpour of repressed emotion.
In fourth grade, my school introduced a student-teaching program. Each teacher was assigned an assistant currently in schooling to become a teacher. They helped out in class, observed the teacher at work, and acted as a substitute whenever the teacher was absent. My math teacher's assistant happened to be Miss Miller. I'm better at flying than I am at math, so it's not like it was my favorite class anyway, but I'm convinced Miss Miller was determined to make it absolute hell. For me. Not for everyone else - she was perfectly nice to everyone else - but me? She hated me. Set me up to fail. To this day, I don't know why.
She'd talk down to me, all but calling me stupid. She'd roll her eyes when I asked questions. She'd refuse to give me the same supplies she handed out to everyone else, and then scold me in front of the entire class when I didn't have what I needed. She'd threaten to get me in trouble for things I very clearly didn't do. In one particular instance, we were testing, and the room was dead silent - you could hear a pin drop. There I was, minding my own business, doing my work. Suddenly: "Kara, stop talking!"
What. Excuse me? Did she do that? She did that. Naturally, I was angered. I threw my pencil onto the desk. "I wasn't talking!" Obviously I wasn't talking.
"She wasn't talking," vouched the boy sitting next to me. God bless him, he was so brave.
"You too," Umbridge irl snapped. "Or you're both going to the office."
I got her fired. I got Miss Miller kicked out of the student-teaching program. I made sure that the teacher was watching when she mistreated me and she was busted. To date, it's one of my greatest victories. Math sucked a little less thereafter.

My GCSE Physics teacher was actually awful. She copied from the textbook most of the time, spent most of her time out of the classroom fetching 'snacks', had the audacity to tell people off for chewing gum in class when she did it herself and told me off for sleeping in class when I was rubbing my eyes as they were sore. I neglected to mention that the whole class had to self-teach half the content for our mock exam and she failed to fully finish teaching one of the units for our actual real exam. We lodged a complaint against her to our other Science teachers and thankfully she's leaving so I don't have to see her ever again.
In middle school I was told off by my French teacher for not walking in a straight line out of assembly when literally nobody's ever been told off for that???
Had a sub in Spanish one time who refused to allow me to step out of class for a moment while I was having a panic attack. She told me I should have dealt with it during break.

I finished this easy assignment, and turned it in to the sub. She looked at it, and shoved it back into my hands, saying that I plagiarized it. The reason? Because apparently I can't "use vocabulary that kids my age don't use." The word I used was like "brew" or something, like that's not a complicated vocab word chill. The fact she accused me of plagiarism, then forced me to rewrite the assignment "in my own words" pissed me off so much ugh
not to mention she wouldn't stop talking when we were doing things like tests. Like I'm sorry, stop talking to me about rats and toilet lids in NYC pls. I'm so happy I'm out of middle school lol

I've had my fair share of witch-teachers, but here are the two worst:
Look, I was a good student. I occasionally was a little silly in class, but occasionally.. Overall I was very good, but I had a teacher in this music class when I was seven or eight and since she knew all the mothers of the other kids and she didn't know my mom she used me as the scapegoat for everything. And I mean everything. Another kid is being disruptive and I so much as look in their direction? Blame me. If I have to clear my throat? She punished me. If someone is trying to talk to me and I try to get them to stop? Punishment. Her punishment was sending you out of the classroom and into the hallway, and since this took place at a high school, people would walk past and just stare at me. I burst into tears several times. Once when she asked who our favorite band was and I said the Wiggles while everyone said The Jonas Brothers, she joined the class in on laughing at me. And afterwards she scolded me for crying when they all laughed. But here's the best part.. she got married and she went from being called Ms. Hannah to Mrs. Smith ( not her real names just using them for example ) and everybody caught on fast but me. And if I accidentally called her Ms. Hannah, you know what happened? Out in the hallway with me.
But I told my mom and she told the other moms and everybody left except for the kids of her closest friends. B-)
When I was 10, I was in a dance class with another ten year old and two 8 year olds. Well, when Grace ( a witchy girl ) pretended to sprain her ankle - I'm not kidding, she literally winked at me and stuck her tongue out when the teacher wasn't looking - and the teacher was like "oh poor baby here sit out the rest of class." Next time, when I actually twisted something, you know what she said without even looking to see my hurt? "Keep dancing, I won't stand for that."
Yeah, thanks. :/

Well, for three months I had this teacher who would go to the playground at the end of lunch and smoke for ~10 minutes, then arrive ~15 minutes late, and then he would proceed to download a presentation off the Internet, generally one he didn't understand, and teach us it. And then he made us do the same worksheet every lesson, and he would constantly say facts that were so obviously incorrect. He also set someone a 15-minute detention, and they couldn't make it because of a funeral, and therefore he set them an hour and a half detention the next day. I was also told by someone in the year below who had him that they saw him go on a NSFW site in the middle of a lesson. Needless to say, he was fired.

My communications professor got annoyed with me because I ask questions, and she said that if I ask anymore questions, she would kick me out of class... Like, how am I suppose to understand something if I don't ask questions? Everyone else in the class never wanted to ask any questions, so I asked for them. - My animal science professor told me that I was wrong and that "factory farms aren't real." That is when I changed my major from animal science to wildlife biology. Like, I'm a vegetarian and from a city, where most factory farms are, and I hate the way animals are treated there, and he pretty much told me that my opinions are wrong. Like, I get he's an agricultural teacher, and the school is in Texas, where most animals who are raised for food aren't raised in factory farms, but just because I don't have proof on-hand does not mean they don't exist.

Everyone called my science teacher a witch because she was really horrible - she banned us from experiments even though no one did anything wrong, she changed the slides so quickly it was hard to write and make notes for some people and she didn't even let us know her name so she told us to call her science teacher haha. She was generally not nice overall so we complained about her and some senior teachers came to watch the class then she started acting really nice? Also she walks like a slug and she told us it was fine if we didn't learn anything because she was only here for the pay check.
How has she not been fired yet lol

Oh speaking of teachers. My sophomore year of HS I had not one but TWO teachers quit during the middle/spring of the year.
My geometry teacher could never controlled the class and acted like... I don't know, like she wasn't fully aware of the what was going on around her. The kids in my class said that she was on drugs. To be fair the class that I had her in was pretty awful. But she never really tried to control the class or teach, and didn't pay attention to us, so we didn't learn anything anyway... She quit over the Christmas break and we didn't know until a few weeks after school started again, cause we asked the sub, "How long are you going to be here?" And they replied, "Well, permanently, your teacher quit."
My chem teacher that year was worse. He never showed up to class. Like. There would be weeks when he would just disappear. When he would come back to class, he'd give us reasons why he wasn't in class - His car broke down - He burned his arm trying to fix his broken car (he had the burn to prove it) - He fell down the stairs at school and went home with a concussion - Because he had a concussion, our principal forbid him from coming to school for two days. - Took a week off to visit his daughter
2 months into the school year he didn't know what we had learned (which was nothing) or any of our names (he didn't know how to pass out pur test scores bc of this). Most of the reasons he wasn't in class weren't his fault really. But his classes still held a grudge against him because he left no notes, sub instructions, never taught so we never learned, etc. if he left work it would be like a test over stuff we didn't know. It was bad... I was in his first period. All of my classmates get to the classroom one day and walk in to find the man unconscious on the floor behind his desk. We got the chem teacher next door who had been giving us work and also the nurse. We were sent to a comp lab with 4 substiutes. Later that day we found out he had gone into diabetic shock. We all felt so bad for him :( he was forced to resign after that, and we had a substitute for the rest of the school year (which was like a month).
Needless to say I failed both of those classes.

In 3rd grade, the intercom was on and I had to get up and throw something away. But suddenly, I felt the teacher yank me back violently by my collar and lifted me off the ground, holding by my collar still. Because I got up during the intercom, she yelled all up in my face. She did the same to this other kid, too, who was only merely whispering. She was a very abusive teacher, and months later she was fired, thank goodness.

In fourth grade, there was this teacher assistant, and I used to hate her. (She was nice sometimes, but most of the time, she was very nosy and cranky.) Once, I was looking for an assignment, and the cranky assistant decided to help me. She looked in my backpack, and we were almost finished looking when she decided to look in a place I had told her multiple times I had looked in. She unzipped the zipper, and four of my favorite books fell out. These books were all silent reading books that I had forgotten to give back to the school, but I had learned to love these books. I was so mad at the aide. I had to give the books back, and I gave my teachers the silent treatment for the rest of the day. I know it was my fault, but I did tell the teacher not to look there. -.-

One year in a math class, our teacher just stopped showing up to work with no warning. And so we had a string of subs for a while. Then they found someone to spend a couple of weeks with us and the guy would give us those worksheets where you do math to solve a riddle. Then he would sit in the back of the classroom asleep while we all just did whatever the heck we wanted.
Another year, we just didnt have an english teacher? Like day one, we had a sub lol. For the first 3 months of school, we just had sub after sub and watched movies the whole time. Then after that, they hired a woman that was pregnant. She was there for like two weeks. Then we went back to subs for two months and I just...
California's schooling system is so Bad.

ooooo have i got a story for you
in 5th grade our social studies teacher was... weird. one time i accidentally slammed my book and she yelled "YOUNG LADY! IF YOU DO THAT ONE MORE TIME I'LL SEND YOU STRAIGHT TO DENTENTION!!!!!!" and the whole class was like "????? she didnt do anything????" and later on in the year me and some friends thought "hey we should do a flash mob at the big pep rally at the end of the year! it'll be so fun!" and we got the rest of our class in on it, planned it out, asked the principal for permission and she said YES. so then we made the mistake of telling the social studies teacher... so she got mad at us and convinced the principal to not let us do the flash mob. THEN GUESS WHAT SHE DID A MONTH LATER??? she came the honor society meeting and said "hey guys listen to my BRILLIANT IDEA! Lets have a FLASH MOB at the big end-of-the-year pig roast! We can do it for your parents!" and she actually coordinated this and had us come in early in the morning for extra meetings n stuff and played this horrible michael jackson song for us to dance to. it was terrible this woman also took us on bathroom breaks every day when we got to her class and on those bathroom breaks, while we were waiting for everyone to get out, she made us do yoga. YOGA! and then other classes would walk by and stare at us while we did wall sits it was embarrassing

There was a terrible sub that I think I managed to get fired once Decided to explain this because I love telling this story. So back in 8th grade, there was this really mean substitute teacher for science and she looked like she just got thawed out of a glacier. Back then I liked to wear these little wolf ears I got from Great Wolf Lodge. I was talking to my friend at my table, when out of nowhere she just walks straight up to me and says "You know, it's hard to not get caught talking with those silly wolf ears of yours." That kind of pissed me off, so I just ignored her and continued talking to my friend. She then said "Did you hear me, young man?" and I just turned with a straight face and said "Yeah, but I don't listen to failures." She actually looked a little surprised before saying "That hurt." I just responded with "Oops, I almost cared." She went back to teaching the class, but she was also really mean to everyone else too. A few minutes into class, when I actually started doing schoolwork, I wasn't even doing anything when she told me to go stand out in the hallway. I was like "What the [CENSORED]? Why?" and all she said was "You know why." It's also worth mentioning I have anger issues, so I was just sitting there with my eyes closed breathing heavily through my nose. Then she decided it was smart to say "You don't scare me, you know." I responded with "I'm not trying to scare you, you stupid [CENSORED]". Then I just stormed out into the hallway even though some of my friends were telling me not to listen to her. Roughly ten more minutes later, I'm standing in the outside the classroom when a few of my friends just bolt out and run down the hallway, explaining to me briefly that they were "sick of her [CENSORED]". Right behind them the teacher was just yelling at them while I was cheering them on. Then it was the end of class, I went back inside to get my stuff, but then the teacher would not let me leave. "Get out of my way" was the only thing I could really think of to say. She refused, saying I can't leave because I didn't finish my work. SHE KICKED ME OUT, HOW COULD I HAVE FINISHED THE WORK? After the fifth time of being denied to go to my other class, I just got sick of it and shoved her into the door. At the end of the day we passed eachother in the hallway, her giving me a death glare, me smiling my rear off. Haven't seen her since.

This happened to my sister, but there was this math teacher she had in middle school that pretty much everyone hated. She was very strict, and would yell at you in front of everyone while class was still going on. She made quite a lot of kids cry, including my sister.
The biggest thing I remember is that she made this one girl, Hope, cry and sent her out in the hallway because she had missed the day before because her dog had died.

Luckily for me, I haven't had any really bad teachers or substitutes, although some either had a cranky or strange attitude.
There was an old sub back in elementary school named Mrs. Richards. No one liked her, not even my mom. But it's been so long, I don't remember what she did to make my mom mad.
My HS freshman English teacher wasn't that great either. It wasn't in my particular class, but he took this one girl's essay (Audrey's?) essay and beat her up over it in front of the class. That belongs in a private discussion, not a publicized trial. There was also a really funky rumor going around that I still don't know if it's true or not. Regardless, he left after that year.
