Also, side note. The book states that Deadfoot was still deputy when Crowfeather was a kit. When Crowfeather is born in FQ Mudclaw is already deputy. i always thought ashfoot was expecting crowfeather soemtime after deadfoot already died, so crowfeather never even knew his father.

On the contrary, I'd be annoyed if the stoats did kill any cat. Stoats are an absolute joke for cats to handle They may be able to kill rabbits, but rabbits are criminally dull witted and lack in any defense beyond kicking. That rats are dangerous to the cats has always struck me as being incredibly bizarre and not making much sense beyond the Rat Leader in Firestar's Quest(because he was clearly a special rat and out of the ordinary). People are overrating the ability of stoats. They're fearsome for their size, but that's not enough to face a cat head on.
Stoatnado is a serious threat, don't overestimate their power ... where they lack a kill count, they make up for in sheer intimidation

So since there are apparently multiple stoats and they fight an actually battle against them, does that mean the stoats are organized? Do they plan? Do they strategize? Does their leader waltz into WindClan declaring the territory is theirs now?! Because that would be cool. Am I the only one who has trouble taking the stoats seriously? I know, I know ... they’re ferocious lil things ... but I can’t help imagining it like an army of bunny rabbits going after WindClan. :-P OH NOOOOO, THE HORROR!!! :’D That just made me think of Watership Down. XD General Woundwort would make minced meat of WindClan xD

Concerning the stoats, I'm more disappointed. They should have at least done more severe damage. Cats can hunt rats, but rats are known for killing cats in the books, and even doing some nasty damage. Stoats, especially in packs and against WindClan cats, should have least taken one or two casualties. Whether during battle or later from infected wounds, etc. They were a good opprotunity and the Erins didn't use them to their full potential, like they did with several problems in the clans had to face in the books.

How the heck are these people always "getting the flipping book early" I usually call Barnes and Noble a few days early. This time I didn’t doubt they’d get it in because 1) the book comes out immediately after a holiday; they have to get mail in before that in order to get the book out on time and 2) that holiday is on a Monday, so the book would have to e delivered on Saturday at the latest. That being said, B&N got them in on Friday, so even earlier I guess. I just finished the book and I actually enjoyed it. Granted, I don’t care for a Breezepelt redemption in the slightest, but I did enjoy the book and Crowfeathers scenes with Leafpool. Actually one of my more preferred super editions which, honestly, I’m surprised by.
