Before you is a long journey, beyond the clans in unclaimed territory where dangers seem to lurk around each bend. A path that each paw must walk before they are to be given their warrior name. Those who cannot or who refuse to walk the path may be delayed in being given their warrior name though it oft depends upon the leaders themselves. However it is frowned upon for any paw to be elevated from apprentice to full warrior without this sacred pilgrimage that takes three sunrises to walk to and back from. Three days of not having to patrol borders, hunt, or take care of elders might sound pleasant but once the journey has begun surely one would feel like all of that was better than this journey. A journey which the leader takes apprentices on alongside a senior warrior, for the clan cannot be without its leader and deputy both for so long a period of time.
At the end of the journey there is a great big cliff face that seems impossible for any cat or other creature to climb. So high up that it overlooks all of the clans territories though no cat has ever found their way to the top. There's no place to get a foot hold beyond the first several feet and even that is dangerous to get back down from and one can so easily fall and injure themselves, or worse prove fatal.
Yet it is here that an apprentice wanting to be a full warrior must go. Where too each new leader must go if they are to be given their nine lives from StarClan. For here there is a grotto with a small entrance that only those who are cat sized can fit through and inside its much larger. Where glow worms light up the insides. Lucky for the cats that the entrance to the cozy cave is too low for most, or any bats for that matter to navigate. There are seven tunnels. Each tunnel is marked by a different colored shiny pebble chosen moon upon moon upon moon ago by the founders of each clan. BoulderClan has a dull round dark gray rock to mark the way. BreezeClan has a pale green stone to mark the way. EvergreenClan has a deep green pebble to mark the path. LakeClan has a blue rock to guide the way. MeadowClan has a white round stone to show the way. ShadeClan has a smooth black pebble to guide their path. TorClan has a flat gray rock to show the way. Each tunnel leads to the same place. Yet there is an eighth tunnel on a higher ledge where seven small almost white river stones have been placed in the shape of a seven sided star. This eighth tunnel is the one that leads to the Moon Pebbles.
Light shines down through a large gap in the ceiling of the cave system and reflects off of the water. There is few areas where one wont get their feet wet, though its less than an inch of water that is everywhere in this area. There are however seven long flat rocks surrounding a singular white rock that looks a bit like the moon itself. Where it has tiny dips there is water that collects there. It is this the medicine cats, their apprentices, and even leaders touch their noses to when trying to contact StarClan while they rest upon one of the seven long flat rocks that circle the Moon Rock. Which the cats might not know is a true rock that fell from out of the sky so long ago there are none left to remember, going so far back to perhaps before cats ever came to be a part of the world.
It is due to the mist created by the warm rocks and the cool waters and the under ground hot springs that the cave got its name as the Cave of Mist and Moon.
When a leader needs answers. When a leader has died and their deputy needs to meet StarClan for their nine lives. When medicine cats meet at the Half Moon. That is when one can roleplay here. Of course one can also roleplay other scenarios with there characters not being a part of that although why they'd be here is anyones guess especially as it takes so long. And one cannot eat during the journey there - though they can on the way back to their clans territory.
