Lionsplash nodded good-naturedly. He liked to be helpful and get along with everyone, and it seemed like Honeyblossom was often on her own. "It would." He meowed with a cheerful purr. The large tom trotted to look for more pebbles, his crooked tail swishing as his eyes trained on the ground. <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.6999999999999886" style="position: absolute; width: 19.120000000000005px; height: 3.6999999999999886px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_16514429" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.6999999999999886" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.7px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 900px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_59712511" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.6999999999999886" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.7px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 125px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_10218267" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.6999999999999886" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.7px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 900px; top: 125px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82660982" scrolling="no"></iframe> {{ is it okay that I mentioned the Leaf-Pool plot? I literally couldn't think of anything for her to talk about so besides this but I can change it if you don't want that plot to get mentioned until later }} Even though Honeyblossom had agreed to the interaction, she quickly began to regret it when she realised she didn't have very much to talk about, and she was overly aware of the possibility of awkward silence. Think, Honeyblossom! she urged herself, rapidly swiping up pebbles along the side of camp, what is a good conversation starter? I don't know any gossip, or anything interesting... In the end, she decided the best way to start a conversation was controversy. "So, have you ever been to the Leaf-Pool?" Honeyblossom asked, forcing casualness, "I heard that it might be a good addition to StoneClan territory."

(I'll go ahead and post a starter x) ) Gemeyes sat on a rock in camp, holding himself tall as he thought over Redstar's plan to hunt the eagle to help the clan with the prey shortage. He was intrigued by the idea, but he couldn't help feeling bitter that he didn't get a chance to suggest his own idea to help the clan. More than either of those things, however, he still couldn't help the excitement that he was going to be a father. It was rather difficult to keep it to himself, but he enjoyed the secrecy of it all anyhow.

(That's totally cool to bring up the Leaf-Pool plot! I have it unactivated for the moment until they see a chance to claim it, but they can definitely still talk about it in the meantime.)
Lionsplash looked up, and almost forgot what the Leaf-Pool was to begin with until he remembered it was the much-envied part of Mapleclan's territory. Compared to the rocky territory that Stoneclan had, the Leaf-Pool would be very helpful to the clan for prey and water. Especially since Mapleclan had so much bountiful territory to begin with. "Oh, yeah! I mean, I've seen it. Looks really nice. I bet it looks even better in the moonlight." He gushed.

{{ Cool beans!! }}
Honeyblossom paused in her pebble -sweeping to glance back at Lionsplash, feeling a bit off-put by his response. She hadn't expected a reply about the scenery -rather, an opinion, so she could easily continue the conversation. I guess this is what I get for never getting to know him,. she reasoned, before responding, "It does look nice -I like the trees there. Sometimes it's nice to look a trees that aren't pine trees every once and a while," she meowed. As much as she loved her home, the pine trees were sometimes a bit dull -quite unlike the annoying pine nettles they dropped, which Honeyblossom never failed to stab herself with. The leafy, green trees around the Leaf Pool were beautiful and decidedly less prickly. "I'm sure that they would look nice with moonlight, too." she added, just so he'd feel that she was taking his whole comment into account.

Lionsplash nodded fondly, recalling the sight of the pool when traveling to gatherings. "It has prey too, it's a shame Mapleclan has so much prey-rich territory over Ravenclan and Stoneclan. I can see why Ravenclan wants it so bad, you know?" He meowed.

In Honeyblossom's opinion, it seemed like MapleClan defiently got the best territory out of all four Clans -while each territory was beautiful and interesting in their own rights, it was only MapleClan that had prey, protection, water and was within distance of the gathering place. "If I had to eat frogs all the time, I would want it too." Honeyblossom answered, thinking of how marshy and, in Honeyblossom's opinion, gross RavenClan's territory was. With so many swamps and streams, it was a wonder that Clan was full of cats instead of fish. "Do you think that RavenClan should get it?" she asked -she always felt a little bit sad for the RavenClan cats, what, with their diet of disgusting frogs. it felt fair that they should get a piece of nice land for once -although, she wouldn't complain of StoneClan got ahold of it, either.

Lionsplash paused for a moment - he didn't think about clan politics that much, but he was never that smart of a tom. "Well, it's only fair that Ravenclan gets it. But I know that Pinestar had his eye on claiming it for Stoneclan, and Redstar has talked about it too, and it would be pretty nice to have it for ourselves..." He meowed thoughtfully, sweeping some stones toward the pile with his crooked tail.

"Well...if it were ours, maybe you could go see what it looks like with the, uh, moonlight?" Honeyblossom suggested, trying to envision what the pretty spot would look like in the dark. She had rarely ever gone out during the night, unless she was standing guard for the night, so she had a very limited idea of what moonlight on water might look like, but if Lionsplash thought it would be pretty, she was sure it would be. She said the next part slowly and carefully, as she thought it out -worried that Lionsplash may tell MapleClan cats of her feelings at the next gathering. "I don't think it's fair that MapleClan has the Leaf-Pool. They have so much prey in their territory...but we're over here with our prey scared off by the drought."

Lionsplash, ever the obliging and easy-to-convince tom, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's what I think. I mean, Poplarwhisker is expecting kits soon, and it seems like we're lucky if we even get the clan's mouths fed as it is let alone with more clanmates on the way." He meowed. "I don't want kits to go hungry..."

( ✨ nissabug ✨ I'm gonna send Redstar and Rabbitpaw back to camp. x) ) Redstar lead the way back to camp after their battle training, feeling sufficiently out of new move ideas for the day, and feeling like Rabbitpaw was well on her way to having them down in her memory. At a distance, he thought he saw the large gray form of Raggedfur, and he let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. "Good work today, Rabbitpaw." He meowed.

Honeyblossom had forgotten about Poplarwhisker -the price of never visiting the nursery, or paying attention to her clanmates, she supposed. But now that she heard it, the question of territory felt more unfair -she was sure that MapleClan had a full fresh kill pile with pounds of food to spare, with or without the Leaf Pool. "I don't want kits to go hungry, either." Honeyblossom agreed, as she pushed the pebble-pile more closely together with her paws, "Maybe -it's a good thing that Redstar wants the Leaf -Pool."

Lionsplash nodded, and then his ears flushed pink as he added, "But I've never been very good with... Keeping up with clan conflicts and things." He admitted, looking down at his paws. "I'm a good worker, not so much a good thinker."

Honeyblossom jolted in horror when she heard Lionsplash's next words -that sounded like he was confiding in her! She was not at all prepared to deal with possibly emotional or embarrassing topics, and stared wide -eyed at her rocks for a few seconds as she quickly ran it all through her head and listed possible responses. We don't want to offend him, so no laughing or smiling or making 'hmph' noises, but we can't be smug so don't mention your own knowingness, but don't want to be too obvious so maybe mention it a little and -she finally answered with, "Uh, well, you know, no cat will think any less of you just because you...can't remember the gossip between Clans..." she bumbled along the sentence, swinging her head away from the embarrassed tom so he wouldn't see her own flustered expression. "I think it's impressive that you're a great warrior." She was aware of how badly she said it, and busied herself with rapidly sweeping up rocks and pebbles, knocking down her pile in the process.

(Honeyblossom is such a mood, I love her.)
Lionsplash, not particularly noticing Honeyblossom's nervousness over replying, gave a warm smile at her response, the simple tom having his worries calmed quite easily. "Well, thank you!" He meowed. "I do my best, and that's all that matters, I suppose." He purred.

Thank StarClan. Honeyblossom thought gratefully as she listened to Lionsplash's purr. If he were any other cat, I'm sure he would've laughed me out of camp. Without having to worry -as much -about being ridiculed, she began to sweep back up her knocked over pebble pile, noting how far some of the pebbles had rolled as she walked a bit closer to Lionsplash to pick an escaped pebble back up. "Yep, that's right," Honeyblossom assured him, a little bit lamely, and added, "Besides, being a good warrior is very important, when, ya know, there's no prey around." She glanced at the nearly empty fresh kill pile, now aware that her ending sentence could've turned the conversation a tad bit depressing. She hoped that Lionsplash's seemingly good mood would fix that.

Lionsplash nodded, his gaze turning toward the fresh kill pile for a moment. "I bet you are a great warrior too! I mean, you have good ideas and all." He meowed, pointing his nose toward the pile of pebbles she was collecting before helping her move a few of the remaining scattered ones into the collection by nudging them over with his broad snout.

{{ wpmaetpom i forgot to respond are you okay with Honeysplash having a crush on Lionsplash? I think she would be head over heels in love after getting 1 compliment. }}
"Oh! Thank you!" Honeyblossom allowed herself to beam, especially after she stopped herself from adding 'you too,', which would've been both redundant and embarrassing. She was sorry that she had never spoken to Lionsplash in the previous seventeen moons she had spent in StoneClan -the tom was nice, and friendly, and humble, and she was surprised that he was actually tolerating her bumbling presence. She realized that she had allowed an overly long lull in conversation and quickly added, "But picking up pebbles isn't that revolutionary. I just like tidy places; I always have." She laughed shortly, scooping up a pebble and placing it at the top of the pebble pile. It wobbled, but it didn't fall, and she made a note to not add any more to the top.

(Yeah, that's fine by me! Haha, Honeyblossom is such a mood.) Lionsplash sat down, forgetting he had been helping her in his participation in the conversation. "Sure, but I don't see any other cats taking the time to do that." He purred. Granted, his memory was not very good, but he was sincere in his continued compliment anyway.
