{{ aw Aspenbreeze is so nice }}
Honeyblosossom, after the initial surprise of being called out so quickly, perked up as soon as Aspenbreeze suggested hunting, although her ears still burned with embarrassment. "I would love to hunt!" she agreed. She was pleased that the opportunity to work has arisen so fast; she had been worried she would have to go hunt by herself, which she hated to do. "Maybe we should go hunt around the pines? There might be some squirrels around there." she suggested.

I can see these two being friends ^^ ))
Aspenbreeze smiled, lifting herself up onto her paws. With a quick stretch and lick to her chest fur, she was ready. "Great!" the pale warrior responded. "Squirrels sound like fun, lead the way." Following her clanmate, she parted her mouth and tried to scent the air. Aspenbreeze wasn't the best at tracking, she'd admit, but was at least an average hunter. As long as she stayed downwind, she often spotted her prey before it noticed her. Squirrels were fast, but a challenge was always fun.

{{ I agree }}
Honeyblossom was perfectly content to lead the way; she liked to take any chance to show what a good warrior she was, especially after she did something silly, like sleeping in way after the other warriors. She felt this was a way to 'redeem' herself; even if she was the only cat to notice it. It didn't take long to get to the pine forest area, and Honeyblossom copied Aspenbreeze, scenting the air and searching for squirrels, until she spotted one a few fox lengths away, making its slow way down a pine tree. While hunting squirrels was fine, it was very difficult; so Honeyblossom carefully tapped Aspenbreeze with her tail, pointing at the squirrel. "Should we catch it?" she asked, knowing full-way the answer was yes, but asking just in case.

Aspenbreeze had spotted the squirrel just a few heartbeats after Honeyblossom, the tail tap on her shoulder bringing it to her attention. Tilting her head to gauge the distance, and how close the squirrel was to the tree, the warrior hummed in thought. "Definitely." She responded, her grey eyes narrowing into slits. Seeing how it was close to the trees, she wondered if they could trap it. Thinking quietly, Aspenbreeze came up with a plan, albeit would wait for Honeyblossom's opinion before starting. "How about one of us lays in weight somewhere over there," The pale shecat said, pointing with her tail downwind. "And the other chases it towards them? That way it doesn't outrun us."

Honeyblossom nodded,and, after a pause, whispered, "Good idea. I'll go over there; you can chase it." She figured that if Aspenbreeze could catch a rabbit -something that Honeyblossom had always been too slow to catch -than she could totally catch a squirrel. Suddenly feeling a bit concerned that Aspenbreeze would be annoyed with her control grab, she slunk away with waiting for a verbal response, and concealed herself where Aspenbreeze had gestured.

Aspenbreeze dipped her chin in a nod and patiently waited for Honeyblossom to get into position. She hadn't mentioned that earlier this morning, she had cornered the hare in order to catch it; she was fast, but not that fast. She relied on tactics, like the one they had set in motion, to catch wiley prey. Crouching, Aspenbreeze snuck up on the squirrel, her stomach skimming the forest floor underneath her. She'd gotten a cat length away when the wind changed directions and the forest creature noticed her. Launching forwards, the brown pointed warrior did her best to herd it in Honeyblossom's direction; her wide-splayed paws thrumming against the ground. She neared its tail, but the squirrel was just out of reach. They were getting closer and closer to Honeyblossom, so Aspenbreeze held back and focussed on angling the squirrel towards her clanmate's paws. Teamwork! She thought to herself as a smile brindled on her white muzzle.

As soon as the squirrel veered near enough, Honeyblossom burst into action, lunging wildly towards it and grabbing it by the tail as the little creature attempted to turn away once again. She pulled it back, quickly lunging again to grab it by the throat, and killing it with a fast bite to the neck. She pulled away with a flush of pride, putting the squirrel down when she felt a dribble of blood falling down its neck. It hadn't been a clean kill, but it was better than nothing. She figured she should speak to Aspenbreeze before the silence got weird, so she dropped it at her paws and smiled at her. "Good chase!" she complimented, and, deciding to continue the conversation, added "I'm glad we got some prey. I've been seeing less and less of it since the drought and stuff."

Aspenbreeze slowed to a stop, her dark brown hind legs kicking up a faint cloud of dust. Panting, the pale coloured warrior's sides slowed as she caught her breath. Satisfied with their course of action, the she-cat blinked happily towards her clanmate. "Thanks! Nice catch," Aspenbreeze responded, her dark brown masked face crinkling as she parted her mouth to scent once again.
"I know, I was lucky to find that hare earlier. Mostly my only luck is dehydrated and malnourished mice and rodents. This squirrel was a lucky find!" The warrior responded, licking the lips of her white spotted muzzle as a parched feeling crept into her throat. Looking around, she tried to see if any other prey animals were out and about. Hopefully, they weren't pushing their luck.

Leafheart purred in joy at his response, equal parts elated and relieved that he had taken to the news well. She wasn't sure what she would have done if he had rejected them. "They will be." She agreed, pressing close to him. "I don't know how many yet, it's too early I think. But they're going to be beautiful!" It occurred to Gemeyes that he wouldn't be able to tell anyone about his kits, in neither clans. It would be difficult to keep the secret between the two of them, already feeling proud in the unborn kits. He affectionately groomed her soft tortoiseshell fur. "Of course they will. They'll take after the both of us." He purred between licks, and he gave her a wink. He paused, unable to help his curiosity. "And no one in Breezeclan knows?" ~Skyblaze~

Pebblesprout wasn't used to someone complimenting his efforts. He grinned bashfully, fur burning with embarrassing. "Oh, uh, well, thanks, heh," he flushed, feeling appreciated for one. Wait, what was he doing? Loudsong didn't even know him! AND she was Breezeclan blood! He knew he had stop the goofy display or else he'd make Stoneclan look like fools. He cleared his throat, shaking out his tabby pelt. "Stoneclan prides itself in having both strong hunters and fighters," he meowed, trying to talk matter-of-factly. It didn't feel right, but he knew it was expected of him to keep up a strong appearance for his clan. Loudsong liked the way he looked when he was taking a compliment, and her eyes narrowed happily. She laughed warmly. "I'll bet it does! Living in the rocks by the mountains, finding prey hidden in crevices... It must be exciting! And the mountains look so beautiful, that must be quite a view you have next to them." "Uh..yeah," Pebblefrost smiled, enjoying the she-cat's never-ending enthusiasm. It was such a breath of fresh air after most of his clanmates were so serious and stoic. He never felt at-home within his own clan because of this. But Loudsong...seemed to be the only cat who understood his longing for positivity. "Especially in the morning. When sunrise peaks just barely over the mountaintops, and the sunlight makes the river sparkle..." Pebblefrost gushed, lost in his own fantasies for a moment.

Loudsong’s eyes lit up just picturing it. From Breezeclan’s angle toward the mountains, she never got to see anything quite like that. “Wow! That must be amazing.” She gushed in return, a loud purr rumbling in her throat. “You know, I-“ She began to meow, but the patrol she was with lost their patience and called for her. She felt her face heat with embarrassment as she gave a loud mrrow of laughter when she realized she got completely distracted talking to the Stoneclan tom. She was quite fond of him already, though. “I have to go. It was nice talking to you,” She meowed, waving her tail as she padded toward her patrol before lumbering to join them, looking positively elated. Onepaw watched the she-cat leave as he padded back to his mentor with a fish in his mouth, noticing with a blink and a twitch of his whiskers that Pebblesprout had “dealt with” the Breezeclan warrior in quite a friendly manner.

Hopefully, they weren't pushing their luck. Honeyblossom, too, shared Aspenbreeze's thoughts -she knew that the drought and landslides were causing difficulty with prey, but she never mentioned it, in case her clanmates thought she was a downer. Aspenbreeze didn't seem to mind, however, and Honeyblossom was glad that she didn't seem to be bothering her possibly possible -friend. "I've had that same problem!" she meowed, thinking of the constant hunting trips that brought back only practical husks of what once could've been food, "I hope we see something else -StoneClan has so many cats to feed."She set about digging a hole to rest the squirrel in, trusting that Aspenbreeze would find the next piece of prey.

Sagepaw ;; { 👻videocassette👻 - stoneclan territory }
Sagepaw's green gaze drifted back to her mentor and her ears pricked. She felt a little jab of anxiety, realizing she would have to hunt in front of her mentor. It wasn't that she was a bad hunter; it was because Raggedfur's tough judgement. Though the apprentice obliged with a nod, glancing over her shoulder at the others before following after the senior warrior. Sagepaw began scenting the air immediately, ready to get this over with.

Pebblesprout smiled as he waved his own goodbyes and watched her bound away with the other Breezeclan cats. Something about her made his heart sing and made him feel...weightless. He was so caught up in his sweet ponderings he almost didn't notice Onepaw beside him, until he felt something scaly brush his paws. "Wah! O-oh.." he flinched, lifting his paw. Looking down at his apprentice and his catch, he grinned. "Wow, what a catch! And for your first try, too."

Raggedfur lifted her flattened nose toward the air, scenting for prey, although she wouldn't mention anything she smelled, or go after it. She was leaving anything they found for Sagepaw to find, if the apprentice knew what she was doing. As they padded along, she picked up a scent she hadn't smelled in what felt like moons - squirrel. It must have crossed over from Mapleclan territory. Her ears twitched as she expected her apprentice to notice it too, soon.

Onepaw nodded, scrutinizing Pebblesprout and his distractedness for a moment before shrugging it off. His mentor was just odd. He couldn't hold that against him. His catch wasn't necessarily his first try, but he took to praise with his head held high. "Yeah! You know, fishing isn't too bad! And if it fills more bellies, it's worth the effort." He meowed, trying to sound like the warriors he overheard in conversation.

( lol, i meant to word that differently, Pebblesprout meant his "first catch" not "first try" lolol )
Pebblesprout gleamed for his apprentice. The young tom was definitely growing into something worthwhile. He reminded him of his late father Flashclaw--full of ambition, yet always looking out for his fellow cat. "You know you sound just like your father?" he purred with amusement, whiskers twitching. "Putting others before yourself. That's the sign of a true warrior."

(Ohhhh, that makes more sense xD)
Onepaw felt his heart swell with pride, having wanting to hear those words as much as possible since he could walk. Flashclaw was remembered for his courage for the clan, and he wanted to be just as remembered. "You think so?" He mewed hopefully, feeling as though he could do anything if he was anything like the tom he took after.

"I know so," Pebblesprout smiled, batting his apprentice playfully over the head. "Just dont get an inflated head." He laughed, rising to his paws and grabbing his own catch from earlier. He made one final glance over the river at the distant patrol before turning tail. "Let's head more towards the pine trees." The grey tabby smiled as he thought of that she-cat from earlier: she was massive, but her size (oddly enough) made her seem more graceful and youthful. And her spirit was so bright and happy! Pebblesprout couldn't help but smile even just thinking about the way her personality shone like the sun.

Onepaw nodded, picking up his own fish and meowing through the scaly prey his teeth were sunk into, "What are we gonna do over there?" "Squirrels," Pebblesprout simply responded, licking his chops. He knew the bushy-tailed rodents usually made home in the oaken trees on Mapleclan territory, but it wasn't uncommon to find a few migrated to the pine trees scattered about. "Quick warrior tip, Onepaw: it's a bit of an unspoken rule that any cat out hunting checks the pines before they wrap up their patrol. No matter how much they caught or if they already came here. Prey gets scarce when you live in a rockpile."

The tabby followed Onepaw to a stretch of pine trees, the scent of crisp pine needles flooding his senses. He inhaled deeply and sighed, finding the aroma rather invigorating. What great land Stoneclan had! "Now Onepaw, it's time to pay attention," he instructed the excited apprentice. He appreciated the tom's enthusiasm, but if he was going to be a competent hunter, he had to settle down and focus. "Because of the strong smell these pine trees produce, it may prove difficult to find any prey-scent. They're kinda smart like that." He chuckled. "The only thing you can really do to remedy this is just focus really intensely on all the smells, and mentally sort them to find the prey-scent."
