Sharppaw is turning out to not be the apprentice Flameflash had hoped for. The tabby forgets the uses for herbs often and has nearly given Stardust too many poppy seeds for a headache he had been having.

Flameflash is still an attentive mentor but he can't help but wonder if perhaps one of Sharppaw's siblings was better suited. Sharppaw is a little disheartened when he notices his disappointment. It makes him feel even worse when he is told to take herbs to Jadestar only for the leader to lose another life shortly after eating them. At first he thought that he gave him the wrong herbs but Flameflash tries to reassure him that that was nothing they could have done to cure his illness.

To Flameflash’s chagrin, Sharppaw’s remaining siblings from both Honeycomb and Cloudshine’s litters seem more than happy with their warrior duties. Adderpaw noticeably hisses at the medicine cat when he attempts to speak with her when she’s scarfing down a shrew. He is also not unaware of the harsh glare that Sunrise throws his way later that day, as if looks could kill.

Featherstar is concerned as Flameflash could just die quickly as his older siblings did from that odd stomach disease. Something that Flameflash had considered to be an issue running in the family that he could catch. Jadestar only hadn’t followed Rubyfeather and Opalflame immediately as the former leader still had extra lives.

Sharppaw is tired of not being taken seriously by his mentor. He is much closer to his siblings and tells them everything instead. When Adderpaw says she had a dream with a flower with petals falling off, she lets Sharppaw say that he dreamed it instead, getting Flameflash's attention. The medicine cat apprentice was bothered that he had to lie to convince his mentor, but it was the first real praise he had gotten since he started his training.

MintClan requests help from their neighbors, struggling with a bad greencough outbreak. Ever foolhardy and perhaps encouraged by his kittypet background, Bravescar investigates the twoleg site closer than instructed. He finds that they have brought massive monsters with long necks and that, although they called out to him, they did not seem eager to capture him. He was about to investigate more when a deafening sound startled him and he saw one twoleg take a strange tool to cut a tree down in minutes. He ran back to camp when he saw the tree fall and, although he got an earful for not obeying orders, Featherstar and Stonesong decided it would be best to call a meeting with the other leaders so that they could see what was happening for themselves.

The leaders themselves are conflicted by this news. HollyClan’s leader also reporting a similar event on their own territory while MintClan’s leader seems the most unbothered by the Twoleg ruckus. Outside of some of their trampling scaring fish from the border.

I’ll keep what has occurred but just letting you know for future reference.) Sparrowcall, Mistlewing, Mooncloud, Addergaze, and Sharppaw are all distraught by the sudden deaths of their mothers, Sunrise is not taking the deaths of either of her mates well but is attempting a strong front to assist her kits in their grief, especially Sharppaw, who blames himself.. Spiderfoot, the surrogate father to both litters is not taking the deaths of his former fellow loners very well. In every post, you must have an "event" involving births, deaths, Clan joiners, Clan leavers, and otherwise. Up to five cats can be killed in a post (this way the whole Clan can't be wiped out) and up to five cats can join/be born into the clan in a post. (However, it can only be one or the other. Then change the Allegiances to fit the changes. |

The lack of prey has resulted in Featherstar and the elders dying from malnutrition. Waterblossom and some of the other warriors have also begun to weaken and Sharpgorse is feeling the stress of being the sole medicine cat. The clans have also begun entering a series of territory battles but soon discover that it was no use - everyone was suffering from the same famine.
