[[ leobloise better late than never]] Viola had waited decades for this moment. Literally, decades. She, like many vampires of a certain age, had acquired through the centuries a taste for particular blood. Her’s wasn’t particularly unusual -- she prefered women, either virgins or women in the first few weeks of pregnancy with either A or O, or AB positive blood grouping (but not B on it’s own). And they had to be rich in iron, with a low white blood count and an average platelet count. It might sound specific, but Viola was an expert hunter -- knowing when and how to make kills so no one would suspect. Yet, it wasn’t what she wanted that was the problem it was how she wanted it. One of the things that separated humans from general livestock animals was that pigs and cows would eat slop -- food all mashed together and mucky, that was so disgusting it looked like it was the same substance that went in and went out of their bodies. Yet, humans, liked style -- finesse -- with their food. They had whole countries and crafts -- patissering and chocolatiering, to make food look good rather than taste good. It was like what Viola had about her hunts. She liked her hunts to be specific -- to have a certain order to them. She liked to seduce her kill. Problem was, she didn’t like to sleep with women. I mean, she’d done it, after five hundred years who hasn’t? But it normally didn’t do much for her. So she’d found a little someone who was a nice combination between masculinity and femininity -- a hybrid child, so to speak. They used to be left out in the cold to die until recently, but this one had been kept alive and raised into a man. He was eighteen now. So, for his birthday, Viola had rescued him from the damp little village in Canada he’d lived in and brought him to Brazil where he’d been taught the adult arts and at that moment she had bedded him -- quite a few times at that. A few injections and inseminations or so later and he was ready -- at last, finally, his blood would be hers. The location of her feast was not a hard decision to make. There was this club, in Curitiba, called ‘Under the sea’ and ran by a siren she knew from a few decades back. The club wasn’t literally under the sea, but it was under the radar of local law. Yet, drug deals and contract killings weren’t all that went on in the club. There were quite a few supernaturals here too. The werewolves stayed away, but there were some vampires. The eldest of which was just under 200. A baby. They knew she was here, of course, but didn’t dare speak to her. That little undercurrent of fear she felt from all of them only heightened her happiness. This would be an evening to remember. There she was, sitting on a stool by the bar, the dubstep music blaring ever so loud and lights flashing like a thunderstorm. Junkies were snorting their powder, a few poor souls were getting beaten up, one or two were getting drank -- Viola didn’t care. She looked into the eyes of her prey, who was dancing provocatively on her lap, and smiled. This was it. But to enjoy such a kill, all her senses had to be opened fully. But even if they hadn’t she would have felt the shift. My...my god. It can’t be… What? How?! Why?! Where?! How?!? The thoughts, the surprise, was to intense to articulate. All Viola could do was use actions. She looked past Adam, her kill, and straight towards the impossible woman out there on the dance floor. Her eyes stopped glowing like they did in the hunt and dulled down to their natural chestnut. Her hair was still in that tight bun, but it felt like every strand on her head would soon fall of in surprise. The signature thin red lips, parted in an agape mouth. With one swipe from her titanium laced and sharpened fingernails she slit Adam’s throat, then pushed the corpse over onto the floor. The smell of the blood didn’t even cause her to blink. The vampire slid off her stool and stepped forward, her black stilettos unheard by all in the room except her, and well, the other as well -- only they would have the heightened senses to filter that noise out from the deafening dubstep. Once she arrived just inches away from her...her equal, she looked her over and concentrated just a little harder. She was...wait...she was even older than Viola! Even older...she thought that was impossible after she’d killed Gerrard in 95’. Only by a few precious years. She never thought such a small amount of time could be important to her anymore. In keeping with the abilities of a half millennia vampire, she could tell the woman’s age, powers and such. But that meant she could tell all of Viola’s statistical information too. How….interesting. How new. “I don’t know whether I should be angry...afraid…” she said, knowing only the other could hear her in the club noise, “or a little turned on,” the vampire finished with a wicked smile.” (Took me a bit over ten years to do this but here ya gO at lAST. I'm so sorry hhhhhh )) Melodica had entered Under the Sea only a long moment earlier, her chin held high with an air of confidence. The woman's almost unbelievably long black hair fell smoothly around her frame, waterfalling gently down her shoulders and then following the curve of her lean body. She very quickly began letting herself glance around, to coolly study those around her. The outfit she wore seemed to expose quite a bit of skin, a wine red lace crop-top, then a silky skirt of black rippling around her before stopping just above her knees. She then stood on heeled black boots. Nobody interested her greatly at the very first glance, but her attention darted to the side, and she then tipped her chin towards the sound of clicking on the dirty floor, advancing on her. Her crimson red eyes held a bland curiousity, seeing as Viola was nearly as old as her. Melodica lifted her chin, listening to the other vampire speaking. As Viola finished, she wore a sly grin, "No reason to be angry, I've not done anything to you yet," She spoke over her shoulder at first before turning fully, her brow arched slightly and her black lips parted before she continued her words, "Afraid isn't something only you would feel in my presence, so that's not very accurate," She paused a moment, "So if turned on is how you do feel out of the three options I wouldn't be surprised, hon'."“Oh, but when am I not feeling turned on, m’lady,” Viola teased and cast a glance backwards to the corpse now being hungrily devoured by some scavenger vamps barely out of their 100’s. Poor Adam -- he never achieved his purpose. But, Viola guessed in a way, he was now a kind of charity donation she’d made to the greater good of blood-sucker kind. So that was some sort of consolation. She slowly paced round her equal, the skin tight black leather of her dress glinting against the strobe light. The garment was beaded with blood -- so much of it had spilled on her already. Yet, she was still happy to spill more, so she made her way to the side of the dance floor and spoke in Brazilian to a bartender who produced a bottle, oblong and made of pure obsidian. From that bottle a murky liquid was poured into two martini glasses and Viola brought one to the other. “Ghost blood -- hard to come by, but it’s good to relax the soul,” she said and took a sip of hers, the blood lighting up her eyes with a light lavender glow. She, for some reason or other, was particularly sensitive to it, and it hit her like a freight train of adrenaline and endorphins. “Maybe I should just be afraid of you,” Viola murmured, “after all -- I haven’t felt fear since the seventies. Although...it is out of character for me. Perhaps, I’ll decide what to feel, after you tell me what you feel, m’lady,” the sweet vampire murmured, stroking her titanium fingernails down her equal’s cheek before slipping backwards into a barstool nearby.

[[omg guyyyyys I’m sorry I’m like never on. (for reasons why see spoiler rant. It’s a huge pity party for me so is chill if u don’t click the rant) ]] [[So, I, like kinda everyone else on here suffers from *something* that means they just can’t live up to average human being standards. The universe decided to pick out depression, insomnia, dyspraxia and then this kind of weird almost-diabetes uncontrollable weight gain thing that doesn’t have a name but it’s annoying (?) out of the chronic illness lucky dip for me.
So, all that is sh*t, right, but I’m lucky cause my parents are awesome and they help me, so I don’t need to worry about part time jobs (which is good cause midwifery studying requires you work 36 hr a week in hospitals) the now cause they’re helping me fund my flat and my car (fun fact, anyone in the UK who’s under like 35 or some bs has to pay £700 ($1000) insurance a year, so das why my car expensiveeee to run).
HOWEVER, I’m still working 5 days a week, trying to get eight hours a night, constantly thinking about my upcoming surgery in august(?) (bypass. yay(?) and cooking, shopping, and cleaning for myself and trying to do all that while you feel sad all the time is not fun and let's not get me started on the spirituality crisis cause that’s a whole lot of fun to go through when you think you might die anyway from your blood sugar and did I mention I have an exam that if I can’t fail cause it’s a resit but I have no time to study for and start on labour ward (which is the hardest ward (?) in 2 days start a new therapist who I’m super worried we can’t afford and am trying to figure out desperately how to have children on my own cause I’m too emotionally vulnerable to enter into a relationship but also my only dream is to become a mother????????
So, /that/ is why I’m not on of late.
Tl;dr: I’m bad at tidying up my flat so that’s why I’m never on.]] *** @tobster100 Elah curled her stare into her drink. The food was served, but the waiter said nothing. Thank god, she thought. She didn’t feel like talking to humans at the moment -- they wouldn’t understand. “It wasn’t the relationship that bothered me -- I’m fine with being betrayed...well, not fine, but I could’ve handled it. But the fact that it meant my family…” The woman steeled herself, her gaze turning sharp. “..were murdered, isn’t something I’ll ever forgive myself for. They were everything. I don’t really have much direction without them.” *** Sparkly “That’s one word for it,” Violet chuckled, still choking out water. She cast one eye over Aurora -- no structural damage, the graymatter wasn’t oozing out her ears… “Desmond protected you well -- must’ve put healing thaumaturgy in you for when you got sick or hurt. Cause, well,” Violet gestured to one area of her caved in skull. “You should be very dead.” *** [[@holyheart welcome! Are you updating your character anymore or do you want me to put it up just like that?]] *** [[ leobloise will reply but it’ll take me a bit longer. Should be up today though.]] (No you can put her in Lily)

I'm so sorry that took me thirty years to get out hhh... )) Also-- I hope I'm not being annoying -- I was wondering if it might be alright for me to make a werewolf character? I ask because I was thinking of making her a full-blood alpha female, but that might seem a bit extreme. I would totally understand if not because you probably don't want very many alpha wolves in general in this rp, let alone full-bloods as they are so rare. )) Lilystar88 [[Nah full bloods are just proper werewolves, half bloods are just like werewolf carriers. So yeah no that sounds good. I could make a character to match with it, or we can pull it into another rp (perhaps Elah and Fang's once it's developed or Viola and Melodica if they want like, a werewolf friend to like kill people with. ]] Coolliooo. c: I should have the form out at least by today once I get a chance, and I'm cool with anything for her honestly. She's a character I've developed for quite a while, and some may honestly consider her a bit insane.) Also, I'll try to reply when I'm doing that.))

Viper Jones // Female // Werewolf, // March 22, 1989. Age: 26. Appears around her age.
Viper is a well-built woman, and while her frame is muscular, she is also nimble and very capable of moving quickly and quietly. The werewolf is very sly, deceitful, and unworthy of trust. She is most typically considered strange by many other werewolves, partially due to the fact that she finds barely any urge inside of her to include herself in a pack. While in a way this does make her weaker, she is powerful in the sense that she's good at manipulating others, and she's just simply physically powerful. Often times she will not hesitate for even a moment to attack if provoked. Or even if she wasn't. Although sometimes she enjoys playing a game where she isn't really 'bad'. Viper has slightly wavy hair bleached blonde reaching a bit past her chin, streaked with yellow and blue of bright tones. Naturally, her eyes are brown starting to turn a slightly more amber-like color around the outer rims of her irises, but she almost always has contacts in that make her eyes appear bright yellow or gold. She very much enjoys living up to her name, physically and otherwise.
((Boop. Hope it's alright that I made her-- uh... the way she is? I can totally change anything that you want to pretty much any extent honestly.)) ((I'll get a reply up fairly soon hopefully.))

Sparkly Violet pulled a wicked smirk into place on her lips. She could've jumped or clapped, but opted for a more threatening and seductive look. Was she doing it right? Gah, who knew. Who cared. "Well, I think it's about time I met your parents, don't you?" she said innocently, then spun around on her doc martins and started bounding up the pathway towards the edge of the woods, all the while spouting nonsense. "And maybe, perhaps afterwards, we could go shopping? I just have to get more clothes before I go back in the tower. Ooo, and I want to know how computers worked out. Oh, and did they ever get rid of Thatcher? Is anyone still wearing shoulderpads? Did any big disasters happen on the turn of the millennium like they said they would? Is Madonna still making music? What about Prince, and Duran Duran? Ohh and--" Violet had long stopped paying attention to her surroundings, and at that moment tripped over a small rock in the path, landing on the floor she grunted "Well, I guess some things never change," she mumbled with a smile still on her face.

Aurora grinned, trying to suppress a snort of laughter. She jogged up to Violet, offering a hand to help her up. "I'll update you on the way back," She said. "What year were you last out of the tower in?" Apparently, history classes were paying off now. She hoped that she didn't have to try to explain too much of the internet, though - Some bits of the web were just a hot mess.

Trying desperately to keep my virginity while my mother was coaxing me to give it up..." Then, violet turned bright red -- quite a feat for someone with so little blood left. "Wait, I forgot what that means to humans. Means something totally different for vampires. Virgin vampires are those who've never feasted on blood, not, uhh...the other thing," she said, blushing even more then gulping. "Which is kinda a big thing according to my mother which is why she left me alone for two years with it. But when she started to get more and more pushy with it I met Desmond and...well, he helped me escape."

"I don't want to lead. Certainly not on my own. But...there are certain ways you could solidify your leadership as alpha, and a way I could be a high ranking beta, both at the same time if we..." She looked away, then smiled, before grabbing her quesadilla and shoving the corner of it in her mouth, hardly chewing it before she swallowed. "...became good friends, so to speak," Elah finished.

At this point, her internal state was mostly that of an ant who had just been informed of the intricate details of the Geneva Convention - In other words, she was confused and slightly panicked. "My mind was going places. Anyway," She continued. "Things have changed quite a bit. For a start, the internet has progressed quite a bit. Wait, did they have internet in 1989? I don't know if I ever found out. Or maybe I'm just an idiot."

"You can send messages, sure, but you can find out practically anything, too! And you can watch videos, and see photos, and there's probably too much to list." Aurora rolled her shoulders, smiling. "But, you do have to be careful. The internet is useful, but people take advantage of it. If somebody gets past security measures on a device connected to the internet, they could get at all sorts of personal information. So, if you start using it, which I don't doubt, you gotta be careful." She herself had been hacked, way back when she was thirteen or fourteen, and she definitely didn't want her new friend to go through that.

Violet gulped at the story, and then withdrew back into herself -- the fear that Aurora had first found her in started to flow back into her.
"I...don't think I'll use it then. It'll be too dangerous," she murmured, then looked both left and right. Even now, after all this time, she was forever watching for Viola's spy's.
"Mother could find me...then...well, then its goodbye Violet and hello Countess Bloodmancer. I don't think she'll ever stop hunting for me either."

(Took me a bit over ten years to do this but here ya gO at lAST. "Not sure, hon'. But maybe you shouldn't go around saying such things to random strangers." Melodica purred coolly. She noticed the tangy scent of blood, exposed on the ground. The woman's crimson red gaze flicked towards the source, boredom showing in their depths as she studied the young vampires surrounding the body. However, she couldn't help but smirk almost cockily as she looked at them. It was simple, really. They were younger than her. Much younger. So she didn't care at all for them. The smirk remained on her face slyly as the other woman-- practically her equal-- paced around her before moving away for a moment. She paid keen attention to Viola's actions in retrieving the ghost blood, for safety's sake. Sure, she was older and didn't think Viola would dare do anything to her, but whatever. Better safe rather than sorry. She contained the grin along her plump, full lips as Viola returned with the container filled with fogged liquid in martini glasses. She gladly took the blood, her long black nails clicking against the glass. She put on a bit more of a slightly bitter-sweet smile in a way, "Thank you, I appreciate it." Her voice was calm and loose as she spoke. Melodica let out a short laugh, before responding coolly, "Maybe you should be afraid, that seems to be what many others feel, so I wouldn't mind really. But still, that's boring and does seem to be out of character for you," She watched Viola move to the barstool, feeling her smooth fingernails brush against her own pale skin. She simply swept forward, lifting one hand to grasp Viola's chin lightly, the other hand holding the martini glass filled with the delightful ghost blood. "You wish to know how I feel?" She questioned slowly and softly, her brow arched and her lips pursed, "Well, my friend. I feel excited," She tightened her grip on Viola's chin, " thrilled, actually." She released her grasp on the other vampire before letting her hand drop to her side once again, "So take what you will from that. But also, please, stop calling me m'lady, instead, call me Melodica." She winked at Viola before taking a quick sip of the murky-liquid filled glass, her crimson eyes glowing softly in response.

leobloise “Hah!” Viola exclaimed, a somewhat dry tone inside her voice -- not in a sarcastic or venomous way, but it was one of the rare occasions where Viola felt her age. Because Melodica was right: fear was boring. And fear kept people alive -- the one who leaves the light on because he’s afraid of the dark, or puts motion sensors by the door of his bedroom -- all stayed alive because of it. “Well, I better follow the example of my elders then,” Viola said, slipping off the barstool. Her lips were different to Melodica’s -- where the other had plump, full things on the southpart of her face Viola had thin long lips. They were constantly stained with red lipstick, and blood, but they were still very slight. Which Viola didn’t mind. In fact, she was quite lucky to enjoy her body fully since she’d had that breast implant in the sixties so she was now full chested instead of flat. These lips and breasts were pressed up against Melodica now as Viola slipped round and off the chair, mere centimeters away from the other’s ears as she whispered; “come with me, Melodica,” and then walked away through the crowd, almost enjoying as some idiot made a mess of his kill and a severed carotid artery sprayed blood all over her -- painting her in red zig zags. She didn’t even flinch. Soon she was at the door of the club and out into the streets of Curitiba. It wasn’t the most high end part of the city they were in -- which annoyed Viola. The tips of her shoes were becoming dusty. With one clear, resounding fingersnap it became obvious that Viola still enjoyed using fear on others, even if she rarely felt it herself. For the bouncer jumped up right away from his slumped position and hurried to the valley who was already running round the side of the club, speaking angrily in Brazilian. Within seconds a limo had arrived by the door. The driver’s window rolled down. “I’m so sorry Ms--” “Faster next time, darling,” she said sweetly before poking the driver in the throat, enjoying the sound of him choking and spluttering is as he tried to cope with the pain and the driving. Poor thing was only in his sixties, so healing took longer. “So,” the self-pronounced Vampire Queen said, plopping herself down on a seat in the limo and helping herself to a bottle of red wine now. Useless for nutrition and for getting drunk, but she still enjoyed the taste. “Is Melodica your birth name? Seems a little far fetched for the fifteenth century.”

I don't think she'll ever stop hunting for me either." "If you're that worried, I won't force you," Aurora replied. "Though, it would probably be best if we got you a simple phone or something so we can communicate if we ever get separated. But," She said, gesturing ahead of them. The forest path was opening up to the urban sights of the main town. "We're almost in Bristol proper. With any luck, my parents won't be in - I know where they keep the spare key, so we can get in, see if we can get what we need, and get out without anybody noticing."

"How is a phone going to help us? They can't be moved out the house," Violet said, but didn't inherently object to the idea.
Soon they were among the sunshine of summer and the sights of the urban English city. She hadn't grown up here, she'd grown up in the states, but she enjoyed it all the same.
"Where's the nearest taxi stand?" she asked Aurora, looking around for any sign of transport.

Violet tilted her head to the side slightly then looked out towards the cars running up and down the street. There wasn't any real indication of where they were, let alone how to get anywhere else. Well, not for her at least, but she hadn't exactly been out much.
"Do you know anywhere local around about your house? Perhaps a church or something that the taxi driver would know?"

He smiled and looked into her eyes for a moment, his own showing kindness and love. “I guess only time will tell, my pretty Beta.” He murmured to her happily, his big, rough hands holding hers gently. He then chuckled and picked up his own food and started eating as well.
