"I dunno. For all I know, there could be some spell or something over it. It's not like they'd tell me." Aurora sighed, combing a few stray hairs away from her face. "Well, I suppose that that plan is out. Any other ideas?" Today was getting pretty sucky, in Aurora's opinion. ( Lilystar88)

Elah grinned, leaning her hand further into his. She simply enjoyed his touch for a while, her mind relaxing into the tempting thoughts of what could be. Then, she pulled back and ate a bit more of her food, all the while merely looking at Fang.
But a mind as sharp as hers was trained to never be totally distracted from danger. And as soon as two individuals came to the front of the bar, looking at the menu's on the door as if deciding whether or not to eat there, Elah knew she was surrounded.
"Don't look now," she murmured lowly, "But by the door are Francis and Darryl. I can smell them. They're low -- used to be omega's -- so they can't pinpoint my scent but they do know my face. So, as long as I don't turn around we won't get attacked but...but they will pick up your scent soon enough. Alphas are...distinctive."

Sparkly Violet smirked. "A trap?" she asked. "Something to lure your parents out of the house and to a set point where we can trap them and get them to reverse the curse!" The idea had it's merits, but there were a lot of variables. However time was running out -- pain curses could kill people, she knew, and the sun was starting to cause a few people to stare -- because even with gothic make up, no one should be /this/ pale.

"Good idea!" Aurora replied, grinning. "We can at least give it a go." She bit her lower lip for a moment, trying to think of a good lure. "Seeing as they don't want me to be a part of the Bristol Society, we could send them a message saying that if they meet us in a certain place at a certain time, we'll discuss me leaving, but it's actually a trap?" She suggested. "Sounds good! Contact them with...the future things. I don't know how to send communique's anymore. Do we have hovercars yet?" Violet asked, then slunk back into the shade of a building overhang when some people walked by them, looking at Violet very suspiciously. "And lets hurry -- its not long before someone grabs a pitchfork. What do you want me to do in the trap? I'm useless and thaumaturgy, and my biggest weapons are my fangs that I really, really don't want to use..."

“All the packs know that I’n establishing a small pack and I have permission from all the packs around here, including your former pack. I have signed legal documentation from saying that there will be no fighting in town, and it can’t be revoked simply by a change in Alpha. We are safe here, don’t worry. But I’ll at least help you cover your identity.” He said. He slowly got up and maneuvered around the table and slid in beside her, smiling softly. Pulling his plate over he kept eating nonchalantly. “If needed, we can leave.” He murmured to her softly.

"There's no hovercars yet, but there was this huge thing with these things called hoverboards a few years ago. They didn't actually hover or anything, and tended to explode." Aurora shrugged. "And... Can you like, stand there and be threatening? I think that my parents are bit scared of vampires, so you just being there will probably make them more likely to reverse the curse." She looked around. "Let's go back into the forest. I don't think that people will be the friendliest towards us after all... that." She quickly dodged back into the woods, narrowly missing tripping over on a tree root.

With that, the runaway vampire said nothing more and merely skipped through the forest pathways, enjoying the sunshine immensely. Well, that was an understatement, she said some more things like. "So, if the hover/boards/ explode then I can still use them cause I can't die!" and "Maybe, I'll come towards your parents /on/ a hoverboard. Some student at the university is bound to have one I can /borrow/." [[bbl worktime. 'Mon the nightshift (?) ]]

"And so close to moon-time there has been moments of--" Her voice was stilled in fear as the two individuals made their way over to the table. Francis -- a six foot two bald man, with a large leather jacket, sat down at their table -- anger and vengeance hungry in his eyes. But his voice was icy cool. "Hi Elah," he murmured. "I see you've got a new friend," His eyes shifted over to Fang.

Fang had been looking away from the two gentlemen as they sat down but as Elah shifted and looked at him he in turn looked up and returned an even icier stare straight into Francis’s eyes. “Oi, Francis. Long time no see. You’re looking well, even better than when you tried to attack me outside your territory. How’s that shoulder sound doing, by the way?” He asked with a hauntingly calm and even tone. It was clear he’d had lots of practice in manipulating his tone and intimidating others. “The name’s Fang, by the way.” He added. “And you know, tour new Alpha isn’t nearly as innocent and trustworthy as you might think.” He added on to the end, just to try and mess with him.

"No hoverboards. I repeat: No hoverboards." Aurora sighed, shaking her head. "Can you go find us some shelter whilst I contact my parents? Besides, if you can't die, then you'll be able to come back and warn me if anything terrible is happening." To be honest, making a phone call wouldn't take more than five or ten minutes, but hopefully the task of finding shelter would sufficiently take Violet's mind off the absurd hoverboard idea. She very much hoped so. Violet's normally chirpy demeanor petered away and left her as a solemn, and scared little girl again. "I can die," she murmured. "It's an option if...if I start drinking." Then, she looked at Aurora. The apprentice mage was soon becoming one of her closest friends -- after all, she'd been so kind and helpful to Violet. So, she deserved protection. The vampire reached into the corner of her boot and threw over a vacutainer blood collection tube. "The last thing I stole from my mother -- a vial of her blood. Inject me with that, and I'll become mortal. Well, at least as far as injuries go."

"So that was you," he growled. "I'll remember that when I'm tasked with disposing of your corpse." You could tell from his voice he wasn't from the states -- no, his tone had a slight eastern European tinge to it. And yet, Elah couldn't help smile a little when Fang spoke to Francis like that. Neither of them made Elah truly afraid but it was Darren she was more cautious of. Francis was vicious, but old -- he didn't need the drama of an Alpha change. Darren was young, strong and personable. Yet, he'd been joined to Francis' hips when they'd arrived in the pack. Why was he not a prominent beta already? "We don't mean you any harm, Fang," Darren said. "We can all co-exist peacefully, I hope. But we do need her." And he pointed one bony finger towards Elah. "Dekkan is a liar! Don't pretend like you're not already suspicious," she growled.

"... Why?" Aurora asked, confused. She turned the vial of blood over in her hand, staring down at it. "Why would you want to be mortal?" It... It made no sense. If Violet could die from injuries, it would be infinitely more dangerous to carry out their plan. For both of them. If one of Aurora's parents killed Violet... She didn't know if she'd ever be able to forgive herself. "Because if everything else fails...and your parents need to be stopped no matter what...we have one last weapon," Violet said and revealed her fangs, alongside a purple glow to her eyes. Then, she curled up and looked down in shame. It wasn't something she wanted to use. But...she'd rather give herself up than see the society at Bristol come to an end...and see Aurora come to an end too.

Aurora sighed, dropping her head to stare at the ground. It was true. She supposed. She looked up, biting her lower lip. "Okay. But I am not going to let you die because I didn't want to be normal for once in my life. Got it?" Aurora cocked her head to one side, her gaze meaningful. A shy, but hopeful and quite touched smile escaped Violet's lips. Perhaps there was something worth living for. Being trapped in that tower...she'd forgotten that possibility. "Right, now go make that phone call!" she encouraged. "I'll sit in this tree and practice my best 'vampire scary face'," she said and then hopped into the branches of a sycamore that lay by the path.

Aurora smiled, turning away. She actually couldn't believe that she'd managed to make a friend! And such a great friend, at that. She pulled out her mobile phone, dialling. The ensuing conversation was mostly obscured, but if anybody had been able to hear, they'd have heard this:
"Hi, Mum. I'd just like to say that-"
"Why are you calling us?"
"I'm getting to that. I'd like to say-"
"Why. Are. You. Calling. Us?"
"Stop interrupting me, and I'll tell you. I'm calling to say-"
"I thought that you were with that... Society now."
"That's what I'm saying. I'm not with them."
"... What?"
"I'm not with the Bristol Society anymore. If you and Dad meet me at the side of the lake closer to the town, and we can talk about it. Okay?"
"I suppose."
"Okay, thanks. Bye."
Aurora hung up, sighing. Well. The plan was in motion, now.

Violet smirked and jumped down from the tree. Her expression was much more crafty now.
"Now all we need is a trap! Do you think, if I got you the ingredients and taught you the ritual, you could create a blood separating potion -- that one will distill your parents blood out of your blood -- and then we can use that to make a pain curse for them...to force them to change it back, perhaps?"

"I really don't want to use pain against them," Aurora admitted. "No matter how many lives may have been lost - Or potentially lost - At their hands, and no matter how many bad things they did, I felt the pain curse that they cast over the Bristol Society, and, well..." She sighed, clasping her hands behind her back. "Nobody should ever have to experience that. Not even criminals." Violet sighed. Aurora was right -- it was frustrating being a good person sometimes. "How do you suppose we force them to remove it then? I hardly think they will if we just ask."

Violet grinned. "Then, all that's needed is a little forcefield I think. Doctor Desmond has one in the society -- it works like a motion sensor. As soon as your parents hit it they'll be trapped in a dome. Problem is, you'll need to lure them close enough to it."

"We could pretend that we've found something, or that we need to show them a document of some sort," Aurora suggested. "I'm sure that the prospect of seeing a stolen document from the Society would be practically irresistible for them." "Better than just pretending we have some..." Violet turned around, faced in the direction of the society and screamed "TRIXIE!!!!!!!" so loud that the birds fled from the trees. In an instant, the ghost that had sent Aurora to the black tower showed, growling in frustration. "Vampires can scream into the underworld, and that's where Trix spends most of her time," the vampire explained to her friend. "What do you want?" the irritated ghost asked. "The red cube Desmond keeps for traps and some doccuments -- juicy ones -- from the society. Think you can do that?" "Think you can leave me alone?" Beatrice asked, one eyebrows raised. But she disappeared then appeared again, shoving both items into Violet's hands and the vampire turned to Aurora triumphantly.
